I stay at this hotel every time I visit Munich. I have never had a bad experience. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, the staff is always great, and the breakfast is outstanding. I will continue to stay at this hotel on any future trips.

Room was moderately spacious. Enough for two people to throw all their clothes and suitcases on the floor and still walk around without stubbing your toe. Room was cleaned each day. Bed was made, sheets not changed unless requested. Coffee maker was good. Shower was spacious with warm water. Door closed all the way so no European floods on the bathroom floor. Toilet paper was abundant. Good amount of towels. Light control for the whole room from the bed which eliminated looking for light switches for all 1000000 lights. Room had a portable fan. Windows opened. Also had a separate heater.

This is a basic hotel near the central station. Location is good for catching trains & going on tours since they depart from the station which is 1 block away. The hotel itself is just ok. Room is dark & small. Breakfast is basic.

The location was excellent! Really easy to get to and from Oktoberfest. For the price we paid I wish it would’ve been nicer. The hallway smelled like B.O. and the room smelled like wet dog. The staff was friendly. Parking was 25 euros.

The room was clean, but the bathroom door was a sliding door and didn’t fully close. The TV wouldn’t work at first finally came on. Then it would randomly turn off. It wasn’t on a timer or anything like that. It might turn off after 5 minutes or after 70 minutes or any other time.

I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Munich’s city center and while the staff were truly wonderful—friendly, attentive, and eager to help—the accommodations left much to be desired. The rooms felt outdated and lacked the comfort I expected at this price point. The shower doors didn’t close properly, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor, and the towels provided were quite small. Amenities were minimal—just shampoo and soap, with no body lotion or other thoughtful touches.

For $1500 over four nights, I expected a far more polished and comfortable experience. Sadly, the value just wasn’t there. Despite the excellent staff, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

Close to central station and S-bahn to airport (S1 or S8) & efficient check-in after midnight. Check out by midday with baggage hold provided while sightseeing.
Breakfast until 10.30 with fully stocked food items and plenty of tables.
Comfortable beds. Sliding coloured glass doors between bedroom/bathroom were a bit noisy.
Overall good price for facilities & friendly staff.

This hotel is unsuitable for families seeking a safe and secure environment. Although the hotel itself is clean and the rooms are adequate, the surrounding area significantly detracts from the overall experience. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by individuals sitting on the stairs begging. Additionally, two nearby hostels, one of which appears to house asylum seekers, contribute to the discomfort. Groups of males, often with hoods covering their faces, can be seen walking around and looking at females and children, which can be particularly intimidating, especially at night. The front of the hotel is extremely noisy, with groups of young males drinking and shouting late into the night. Furthermore, the front desk staff were not particularly helpful. As a family, I would not choose to stay at this location again.

Well, between the room that was 35 C and stank to high heaven, the pubic hairs on the floor (which weren't our colors), the leftover 'suspicious substances' in our safe and the front door staff who dismissed your questions & concerns... yeah, never going back.

Not to mention, it's NOT in that great of an area. You would be better off staying closer to old town or up by the Olympic stadium.

Motel is in a great location only a short walk from Munich HBF train station and a supermarket (if need be) is only 200 meters away at the end of the street.
One of the things we really liked about staying here is that they provided a kettle in the room which not many in Germany seem to do.
Breakfast was ok and even though our room faced the street, it was reasonably quiet.
You must visit two of the most famous beer halls/garden in Europe. The Hofbrauhaus has fantastic atmosphere and a pint of beer is the standard drink (you can get one smaller). We had no idea what we had ordered other than it was a chicken dish. Came out as a whole chicken (there small over here) and mashed potato. Seemed pretty mundane but it was the tastiest chicken and potato I've ever had. The Augustiner Keller is the biggest beer garden I have ever seen. It's huge! The beer comes only in 1 Liter kegs but there's plenty of variety although I found the food to be a bit ordinary.
The beauty of staying at the Leonardo is that both of these places are walking distance away. A good night there and it could be reworded as staggering distance away.

I think this hotel would have been fine if we were able to get a different room. The AC was not on because the outside temperature was low but the room we had was very hot. The wind owns did open. Unfortunately, we were on the street and the street had a lot of hostels on it. This meant that there were very loud groups outside in the street every night making a lot of noise well past midnight. So it was either don’t sleep because of noise or don’t sleep because of heat. It was a nice room but we slept poorly.

Content with our stay, clean room, good location and proximity to main train station and Christmas Markets.

Only issue was no Wifi for the duration of our stay, due to the heavy snow in the preceding days apparently affecting the street that the hotel was in - irrespective of the issue being out of the control of the hotel, it did reflect negatively on the overall trip.

Staff were great, both day and night shifts. They tried to be helpful with our various questions. Location was very close to the Main Train station and short walk to a lot of sightseeing. There is also a Lidl store for essential food items at the end of the block and a handy mini fridge in the room. Only complaint is that the bed was uncomfortable. The mattress springy and pillows (one very big and one very small) were too soft and flat. We enjoyed the location the best and price was reasonable.

This place was really not clean. The courtesy body wash was empty from day one and never replaced. We mentioned this but it was ignored. The entire hotel was very small. No space for parking or very narrow. Our room was tiny and the toilet bowl was directly next to the bed. There was a glass door but it did not help to manage the smell and the noise when somebody was using. It was not a pleasant stay. I can not recommend.

The room was just ok. When the guy at the desk found out I was only staying 1 night, he stuck me on the lowest floor with the windows facing the street. Literally all night I heard loud noises and smelled smoke coming into my windows. The AC apparently did not work. Will never stay again

This was the tiniest room. There was maybe a foot to get past the end of the bed, which was hard as a rock. Nowhere to put luggage, so it went on the floor. The AC barely worked. I woke up every night, overheating. I had to crack the window to get fresh air, but then ran the risk of hearing random people’s conversations at 2:30am on the patio below.
The bathroom is right next to the bed, so you’re partner will hear everything you do in there due to the sliding glass door that separates it. It is painfully small and the shower and tile grout seemed to be unclean-maybe mildew.
They charge 1600 euro for 4 nights for this nonsense because it’s Oktoberfest time and then charge extra for breakfast. The location is sketchy, but across the street from the HBF and 15 minutes from the Oktoberfest grounds, the Wiesen.
You can opt to “help save water” by not getting your room cleaned for 3 days as the only option, not 2 which would have been better. I had to go ask for more toilet paper and towels.
The guys at the front desk: not the friendliest.
The tiny elevator (barely room for 2 people and luggage) was broken at least one day.
The whole experience put me off to Munich. It’s sad because I used to absolutely love Germany and wanted my boyfriend to love it, too. This hotel ruined the evening portion of our trip.
Also, don’t buy the optional hotel insurance on Orbitz. Get separate ins. The insurance company is non responsive & once you’ve paid, that money is gone.

I do wish the rooms had been a little cooler. They had AC, but it did not work very well and it was an unusually hot September.
I also wish the staff had been a little friendlier. Some were great! Others seemed like when you asked them things it was a bother.
Also wish breakfast had been better. For 19 euro I would skip it. Not worth the cost.
But all in all a good experience. Just minor complaints!

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is a located two blocks from the main train station and a few blocks from old town Munich. It is also a short walk to Oktoberfest, if you are in Munich for that.
The hotel is clean and quiet. There is a bank at the corner of the street if you need to change money. Several coffee shops within a block or two. A Lidl at the end of the street if you need water or snacks. I would stay at this hotel again.

We just got back today from Five nights at the Leonardo. On the plus side the hotel is located beside the main train station and really close to Airport Coach stop. The breakfast was excellent and the girls on duty each morning were very helpful and friendly.
The room we stayed in was really cramped and I’ve seen larger bathrooms in Caravans. The local area is quite run down and rough and it was really noisy at nights. The almost none existent air conditioning meant we had a lot of very hot sweaty sleepless nights and we couldn’t open the windows because of the outside noises of yelling and arguments in the surrounding area. This might suit young folk on a budget, but the next time we visit Munich, we’ll be staying elsewhere.

The air condition is not working in whole hotel and there is no any plans to fix it in the near future. Very hot and stuffed air does not allow to get good sleep at night. Very bad so called pillows would add to this discomfort. Could not complain about mattress.

The property was clean and convenient. The hotel did not have air conditioning during our stay. It was warm in the room and we had to leave windows open. The location was vibrant, with much activity on the streets and nearby making it loud to leave windows open. The hotel provided fans to help with the room temperature comfort, but they were old an noisy. It would have been nice to have known the property wouldn’t have the A/C working, but it didn’t seem to be mechanical malfunction, just that the hotel wasn’t providing A/C. We would have likely picked a different hotel if we knew this.

Pictures are not the same as the standard room for 1 person , which is i got surprised once i arrived to the smell - small room - and uncomfortable room , I m so disappointed to this hotel and they need to change the pictures posted online to reality so customers can get the real pictures. Enjoyed a four night stay here.

Check in was quick and easy. My room was very clean and beyond sufficient. Size was a bit on the small side but was spacious enough for one. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, plenty of outlets both at the desk and by the bed.

The breakfast was good with a variety of options every morning.

The staff was incredible and could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

All and all, a great hotel with an excellent staff. I will definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel for convenience because it is near the train station. Although, the room was much smaller respect the pictures. The housekeeper didn’t do the room one of the days of my stay but she just left the towels. The aerea surrounding the hotel is not the best but it is very convenient to reach Munich center or the airport. The breakfast was very good and especially Elisa very pleasant to serve.
