Personally like the self check in.. email with access codes and room information..
We arrived late and left early..
Parked on the hotel grounds.. not many spaces and no off site parking that I could see,so if it was busy parking could be an issue but not for me so all good.
The room was more than adequate for me and my grandson.. two single beds side board and a workstation..
Seems like the rooms have been recently redone..new carpet.new beds and new furniture etc...
We found it very comfortable and warm as it was the middle of November and very cold outside the heating worked a treat..
I'm not sure about others but personally all I look for is a clean bed and a hot shower.. again not disappointed as the shower was great plenty of hot running water and complimentary shower gel and soap was also available in the bathroom..
Can't advise on the area other than there is tram or train station across the road..
so overall very happy with our stay and would be happy to return...

The room itself was mostly fine. It was clean and comfortable. It had obviously been redone recently. However, the bathroom step up was a toe stubbing nightmare in the middle of the night. The shower itself was as awkward as awkward could be. The real issues were with accessibility. The paid self parking was a nightmare. It said online it would be 8 per night; however, the individual who checked us in charged us 10 per night and when I questioned the discrepancy, he said I was lucky to pay the 10 because parking on the street was 10 per hour. We were tired. We paid it and asked where in their lot to park. We were told \"anywhere.\" We came out the next morning to our car blocked in by a work van because we were parked in their space. All but 2 spaces were labeled that they belong to other businesses. The parking arm does not have a sensor, so you have to call the desk to exit. The lobby needs significant work. The street below is incredibly loud, but in the summer, you will melt without the window open so you're forced to pick your evil.

This is a very old property. Needs a lot of upkeep. There are no elevators inside the property to get the room. The rooms are very basic. There are no fans or AC in the rooms.

A bargain for the budget traveller

Stayed there for two days; two adults and a kid. Clean, neat and friendly. Small rooms, but they have what is needed. Extra plus for three proper beds in the triple room. Convenient location just a short walk from the Laim train station, which makes both city centre and airport easily accessible. Difficult to find better value for money in Munich for the budget traveller.

Hotel Tessin is a very basic, unassuming hotel in an office building very close to the Laim train station. Easy access to the train for getting around Munich was very convenient. It is also within walking distance of the Nymphenburg Palace, which is a great place for a walk.
On the downside, the hotel is in a very run down office building and a little difficult to find. Two of the outlets in our room didn’t work, nor did the two lights in either side of the bed. The lock on the room door was also a bit unnerving. The door had to be locked with a key from the inside. If there had been an emergency that required a speedy exit, it would have been a very dangerous situation.

This hotel is part of a small mixed-use building that appears to contain offices for several other small businesses. The lobby is located on what would typically be called the second floor, i.e. the level that is immediately above the floor containing the building's main entrance. The staff were generally pleasant and accommodating, patiently tolerating my very poor and limited German and allowing me to enter my room a little earlier than the standard check-in time. The hotel also has an excellent location, just 3 stops west of the Oktoberfest site if you take one of the S-line trains or about 7 stops if you take the light rail. The facilities were adequate for sleeping and storing belongings.

Clean hotel not far from downtown. If you are visiting to party then this is a great hotel not far from the train station. There is a bar that plays loud music from maybe 9pm until midnight or so. But if you are out partying or really tired, you will not notice.

Well, we thought since it was just one night we would stay near our friend. But oh my. The place needs a rehab. Paint is peeling, a previous visitors cigarettes left on the porch, the pillows were lumpy and tiny, bed uncomfortable. If It wasn’t so late I would have left and found new accommodations despite being stuck with the bill.

No frills hotel for a short stay

Little hotel, conveniently located close to the S-Bahn, with great connection to the center of München. Room was small, but comfortable. The only thing I really did not like was that the room had no air-conditioning, nor one single fan, thus in the peak of summer one has to sleep with the window open. This proved to be a massive problem, as I was given a room with a window facing the bar next door, which meant I could not sleep until well past 2-3am every night...

I booked a room in the hotel about 6 hours before arrival since it showed up on the search on hotels.com. I got a confirmation email from hotels.com, but when I showed up-within the window of the check-in period, I couldn't even get inside no matter how many times I rang the bell at the entrance of the building. I had no data so had to find a wifi to connect to just to make a call to the hotel, and of course, no one picked up. I had to scramble to book another hotel to stay for the night

Very nice hotel for the value. Our room was clean and a very comfortable bed. Some pictures in other websites it shows how this hotel used to look but it’s been remodeled, rooms are very modern now. Only I didn’t like was that since I saw some reviews saying hotel was near the city, I thought it was like walking distance but instead t’s like 4-5 stops from marientplaz, which is the area with all the attractions. Other than the distance we had a great 2 days stay in this hotel recommended if you like to be out of all the tourist in central station.

I don't even know where to start. The proximity to city centre is not even close to what Hotels.com said it was. We arrived to an office building with old buzzers that said to hit 1 for Hotel Tessin. After buzzing several times, the door was finally opened. We entered an elevator that was hardly big enough for 2 people. The hotel itself is outdated. Reception is a small, wood-panelled box. There is old bumpy and stained red carpet throughout the hotel and the wallpaper is also stained and peeling. The hallways were dark. We got to our room and it was not much better than the lobby. The sign said to dial \"0\" if we needed anything - there was no phone! We got the wifi password from the cleaning staff and immediately booked another hotel without even taking off our coats. Worst hotel I've ever seen.

Hotel Garni Tessin is located on the first floor of an office / apartment block.
The entrance is not particularly glamorous, and the tight hallways would be awkward for people carrying heavy luggage. The rooms are small but adequate, clean and well aired. Bed is comfortable and with good quality linens. The room also hosts a large 30\" flatscreen TV. WiFi signal in the room was good. Snacks and refreshments including beer are available from a vending machine at reception. Hotel is located adjacent to Laim S-Bahn station, ca 250m walk giving quick and easy access to all of the city.
Overall, as far as the City of Munich is concerned, this accommodation provides good value for money.

The walls at this hotel are paper thin. I mean PAPER thin! We heard EVERY single sound the couple next door made....and they were vocal....for three hours. It was horrible, so glad my kids weren't with. The room and hotel smelt of smoke.

Small hotel, with smaller rooms. The hotel is situated near a metro stop, which was convenient. The hotel is part of an apartment building. The single rooms are very small but clean. Good for 1 night or in transit. My room also included free Wi-Fi and breakfast (which I did not try). There was fruit and bottled water in my room, which was also nice.

Tiny room, awkward stairs to floor/room, no wifi

It was an ok hotel. Ive been to Europe many times, and am used to small rooms. This was tiny. The other 2 I went with were shocked. (We did add a 3rd bed/cot but barely fit and could not open balcony door) Couldnt get wifi in the room and we were right above lobby. As international traveler without cell service, we rely on wifi to communicate. And check weather. The cot/roll away bed was very uncomfortable.
The staff was nice, had tourist map, helped point out places of interest. Since couldnt get wifi in room 1 floor above, we sat in the dining room. She let us until she had to lock up at leave at 10pm.

Für Preisbewusste direkt am S-Bahnhof Laim. Das Bett war ein wenig durchgelegen. Das Fenster ließ sich nicht nur komplett öffnen, daher ungeeignet für Nachts zum Lüften. Badezimmer sehr klein, Dusche hat lange gebraucht zum Warmwerden. Wände und Türen sehr dünn - jeden morgen wurde durch Mitarbeiter geweckt die anfingen das Frühstück vorzubereiten. Davon abgesehen war es trotz der Lage direkt an der Straße recht ruhig. Die Zimmertür wurde schon mehrfach notdürftig repariert, den sichersten Eindruck hat sie auf mich nicht gemacht.

Ich habe ein günstiges Hotel in der Nähe vom Hbf in München gesucht. Ich habe ein Einzelzimmer gebucht und ein Dreibettzimmer bekommen. Ich war angenehm überrascht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr einfach, aber gut. Das Frühstück habe ich einmal hinzugebucht. Das Frühstück hätte etwas mehr Auswahl haben können. Ich kann die Unterkunft empfehlen, wenn man im teuren München übernachten möchte und wenig Wert auf Luxus legt.

Die Klingel zum Hotel war defekt, das Parken vom Auto unmöglich - zu weit weg und ohne LICHT! Das Zimmer stinkt nach Rauch und es waren überall Brandflecken. Personal kann nicht mal deutsch. Ganz furchtbar, wenn es minus Punkte geben würde, würde ich die geben. Für 20-30€ kann man es vermieten, absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Das Beste vorweg: ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in einer durchweg sauberen Unterkunft. Dass man keinen Chic In einem neuen Business Hotel erwarten kann, war klar.
Es ist halt alles im Stil der Neunzigerjahre und sehr einfach gehalten. Dennoch ist das Personal zuvorkommend und die Unterkunft ist in jeglicher Hinsicht sauber. Es war zwar alles Basic, aber alles bis zum Duschgel Spender war tatsächlich vorhanden. Die Umgebung ist aber gruselig, wofür das Hotel nichts kann.
Mein Fazit: wenn man in der Nähe arbeiten muss und morgens keine großen Wege haben möchte, kann man das durchaus machen.
Man merkt, dass ich Mühe gegeben wird, es den Gästen so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.
Ach ja, ich habe für kleines Geld ein guten Parkplatz und ebenfalls für sehr kleines Geld ein sehr ordentliches Frühstück bekommen.

Zum nur schlafen ohne besondere Ansprüche absolut okay. Das kleine Zimmer hat fast alles was man braucht wenn man keine Ansprüche hat: Dusche, Safe, Schrank, TV, Wlan, WC, Handtücher, Zusatzkissen, Tisch, Stuhl, Heizung (jetzt im Winter schön warm). Sauberkeit war akzeptabel. Zum Frühstück kann ich nichts sagen - wir hatten ohne Frühstück gebucht. Die Rezeption war von früh bis ca 21 Uhr besetzt, daher ist es sinnvoll, wenn man länger unterwegs ist, seine 3 Schlüssel mitzunehmen (sonst kommt man nicht mehr rein). Trotz Zimmer neben einer vielspurigen Hauptverkehrsstraße und Nähe der Gleise war es durch Doppelfenster absolut ruhig. Das Hotel ist in einem Hochhaus mit integriert - das Hotel befindet sich dort im 1. Stock (Aufzug dorthin vorhanden). Im Hotel an sich gibt es dann 2 Stockwerke, jedoch ohne Aufzug.
Was etwas nervte ist der Weg von der S-Bahn zum Hotel. Dieser führt rechts durch ein Tunnel unter die Gleise durch und dann über mehreren Ampeln (schräg über die vielspurige Straßenkreuzung) zum Hotel.

Es gibt eigentlich zum Zimmer nur gutes zu berichten: es war einigermaßen sauber u. zweckmäßig eingerichtet, vom Straßenlärm hab ich nichts mitbekommen (Fenster zu). Allerdings wird dieses \"Hotel\" fast nur von Arbeitern gebucht, dementsprechend hört u. sieht man es auch. Es ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und allein schon bis man \"im Hotel\" ist (eigentl. ein privates Hochhaus) weiß man schon wo man gelandet ist. Ich würde es für eine Nacht wieder buchen - aber auch nur wegen der günstigen Lage zur Ubahn, welche keine 3 Min. zu Fuß da ist

Alle sehr freundlich, alles sauber, Frühstück war gut und ausreichend, sehr gute Lage, ca 150m zur S-Bahn, Zimmer war für uns 3 etwas klein aber für ein paar Tage ausreichend Platz, Betten komfortabel
