Hotel location was close to everything, especially shopping at Marienplatz. The room was renovated and nice. Lobby bar was great and upscale. Staff was friendly and helpful!

We had a wonderful stay at Germania Boutique Hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, and it was such a relief that everyone spoke excellent English. They made check-out easy and took the time to clearly explain where to park, which was a huge help since we had a car.
Breakfast was absolutely incredible far more than we expected and the beds were very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The hotel has a great vibe: warm, stylish, and inviting. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The hotels was fabulous. Renovated, very clean, staff was friendly. I recommend the hotel and it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to the square where many shops, restaurants, and cafes are. Plenty to explore on foot. The first area surrounding the hotel was not great, but I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying there just plan to walk 5-10 minutes to the town square area

I booked a Standard Twin Room at Hotel Boutique Germania through Expedia based on the photos shown online. The advertised images highlight a bright, stylish boutique room with clean décor, wall art, modern lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the actual room I received was very different.

The space was dark, outdated, and basic, with worn carpet, minimal décor, and no resemblance to the images used in the listing. The beds, furniture, and lighting setup were not consistent with what was advertised. The difference between the online presentation and the actual room is significant enough to be considered misleading.

When I raised the issue with staff, they were unable to assist and told me only the manager could handle it — but the manager was not available. There was no solution or support offered during my stay.

For one night it was manageable, but the overall experience was disappointing and not what I booked or expected. This property should ensure their online listings reflect the reality of the rooms so guests can make an informed choice.

Know: this hotel doesn't have air conditioning. I specifically asked in advance but it didn't work when we were there. The lobby was probably 80F. I know you shouldn't expect A/C in Europe, but I specifically asked in advance. One benefit is that the room was larger than I anticipated.

Our Stay at Hotel Germania

We arrived early on a very hot day after a long trip from the Alps. The ladies working the front desk got us checked in right away even though we were early and even provided a fan for our room.

This was typical behavior as the staff was always super friendly and attentive to our needs.

The room was spacious and comfortable.

The hotel as a whole was charming and had a nice vibe to it.

The location was very conjested and a little noisy, but close to the city center. Easily within walking distance.

My only concern was the public parking. The morning, we left there were 5 to 6 people sleeping in the parking spot next to my car, even leaning up against the car. Obviously, this is not Hotel Germania's issue. Perhaps they can work with the city to see that people don't loiter where they should not be.

Small rooms with the miniature shower. Location is not great. There are few good restaurants around but the area generally closes early and seemed a bit dodgy. Close to the train station, which is great but the area is what you expect around the main station.

Quaint hotel near Hauptbahnhof.

Hotel is under construction. My room needed repairs. Shower was small and narrow to get in. Radiator thermostat was not working. Had to open the window to busy street to lower temperature. Room was otherwise comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Great variety of hot and cold European food. Fresh and delicious.

However the wifi only worked in the lobby, the AC would make a very loud hum every 15-30 minutes for about 3 seconds all day/night

The area around the hotel is not pleasant, dirty, noisy, full of beggars - it's a shame because the hotel is nice

I arrived quite late at night but the hotel was very close to Hbf and easy to find.
Staffs were very friendly and helpful.
The building was being renovated but my room looks modern, clean.
Room size wasn’t too big as expected but for this price at this location I would say it’s totally good value for money.

The counter receptionist didn’t provide any information about breakfast. When I made the reservation through Expedia it said the hotel had parking. There was no mention of needing to reserve a parking spot. When we arrived we were told there no parking spots available and I had to park at a public location down the block.

Terrible hotel!!! The air conditioner wasn't working, the staffs acted like they didn't know. Liars! The ducts were full of dust and dirty. The bathroom was not stocked with necessary supplies. I can't believe how this hotel and its staff got a 4 star hotel rating.

Very comfortable hotel within 5 minutes walk of main station and old town. Professional and welcoming staff. The hotel is on the corner so it’s easy to enter the casino by mistake, but the friendly staff showed us to the correct entrance. Though there are bars and restaurants on the street it was quiet with window closed.

Very close to the Wiesn for Oktoberfest and an equal distant walk to the Marktplatz in old town. The hotel is like a typical European hotel, veey nice lobby. The room was recently renovated, bed was comfortable, bathroom was typical to all our other rooms in Europe including a recently built Moxy hotel. The staff was excellent, bar was at the reception but had many great conversations in the lobby with other guest. We were placed on the quiet side of the hotel so no issues with noise. I would stay again.

We stayed one day and it was hot. The room did not have air conditioning. To move to one of the 17 rooms with air conditioning they charged us 50 Euros more per night. The room was nicer than the first room. Since it was 35 - 40 degrees Celcius the week we were there we paid and since we determined the lack of air conditioning after we checked in the room was nonrefundable.

The hotel had an amazing location right by the train station with a grocery store across the street. Inside was remodeled and rooms were comfortable. We were on the 5th floor in the summer, so the fan didn't get the room to a comfortable level for sleeping, so that was the only downside.

We did upgraded the room for only $30. The room was very good. The area is not that good but we were looking to be close to main train station. be aware. Everything else was perfect, Lidl is across the street for breakfast, coffee and tea provided. Breakfast in hotel too expensive and not worth it.

Really pleased with the room. Lots of space for a \"budget\" hotel and the cleaning staff were really good. Definitely would recommend if you want to stay in a cheaper hotel that's still comfortable and has the amenities of a real hotel.
