Perfectly good hotel

It is a comfy hotel. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was substantial. My only quibble is that the layout of the hotel is somewhat confusing. It would help if they included a map of the floor plan on the website

Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Also across the street from the train station. Our room was nice, but there was a strong odor of mold in the bathroom even though the bathroom was clean. The bathroom would have been more comfortable without a door which made being in there claustrophobic. Plus, it was too small.

The best spa facilities included in your stay, saunas, steam room, slide, pool, jacuzzi. Loved the pianist in the bar in the evening. Breakfast was a full buffet of literally anything you could think of. Your metro transport is included for 3 days and you're right outside the station. Almost forgot the gym, squash court and yoga studio which was empty 🙏

I arrived late and left early, so I didn't get to explore Hamburg at all. The hotel's location is great for access to the railway station. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and I appreciated there being oat milk. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, however there was no air-conditioning and it was a little stuffy. Also I think the use of plastic cups is not environmentally friendly.

A great hotel across the street from the train station, and walking distance to shops, malls, and many great restaurant. The room was clean, and comfortable. We always stay in this hotel whenever possible. They have a great breakfast buffet. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great location and lovely spa.

Convenient location opposite the train station. Three spas and lots of relaxation zones on different levels above the pool. The spa is from 7am till 10 or 11pm, so very helpful to those arriving late. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the piano playing in the bar. The room (double) was spacious.

Very nice hotel, friendly helpful staff

Arriving early for a business trip I had the chance to use the hotels facilities. The gym, spa and pool area were always kept spotless and the staff always welcomed with a friendly attitude.

The only downside to the visit was the area which the hotel is in. The area appears to have been overrun with prostitution and drugs but as long as you stay close to the hotel or go outside the immediate area it’s safe enough.

1) There are no electrical outlets within reach in the room. I had to charge the phone in the socket of the bathroom, and the laptop in the socket of the vacuum cleaner near the front door (the hotel's answer: this is how it is in all the rooms).
2) I asked if I could have a glass of fresh lemon juice (on doctor's orders - I got there after a week in Copenhagen, where they were happy to fulfill my modest request). The person responsible for breakfast answered: \"No.\"
Summary: A two star hotel pretending to be four stars.

We have stopped at this property on several occasions and the service has gone down. There was no Internet to the television in the room. You could not cast as they said you could.
The window in the room was left open fully , the room was cold and insecure.
Paper cups in the room only 2 tea bags . 2 strips of coffee no Milk.
We were not told the pool and sauna were closed.
We did complain to the front desk. Nothing was rectified.
The staff at front desk was not concerned at all
On leaving the receptionist as was everything ok .
When I said no she walked of
We will not stop there again.

I stayed 3 nights, and many times in the past 10 years, the room is so run down no upgrading done, the mattress is soft and the pillow is too soft result I suffered a neck stiffness every morning! The shower room flooring is too slippery and will easily cause accident!

we were not allowed to park the car in the garage because it runs on electricity. It cost us €11 more to park in a public garage. Too many troublesome stairs to reach the room, we are not young people anymore. Never choose this hotel again. worst so far on our trip through Europe.

Love, love the staff! They were absolutely wonderful! When I told them that I was preparing to present at an International conference, they found the quiet room possible, which was spacious, luminous, pleasant and impeccable. No questions went unanswered The Hotel staff was warm, interested in helping, professional and knowledgeable. I would go back! Right across the central Hamburg Train station and next to little fab Portuguese restaurants nearby. All the interesting points were within walking distance. I highly recommended it! I feel deeply grateful; my stay was splendid!

Excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well furnished and have space. We loved it. The staff are very professional and friendly. Excellent breakfast. And even though it's just over the road from the main station, our room was quiet. The hotel does provide earplugs for guests who may be overlooking the main road. Would live to come again.

Excellent situation opposite HauptBahnhof. Multilingual pleasant staff - guy on luggage storage particularly good considering what a boring job. Even cleaners pleasant. Excellent piano bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast comprehensive with long hours to get it. Room noisy due to location but hotel gave earplugs and slippers. Room stuffy but bed and chair comfortable with option to request more coffee made clear. Hadn't noticed minibar

I am disappointed. With the hotel itself and with Hotels.com too.
Parking onsite could not be booked and was not included. The parking next to it costs over 40€/day in a terrible parking garage. They did not grant a cancellation and the luggage had to be carried two blocks to the hotel

The room was so absolutely wonderful! Authentic furnishings and thoughtful design! Sweet love seat built into the corner of the room and matching vintage furniture! Super convenient location right across the street from the train station. Well designed bathroom that was simultaneously functional and remarkably dramatic. We really wished we could have stayed longer and plan to return as soon as possible!

Was perfect location for train travel. The concierge provided easy directions to use the transit system, with hotel provided transit passes, to the new Hamburg Concert Hall. After concert drinks in the hotel bar were a perfect end to the day. We were able to use the free transit passes to tour the city prior to our leaving and the welcomed late departure the hotel provided.

My room was very cozy and the twin bed was excellent. I slept really well. The hotel is just outside the main train station and you are basically at the heart of the city's subway network. A 3 day ticket for free public transportation is included and the hotel will extend it after 3 days. Breakfast is also included and covers everything. The hotel bar is cozy as well. Just the front desk staff needs to be mow customer friendly.

Fantastic hotel right across the street from the main train station. They gave us a great view for our anniversary and the breakfast was really good, too. It is centrally located so you can walk to most places or just hop on the metro or bus (they give you a multi day pass to use on all public transport… wow). We would definitely stay here again.

Functional hotel in good location

Whilst not on a par decor-wise with more modern hotels in Hafencity for example, the Europaischer Hof nevertheless has some advantages - its location across the road from the Hbf can't be beaten if you need to catch an early train, plus it is within easy walking distance of the central sights such as the Dom as well as the Hafencity. The 3-day travel pass is a nice touch, the breakfast was tasty with a wide choice and there is a cosy bar. Didn;t get to use the wellness area unfortunately as only there for one night. Although the interior decor is quite dated, the room was comfortable and clean.

Perfect location directly across the street from Hauptbahnhof main entrance, & just blocks away from restaurants on Lange Reihe street, the waterfront and the Alster parks. Full breakfast worth getting too. Great front-desk service too. A bus/subway pass was a nice bonus. The 12-noon checkout let me sneak in a last day of sight-seeing too. On my shortlist for any return to Hamburg!

We stayed 2 nights at the Europaischer Hof and what a delightful surprise. The concierge made a huge difference in our stay thanks to his restaurant recommendations and his precise details about the different hop on/hop off bus tours and the different boat tours. Extremely helpful! The included breakfast was very good—plentiful water, tea, coffee and many choices of food: fruit, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, and to order omelettes, waffles. Very well done with helpful wait staff. And the location can’t be beat: just outside the central rail station. And many places are within walking distance (although the subway is right there, too): Art museum, main square, pedestrian shopping streets, a lively restaurant street behind the hotel. The room was nicely sized, with windows that we could open to enjoy some fresh air. While a large hotel, it was very quiet. Our only small complaint is that the shower stall was on the small size. Definitely a good value and we would certainly go again.

Our rooms were nice but the beds were very soft and small. Basically 2 x 90cm beds pushed together. The bathroom was nice and so was the breakfast. Luckily the weather was cold so no air condition wasn’t needed.

Definitely worth a stay!

In the very centre of the city. Quiet, even though just accross the main station. On check-in, you get a free public transport ticket for your entire stay. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, complimentary water bottles waiting. Wifi signal is excellent. Breakfast delicious; omelettes made to order and nice selection of teas. Staff at the reception super friendly (met our request for late check-out). Definitely my hotel of choice when in HAM.

The hotel offers good service and a central location. Beds are comfortable (standard plus room). We were not told, that the spa would be closed during the stay. No AC and very noisy towards the train station during the night. Consider asking for rooms facing otherwise if you want to sleep with the window open.

It is so sad that such a nice hotel with great facilities is spoilt by such poor customer service. Far too many things to cover from check in to lack of shower gel in the room to abysmal service at breakfast. This has the potential to be the best hotel in Hamburg, but everytime its let down by abysmal service.

A reasonably priced city centre hotel

Room initially allocated was small with a small bathroom and a separate shower which was dark and uninviting. subsequently 'upgraded' to a renovated room, which was much more comfortable, but the 'king size' bed was in fact 2 single beds placed together. Not very appropriate for a romantic stay! However, breakfast was excellent and the pool is wonderful.

Best hotel next to Central Train Station

The best feature of this hotel is its proximity to the Hamburg Central Train Station. The breakfast is also spectacular. The rooms are a bit strange and offer little comfort but they are clean and everything is available there. All in all it's a 4 star **** hotel.

Great location, but the layout in the room little unusual. A big TV unit is very close to the bed and disturbs the circulation around the room. Shover is tiny. The shower curtain keeps sticking to you. King size bed made from two separated bed and its keep detaching during your sleep and wake you up.
If you ask a question about which taxi app you should use in Germany, they don't know the answer, and they even don't bother to ask even their colleagues in reception. They are ok to live you without a solution. Pushing them would get you somewhere, surprisingly you would not expect that from a hospitality business.
They also have a good breakfast.
