Dimitri welcomed us with a warm smile and he was there to wave us off this morning.
Very clean room with a balcony, coffee machine and mini bar.
The hotel is a short walk from Donnersbergerbrucke train station.
Augustiner-Keller was approximately a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the city centre was also within walking distance to all the main attractions.
I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

I mean the price for a single that included breakfast buffet could not be beat. Yes it was further outside the city cetner than I would have liked and yes public transportation was close but not right outside the door, yes it was a little beat up (lift rug needs replaced, little bleach stain on room carpet, dinged up door -- but did I mention the great price? Front desk staff is friendly but breakfast crew is a little non-personality. Please play some music in the room for breakfast because the silence is deadly. Nice breakfast buffet, and the updates to the bathroom and cabinetry is very nice. Please replace the hotel room doors. They are made of paper and the halls echo so it gets really loud when sound carries. My bed was kind of weird because as you can see in the photo it had a very limited headboard and the nightstand was a far reach. A little odd but I survived for the price. Coffee maker, electric kettle and teabags, cooling refriig but only space really for the hotel mini bar stuff.

Hotel was quaint, front desk staff was lovely. We booked a XL room for 4 adults. This was a regular room with two cots jammed in the room. Web description was deceiving. I do not recommend this room if only traveling with adults, more suitable for a family with small children. We also overpaid for this option, two standard rooms would have been cheaper.

Good location. Greeted nicely by the man at desk. Good WiFi. Shower a bit tight but good water pressure. Construction across street impacted access to hotel slightly. We stayed nine days. Quite affordable in my opinion. The only thing I did not like was the pillows. They were very thin.

Just have to pay attention to whether you book a room with Aircon. When it’s 35°C and you have no Aircon it really sucks. The construction is outside, which is noisy. The staff were at least helpful and the cleaner for our room was very helpful.

The balcony was a nice feature. It was a quiet place to enjoy morning coffee. The hair dryer was tiny but powerful. The staff was friendly. Hotel conveniently near a ReWe grocery store. Tried to take a bath and the water pressure was so low the tub would not fill. There was construction in front of the hotel that made it tricky when driving but wasn’t a big hassle or noisy overall.

Rooms don’t have a bath/shower comboination!

We are currently travelling and my dad wanted me to book a room that had a bath in. After searching for a while I found this hotel which looked affordable and comfortable and the description said the rooms had a bath/shower combination so we booked it. On arrival once we checked in we realised the rooms didn’t have a bath so we question the reception and was told that yes, technically that is a bath/shower combination so we weren’t happy as I don’t know how you can have a bath in the attached photo? Also the hotel advertises a quiet relaxed stay but be warned there’s lots of building works going on in the area. It’s advertised a 4pm check in and 11am check out but if you contact them in advance this can be changed depending on availability.

The only negative was there was a pair of socks on the floor between the beds. Which made me think the floor hadn’t been cleaned. There were 4 of us and the quadruple room was a bit small. We were there to see Adele so we weren’t in the hotel
much.

We didn’t realize the room didn’t have air conditioning. Apparently this was the case for the first floor. It was hard to sleep and be comfortable in the room. We tried to keep windows open but it was loud from traffic and people outside.

This is a great place to stay. Hotel and rooms were clean. Pictures are accurate. It is very clean and close to public transportation, so if you are interested in going to say, Old Town, it is a very convenient location.

It is very good value. It is also located in a \"residential\" area so it is very quiet.


Something for your consideration:
- I was staying in the corner room on the 1st floor, so wifi is VERY weak. Constant disconnect with both laptop and cell phone; cannot hold a video conversation (voice-only is fine on a cell phone)

- during my stay, Munich was very hot in the daytime (35C ). There is NO AC in the room, but the staff did provide a fan. Given the night temperature is around 20C, it is quite acceptable/comfortable at night.

- Unfortunately for me, my room is next to the parking lot. Given the temperature, I had to keep the windows open, so privacy/noise level was degraded when, for example, guests are leaving with children in the morning.

If your room is not at the ground level and not at the corner, your experience may differ from that of mine. All in all, I would give it the benefit of the doubt that my stay would have been more positive.

The staff are rude and unhelpful and though I explained and showed them countless times about the VIP parking benefit, the first night there was no room so we paid for street parking and they tried to charge me for the subsequent nights and claimed they never heard of this benefit. After 15 mins finally the manager relented but I could hear them taking about me as I left. The parking attendant was very rude to my husband. Never have I felt so unwelcome in a hotel. The area is lovely and the room was fine but the staff made it the most unpleasant.

This property refused to refund my 10 night stay. My trip was canceled due to the worldwide pandemic of COVID 19. This hotel refused my several attempts to either cancel with a refund or allow a credit for a later booking. They eventually stoped retiring any calls or emails. They are in the business of taking people’s hard earned money which they may have saved for years to take a European vacation. I would never recommend anyone to give this hotel their business or money. I also blame Travelocity for supporting a business that chooses to use a pandemic for their gain. Shame on all parties involved.

This is our favorite go-to hotel for Oktoberfest. It's a quick 20 minute walk to the wiesn and it's safe and clean and just.....nice. Their breakfasts are some of my favorite in Germany and everyone in the whole hotel is very nice. They even let me practice my (admittedly terrible) German even though it wasn't necessary. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone and next time we come back for Oktoberfest we will be staying here again!

This is a great hotel for couples, for a family of four it was tight (although it is possible that we might not have been given the room type we expected/booked).

The double bed was excellent, the other two beds were a rollaway bed and a converted seat. They only just fitted into the room.

The room, with no heating switched on, was very warm. You can open a window but it swings into the room, leaving a big opening (not great if you have small children).

The refrigerator in the room was a minibar, so not really useable for personal drinks or food.

The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, about 10 minutes walk to the tram or train and 45 minutes walk to Marienplatz. A very good supermarket is 2 minutes walk.

We liked the hotel overall, but our quadruple room which was supposed to have a double bed and two twins was actually a double and a very uncomfortable futon draped in a sheet. Additionally, I did not like that my credit card number was handwritten on a piece of paper at check in for incidentals. It was clean, however.

The wide-angle lens photo makes the room appear much bigger than it is and I would not suggest booking it for four adults, two at the most. We felt cramped in the room. Bathroom was modern except the shower is typical European - very small. The second bed was really just a pulled-out futon.

My two days in Munich..

Finding the hotel was a little difficult. It is in a residential area. It was a hot day and there was one fan that besides it was dirty it didn’t provide much help. I asked the receptionist for another room and she said that only the superior rooms had AC. Obviously they were more expensive. Our room was very tiny. We had to sleep with the window and the door open to get some air. Early in the morning we could hear the noise of people and vehicles passing by. We couldn’t sleep very well that night. The following day they provided us with another fan. That made it a little better.
