We have a 6 month old baby and this was the perfect place to stay with all the things we needed.
The staff gave us a free bed for the baby, extra towels and the room had microwave and water boiler that we needed for the milk bottles. Plus the room is big enough to lie down on the floor a few blankets for the baby to play.

The hotel is 15 mins walking distance to the city center and 7 minutes to the main train station.

Staff is nice and available.

Hotel in general has a great cool design and smells well + room and common spaces are very clean.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great! Room and bathroom were spotless, kitchenette area was small and cute, enough for us to make quick breakfast in the morning. The central heating system was amazing, very well maintained temperature throughout.
The apartment is only 7-10mins away from the central station. Lots of shops on the way.Felt safe to walk.
We had an amazing time staying.

The young lady was from Ukraine and the man was from Portugal. They were exceptional. Great location near the city center. Some might be put off by the arabic neighborhood, but it was perfectly safe.

I booked this hotel for its location near the Oktoberfest venue, which is definitely convenient. But beyond that, the experience didn’t match the high price.

Room amenities and bed linens are only refreshed every 7 days—apparently for environmental reasons. While I appreciate sustainability, this felt more like cost-cutting than eco-friendly service. Communication with staff is only through WhatsApp, which isn’t ideal if you need quick help.

The bathroom was a major issue. Water didn’t drain properly, and I had to keep turning the tap on and off every few seconds during my shower to avoid flooding the floor. It was stressful, not relaxing.

There’s no air-conditioning, so I had to open the window for ventilation. Unfortunately, guests were dining and drinking outside until midnight, and their conversations echoed into my room—making sleep difficult.

Spacious rooms for a European hotel. Five minutes walk to Oktoberfest and 15-20 min to Old City. The bar and courtyard were a great place to wind down after long days. Great water pressure from the rain shower and handheld spigots. Plenty of strange and well stocked kitchenette.

The hotel is great, and the staff is very helpful. Rooms are quite large and have a small kitchen area. Be aware that there is not daily housekeeping, but you can ask for clean towels, etc. when needed. The upside of this location is that it was super close to Oktoberfest - literally a 5 minute walk! It's also very close to the train station.The downside of the location is that it's not a great area of Munich.I would not feel safe in this area if I were out alone at night.

The property is clean and comfortable. Although the hob and microwave/oven are top of the line it took me 2 days to figure out how to use it. I never mastered the hob or the dishwasher. There were no instructions in the room, but when requested a link was sent to me on WhatsApp for a video. No phone in the room, just use WhatsApp. The bathroom was also clean and modern, but if you use your own toileteries (shampoo & conditioner) the drain could not cope and the bathroom flooded. Drains ok if hotel toileteries used. The communal areas also clean and well kept. It's worth noting that in Munich the supermarkets and shops are mostly closed, so stock up on other days.

The location of the hotel is perfect for the ubahn and central station, it's worth going to the central station and asking about the best tickets on offer, until you get used to using the ticket machines.

Really loved our stay here. Location was good but the room was lovely, clean, a good size, comfy bed and nice modern decor. Amenities in the room were good, they’d thought of everything, even having a little magnet to put over the light on the microwave at night! It was also so quiet, didn’t hear anything from fellow travellers or much noise from the street despite it being busy and the height of summer so rooms must have been well sound proofed.

The hotel itself was excellent and we knew it was about a 25 minute walk to the central plaza. Our only complaint was that it is in a very noisy Turkish, arabic/middle eastern part of town, and as two females travelling, there were catcalls and stares as we walked through.. we didn't always feel super safe.

Had the breakfast on the final day and it was delicious. All rooms are extremely spacious and refreshing. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly before use.

All staff are friendly; extremely educated on the terms of your stay and intelligent with their flare for languages. The hotel itself is located a beautiful 25 minute walk from Marienplatz and very well connected in terms of location to S- and U-Bahn lines. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore Münic.

I have stayed in Locke hotels before, and I appreciate being able to make myself at home. After so much traveling and eating out, it's nice to be able to cook and make tea for oneself.

My room was well appointed, but it wasn't perfectly clean. The bedding and towels were clean, but there was a lot of dust under the bed and I found a candy wrapper stuffed behind the couch and another one under the TV. I had hoped to be able to use the laundry facility, but I think they need to change the rules. Each time I went down, there was nobody in the laundry room and yet every machine was running and there were piles of wet clothes. I don't know if these are clothes other people took out of the wash to put their own in--but whatever was happening I was unable to use the laundry during my entire stay.

The neighborhood was also a bit random. I could easily walk to the metro station and grocery store, which was convenient, but it wasn't the type of neighborhood where I wanted to walk alone at night. There were always a bunch of men lining up outside all the shops smoking and drinking. Most of Munich's most famous sites are a 20 minute walk away.

I recommend this hotel if you want the convenience of the kitchen and are willing to sacrifice not being in the perfect location.

Best shower ever, lovely clean bathroom and a pleasant balcony area (€40 extra.) On the brilliant Landwehrstraße with the delicious Mauerer bakery at one end with well-priced pretzel sandwiches. Easy to find due to St Paul'ls cathedral at the other end right by Schwan Locke. Easy access via Theresienwiese U-bahn (metro station.)

Management was responsive and tried to fix it the next day, but unfortunately it couldn’t be resolved in our timeframe. Pros:
- very friendly and helpful staff
- funky design and very functional with tv, couch area, balcony and table, oven and microwave in the kitchen
- LOVED the sustainability credentials - entire building in Munich ran on renewable energy AND provided EV charging stations for a fully green experience, had energy efficient lighting, water conservation and recycling. As a traveller that prioritises sustainability and a sustainability consultant I was very impressed.
- this is so minor but has bothered me in the past: the little light on the oven has kept me awake in other hotels before and the team had a little sticker put over it which I thought was super thoughtful and shows they genuinely care about a good sleep experience. But more on that below.

Cons:
- (as was common across Germany) the bed and pillows were hard, uncomfortable and unsupportive. Germany - get your act together on bedding! I’d recommend SL invest in some premium pillows and mattress toppers with memory foam or bamboo as cheap alternatives to upgrading the whole bed. Quality bedding is so essential for travellers - especially ones working remotely!
- location: I didn’t love the location. It was helpful to be 10-15 mins walk to the central station for day trips but the area doesn’t have much going for it. Not particularly aesthetically appealing / historic and a bit dingey. That said if the bedding was upgraded I would stay here again.

This is a wonderful modern and clean hotel that packs a lot of comfort into their room. Check-in was friendly and efficient, and they had amenities that we really appreciated like a complimentary laundry room and gym. The rooms had cute little terraces that were perfect for enjoying our morning coffee that we made in our well equipped kitchenette. It is conveniently located to the train station, and a bit of a walk to the tourist attractions but we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book another stay here.

It is near the train/bus station. The staff is nice. They let me check in early in the morning for a 30-euro fee. Laundry is on the premises for free. The gym has all the necessary equipment. It is located not far from Munich Central Station and quite convenient to take a tram to get to other places. Check in at 4pm is kind of late. We arrived at 9am, managed to keep our luggage at a friend's room who came a day before. Hotel is located in the Arabian or Turkish area that if you like Donar or other Middle Easten food; then, it is a place for you.

Excellent stay - I had stayed in Locke hotel Lisbon previously and loved the vibe so wanted to try this one out. Very central and close to both city centre and central station. Spacious flat with good amenities, comfortable bed, yoga mat, kitchenette. Smart TV and lounge area. Very friendly and helpful staff - only thing that sadly was a disappointment was the restaurant food. I had high expectations as the food in Lisbon was first class but the carbonara in Bambula was tasteless and an odd texture - would not recommend eating here based on this which is sad as the restaurant and bar decor is lovely

We selected Schwan Locke per great reviews to be near an event close to the area and we were very pleased with our choice! The staff and rooms were amazing! Very cool vibe, super easy garage parking if you have a car, and great accommodations. The suite we stayed in had a great little kitchen and a super fun banquet for in-room meals or games. Amazing HUGE terrace provides great outdoor space and a nice view! The walk to shopping and old town is about 18 minutes so very convenient. I would stay here again!

Room was spacious, comfortable, clean. Nice to have kitchenette which was fully equipped. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Slightly awkward to access gym through parking garage.

Great hotel! AMAZING Rooftop Deck Room!

Great hotel and AMAZING Rooftop Deck Room! Also Dejan was GREAT! He helped us so much with laundry, service, and when my wife became ill our last night, he helped and got us sparkling water for her stomach. The Rooftop Terrace rooms are killer!!! Room 602 was AWESOME!!! GREAT location for October Fest or any event at the October Fest grounds, the Theresienwiese. Also great grocery stores 8 minute walk, and the subway is 1/2 block away! The restaurant had zero gluten free options, and is owned by a 3rd party. Overpriced drinks at the bar, but good service.

Great staff and location for Christmas Markets!

We wanted to be close to the Christmas Markets in Marienplatz, which was 2 train stops away from us. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves walking distance to Tollwood, a more hip and non-traditional Christmas Market with lots of food tents, cirque acts, live music, and more. The staff at Schwan Locke was very welcoming, and they even hosted a free opera night in the courtyard, which we enjoyed from our room's balcony. It was chilly in our room, so the hotel gave us a heater for the week, which helped a lot. We liked being right around the corner from a train station, but it was just as easy to order an Uber at the front door.
