The room is not the same as the picture shown. We booked 3X standard double room for 5 pax, and ended up getting 2X standard double room and a deluxe single room.

However, the double rooms did not meet expectations as the furnitures are old, and our air-cond was not functioning and only provided a portable fan/heater. Overall, we did not enjoy the stay at the hotel.

Wish the room had a tea/ coffee Kettle station
The cleaners only make bed and replace towels which is explained on an ‘environmental saving’ card? However would’ve been nice if they did a bit more of a clean as we had dirty cutlery / cups etc & were staying for 4 nights

The location was amazing for accessing everything especially as we were walking most places
Is in a downtown street - great for the kebab shops but also wouldn’t walk there alone at night as many strip clubs and lots of groups of men hanging about

Overall happy with stay and made up by the staff who are so nice, would stay again!

Location was good for getting to the hauptbahnhof. We did find a bug in the bathroom, I will spare you the variety 😬 but to be expected in an old building, maybe pest control was due soon. Like most big cities, around the train station is a little less desirable and shady characters but didn’t feel unsafe just a bit wary. The breakfast was great. Bed was very hard in a couple of the rooms we stayed as we had 3 rooms booked for family. Price was good.

EXCELLENT HOTEL. WE GOT TO THE HOTEL AT 10:35 PM. WE WENT OUT TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING TO EAT. THE PEOPLE WHO WE SAW OUTSIDE WERE MOSTLY DRUNK AND DANGEROUS. DURING THE DAYTIME THE QUALITY OF PEOPLE CHANGED AND IT WAS NOT THE SAME PEOPLE AS WE SAW AT NIGHT NEXT TO THE HOTEL. DURING THE DAYTIME, IT WAS GREAT TO ROAM AROUND THE CENTER OF MUNICH AND VERY SAFE.

This property was perfect for us staying 1 night in Munich. We flew in from the US arrived around 8am, left our bags with the friendly hotel staff, walked to a cafe and had amazing coffee and pastries, walked a bit further to the old city area which is full of shopping, food, old buildings including the old city hall on Marienplatz with the mechanical clock \"glockenspiel\" show twice per day, and several churches and the public market area where we tried herring salad and a lovely bottle of Stellenbosch Shiraz Rose at Nordsee Seafood (friendly staff), then we headed back to the Drei Lowen as we were told our rooms would be ready by noon, and they were! After a perfect shower and nap which was easy because the hotel is very quiet and the blackout curtains work wonders as well as the Air Conditioning, we walked to the old city area again for dinner at the classic Augustiner Stammhaus restaurant. Chef's Kiss for the delicious foods we ordered along with an Augustiner Weissbier... yum! After walking back to the hotel, we had a drink in the adorable bar and lounge area before getting a great night's sleep. As with most old cities, there is much construction happening everywhere. The street on which the Drei Lowen is located is no exception. We did not hear it and were not bother by it at all. The local streets are not the cleanest but we felt safe in the area. We were able to walk about 4 minutes from the hotel to catch a train to Regensburg which was a lovely ride.

Relaxing and enjoyable short break in Munich.

Perfect location for the city centre, Hauptbahnhof and connection to the airport. Within walking distance of the city centre landmarks, tour buses etc. Plenty of places to eat and drink within the immediate vicinity. Hotel was nice, room allocated was comfortable and clean. No complementary bottled water provided. Bottled water was €5. The breakfast provided was good with hot and cold options provided. Staff were friendly and helpful (I needed someone to look at the TV in my room). Definitely recommend the hotel to anyone on a short visit to Munich.

Staff hardly speaking English. Downgraded after the arrival without saying anything, no apology. Difficult to get any compensation. Generally the staff very un-friendly, non-european. Cobwebs and dust in the corners of the rooms.

Great if you need to be near the train station

The hotel and rooms are very clean and nice. Front desk was very quick and helpful. I note that some of the reviews comment on the neighborhood. The area around Munich Hbf is certainly grimy. This is a hotel for staying the night connecting through the train station. If you are a tourist, I would advise staying in the Altstadt, no question.

This hotel may have been nice at some point, but it is in disrepair and it is not even close to a 4 Star hotel (how it displays). It is not so bad either. It is a bed, and nice shower close to the station, so for the price it is ok. Note the area around the station is not dangerous but looks that way. It is also dirty, noisy, and very husy.

Area around the front of the hotel at night is unfortunately prone to people yelling at you for no particular reason possibly due to substance abuse.
This is not the fault of the hotel.

They put us in a smaller room than what we booked and paid for, refused to honor breakfast where it was clearly included when we booked it on Expedia. The staff was so rude he refused to communicate with us. All he said was Expedia must had made a mistake, then he refused to communicate further. The hotel is closed to two strip clubs, stay away.

This was an excellent and modern hotel in a very convenient location to both the main train station and the main pedestrian zone. There is plenty of great dining in the area (especially if you like Mediteranean) and and charming little brewery (Schloss) a couple of blocks away. The LIDL grocery is a 5 minute walk. The breakfast was excellent with fantastic coffee. This was a great option for my Munich visit. I had ZERO complaints.

I was disappointed with my stay. I am really surprised at the hotel’s four star rating. On a positive, the bed was comfortable.
Staff on check-in not welcoming, staff when checking out were okay. Staff on collection of luggage later in the day, again quite unfriendly, also made me locate the luggage room myself and didn’t even check that that the number on my receipt matched that on the bag. How secure is their left luggage room?
A previous guest had half eaten a pack of M&Ms from the mini bar. I brought this to the attention of reception evening staff and was told to come back in the morning. In the morning the reception staff simply fixed the pack with a staple (Photo attached) and gave it back to me to return to the mini bar!
The toilet smelt of stale urine and had dried urine splatters on the underside of the toilet seat. The shower head desperately needs a deep clean or replacing.
There was no kettle, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
The television is in the corridor between the bedroom and toilet. So the tv cannot be seen from the bed.
But. as I said, the bed was comfortable and I did sleep well.

The lobby was always clean. Staff was very helpful. Room was spacious. Room was clean when I arrived but housekeeping only occasionally refilled toilet paper and clean towels. The room was never cleaned or vacuumed the whole two weeks. It was occasionally loud with doors slamming. Hotel is very close to transportation. Easy to get around from hotel. Hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. They do have a breakfast area that serves food. It's not worth the money. The lady who cleans and helps with coffee machine very helpful and nice. The man making the eggs is very rude. The eggs are not that good for the attitude he gives. Honestly the price, location and front desk help makes this a good hotel. Would stay again based on this

Easy access to metro station. Ongoing construction on the street increases the noise level. Room was generally clean and well-lit; bedsheets looked like they’d previously been stained and were clean but with a few visible spots. Friendly and courteous staff, quick check in and check out process. Great for a quick overnight or waiting a night to fly out of Munich Airport. Hotel is very close to the central station as well as Marienplatz.

Spacious room which was about the only good thing. There was black mould in the bathroom, which as we all know is a serious health risk. The rooms were not sound proof, could hear every footstep above and noise from outside. Also the thermostat was not user friendly. Would not stay again.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Our room was excellent. The biggest down side is the location. There is heavy construction at the end of the block and our driver could not let us off in front. A little sketchy at night. Once you walk around all the contruction, the hotel was very near Karlzplatz and the Hop-on-Hop-off start.

Absolute dump. Horrible customer service. Paid money for a breakfast I wasn’t able to eat, as it was over by 10am (nobody told me the time for breakfast when checking in). Inflexible- check out at 11 and by 10:45 my keycard stopped working. Hotel had a massive water leak in the entrance, which froze and turned to ice. Sketchy AF neighborhood. Felt unsafe. If you are Jewish or LGTBQ : stay away from this place, you aren’t welcomed in the neighborhood.

I had stayed here before and did return, We had a one night stay and the hotel was good and the staff were excellent. It is close to the main train station and there are a few strip clubs up the street so the outside noise went through most of the night. Closing the windows worked well to keep the noise out.

Good choice in several ways.

Very close to the train station and only about 10 minutes to Marienplatz. Our room was large, with lots of storage and a big bathroom. An alcove served as a makeup station, or would also be a great desk. We enjoyed their generous breakfast one morning of our stay. The desk staff as exceptionally helpful, and even printed out our revised rail schedule for us.

Very well located within Munich City Centre and 2minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel is well maintained and the room I was allocated towards the back of the hotel was very spacious, comfortable and clean. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a sick person who needed to get to their room and the front desk took no account and required 15 minutes for check-in process. Then accused us of having three people in our room instead of two, because a friend helped us get the sick person to their room. When I asked what time I should arrange a cab for my morning flight, this same person told me he could estimate that until he knew the traffic the morning of my flight. Then he explained I had to schedule the cab a day in advance. What a difficult person!

The DL is a clean and affordable hotel located very near the central station. There is local road construction that made us have to search for access to the hotel though we knew where it was. Service was good and its location is very good. There are numerous dining opportunities in the neighbourhood that span from simple cafes to higher end dining.

Had air conditioning but it didn’t really work so the room was always hot. In a strange block that I wouldn’t recommend. An employee knocked three times on our door at 8:45 in the morning but not sure what he needed. Close to the train station was a plus. They wouldn’t let us check in too early but would hold our luggage.

The property was okay overall, check in was excellent as we could check in when we arrived at 11am, room and bathroom was a good size. The service of the staff was excellent and the location was really convenient to the station and not a far walk from the main square and in the day they leave out fresh pastries for guests which was a nice touch

However the beds were uncomfortable, the AC was so bad and only cooled the area directly under it, the room wasn’t filthy but it wasn’t really clean either. The area felt a little unsafe as it seemed we were on the edge of the ghetto and was quite busy but we are right next to the station so expected I suppose

I wouldn’t really rate it as a 4 star either

The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast, a cook makes custom omelettes for you which I thought was a great touch, plenty of options, decent breakfast. Down point- no kettle or tea coffee facilities in rooms. Also hallways are very poorly maintained, need to be re carpeted and painted. Good location, but AC shuts off after 2 hours?
