Very family friendly. Excellent choice for our family of five with three children ages six, four and one. The family room was excellent with two separate sleeping areas. The hotel was Very well maintained with a lot of character and amenities. There is a small amount of parking on site that is very easy. The location was unbeatable during Christmas. Breakfast has a ton of options and is fantastic.

We stayed here to attend Oktoberfest and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The entire property was incredibly clean & secure, the staff was friendly & helpful, and the restaurant & bar on site was wonderful. Not to mention, it’s directly across the street from one of the entrances to Oktoberfest, which was incredibly convenient for us. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel for your stay in Munich.

I would really love to give this hotel a 5 star review, there is so much going for it. It’s modern, it’s clean, the rooms are spacious, it’s on a good location and the staff are super friendly however as a hotel that is marketed as family friends it is missing some key fundamental things. There are no fridges in the rooms, for any family with small children this is a must. There is no easy access to cold water without constantly asking or buying bottled water. The breakfast buffet doesn’t have any small children friendly foods, glasses, crockery or cutlery. The highchairs are the wooden style which are horrible and dangerous for babies (6months - 1year). The ‘toys’ available in the rooms were not age appropriate for my children, 7months and 3years. If you are going to claim to be family friendly you have to cover all the basics. I felt a little let down on the family friendly front.

Absolutely outstanding hotel! Stayed only 1 night with my family and kids absolutely adored their separate room part with many sustainable toys and colouring activities. Our room have a wonderful view to Bavaria park. Squeaky clean throughout. Breakfast had everything you could ask for - plenty of choice!

The room was awesome. The staff was amazing. The restaurant was delicious. The hotel was directly across the street from the Tollwood Christmas market. The U-Bahn (subway) was a two-minute walk from the hotel. You can get almost everywhere in the city in 30 minutes or less.
However, the room was swelteringly hot. The thermostat would run on cool, but not long enough to cool the room off. If you opened the window (which would only crack open a couple inches), the heat ran to keep the room up to temperature. Add that to pillows that shouldn’t legally be allowed to be called pillows, and you have the makings of a very rough visit. We stayed for three nights and none of my family slept through the night on any of them. I’ve been told that this is a German hotel thing, so I recommend bringing a fan or buying one when you get there.

The only and I do mean only downside was that it was about a 20 min walk from the train station. Otherwise super fun and very nice and friendly staff. Would I stay there again, absolutely and just factor in a few uber rides to the stay.

Everything was excellent, except breakfast. This is our second time we stayed at Augustin, and 1 year ago breakfast was exceptional, the variety of choice and quality. This time, it was very poor, and not very tasty, no oatmeal at all, no chocolate croissant, etc. We are hoping that our next time this will be improved. Thank you!

Finished to a high standard, this hotel is excellent for families. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lovley garden where you can eat breakfast or relax at the end of a busy day. It's located just outside the city centre, which means it is quit and peaceful but there is a metro station about 400m from the property that means you're only a couple of stops from the hustle and bustle of Munich. The hotel is right next door to the Transport Museum, which is well worth a visit.

There is a great breakfast selection and of course they serve the white sausage for breakfast. You can have lunch and dinner there as well. We had lunch there and was delicious. The old town center is 34 mins walking or you can take the train U5.

We love the location near Bavariapark and the fantastic Westend area. The breakfast is exceptional and was a great start to each day. I loved staying here, I liked that it was a bit outside of the city center but it’s 2 transit stops into the center of everything. It was beautiful with all the snow, the breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and I appreciated that the lights would turn off automatically in spaces where people weren’t walking. I definitely plan to stay here again when I return to Munich.

Picked this hotel randomly - good access to city centre and other places of interest. Modern, clean and completely appropriate for our family stay. Our room had 3 bunks and great storage cupboards. There was also 2 showers and one toilet. There were supermarkets close by to purchase provisions. The bar was enjoyed in the evening. Definitely recommend.

I booked a family room and it had 3 sets of bunk beds for my family of four. It was almost dormitory style. Very clean snd nice bathrooms-separate toilet room and two showers in the other room. Bare bones amenities, no hair dryer, TV, drinking glasses or chairs. The buffet breakfast was worth the extra money. Delicious and the croissants and marmalades wer delicious. A great place to stay.

I was looking forward to staying here after a 12 hour flight from Los Angeles. The hotel is modern, clean, architectural and stylish. Next to a park and a fabulous car museum. However a large, rowdy, noisy group of teenage students were allowed by management to run wild throughout the halls, slamming doors, screaming, and pounding on floors. We had two horrible sleepless nights here and the management did a poor job of addressing our concerns. We did enjoy the good breakfast buffet but we were so tired and irritated. Augustin Hotel must prioritize the comforts and quiet of guests to earn a high rating. After all you stay in a hotel to sleep and if you pay $150 or so a night you shouldn’t have to beg management to stop misbehaving and rude people from destroying the calm and peace of nighttime rest.

Christmastime in Munich
Our family traveled to Germany for Christmas. We met our daughter and took the bus to Munich where we met our son and husband at your wonderful hotel. The meals were very delicious, with the delicious breakfasts being a great way to start the day of walking. In the evenings, after walking for hours around Munich (Marienplatz, Nymphenburg Palace, etc) every day, we retired to your bar area for wonderful drinks to relax and talk about the day. We even played cards.
The front desk staff were very friendly as well as the cleaning staff and the service staff in the restaurant & bar. We especially loved the example of a VW bus in the lobby.
The rooms were top-notch and very comfortable.
When we are back in Munich, we will stay there again and hopefully visit the Augustiner brewery.

AC, beautiful property, big windows, cute balcony, beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a really great breakfast in the morning with on site parking. We had two adjoining rooms with a door between for our family of 5. It was perfect!

The hotel is of a special kind. Our room was big and clean with 3 bunk beds (6 beds in total), and it was perfect for my family of 5 for a short stay. It does not have a TV, but we did not need one either. It was close to the central train station and metro station. The staff was helpful ,professional and kind.

We booked a 4 nights stay in early December. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are large, clean, very comfortable beds and gigantic windows. The breakfast is simple but really nice. The coffee machine makes lovely coffees as well. The receptionists are super helpful. The train station is only 5min walk from there and you can get to other station if you are willing to walk a little bit more (10min). We mainly used electric scooters (good fun!) and you can always find some parked in front of the hotel. It's only a 15min ride to Marienplatz.

The hotel was very clean, hip and trendy. The beds were pretty comfortable. One smelled very bad of mildew though, but fortunately we had an extra bed to switch to. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The cost is €9 per adult and €4.50 for children 3-12. Under 3 is free. Parking at the hotel is available in the garage for €12/night. Overall it was a great experience and we would stay here again.

Our family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Munich at the Augustin Familienhotel. (Our children are 9 and twins age 7). The room had 3 comfortable and clean bunkbeds (with a staircase for safety rather than ladder), a huge window for natural light, 2 showers, 1 toilet, and a delightful cubby system for organizing luggage and belongings. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with filling options that satisfied everyone in our family, from the carnivores to the vegan. The VW van play area entertained our kids for quite a long time, and we enjoyed the large library of books. While this is called a \"youth and family hotel,\" it feels sophisticated for adults, yet welcoming for kids. A minor suggestion is to have a larger table in the room (e.g. for coloring and toys) and a minifridge. The location is great, with a museum, restaurants, shopping, and transit close by. We look forward to staying here again!
