Very spacious bedroom, with desk, kettle with complimentary tea and coffee, a minibar with FREE drinks (not just water), a safe, enough closet and luggage space, air conditioning, and extra toiletries. Though the bathroom was small, it also had everything one would need. Staff at reception and breakfast were very friendly. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, with warm and cold dishes plus fruits. WiFi was stable enough that I could access my work desktop remotely with no issues. I booked at a low-season rate so this was definitely the best option for me. I will choose this hotel again for sure.

This was our second stay at the Schiller, and any return to Munich will be here again. The hotel is so welcoming, the rooms are spacious and spotless, the breakfast is plentiful with everything imaginable, and the location is perfect. It’s a short walk from the train station, which is also a hub for the city transportation, so everything is within easy reach.
We were there in December, and there were Christmas decorations in the lobby and breakfast room, and cookies at the entrance. All together, a very wonderful stay.

Room was clean but bed frame sounded like it was going to break every time you moved. Mattress was lumpy. Towels could stand to be renewed, bit threadbare.
Size of room was small to maneuver around with 2 adults.

On the plus side the hotel is conveniently located to railway station a short walk away with access to all the city’s transport networks. The staff were helpful, and the studio with balcony was clean and spacious and bed comfortable. On the minus the grey room décor is dreary and the city view a disappointment, overlooking a somewhat neglected balcony and across to uninteresting roof tops with one or two city buildings far in the distance. The kitchenette was not well appointed with no wine glasses, kitchen knife or microwave utensils and the bath towels were thin and tiny. In summary a mixed experience.

Super Great location right on main train door step and the heart of all key action for travellers. Train access with lots of lifts and escalator access for big luggage. Dining and accessibility to daily needs perfect in underground train station.
Hotel room super clean, safe, comfy bed, bathroom shower pressure great. I didnt have bfast there but seemed popular with guests.
Would definitely stay there again.

We had a suite, which was huge. There was an entryway with a small bathroom, closets, a living room area with a pull-out bed, a desk, and a kitchenette with a sink and dish washer. The bedroom was large with its own large bathroom and a king-sized bed. There was a balcony with a few chairs that overlooked the driveway leading into the hotel. Not a great view but not a terrible one either. The front desk staff was very nice and very helpful, and the breakfast options (while a little overpriced) were varied.

Nice Hotel in Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at Schiller5 Hotel. It is less than a block away from the Haupbahnhof so transportation is easy, and it's also walking distance to Marienplatz which is convenient. The streets around the hotel are very busy and noisy with construction but we didn't hear it in our room. I read previous reviews about the neighborhood being not so great. Yes there are some homeless people around, but no worse than most large cities and we felt safe. We loved the breakfast which was fabulous, with a large selection of hot and cold items.

Easily walkable with luggage from the central train station.
On the outskirts and easy walk to the touristy town center.
Room was clean and spacious. Nice that they provide couple waters, juice and a bottle of beer in the mini-bar included in the room and refilled with each cleaning. The area just 1-2 block south of the hotel might seem little sketchy late at night with some strip clubs. Fine however during the day and evening. Would stay here again if we visit Munich again.

Room looked nothing like the pictures, but was dark and gloomy. Room was under the roof, could not stand up straight on one side of the bed. Room was not properly made up (sheets not straightened, lumpy pillows not shaken out). Cook top cracked.
Would not stay there again and do not recommend.

The location was fantastic for us. Close to the main station with trams, and UBahn stop at the corner. Lots of places for a quick take away meal, but also some nice places in the area. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the old town and art museums. Breakfast was good with many options and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The only complaints we had were fruit flies at breakfast and the very tall tub/shower that was a bit difficult for my short legs to get in and out of.

Wonderful, clean rooms well accommodated. The hotel is steps away from the Hauptbahnhof and all the energy that comes with it. I enjoyed how we literally stepped off the street into a quiet alley that felt safe. Good security measures and the staff was kind and caring.
I try to give a blow dryer rating with all my comments, 6/10. Good heat and power, but it’s attached to the wall, also have to hold the button to maintain power.

Great location. Well appointed. Very clean and modern. Great layout. My room faced Schiller Straße hardly heard a sound at night. Block out curtain. Micro Kitchen with two cook tops. Mini fridge with limited free drinks eg juice water and beer which was impressive. Off the Main Street that leads to Munich Central station. A short 10 minute walk to Marien Platz. Main entrance to hotel is in modern clean lane way. I had to leave hotel at 5.30 am in the morning to catch train. No issues. Felt safe. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the suite, and it was gigantic by European hotel room standards. We loved it!
The only downsides were the area around it was not terrible, but not great. There were at least 3 strip clubs on the block. And driving there was very hard because of road construction closing the street (Google maps was confused). But we would stay here again, for sure!

Made to feel so welcome, party of 10 celebrating a friends special birthday. Given use of a private room on the evening of the birthday to carry on celebrating after our dinner out. Staff very warm and friendly. Location great for trains and trams, but surrounding area is under construction woth a few undesirable folk about. Didn't cause is any problems though. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is adqeuate althought not as nice looking in person as in the pictures. You can tell this is a refurbed older property. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable and that was all that we needed. However, the area around the hotel is just too sketchy. There were people actively shooting up around the corner from the hotel. The street in front of the hotel is also closed and making the hotel very hard to get to (impossible from the north). While neither of these things are the hotel's fault, it is important to note nonetheless.

Really nice hotel. Rooms were modern, and clean , bathrooms updated. Water pressure and plumbing worked great! Great breakfast as well! The location was a 5 minute walk from Marienplatz and a 10 minute walk from Octoberfest. surrounding area had a lot of homeless, people loitering in the street and gambling parlors. They didn’t bother the tourist so it wasn’t a problem for us.

Room was outdated and we were given a room on a floor that is still undergoing reno, no wall paper baseboard in the hall way, worst we found 2 bugs in the bathroom like little cockroaches , showed the photos to the staff but that was about it . This is not a 4 star hotel , outside lots of construction and road closure , not orderly as the rest of the city . I am disappointed , particularly it is not cheap to stay here .

1. Cleanliness
Since the first day of arrival, we had a stinky toilet. The mirrors and sink were not clean either.

2. Noise
It’s loud. I can’t spot what it is but there was this relentless whirring sound from what seemed like a vent outside, and the windows weren’t very sound proof.

3. Location
The only positive quality about this hotel was that it was near the train station. But even that is debatable, given that the neighborhood itself is not exactly pristine and the fact that the entrance was a sketchy back alley walkway.

4. Overall
I’m surprised that this hotel had such high ratings. In my standards, this is more like a motel (back alley entrance, quality of rooms, etc.)

A wonderful hotel in a very convenient part of the city, close to everything. Streets nearby are well-lit and safe to walk.
The buffet breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Room was very comfortable and cleaned daily.
PS. I had a small problem, independent of my hotel stay, and the help that I received from the hotel's team was most appreciated.

Overpriced for what its worth. I could haved at a much better hotel for what I paid. It was very disappointing to say the least. The room was clean but the slanted walls made it awkward hot the tv was situated. Bathroom super small no closure to shower so water was everywhere. I wasnt fond of the flimsy blue towels they should definitely get white new towels its not good to have colored towels because of dyes and its cheap looking not higher end. Bed was ok but pillows sucked. Breakfast was ok and location for transportation was great. I wouldnt recommend this place unless this is your thing...

Modern Hotel Nearn Munich Central Station

Conveniently located near the main railway station and easy walking distance to the Old Town. While there is some construction work in the area which involves redirection of foot traffic, this is not a great inconvenience. We did not have a car so can't comment on issues associated with that. Our room was very quiet, clean and comfortable with sufficient space and a split system AC. The kitchenette with fridge, which had drinks replenished for free daily, was appreciated. The bathroom was clean and very functional. There are plenty of casual and more formal dining options in the area with supermarkets/grocery stores nearby. This will be our first choice hotel for return visits to Munich.

Good location for the train station

It’s an ok hotel, clean, well kept and in a central location. All works well but in my opinion is NOT a 4 star hotel, it’s a 3 start at most. Basic services, amenities, and just standard accommodation. Although centrally located the street where it is, it’s not nice, full of table dance and night bars (not the nice ones) and in general not a friendly vibe (on the block, not the hotel).
If you are looking for a decent, clean hotel to spend the night, it’s ok but if you prefer more comfort, a nicer zone, better facilities and a family-friendly area, you will be better somewhere else.

A very pleasant stay at the Schiller 5 hotel. The location is extremely convenient for the central Hauptbahnhof station. Trains from the airport stop here and it was no more than 5-10 mins walk away. Great location for a short stay.

The area around the hotel was just ok. There was lots of building going on which means it isn’t the most peaceful of settings, although peace and quiet can’t be expected in a city centre.

The rooms were a generous size. We had a kitchenette in our room. No milk was provided, although tea and Nespresso coffee pods were provided.

The breakfast was good. Good choice of pastries and some hot options including scrambled eggs snd sausages.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Glad I found this and booked based on other reviews. This hotel was very modern, clean, quiet, with friendly staff - including the owner who made his rounds during their truly well-done breakfast. I had a hard time getting out of bed because it was so comfortable and the shower/bath was so nice. An easy walk to the trains and Oktoberfest.

Lovely hotel. Excellent location to main train station and to getting around Munich. Room was well set out, clean and comfortable. A few little complimentary treats in the minibar was a nice touch.

The breakfast was excellent, wide selection of pastries, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, meats and cheeses with a few hot choices too, including bacon and eggs.

Friendly staff throughout the hotel and very willing to store luggage safely before check in and after check out.

The Schiller5 hotel is an absolute gem. In spite of being right in the centre of Munich, it is lovely and quiet in the hotel. You Should Definitely Stay with Schiller5

Courteous and friendly reception staff that really are attentive to guests having a great stay. Additionally, having staff that spoke English was appreciated—especially since it seems that many locals working in hospitality in Munich either only speak German or are only willing to speak English when they become frustrated with guests. Finally, having a mini bar that offers apple juice and cola along with the standard bottled water for free was an extra perk.

This hotel feels like a home away from home. It‘s modern without sacrificing personal touches. The room was clean and the breakfast delicious. We met the owner during breakfast one morning and found him to be a delightfully charming guy.

The hotel was great. I had a very pleasant stay. Staff was extremely helpful. Very accommodating. The room was good. Very nice stay. Worked out well. Good breakfast and location was walking distance to the main attractions. Overall happy I picked this.

quiet comfort in a convenient location

we loved our stay at Schiller5, i booked it due to it's proximity to the train station but was not expecting the hotel to be so quiet and comfortable given it's location - it's nestled in a small laneway off the main street, the room was large, bed was great, even had a minibar and kitchenette which we were not expecting.
the shower had excellent water pressure as well.
we particularly were impressed by the quantity and quality of the breakfast on offer!

thankyou to the staff for making my first visit to germany a comfortable and pleasant experience
