Everything was great except the WiFi connection was not working reliably enough and extremely slow. One day my husband and I even had to use the phone as hot spot.
As someone whose job relies on a stable and fast connection, I will most likely not return.

Great location right across from the central train station and within walking distance to most attractions in the city. Hotel was clean, room was comfortable, and breakfast was good.

Check-in staff were friendly offering advice on local attractions and helping identify locations on a map. The hotel bar was small but had good bar food and the bar staff were top notch. Attentive and friendly. Nice to chat with the bar staff when I'm travelling solo!

Upon reading the reviews I would agree with some not others. I found every member of staff extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Staff always on hand for every need. Hotel was clean and welcoming. Negatives:
It is not 5 star.
Housekeeping awful. Paper cups, wooden stick instead of a spoon. No shaving mirror in bathroom. Lack of sockets. No mirror except in the bathroom. Never replaced or washed up. Made the beds, changed towels. That was all.
Had to ask for robes for the spa which should have been in the room already.
Pool freezing could not use.
No hot tub as advertised.
Sauna ALWAYS naked men. As a women this is uncomfortable and unnecessary. Could not use this either.
Room faced a table dancing venue. Shouting and screaming all night. Police there last night. You should be able to stream the Tv.
I had a pleasant stay but will not return.

The room was very spacious, and it was hard for us to leave. The only thing that could be improved is the check-in process, as it was a bit slow. Aside from that, the breakfast was very good and offered a wide variety of options. We had hot water, and our stay was very pleasant. After checking out, they kindly stored our luggage for a few hours, which we really appreciated.

The security deposit of 200 euros was a surprise. The hotel public areas were clean. The room was dark and could have done with additional lighting. Bathroom wall had splash marks down it next to the toilet, there was a hatch partially open in the bathroom ceiling, the shower would not lock out on the rail, so kept slipping down.
The breakfast was amazing with a large choice.
On check out we were told our security deposit would be refunded in 3-5 days, we are still waiting and have subsequently been told by customer service it could be up to 14 days??
Will go back, but next time kick up a fuss if anything is wrong.

The good: Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms, nice spa, amazing service. Food in restaurant was reasonable and the restaurant has lovely design. Minutes from main train station yet inside you feel like in sanctuary. Short distance to historic centre. metro at doorstep.

The bad: please ensure that TVs have option to stream own content - add chrxomecast boxes or similar - its 21st century... Hotel staff sorted it by adding HDMI cable as I had own stream box but most travelers will expect to be able to mirror device directly.

We had booked the stay in January and at the last minute we had to cancel due to a family emergency. The hotel very kindly gave us our money back even though the booking was non refundable. Convenient base of operations for Munich. We enjoyed the proximity to HBH (central station and city centre). As a Marriott property, we felt it would be reliable and comfortable. It was. We had a few service issues and inconsistencies with housekeeping. There was apparently a fire alarm just as we were leaving for the airport. Fortunately, it resolved before we and the other guests had to carry loads of suitcases down the stairs while the elevators were disabled.

This is an excellent hotel in a wonderful location. I fought with the shower head every morning, as it was determined to spray water to the side of the shower cubicle despite my best efforts, but that was the charm of the bathroom. I will always remember its personality. The coffee in the room was a little ordinary. But the buffet breakfast and the ability to use a machine to get double shots made up for the pathetic instant coffee in the room and insufficient milk portions. All up, a nice stylish, reasonably affordable hotel. I recommend it for these reasons.

The hotel is well positioned just far enough from the old town and right over the road from the central station. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. We were on the road side and even with the hustle and bustle of the street below it was quiet with the window closed. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and very friendly staff throughout the hotel.

We did not have a good experience. We reached out in advance many days before to request two rooms with connecting doors, as we have small children. Hotel said they would do everything possible to accommodate that. When we arrived, not only we dis not get connecting rooms, but the two rooms were far away from each other. Staff did nothing to solve our problem, only saying that the hotel was full. They promised to change us to new rooms as soon as possible, but never even cared to reach out to us again. So would not recommend staying there if you have children, as the hotel does not care to you

We booked four rooms and informed hotel that due to the escalating war situation and cancellations, we cant check-in on all four rooms. Our brother is flying out from Zurich and cant make it to Munich. We informed way before check-in - but the hotel stuck to the inflexible cancellation policy and charged us for the entire room. A WAR IS NOT A NORMAL SITUATION. AIRSPACES CLOSING IS NOT NORMAL and all good hotels in the world understand this and adjust.
Yet Marriott which is such a big name decided to charge us anyway.

We had a similar situation at a Hyatt hotel in Japan, when earthquakes were reported and we were scared to go in that area. The hotel was nice enough to understand its not normal situation and refunded us the money.
Thats why I prefer IHG - they have way better service than Marriott

Counter is slow for checking in and out. Staff was awesome and very helpful! Entry doors to the hotel are not good/easy to get in or out.

Breakfast is WAY too expensive and not feasible for families.

Fresh Coffee is not available, should be complimentary with what this hotel costs.

Overall great hotel and stay - professional staff and clean hotel.

Incredible location. about a 10 min walk to the train station that takes you to the airport for about 10 euro's vs a 80 euros for an uber and over 100 euros via taxi. The largest out door mall I've ever seen is only a 10 min walk away.

Not the best value for money, but ok

It was a nice hotel for the most part, but with some issues. The room was quiet dark with a lack of both natural light (we had a garden facing room that faced a small and claustrophobic feeling inner court, not a real garden and no sunlight coming in) and only two very dim lamps in the room. The bathroom was very nice with a big walk-in shower. Service was also a bit lacking. Our room was not cleaned until well in the late afternoon every day and on two days we had to complain to finally get someone to come clean the room. Breakfasts was also nice but the dining room gets very crowded and the tables are very close together. Lastly, nice pool and decent gym.

The property is conveniently located near the train station and offers easy access to the city, which was a major plus. We stayed in a suite with a separate living area (with a double pull-out bed) and a main bedroom with a king bed—plenty of space for a family.

Unfortunately, the stay had a few drawbacks. The room was uncomfortably warm at night, especially in the main sleeping area. We had to choose between opening the windows to cool down or dealing with loud street noise, including ongoing construction during the day and rowdy crowds at night. Maintenance helped get the A/C working in the living room, but it didn’t fully resolve the issue.

Additionally, I had to request the bed be made up in the living space three times before it was done, which was frustrating.

Overall, the size and location of the suite were the highlights, but the lack of comfort and noise levels made it an average stay.

No soap in the bathroom, asked 3 different members if staff including the receptionist. We jever got the soap had to use the shower gel instead. First of a 3 night stay having a shower in the morning notice the bathroom floor was wet, turned out the radiator was leaking and was pouring water all over the floor. Housekeeping notified we got moved to get a different room. Went out for the day and night in new room went without any issues. Went out the following day and returned to change for dinner and the room had not been serviced. Contacting reception who said they worid get this organised. Returned later that night and coffee/tea, milk water and again soap not replenished. Contacted reception again!! Another issue resolved again. The new room had an issue with the safe this was never resolved! At checkout we expressed our concerns, we were given a voucher which could be redeemed in the restaurant..during our stay!! Definitely not a 5 star. Seemed to have a problem with housekeeping, when I asked for soap i was handed body lotion!!!

4 night stay.Would definitely return. Excellent location. Hotel is opposite the central train station.10-15 minute walk from the centre of town. Staff were professional, helpful, conversive & efficient. A big shout out inparticular for the reception staff , Imri restaurant staff & the breakfast-bar staff who made fabulous omlettes! Superb, plentiful breakfast , with multiple options to suit all tastes. Quiet room, Large comfortable bed. Good shower with high quality toiletries. Spa amenities were spotlessly clean as were the rest rooms & communal areas. One star knocked off cleanliness due to the presence of the cute little fella (mouse) who appears to have made a home in the book cases in reception! Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Very good stay!

Despite all the negative comments I read my stay at the hotel was very good! The hotel is well located close to everything touristy and transport. The hotel is clean, modern, updated and everything you can possibly need in a room. Room service was prompt, housekeeping daily, free water in the room… no complaints. My only comment is the bed is very springy and the pillows too soft. But that is a personal preference!

The room had very little light (1 lamp and complete darkness over desk). Service was weak. Reception, housekeeping and room service phone lines would go unanswered. Service at the restaurant was lacking. Omlette server seemed to disdain scrambling the egg. WiFi was horrible.

Great location just opposite the Munich HBF. Welcoming atmosphere. Hotel exterior however looked old & tired for a 4/5 star hotel (especially compared to Sofitel just across the street which was decked out in Xmas lights and looked magical). Room is too dark with too few lights, a little dated out otherwise spacious and very comfortable. Tried the pool but it was just too cold to swim in winter (slightly heated but insufficiently).

Although this is a nice hotel in a great location for the centre and transport, the room was not so great. The only request I made was for a high floor. We were initially lucky to be given an upgraded room - however, this was a double rather than the twin I had booked (sharing with my sister). We had to request that we be moved to a twin, but this meant a downgrade and it seemed like they had nothing left for us, so we were eventually given a room which required housekeeping late in the evening, clearly a room which is left until last. It was right at the front of the building on the busy (noisy) main road and on the lowest floor possible. Some building works going on nearby meant an early loud wake up call on the first morning. Such a shame after booking so far in advance and being given an upgrade to begin with, which of course we really appreciated, but we had booked a twin for a reason and wanted our own space!

The hotel property was very conveniently located close to the train station and central Munich. The lobby and garden area very nice. Our room was clean and sufficient however the hallways are dingy, a bit musty and in need of updating. The Le Meridien and Sofitel are probably the nicer hotels in the area. My main concern was with the safety of the area as it is a bit \"gritty\" near the train station but that is nothing the hotel can correct and a trade-off for being a convenient proximity to the train.

The hotel and amenities overall is okay but the Checked in experience is a nightmare.
We arrived early so we did the checkin procedures at 1:30pm and were told that we just have to collect the keys after 3pm.
We were back to the hotel around 3:30pm and saw the super long queue waiting to check in.
So I asked on the staff with name initials A. L. T. and was told to queue all over again to just get the room keys. We were like so what s the point of all the checked in procedures? One man asked the same question that I did but he then got his room keys later on after I was told to queue again.
Lucky that I met the staff who helped me with the check in and he was so nice to ask someone at back office to log in the system to get the room keys for us.
Yet, one of the rooms was still not ready and end up we have to queue up again for get the key for the remaining room an hour later.

Queuing for three times and an hour in total is not a pleasant experience to start with.
More importantly, we feel that we were treated not the same by one of the staffs and there is obsiously inconsistency across the hotel in the checkin procedures. This is simply unprofessional and unfair to me after all the hotels I have visited from all over the world.

Yet, staff the bar and restaurant are very nice and other staff at reception have been helpful.

Hooe this review will be useful for customers who are looking for a smooth check in experience.
