Our stay at Hotel Ristorante La Terrazza was perfect for our 4 day visit to Assisi. The hotel is an easy 10-15 walk to town but there is also a bus stop at the hotel with a bus leaving every 30 minutes. The accommodations were clean and modern. We especially enjoyed the pool in the afternoon after a busy day exploring Assisi. Would highly recommend Hotel Ristorante La Terrazza to anyone visiting Assisi.

This is our second vacation here at La Terazza in Assisi. This time, our visit coincided with World Youth Day. There was singing and dancing within the walls of Assisi. It was wonderful. Then, we could come back to LaTerrazza for a wonderful swim with fantastic views and peace. The Hotel is very new and a perfect mix of old stone and crisp clean white walls and newly remodeled room.
Will stay here again!

If you like to walk

The hotel was great and the staff were very accommodating. My only concern was the actual distance the hotel was from the center of town. It was a good walk there and back. I assumed I was closer to all of the sites by the description.

A beautiful place to stay if you are visiting Assisi. The Tili Organic winery is only a 5 minute drive and that was a hidden gem. You can drive from hotel to parking lot to go see the Basilica. Quiet & beautiful property.

One of the more beautiful stays of our trip. You could walk out our back door and pool was steps away. The view was gorgeous and it was peaceful.
The only negative was parking. We were told we would have to drive 1/4 mile(?) down the hill and park and walk back up. No offer for a ride or shuttle. However there was a parking lot next to the hotel with empty spots which was not even mentioned.
Also watch out for the hammock. Tried to sit in it and it threw me right out.

The location is fantastic! We walked to Assisi in 15 minutes. We had dinner at the hotel and the service was top notch and very pleasant ambiance. I was just thankful they had restaurant on site that I didn’t have to drive or walk elsewhere since we were tired from driving.
The room was a bit small but clean and amazing view with a balcony. I didn’t have chance to use the pool and the spa, but I saw many people were at the pool. Lovely staffs! Loved Assisi!

We had a great time at this family run hotel.It was ideally situated for Assisi a pleasant 10 min walk into the town along a safe pavement with a lovely view.
It was very hot 34/38 degrees when we were staying so we would walk into the town in the morning then relax by the lovely pool in the afternoon.

The food was excellent and good value for money,particularly at dinner.
The breakfast was also good.
The staff were all lovely and the hotel was spotlessly clean.
The rooms were on the small side but had everything in them that you could want and the patio was also very nice.
The walls were a little thin and you could at times hear conversations from the next room.
The hotel kindly arranged an excellent taxi for us from the airport and the driver was superb and the cost a lot cheaper than booking on line.
Thank you so much we had a lovely time and hope to come back.

The rooms are small by US standards.TV’s are tiny but have English channels if you change the language setting on the remote.
The view is incredible from most rooms, but be aware that all rooms don’t have views.Some rooms only look out on a wall five or six feet away.Overall this is a great hotel in a stunning city.
We didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant but the menu looked great.
Breakfast was weak.DO NOT DISTURB sign is disregarded.
I would stay here again.

We stayed at the La Terrazza on the first night of our trip having flown into Perugia Airport. Assisi is a wonderful place to visit and although this hotel is a short distance out of town, there is ample parking in Assisi if you have a hire car but I believe there is also a good local bus service from the hotel. The check was efficient and the staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable with good air conditioning , excellent wifi and a fantastic view over the valley. We used the pool which was very clean with good facilities. In the evening we decided to use the restaurant. The food and atmosphere were excellent and the service was very good although it was a little expensive. We also enjoyed the breakfast which had plenty of choice. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The view, service, room, food and bus access to Assisi were all fabulous. We walked the easy 1 Kilometer from the hotel to Assisi, but the bus made it even more convient when tired of walking. I was invited to a wedding in Assisi and booked the hotel on line. Whilst it was a bit further from the town centre than I would have preferred. I thought the standard of the hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly, proffesional and very helpful. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The bathroom fittings were modern and well maintained. In all it was very good value for money.

Arrived a little early but were quickly shown our lovely room with a view of the valley below. The air conditioner was already on and the room was spacious (for European standards) and clean. We have a great balcony with an awning. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is walking distance (about one kilometre) from the Assisi walled entrance. We had a rental car and enjoyed free parking as well as free breakfast and WiFi. Highly recommend Hotel La Terrazza.

Perfection at La Terrazza

This was our second visit to the beautiful LaTerrazza. Again, it did not disappoint.
From the moment you enter the lobby, you are treated as if you were the only guest in the hotel. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and beautifully appointed. Our private terrace allowed us full views of the Mouth Subasio valley as we sat and sipped wine in the evening. This time, we visited with our son and his wife. Our son has celiac disease so gluten free foods are his only option. In all of our travels, it was at La Terrazza that this was accomplished with ease. Sergio, the waiter from Heaven, made sure that his needs were met. It was amazing. We plan to return to LaTerrazza again and again. We cannot think of a better hotel in a better place. Hospitality at its finest. Free parking. Great breakfast choices. Great food. Stunning views. Good cappuccino. What more can we tell you?

Comfortable quiet hotel with helpful staff

The hotel is located about 15-20 minutes walk outside the centre of Assisi, there is a local bus with a stop just outside the hotel gate, the hotel displays the timetable and sells tickets which are 1.30 euro. Taxis are readily available. Our room had a lovely view of the valley below from the balcony. Its bathroom had a small nightlight which is a very sensible idea. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We arrived as a group of five people having walked on the Francigena way and were a bit late for dinner the first night. All the staff were very helpful and this was no problem. The food is nice, and there is plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet. There is a good sized swimming pool. At the time of our visit at the end of September, it had cooled a bit but was still pleasant. Parking is available. The hotel is cleverly designed to fit unobtrusively into the local surroundings but it means the dining room is below ground level, its brightly lit and contains several large landscape paintings to compensate.

Wow...Umbra... and Assisi and what a great place. Close enough to the crowds, the old medieval city, but away and quiet (walking distance to the city). Great food (more reasonable and great food then elsewhere) great people, great value. What more can I say....great pool, and great architecture. I love the place and will be back!

A very pleasant hotel in a great location about 15-20 minute walk from Assisi.
Free parking and ample parking available. Great pool with lots of comfy seating. Good speed free wi-fi. Good breakfast selection available in the large dining room.
Only thing lacking was tea/coffee making facilities in room, as we had one of the bedrooms opposite the main hotel it would have been nice if we could have made our own hot drinks. Local mini-bus service into town and tickets available at the hotel.
Very easy to find hotel. A very good hotel close to historic Assisi.
No hesitation in recommending.

Hotel Ristorante la Terrazza was really lovely. We especially enjoyed the pristine pool. The furnishings were nice, everything was spotless. Bed was comfortable, room quiet. There was even an outside balcony from which to enjoy a stunning view out to the surrounding Umbria landscape dropping away from Assisi.

Perfect situation. Just outside the town with pool. Easy to walk in. Lovely views over the countryside. Only issue was limited breakfasts

Nice hotel with great views and has parking

Free parking is a positive since most parking in the Assisi area is not free and sometimes not even on premises (outside city walls). The facilities and personnel are friendly and professional. The hotel is a bit of a walk (10-20 min) from the main part of town, just keep in mind that you cannot really get closer to the town by driving. There are shuttle busses that run from the hotel. I would recommend NOT eating at the restaurant, it is overpriced and overrated compared to other restaurants in the area. If you have a car, I highly recommend eating at La Stalla restaurant, just beware that google will navigate you through a rough gravel road to get there.

All in all, I would stay at the hotel again.

Clean and comfortable

We stayed at the Hotel Ristorante La Terrazza for 2 days in a triple room. The concierge at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The condition of the room was very good, with good decor. The room size though is quite small and felt a bit cramped despite being a triple room. The bathroom only had a shower but was fairly small. The view from our balcony onto the valley was amazing. Breakfast was limited but quite decent. The hotel is not in the centro storico of Assisi, but at a minimum 1 km away and if you do not have a car to get to one of the conveniently located parking areas outside the old city, it might be a stretch walking around (especially if travelling with kids).

Excellent centre for Assisi

Nearly everything was excellent. Good breakfast apart from drinks - nescafe (!!!!) and awful fruit juices. The one poor thing was the free internet which was somewhat unsafe with loads of interference.

La Terrazza made Assisi our favorite stop

Traveling through Italy with my unbelievable 90 year old mom was special, but quite a responsibility. La Terrazza was the perfect place. We felt safe and well taken care of by Antonello and his thoughtful staff. The rooms were clean and the grounds landscaped beautifully. The pool was so inviting that mom went in twice during our stay. I highly recommend La Terrazza!
