Great AC!

The rooms were very clean. Small, but perfect if you’re not spending much time in the room. Staff was super friendly, and the best part was that it was unseasonably hot in Munich while we were there but the rooms had amazing AC units. Without it, we would have been so uncomfortable. I’d definitely stay here again, also super close to the Oktoberfest grounds for those traveling for this event!

Only 2 blocks from main train station in Munich. This is a very nice hotel, rooms were air conditioned, clean and roomy. Breakfast was very good and had a roof top patio that was clean quiet and safe. I really like this hotel chain and will be my main choice for wherever they have hotels.

It is an okay location. Lacking amenities and creature comforts. I would not go again. A motel 6 at least has a refrigerator and coffee/tea. This hotel had none of those. Glad we only stayed one night.

Super friendly, great value, centrally located and efficient place. The receptionist was super helpful, the checkin and checkout process is really easy. Everything was clean and the sound isolation in the room was great. A complimentary carton of table water is a nice touch! Would definitely stay here again.

This property has a perfect location directly across the street from the train station. The room was large and very quiet despite being above a busy street. There are a couple of very good restaurants beneath the hotel and the Marianplatz with a huge selection of restaurants is a couple of subway stops away. I would book a room here again no question. Very well-run hotel.

Absolutely terrible attitude from the man on desk

Absolutely awful. From the lack of welcome to the attitude of the man on the front desk! Ask if we could have a fan as the rooms where to hot and was told he couldn’t take the sun out the sky! We have the hotel booked for two nights and didn’t even stay one we walked and booked somewhere else but still had to pay for the two nights. Even making us pay for a nights parking. We contacted hotels.com and the man on the desk was even nasty to them. We where grateful for the help from hotels.com with a voucher towards another hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The street it’s on also is terrible. Just the service from the staff member is shocking and put a downer on my time in Munich. Avoid!

Room was 'tired' with marks on the walls and carpet.
My room opened directly onto an uncarpeted stairwell, where the sound echoed making it noisy.
Housekeeping opened and left open the room window every day - when it's -2 outside this means the room was very cold when I got back after a a long day.
On the positive, the bed was comfy (although it would have been nice to have a duvet that fit the bed) and the bathroom clean.
The hotel is a short walk to Theresienwiese U-bahn, or a 10 minute walk to Hauptbahnhof, so a good location.

To be a VIP hotel I was a little disappointed. The room was supposed to have an upgrade but it looked the same as the room I reserved, and to get the vip benefits offered by Expedia by email before my arrival I had to strongly complain with the staff.
The location of the hotel is very convenient, close to the Hauptbahnhof

Cannot beat the location if you’re going to Oktoberfest. Literally a 3 minute walk to the fairground. The shower is modern. Front desk was very pleasant. However, the bed was sub par. It was flimsy and worst than my college dormitory bed. I was unable to get any sleep. Tossed and turned to find the ideal position to sleep. Finally fell asleep at 5-6am in the morning and had to get up at 8am for city tours.

The walls to the hallway were VERY thin. You could hear every person walking down the hall, going to the elevator of just generally making noise. The ceilings have huge water stains on them.
The rooms are nice and clean and the staff was helpful.

Hotel in the middle of a city street which was a bit grubby and out of the way. Room quite small, shower door leaked and tiles needed replaced.

The hotel is only 10 minutes walk to the hauptbanhof and less than 25 to the city centre. The local area is 'interesting' but we had no concerns day or night. Inside the hotel, the rooms were clean and staff were excellent at all times, breakfast was also very enjoyable at a reasonable price. Overall, I could not fault the hotel during a very enjoyable stay in Munich.

Munich. The neighbourhood is interesting.
The garage however is a bit of a challenge as It is small and it appears cars can
be double stacked. On our second night we found street parking.

Read the details of this hotel before booking

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. This hotel does not have air conditioner (which is already mentioned) so we had to ask the front for a fan. It was very nice of them to offer us theirs but we had to take it and bring it back which isn’t quite usual at other hotels. The room was little small and had no fridge. The area is very quiet but is close to the square/market/central station/subway station. In the early morning, 8am, of the day we left, someone knocked very quietly at our door so we werent sure if it was ours. And as we were discussing someone just opened the door so I had to scream that we were there.. so for us - this place is 5.5/10.

Moreover, the breakfast buffet had a variety of dishes that included: hot and cold meats; cheeses; breads; coffees; juices and condiments. So the location is great, there's a U line right by it and it's within a walking distance to the main areas of the city. The main downfall was - there's a construction site right by it, and at around 7a.m they start working and it gets really noisy, so of you are planning on sleeping in and you can't do noise - not recommended. Asode from that the stuff is really nice but the English skills are not incredible, although some did have great skills and one even spoke my language.
In terms of cleaning it was super clean and nice and the room itself was great for my needs.

This is a no frills hotel. Superior room very basic! Had a free minibar in my room rate which I had to go to reception and request it be replenished. Staff are really helpful. First night there was a problem with the shower and we were moved to another room without hesitation and given a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. Nice touch. Location is good. One stop on the ubahn from central station. Area is quiet at night. Few bars and restaurant in the area too.

The room was good value and in easy walking distance of the Rail station. Even with snow and pulling luggage. The lobby and staff are great, the room and bed was comfortable. The room itself could use a fresh coat of paint as it was badly chipped and damaged in places and the carpet was stained and looked very dirty even if it wasn't. Nice to have a kitchenette type setup in the room but no coffee machine which was a big disappointment. The dirty glass I left was not replaced nor was the free water. Otherwise no problems - the basic use of the room was for sleeping only after long day trip excursions and that was fine. Breakfast available for 12 Euros although the rail station also has food options. There were no nearby breakfast restaurants except the station. Did not have dinner in the vicinity either.

Lovely friendly staff, hotel in great location. Very basic hotel (no bar, but drinks available to purchase to take to your room) but it fit the bill for our trip perfectly.

We booked a twin business room as we wanted single separate beds....this can be a challenge to get when booking rooms in Germany and even with this room we had to move furniture about so that beds were truly separated ie not so close together you might as well be in a double bed.

Room small but clean and fine if you don't plan on spending time in it other than to sleep. Great shower, basic handwash/shower gel provided.. Easy walk from hauptbahnhof and around the corner from theresienwiese u-bahn station so easy links across the city for sightseeing.

Perfect for winter markets, including a very large one practically on the doorstep (Tollwood winter market). No fridge in room so that would be the only reason why I wouldn't book this hotel in summer as I think a small fridge in the room is very valuable when on summer holiday.

If travellingto Munich again, I would certainly consider booking this hotel for a few nights and would happily recommend it.

Good Oktoberfest location - needs improvements.

We booked this hotel due to its proximity to Oktoberfest. The location did not disappoint, even though the hotel is located in \"not the best of touristy\" areas, it was only a five minute walk to the festival. Also, around the corner you can find local nightlife and some shopping. The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the central train station and about twenty minutes to all the sights. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. However, our room was located on the fifth floor, right next to where breakfast is held. I had mentioned when checking in that I was looking forward to sleeping in the next day, yet we were placed on the noisiest floor. Starting at around 6am staff is setting up, slamming dishes, speaking loudly and not too long after that, guests begin to arrive for breakfast. They are also very loud which made it almost impossible to sleep. I believe by shutting the breakfast room door, most of this noise could have been avoided. The rooms were very small (especially for the price!), the beds were a bit too hard and pillows flat, and there is minimal privacy in the bathroom. The door has 2-inch gaps on each side which others can easily see in. This place would be good for the solo traveler or couples who are super comfortable with one another. Overall, the location to Oktoberfest was great. I would not stay here to just visit Munich, only for the festival.

Not worth the close location to Oktoberfest

The location is great if you’re going for Oktoberfest, but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room was so small my husband and I were constantly bumping into eachother and tripping over our luggage the entire time. Also, the bathroom door isn’t necessarily a door so you could hear everything, and I mean everything, the person in the bathroom was doing. What was the worse besides this was the cleanliness of the room. There were marks on the walls, stains on the carpet, and we found a redbull can and used qtips under the bed from the previous people so I suspect the room wasn’t cleaned well at all prior to our arrival. Checking in also took close to an hour to complete, which I’ve never experienced before. Even though the staff was helpful and nice, parking was close, and the location was great for Oktoberfest, I will be staying at another hotel when I return for Oktoberfest. I’ve nwvwe felt more uncomfortable in a hotel room before and I’ve never been more excited to check out of a hotel before. I’m not trying to be negative, but I’ve never felt like I needed to leave a comment about anywhere before and I feel like my stay here made me want to.

Computer error changed our hotel

A computer error had apparently changed our booking to their sister hotel, further out of the city centre. It wasn't a huge problem, but it would have been better if we'd been notified before we got to the original hotel (though they paid for a taxi to the other one). It was an inconvenience we could have done without, and needed to spend extra for the U-bahn and Uber, rather than just being to walk to and from where we wanted to be.

The room at the sister hotel was fine, but they really need air con in the rooms.

Hotel was clean & friendly, although the rooms were VERY warm (its was hot outside AirCon wasn't the best so bring your own fan) we had a room with 3 single beds so not much room, The room did have a kitchenette which was very handy, Staff were friendly, parking was in a secure underground car park, each car is parked on a ramp so best to unload before you park up, we paid about £25 for 4 nights parking which was worth it as the area isn't the best but location wise its about a 10 minute walk to the main train station & plenty of supermarkets in the area. There was a building site next to the hotel which we were not aware of until we arrived & it was quite noisy at night if you left the window open - overall good hotel for visiting Munich

We requested a room for 3 people. The Expedia description stated that the room would have a day bed. I contacted the hotel prior to arrival and found that there wasn't a day bed. They did add a bed to the room, which didn't leave much space, but we coped. There is not air conditioning, but the nights were cool and there was a floor fan that helped circulate the air. The location is great—a half block from a train stop, which made getting around in Munich a breeze.

very accommodating staff, excellent buffet breakfast, within walking distance from the train station on a nice day, it is within a couple of blocks of two very good local restaurants with excellent weiner schnitzel and draft Bavarian beer. St. Paul's cathedral is at the end of the block, so you get to hear its church bells. Ask for an interior courtyard room if street noise bothers you. Only one person at desk, about 35 checking in (large group one by one)... older building neither A/C nor venting nor cross ventilation... couldn’t get taxis when needed...

Great downtown hotel excellent staff and good room

Love Munich this hotel makes it so easy to explore. Literally 20 metres to the U Bahn and into downtown.
