Bad and sad and we booked the best room, namely, the Junior Suite. The room does not look like in the picture. It’s extremely small. There is no sofa. There is no bathtub. The appliances are limited. We asked to be moved and they moved us to a room which had a bathtub but was even smaller. And cherry on the top, there was no water (no hot nor cold water for 3 entire days of our staying. Even after the complaints were made they did not do anything to address the issue other than just wait until we left saying that the hotel is fully booked and they can’t deal with all the requests. The breakfast is at very basic and definitely not worth the price, so it’s better to just go to the nearby bakeries.
Unfortunately after the management change the quality and overall service of the Vienna House Hotel in Munich has gone down dramatically, to the point of making the entire stay uncomfortable.
It’s safe to say that after 2 years of visiting this hotel, this was the end of the road. We won’t be coming again.

When we arrived, the manager told us that the room we had booked (for 4 people) was no longer available but he offered two connected rooms at no extra cost. We definitely recommend this property for its excellent service provided by the manager.

There was nobody to greet us at the main desk for the first 10 minutes so I was unsure that I made the reservation correctly. We came all the way from Canada. Our room was for a wheelchair and had no shower door so it was odd. I did find the staff very friendly. The room was nice, and clean.

Theater themed decor is cute- there’s a small lobby & shop past the check in desk that has snacks, drinks etc. that has lots of items you need/ want. Like a microwave , a bottle opener, and beer! Lots of stuff around and easy to get to train. On a busier corner.

Loved the location of the hotel. Staff was kind and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. The only complaint I have is maybe to provide better pillows with more support. Also the additional cot wasn’t the most comfortable for 5 nights. Would definitely return.

The Hotel Manager was extremely gracious and upgraded my room at no cost and allowed an early check in for a small fee. I was absolutely exhausted and was extremely grateful for the gesture. My stay was comfortable, near plenty of transportation options and I had great food in the neighborhood and in the city. I had a breakfast plan but didn't use it as I preferred the coffee and pastry at a nearby cafe. However, people seemed pleased with it. I strongly recommend Vienna House. Lovely facility, staff and neighborhood. 5 stars all the way!

Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Munich is a very charming hotel. The staff was very friendly, and the break option was excellent. We are a family of four and stayed at a junior suite. Whenever I come to Munich I stay at this hotel close to the Rotkreuzplatz.
Rooms are clean, airy and bright and have excellent sound proofing.
room service is excellent and the big breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant leaves nothing to be desired .
All the people in service and at the reception are kind and helpful.
This is an inexpensive option for a short or long-term stay in Munich.

The trip overall was very positive. They only hang up was they would not let us sleep two people in one bed. So instead of couples sharing a bed they charged us for an extra cot at check in. Besides that it was an excellent trip and great place to stay

I accidentally did not plan my prior hotel stay long enough and was still one day shy before my departure so I had to pick a hotel quickly. This was a quick and convenient pick. I called the night before and they mention that I wouldn’t be able to check in until 3 PM but I could leave my luggage there. When I checked in at 12 PM my room is ready. I thought that was awesome. It was clean for the most part and the bed was comfortable and the location was not that far from a metro stop.

They don’t seem to vacuum every day and my most bothersome part was they don’t fill the liquid soap regularly. I stayed 4 days and not once was it filled. Also when we went to eat breakfast the person chraging made me sign for Bill before we ate anything and me feel like I was going to run out and not pay even after I had already provided my room number. The breakfast was way overpriced and a poor selection

Hotel was really nice, staff was friendly, both the room and bedroom had plenty of space to place our stuff. In terms of location, it was about a 9 minute walk to get to the light rail and a few stops down to the Nymphenburg Palace and the central Marienplatz area.Overall I am pleased with our stay; the only complaint I have is that our door card scanner battery died and they opened the door manually however this left the room open to anyone who wanted to enter which left our stuff vulnerable to theft. We told them a total of three times that it still hadn't been fixed and they failed to fix it during our stay. Wi-Fi was good but kept making us log back in instead of staying logged in.

We were visiting Munich for a weekend break. We chose this hotel as we wanted to visit our friends who live in the neighbourhood during the stay. On previous visits to Munich we stayed in the city centre.
Arcona Living is a very modern hotel. It has a modern bistro area and a cosy living room on the ground floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It is about midway between two U-Bahn stops (5mins walk) that are a short journey from the Hauptbahnhof so there is no problem getting there without a car.

A bit pricey, but an excellent Munich location with a decent restaurant and wine bar. The U-bahn station is about a block away. Some of the best restaurants in Munich are nearby. Try to get room 114 or 115 or the rooms above them.

All staff members were very friendly and didn't mind helping us on how to use the public transportation system. They also recommended food places in the area. We came into the hotel 5 hours before check in time and they allowed us to store our luggage while we go out for the day and check in whenever we get back. I booked the junior suite which I was really impressed with. Everything about the place was really clean: bathroom, kitchen area, sleeping area. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets felt clean also. I've experience a lot of hotels where the sheets felt unclean and uncomfortable. I like how this hotel is away from city center because you really get to experience the German vibe and culture instead of being somewhere heavily populated with tourists. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel!

Good hotel, but no personality. Apparently on the same site and building as an old cinema, but nothing is left of the charm of old days. It would have been a fully nice stay if not for the rude behavior of the desk clerk. When leaving, we enquired of the possibility of leaving our small luggage with the hotel until early afternoon. It is not so much that we were denied on reason that the hotel did not have room for luggage (very strange, particularly for a 4 star hotel), but rather the manner we were treated. Even absent this, we would not return, as hotel lacks charm and is maximized for business.

Terrible hotel and service

Horrible experience at this hotel! We arrived after a flight from Spain and it was after 7pm. We were tired and hungry, and were looking forward to checking in, taking a shower and find dinner. To our shock, we were informed (rudely) by the reception that our booking HAS NOT been registered by the hotel (we had already pre-paid the full amount during booking. When we tried to ask for more information, the reception brushed us off by saying the hotel was fully booked for the night and they had taken the liberty of booking another SIMILAR hotel for us. The other hotel is not similar and is undergoing construction. We had no choice but to stay for 1 night.
What irritated us was the unfriendly and rude attitude from arcona hotel staff.

You would be hard pushed to find a better hotel

I chose this hotel for a weekend away because it had more character than other premium hotels in the city. You can stop in a Hilton or Ramada anywhere in the world and get the same luxury yet magnolia experience. This hotel was full of character and out room, one of the junior suites, was no exception. The bathroom was larger that many hotel rooms I have stayed in, the room was incredibly well layed out to make the most of the generous size and the kitchen (I won't call it a kitchenette, it was far better than that) had everything needed for preparing your own meal should you wish, I would say perfect for a light breakfast, however the arcona provided one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever eaten. The variety of food was certainly beyond anything else I have seen and the quality was close to the best I have had. If I had to pick a fault with the hotel I would say the gym was not very well equipped, the sauna was however incredible.

Suspected theft at the hotel. Rude and Terrible!

My friend and I stayed at Arcona Living. The receptionist asked for my credit card upon my arrival as a deposit. I handed it over to her as I knew it’s a common practice for hotels in case I order room service and the bill can be charged to the card. She photocopied my credit card and asked me to fill in a form.During my entire travel, I hadn’t used my credit card elsewhere. After a week later, my credit card info was compromised and stolen info was used for buying. I hadn't even taken my card out before arrival or after checking out at the hotel. Only this hotel was able to get hold of my private information during this period. In an email, I said I wasn’t accusing of the hotel staff stealing my private information for illegal use because I don’t have any actual evidence. I am suspecting it. This was a very serious crime if it indeed happened at the hotel.
I asked the hotel to escalate it for an investigation. Not only did I get questioned with my motive, but also badly treated. If this thief as a matter of fact works at this hotel, actions must be taken to ensure customer's privacy. I also deserve an explanation. Their front office manager's response was unprofessional and rude. They showed no intention to help me at all (even though I was their customer). The exactly wording is 'did not happen, cannot help you, don't want to step in this matter' The most terrible customer service ever. They weren't even showing one bit of care as a merchant to their customers.

We had a good experience at the hotel until after we checked out, we know we left our mobile phone on the tissue box inside the bathroom accidently and didn't realise until we were on the train traveling to Salzburg, when we contacted the hotel by email they replied that the cleaners never found the phone. I am not calling the management liers but we know where it was left so the thought of dishonest staff is not very comforting.

Modern hotel in Munich

I stayed in Arcona for 5 weeks in the Junior Suite - it had a kitchennete, a huge bathroom, and a nice bed. It was very comfortable, and always clean- the bed even has this cool glowing backlight! I would definitely stay again, and it was close to the Ubahn (about a 6 minute walk) so that made the city very accessible. I never ate at the restaurant which was a bit on the pricey side.

I really like the look and feel of this hotel. It was very well appointed with good bathroom and comfortable bed. I used the restaurant twice during my stay, and although the food was good, the range of dishes on the menu was limited. Slightly disappointed with the location as it was far from the centre of the city, but this was only a minor point in an otherwise enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed the neighbourhood where this hotel is located and it was only 3 underground stops to the main train station, so it was easy to get anywhere. Our room was quite a small space for the price, however, we were there over Oktoberfest, so hotels were at a premium and were all priced above their usual rates. There were no english translations for the air conditioning system, so this hampered our room comfort, as it was hard to operate a system that you couldn't read!

The restaurant personnel were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and supportive. The food was ok, but expensive. The breakfast buffet was not worth the 19 euros and a burger with fries and a glass of wine was 25 euros (without tip). The room was advertised as including water, but when I asked about it the front desk said they only provided a welcoming bottle of water and to buy water was 4.5 to 5 euros per bottle. Fresh toiletries were not provided daily. Actually had to go to the cart a couple of days to get some shampoo, conditioner, & wash cloth. Front desk personnel were mostly friendly but didn't speak English well, so didn't always understand what I needed, to include not having the bill ready before the taxi took us back to the airport in the morning.

I enjoy going to Munich, this year, I decided to stay at the Arcona Living Munchen. Glad I did. Very nice hotel, easy to get to, close to the U-bohn, plenty of shops and restaurants with in close walking distance. I had a nice corner room, with lots of windows. There is a hospital near by, even being in the back, off the main street, the sound of sirens was constant.

The stay was excellent, my only negative comment would be the hotel breakfast. We found the breakfast staff to be very unhelpful. There were no clean tables to sit down at, we had to go hunting for glasses and cutlery and the staff were nowhere to be found. We would definitely stay again, just not pay €19 for the breakfast!

Modern and very functional at a good price

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 2 years and have always found it to be a good experience. The staff are efficient without being fussy, the rooms are clean and tasteful, and the breakfast/dining is high quality. All at a good price. The location has plenty of shopping nearby and is easy to get to and from the airport and the city, being a little to the north-west of the city center.

Nice hotel with a very city feel

We really didn't have much time in the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Decorated nicely. I would like to have had a little more personal touch from the front desk. They seemed a bit distant and cold when we arrived. Perhaps it was just the language barrier. Other than that, no complaints.

Very good quality hotel.

Very good hotel, very close to main transport possibilities, with a gym and really nice rooms, the one we used with a very practical kitchen.

Nice hotel but ....

Nice hotel but there'er no services around and the location is kind of far from the intertainment area. Also the hotel doesn't have frig and the laundry room is out of service.

Good location

Great location within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants - felt like a local not a tourist. Easy walk to the U Bahn for connections to the airport and city centre. Would definitely stay there again.

chic & friendly

Modern, contemporary hotel with decent size rooms. Our room in 3rd floor had great view and was bright and airy. Staff were friendly. There's a small gym with new equipment and also a sauna but we never got to use the latter. There are also cafes and restaurants a short walk away. We never had breakfast in the hotel as it's an eye watering €19!

Not Bad

Fun room to hang out in. Good air conditioning with life saving laundry room. So - so location. Nice city street view. Excellent food at restaurant but less than average service. Shower in room not a problem.
