Perfectly located for Munich main station transport links. Staff in all areas were welcoming and professional. Spa area and pool are an added bonus for relaxing.
Le Delice Brasserie is well worth a visit.
Nespresso Machines and B&O Bluetooth speaker in the rooms add to the quality of your stay.

The hotel and service were impeccable. The Concierge/Doormen were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room decor was not exactly my taste, it felt a bit tacky - not sure if it was a connection to the buildings history or a nod to the neighbourhood but without explanation it felt a bit cheap.

The hotel is luxury, amazing, huge. The service is great. Starting from front office to housekeeping. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming. Hotel is clean, new, room is spacious, has all the amenities you need. Food is great. Amazing SPA. Loved it, and the pool is beyond great. Gym has all you need for functional training.
Hotel is located near railway station, walking distance to Marienplatz, perfect.
Highly recommended.

We recently stayed there for five nights while visiting Munich with my wife. It’s a beautiful hotel, and no matter the time of year, don’t forget to bring your swimsuit so you can enjoy the wonderful spa. The location is excellent—within walking distance of Marienplatz and all the main attractions.

This would have been 3 stars or less had it not been for the amenities and staff kindness. The check in was supposed to be prioritized when we arrived early, but they could not accommodate an early room. However when we arrived again at the normal check in time, the room still was not ready and we waited an additional hour before it was ready which was difficult because have two young children and had to entertain them in the bar area since it was too cold to play outside. But they gave complimentary drinks and the room was fantastic when it became ready. Turndown service and the quality/cleanliness were top notch.

Excellent stay in Munich Sofitel, staff at reception were friendly and efficient and breakfast had a good variety. Best part is the fact that it's literally beside the Munich Central train station. Room was very good sand had everything we needed. Somewhat luxury, although there's no turn down service at night. TV channels - had English news and NHK which was great as that meant we weren't stuck with just German programmes. Didn't use the pool or spa because it was filled with families and screaming kids which put us off, but it wasn't our main objective to use the spa facilities at Sofitel anyway. Have to minus off a star because the body lotion wasn't replenished and was empty. For a 5 star hotel you wouldn't expect this kind of slip up.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön. Das Frühstück ebenfalls zu unser Zufriedenheit und das Personal sehr bemüht. Das große Problem ist das Housekeeping. Als wir um 15:30 Uhr einchecken wollten, musste an der Rezeption langwierig hin und her gebucht werden, da unser ursprüngliches Zimmer noch nicht sauber war. Am Tag darauf haben wir an der Rezeption eine starke Verschmutzung im Bad reklamiert. Es sah aus, als hätte jemand Zahnpasta an die wand gespuckt. Unsere Reklamationen wurden angenommen. Es gab gratis Drinks und Frühstück. Geputzt war die Verschmutzung im Bad bis zu unserer Abreise leider nicht. Nichts desto trotz haben wir uns wohl gefühlt, verlassen das Haus aber mit gemischten Gefühlen.

Wir haben im Sofitel München übernachtet und das Hotel hat grundsätzlich eine gute Basis, aber der Service hat unseren Aufenthalt leider deutlich beeinträchtigt.

Beim Check-in mussten wir rund 15–20 Minuten warten, und auch danach war es bei jedem Anliegen wieder dasselbe: Weil Zimmerservice und Reinigung telefonisch nicht erreichbar waren bzw. niemand abnahm, blieb einem nichts anderes übrig, als erneut an der Rezeption anzustehen und wieder zu warten. Ein Concierge-Service war für uns praktisch nicht vorhanden. Zusätzlich hat im Zimmer Duschschaum/Duschgel gefehlt.

Insgesamt entsteht der Eindruck eines spürbaren Personalmangels, den man als Gast leider direkt zu fühlen bekommt. Schade, denn mit besserer Erreichbarkeit und ausreichend Personal könnte das Erlebnis deutlich hochwertiger sein.

The room that was assigned to us had issues. Safe wouldn't lock, key for the room had an issue, and the sink drain was an issue. The staff moved us to a different room after two nights. The second room was much better. Thomas was very helpful. When we moved into the second room, my wife realized she left her toothbrush. We called the front desk for a toothbrush, and it took 45 minutes to get a toothbrush! At one point, someone knocked on the door with water! Second room was clean and much better.

As always as I mentioned, the Frontdesk did a great job and always said hello to us when passing by. The room is very good except for the bathroom shower, which is very slippery due to the openness of the shower stall which splashes water everywhere. Other than that, the hotel is very nice and the staff is spectacular.

Front desk were all very friendly and helpful for us as we checked in and helped with any issues. Hotel lobby and lounge area were very well kept and beautiful. We did enjoy breakfast at the hotel bar and appreciated the water and coffee while either heading out or arriving back to the hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel, which is perfectly tailored for families. The excellent buffet breakfast offered a delightful start to our days, and the warm, welcoming staff truly made us feel at home. One of the standout features for us was the spa that accommodates children—it's rare to find such a luxury in high-end hotels, and we greatly appreciated it! Our king bed was incredibly spacious and comfortable, ensuring restful nights. We were also impressed by the quality toiletries provided, including thoughtful separate options for our child.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the central train station, with many amenities just a few minutes' walk away. While we did notice quite a few rough sleepers in the immediate area due to the proximity to the station, we felt safe throughout our stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Beautiful, modern hotel near Munich train station.

Generally, this was an excellent hotel for our 2-night stay in Munich. The location is conveniently adjacent to the train station, though it is also a short walk to the historic city center. The room was comfortable and clean. The cake and coffee special in the lobby bar was delightful! Two issues - due to a miscommunication between the front desk and concierge, it took over an hour to have our luggage delivered to our room. Ultimately, I had to return to the lobby to inquire about the status of our luggage and then had to identify it in their storage room. Second, the pool in the spa is open to children until 7pm, which means tiny humans enjoy the pool as if it were the main pool for the hotel (think goggles, splashing, running, shrieking, etc.). It's not a relaxing hotel spa pool environment before 7pm. Also, it is not clear if the saunas/steam room/showers are textile optional or textiles required. With small children running around, I was more comfortable in a swimsuit. However, the spa staff member approached me to let me know that swimsuits were NOT allowed in the sauna/steam/showers area (explaining to me that I could cover up with a towel if I preferred), which was concerning for several reasons (why not let guests do what makes them feel comfortable?). We did not return to the spa on our second night, so it might have been staff-specific in that moment.

Despite having written confirmation of our requirements, we found ourselves compromised. The hotel is not in a great location and the service was pretty poor. The quality of the bedding which is usually a differentiator for Sofitel was not up to standard and we had two terrible nights sleep. Overall a poor experience especially for the price point.
