The room was very good and clean. Included in the price were coffee pods and some drinks in the mini-bar. It also gave a great view of New Year's Eve fireworks. The breakfast was more than excellent, outstanding. A couple of strange things did happen related to the availability of robes for the spa area and to the sauna itself, which was a shame as that was my whole reason for going. But nonetheless an enjoyable stay.

A really excellent hotel with very friendly and attentive staff.
I liked that the room had a safe, however for a forced or hotel I would’ve expected an ironing board to be included within the room and not have to request it at reception.
The room was large as was the bathroom and it was a quiet building as well, very well insulated.
The first couple of nights it was very hot and it was nice that the room had air-conditioning.
I do feel that the breakfast was rather expensive for what it was, that is probably only the - point in my feedback.

2nd time staying here for Oktoberfest. 10min walk to the train and ~20 minute ride to Oktoberfest. Hotel is quiet, clean and good breakfast menu. Bar is also comfy and reasonably priced.

I recently stayed here, a hotel I’ve chosen multiple times in the past due to its excellent service and peaceful environment.
Unfortunately, during my latest stay, I experienced a concerning issue. On the first night, I left six personal Nespresso capsules in my room, intending to use them with the in-room machine. When I returned, they were missing. I reported this to the front desk three times, across different shifts, but no resolution or explanation was provided.

I had a lovely stay here. The hotel was in good condition and the staff were helpful. The roof-top patio and spa area is pleasant.

The immediate area is not as lovely. It is set on a fairly busy street with a Getraenkemarkt and gas station directly across - so lighted red signage is a main component of the view from the windows. It is about a 10 minute walk to the lake.

Nice comfortable clean rooms. Only complaint is there is only one restaurant in the hotel in which you need to make reservation to eat because they did not have enough waiters even though restaurant is not full. Especially dinner time . I personally find it uncomfortable specifically if you check in at night . Literally you out of options to eat nice dinner.

Excellent choice for a quiet Bavarian getaway

Nice hotel in a lovely area just outside of the main Munich metro area. Not possibly at the same quality level of other Four Seasons hotels but still very nice in terms of quality and service. We ate at Aubergine one night which was excellent (however quite expensive). Overall a great experience and one I would do again.

Of all the places we stayed on our recent stay in Europe, the Vier Jahreszeiten/Starnberg was by far the best. Not only is it elegant, but the staff has made a concerted effort at service. All staff from housekeeping to garage attendant make an effort towards friendly engagement. We ate in the restaurant 4 times, and the food was excellent!

Brilliant Hotel

Stayed at this fantastic hotel at the end of September while visiting Oktoberfest in Munich. A short 5 min walk takes you to the S-Bahn station and from there Munich is only 15-20 min ride away. 10 min walk in the other direction and you're on the shores of beautiful Lake Starnberg. The hotel is incredibly modern and clean. The rooms are huge, with a sitting area and large well appointed bathroom with seperate walk in shower. Wonderful views from the Spa and sun deck. Breakfast was also top notch, with a great selection as well as full cooked breakfast and omlettes made to order. The bar was a bit pricey but I guess you can't have everything.

Liked very much the complementary mini bar. A great idea and our own water etc could be accommodated.in the fridge. Mini bars in most hotels are a rip off. Here in Singapore the mini bar is Completely full and no room for even a bottle of water. Keep up the good work.

No visit, but had to pay!

Due to weather was not able to travel to Germany on business. Hotel would not accommodate me and made me pay the entire bill! This is not a customer friendly establishment! Next time over on business will find another hotel.

By the way the previous stay over there there were spiders in the room and was bitten!

Nice hotel but difficult to find

This hotel ticked all the necessary boxes and had a very pleasant gym/spa but it was very difficult to find. The taxi got completely lost, late at night and so it was a very stressful arrival. The receptionist said this was a common problem.

Warmly welcomed by front desk. Managed to check in early and rent 2 bikes at 12euros for 4 hours. Nice touch to provide free minibar of drinks. Gym is a little lacking in equipment but the sauna facilities were excellent!

Nice, big room. Very modern and clean. Very nice breakfast. Just a shame that a) there was a nespesso coffee maker, but no milk for the coffee; and b) there was nothing to eat after 11pm - not even snacks or crisps. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We stayed here during Oktoberfest. The room was very nice with complimentary drinks. The breakfast was awesome. Lots of choices. Within walking distance to the train station, from which the S-line takes you right to Oktoberfest. It was nice to come back from busy Munich to an area that if much quieter. The lake is very nice as well. Would definitely stay here again.

elegant, close to lake, service need to get better

breakfast on Saturdays only until 10am...bang on time the buffet gets taken away. we have this problem anytime we stay there.
also:
-wakecall was completelly forgotten (s. above-breakfast time), but staff was helpful to sort things it out and offered to take 2 breakfast for our guests off the bill
-the sauna broke off during our first round, couldn't be used thereafter
-restaurant was closed for event (we have not been made aware of it before arrival)
-reception forgot to inform us of arrival of a delivery so we had to drive back for pick up
still:
the hotel is nice and we have been there several time, it's conviently close to the lake so we can walk there, the sauna area is nice and clean,
due to booking situation we have been upgraded to junior suite, significantly bigger as rooms and cosy with sofa and 2nd TV

Great Hotel

The overall service and atmosphere of the hotel was of a very friendly nature. All staff we spoke to spoke English and were most helpful with assisting us, whenever we needed them. Hotel itself is a 10 min walk into Starnberg town, and surprisingly quaint and a beautiful place. Lots of places to eat and shop. Lake is also very close. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - a huge selection to choose from. You even have a chef who makes fresh omelette or fried eggs should you choose. A particular mention to Mat at reception, he was always at hand and very friendly. Would happily recommend this hotel and would not hesitate staying here again - as Starnberg has a lot offer and do - shame didn't really have enough time to do more sight seeing as was busying myself helping plan my sisters wedding in Starnberg! Did I forget to mention that the beds were huge!

Starnberger See Hotel a Good Option

Hotel is new, not more than 6 yrs old, well placed on main thorough fare of the town. Located close to the lake so its a 10 minute walk to the local beach. The restaurant breakfast is very good - wide selection of hot and cold options.

The room beds are singles [not a north american double bed] and with duvets and come with mini bar.

Hotel is a 5 min walk from the town core which is quite beautiful with lots of high end shopping.

The hotel is not part of either the Kempinski brand nor the Four Seasons Hotel chain as confirmed by the front desk. It is an independent operator, family owned.

Front desk staff are bilingual - German/ English and offer good service.

Super Hotel in der Nähe des Starnberger Sees. In die Innenstadt 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Gutes Frühstück mit Eier Station, viel Obst und guten Säften, die Auswahl hat aber noch etwas Potential. Zum Beispiel fehlten ein paar besondere Dinge wie Antipasti oder Lachs. Statt dem angebotenen Prosecco hätte ich lieber ein frisch gepressten Orangensaft gehabt. Insgesamt 4 von 5 Sternen, auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Parkmöglichkeiten gegen Aufpreis von 18€ pro Tag. Dies war nicht ganz transparent oder zumindest wurde dies vorher nicht kommuniziert. Das Hotel ist einwandfrei, das Personal ist sehr professionell und freundlich. Das Zimmer war in hervorragendem Zustand.

Das Spa hat mir sehr gut gefallen,das Fitnesscenter ist etwas klein mit nur 3 Geräten.
Beim Auschecken war vor mir ein Ehepaar aus Düsseldorf,die wohl direkt über das Hotel gebucht hatten,denen gab der junge Mann beiden noch eine Flasche Wasser mit,mich hat er nicht gefragt.Mir geht es nur um die Geste,ich kann mein Wasser schon selber bezahlen
