The staff were super accommodating and nice. The rooms themselves were ridiculously hot and uncomfortable and the noise from the outside area into the room was unbearable. It was also hard to get taxis to get anywhere from that location.

Perfect hotel! We had read some reviews about the hotel that didn’t so good. There was a group of 8 for 3 nights all were happy with hotel, staff and service. I was concerned that our room was next to the railway but never heard it. The rooms were quiet, well appointed and very clean. In a great position, close to the railway station 3 minutes walk away, 15 minutes walk to the Oktoberfest and 30 minutes to the town. I would definitely stay here again.

Good value, well connected hotel

Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel is well connected to the city centre and airport. The staff were polite and breakfast had a good range of choice. There was an occasion where we wanted our bed linen changed so placed the sign on the pillow as instructed but it didn’t happen. We also would have preferred more coffee/tea in the room. This wasn’t always replaced when used and same for coffee mugs. We were given dirty ones on one occasion. Overall a pleasant stay.

The bed was hard as a rock! Every time you moved it made so much noise! We asked to switch but were told they were all the same. We put down a 2nd comforter to sleep on top of so our backs wouldn’t ache. Breakfast was not great. Fruit salad has slimy watermelon in it each day.

Good for a weekend away.

Came over to visit friends and sightsee for the weekend. Great location for trains, trams and buses. Breakfast had a great choice and the staff were friendly. Sadly the first night of 3 we had a room right over the railway tracks and although we said the aircon wasn't working they insisted it would be turned on centrally but nothing happened. We ended up with the window open all night with track maintenance going on until at least 3am under our window. We didn't have a good night. Day 2 they moved us, front of the building and working aircon. Much better! Bed/mattress was too hard for us though (both rooms), so it wasn't a great sleep over the weekend. We enjoyed ourselves all the same.

Buffet is useless for a Hilton literally nothing

All hotels in Munich is close to transportation. This is not special either.

Bed was so sqweaky every time I moved I would wake up. Whole room needs to be renovated the furniture is like pre 2010

Wouldn’t stay here find something else is my recommendation

Buffet Food was so bad it was all ham and random cheeses legit the fruit salad bowl had more water in it than fruit. The multi juice tasted like cordial would not stay here

Well situated and great value hotel

Situated a 5 min walk from Donnersbergerbrücke station via steps to the side of the hotel, so was very handy for frequent trains to the centre. Twin room was lovely as beds were small doubles, with tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer/safe. One big problem was a lack of heat - room was so cold despite ringing down twice & staff saying they'd \"reset\" it.....read similar in other reviews. On the 3rd request staff did offer us a heater and additional duvet which really helped. Wouldn't stay again though because of the cold room. Breakfast was excellent with cereal, cold meats, fruit, pastries, scrambled egg/bacon/sausage/beans and a waffle maker. Hotel was excellent value with lovely ladies on reception. Very handy as on the direct line to the airport via either S1 or S8 trains.

Good hotel, bad food.

Hotel fine but the food was terrible. Arrived stone cold. Sent it all back and asked for it to be taken off the bill. Only when asking for my final bill did I realise they hadn’t.
We were told that the food was cooked in the hotel next door, rather than on-site.
Decided to order Uber Eats instead which arrived quickly and piping hot. Struggling to understand why the hotel are unable to do the same.

Most of the staff were very nice and friendly. We were moved twice due to the showers overflowing into the bedroom and hall. Never were able to take a relaxing shower because we had to rush before it overflowed. The beds are hard. The breakfast was always great and the dining staff are helpful and pleasant. It needs a laundry room.

Our entire stay experience at the Hampton by Hilton Munich City West, was exceptional from the check-in time to the check-out, the personnel was helpful, professional and friendly, always asking if we where ok, and if we needed anything. The room was super quiet, finally a hotel were we slept, also big and clean room. Close to München HBF, as well as local city transportation. We definitely will return to this great hotel.

We are returning customers and were disappointed. Had to move room due to faulty toilet. Kettle was missing from room. Replacement kettle faulty too. Room was not cleaned and we had chase the matter up. Manger told us it was missed due to high volume of guests checking out!!! Our request for turning the air conditioning fan off had to be chased up. The worst thing was that there was a dead bird lying at the side of the main entrance. This was pointed out to reception staff but was still there the following day and so we had to pointed out again. Only then was it removed. We really did not expect this standard in the Hilton.

I have stayed at this Hampton twice - in 2022 and October of 2024. It's a great hotel with a wonderful breakfast buffet that's included with a lot of very tasty options. There's a tram stop just outside the hotel, and a commuter train station about a 3-minute walk away, so it's easy to get around from this hotel. Also, there's an Edeka grocery store across the street, a liquor store (Trink Gut) just outside the hotel (where you can also get soft drinks and snacks) and several restaurants down the street. I've stayed at Hamptons in Munich, Berlin and Düsseldorf, and I've been very happy with my stays. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when I'm in Munich.

The room is pretty small for 2 people but it’s very close to Oktoberfest. For the AC you will have to call the front desk to get it to work which is inconvenient. Would recommend getting a bigger room if you’re traveling with 2 guests.

Average budget hotel within easy access of the central station. Family room spacious however the double bed was so uncomfortable and very hard so difficult to sleep on. No noise which was amazing considering its proximity to a train station. Was fine for our stay in Munich as only stayed for 2 nights as at a music concert.

Great location. A few minutes walk from the S bahn station Donnerbergersbrucke which is about 45 minutes from the airport. There is also a tram stop just outside the hotel which goes to Marianplatz in the city centre. Breakfast was fine and the staff were very pleasant. Room was quite small but the bed was comfortable.

Be careful if you have booked several rooms and/or amended s booking before staying though - check in was quite chaotic for us, and we were overcharged which took quite a few emails to the hotel to resolve

A most pleasant stay in Hampton Inn Munich

Valentine was so helpful. I cannot thank him enough. He went over and beyond! Helen was also very nice. All the staff I just simply was not able to get their names were very nice and professional. To think that it was a weekend with the highest snowfall in more than a decade in Munich!

Excellent hotel. Is out of the hustle and bustle of Munich downtown. Wonderful access to transportation (MVG) direct to the Central Station in 10 minutes or less. Restaurants and Supermarkets really close by. I have stayed there before and love it. Only one downside, should have a mini fridge.

Whole room would get a severe smell of sewer gas. Bathroom fan was set to always on. Clearly they know about the issue and this is their fix. It would be so bad at points that you’d throw up. Pillows were about 6 years past their life, felt like they are putting cotton balls in them to keep them alive. I told the front desk of both of these issues, they just said ok and smiled. Clearly they don’t care about the customer. I mean even an “oh I’m so sorry your stay wasn’t pleasant.” It’s clearly living up to the Hampton Inn name.

We stayed for 2 nights for family of 3 including a child. Thought the rooms were a bit small and was told they only have 1 size room to our disappointment. The hotel is clean and well kept. Breakfast selection was good and food tastes bleh in European standards, but it's free. The entrance from car garage to the hotel was weird. I don't get why I can't use my hotel room card to enter, but I have to buzz in every time. Also, I need a special card from the reception to access self-laundry. These are some quirks that I didn't care for. Apart from that, it was a nice stay.

Worst hotel in Germany

It was probably the worst hotel I have been to in my life. To start with my aircon didn’t work and it took them 2 days just for someone to come and have a look. After someone had a look he left saying someone would call from reception. The phones must have been down as I never got a call and still no aircon during a heat wave of 30 degree days. but not only that the rooms shower head was broken and hanging at waist level and could not be set any higher. The same maintenance guy looked at it and said it could be fixed tomorrow. This was on the second day. Of course that never got fixed. My friend Cameron was very on edge at this point as he has some pretty bad conditions. And to add to the bathroom water was leaking into the laundry area from the bottom of the wall into one of our suitcases. And to top it off we got to wake up to some nice soggy bacon and breakfast that was lovely, not. The breakfast was also very average and left my borderline coughing my lungs up over the sink after breakfast most days. But apart from that the working told me everything would be taken care of which was nice to hear but when they just say that and nothing gets done is quite hurtful to my friend cameron. If he doesn’t make it the rest of our trip it’s because of this place. So thanks a lot

Unfortunately it was my worst trip and the hotel played big role with that. Heating wasn't working in the room and aircon was left on which i didn't notice in the beginning. Fell a sleep shortly after arriving my room and when i woke up i had terrible cold which ruined all my holiday. I left today and cold got even worse. When i spoke to them about heating , i was given a very small heater which is smaller than my hand and it wasn't heating the room at all. Breakfast was very good and staff were always trying to help but the tempreture in the room basically ruined it all. I asked them to come and check the room to see that heating was really poor which they did and i was told that it was same in all rooms.

Check in was okay, staff didnt seem very professional or helpful but it was quick. Staff for housekeeping and at the breakfast area were great however. Checkout was easy and quick. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious, it lacked a fridge which would have been nice.

Its close to a main s bahn station so getting in and out of the city or to the airport was extremely quick and easy.

In general it was a good experience
