Loved it and all the new additions. The only thing I don’t like is the price is pretty steep for only 4 hours to play in the water park. Check in is at 4pm and the pools at the new waterpark close at 8pm. It should be open at least 3pm to 10pm for what we’re paying for a room.

The room was clean adequately, the staff was helpful, fun, and kind. The lifeguards were diligent and took initiative to have kids follow the rules. The waterpark was definitely the highlight of our trip! It was clean, plenty of seating options with tables, and had things to do for all ages.

Chair in the room was full of food and cereal…gross Kids running around, screaming up and down the halls at all hours…everywhere.. which I guess is expected with a water park…front desk staff was a joke…rude…check in at 4:00 no earlier…check out at 11:00, not a minute late or they charge you another $100 for late check out. Bavarian Inn has really gotten petty with what they do and you can see they are absolutely money, hungry just getting people in and out like cuddle and they’ve lost their touch with customer service. We had a seminar in the building that started at 8 AM and ended at 12:30 and they would not budge with a checkout. Soooo everyone had to leave the seminar early and miss the last hour and a half because we had to check out. The other option would be to wake everybody up and kick them out at a The other option would be to wake everybody up and kick them out at 8 AM and let them sit in the lobby while I’m in a seminar all day…Absolutely a joke. We will not stay there again. There are so many other hotels in Frankenmuth that are clean and professional and courteous.

I am beyond angry with our experience at Bavarian Inn, and this issue is not over — we will be speaking with management tomorrow.

My family doesn’t have much time, so when we finally take a vacation, we expect the absolute bare minimum: a clean room and basic respect. We normally stay at Splash Village, which is clean, organized, and has friendly staff. We chose Bavarian Inn this time and instantly regretted it.

At check-in, we were told that because we booked through an outside site, our problems were basically not their concern. Then they handed us a room that was filthy — clearly never cleaned from the previous guests. Dirty room, dirty sheets, and zero quality control. Completely unacceptable.

The waterpark closes at 8 PM. We checked in at 4 PM and lost over an hour of our already limited time while they “figured it out.” When an employee finally brought a new key, his attitude was unbelievable. He actually said, “I don’t know what you want me to do. I already gave you a new room,” and then offered free mini golf like that was some kind of favor. That’s not compensation — that’s an insult.

I was with my family and didn’t want to cause a scene, but that doesn’t mean this was handled correctly. I didn’t take the golf or anything else. I just tried to salvage what was left of the trip — which never should have happened in the first place.

We will be speaking with management tomorrow because this level of service is unacceptable. If you’re planning a trip to Frankenmuth,

I think for the price you have to pay, the food quality should be a little better. Also, if you booked a room and have a sleeping baby in stroller coming from water park, they shouldn’t be so strict over towels. They made me wake my baby to unwrap him from his towel to leave the waterpark area and go back to our room.

Very expensive but the place is impressive. Huge indoor water park. Hotel is clean, room was clean, and all of the staff there are very nice people. The water park was included in the room & board but the ropes course cost extra. The only downside was the beds were not comfortable (the mattresses were very firm) and the HVAC was quite loud. The furnace was in a closet right by the window, and each time that thing kicked on during the night it woke us all up. So, we all got segmented sleep during each night we were there. All in all, the place is worth going to. Our room cost $352.50 per night, but that may have been because it was on President's day that we were all there. I'd go again if they offer a better deal per night. Downtown Frankenmuth is a short walk across a covered bridge from there, so it's in a great location. We only had food at the hotel one night, at the sandwich restaurant at the water park. Food was good and reasonably priced, but we didn't get drinks because it cost $5 per cup with no refills. I got the kielbasa, my wife and one son got smash burgers, and my other son got a cheeseburger. I think there are multiple restaurants there, but we bought food at Kroger that we brought in; probably more healthy that way. That water park is what makes the place fun; you can spend hours there, we sure did.

Everything was fun and clean. Was bummed the lazy River was closed for our stay but understandable. The price of food and drinks is a bit steep. $26 for one pizza. $26 for one drink and one beer is a lot so we only spent 10 minutes in the swim up bar. Free coffee and cheaper games in the morning for a hour was a plus. The hours for the waterpark were a little frustrating as kids are up early but we made it work! Thanks Bavarian!

I made my reservation and somehow it only accounted for 2 of my 4 kids on Expedia and there was a miscommunication. After trying to find a resolution, the lady at the front desk got a supervisor and was able to straighten it out. I felt terrible about the situation because I had filled everything out stating I had 4 kids. I think that part was an error on Expedia - not the hotel.

But unfortunately, this stay was extremely unpleasant. After the girl at the desk was able to help me, and I was going to leave her a fantastic review

The room was clean, the bathroom was small, but overall not bad. The food at the ratskellar restaurant was not good. The food at Oma’s was average. We also went to the Bavarian In. Restaurant in town and did not have a good experience. The hostess was rude, the setup was confusing. We asked for a booth and was told no we don’t have any… when we walked into the restaurant there were 4-5 empty booths and they remained empty the whole time we were there. The prices were very elevated $16 for appetizers was a bit much for the quality of the food. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant there were different menus for different tables?? Some had only the family style chicken dinners and others had burgers, some had the lunch menus and some had dinner menus…. Just all over the place.

Amenities were amazing , waterpark was worth it . My whole family had fun there for our early Christmas . I wish the waterpark was open earlier as my
Toddler is up at 7 AM and the waterpark doesn’t open until 10.
Also another thing , which was not the hotels fault at all , but the room next to us was extremely loud , sounds like they were celebrating a birthday but at 1AM they had music blasting and singing . I did call the front desk who came , and afterwards it was silent there

We spent two nights at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, and overall we were really happy with our stay! The location is great; right beside the River Place Shops, and the building itself is massive, with tons to do: multiple pools, water slides, arcades, games, and even a huge indoor waterpark. It’s an awesome spot for families.

We loved the Bavarian theming and architecture throughout the lodge. Service was solid too; everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a very comfy bed, plus a mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, and a couch. You also get a bunch of coupons for activities in the area, which is a great bonus.

One thing we really appreciated was the adults-only section, a quieter area with a pool, hot tub, and a billiards table. Perfect for unwinding after busy days exploring Frankenmuth.

Overall, a super enjoyable stay and somewhere we’d happily return to.

I like the idea of this hotel more than the reality. I went with my 2 sisters for a girls weekend. We tried to use the “adults only” pool and hot tub, but the pool was too cold and the hot tub was at capacity with only FIVE people already in it, so we went to the big hot tub. It was Sunday night so we hoped there wouldn’t be too many kids. There were still a handful of kids at 9pm on Sunday night, but it wasn’t too bad, however, the water was only lukewarm and the chemicals burned our eyes. After that we went to our rooms for a bad night’s sleep on beds that were too small for 2, and really bouncy moving every time someone shifted position. We had breakfast at Oma’s which was pretty good tasting, but overpriced. A side of fruit is 9.50 and the $5 hot cocoa was tiny. Sadly, I don’t think we will stay there again. It might be fine for a family trip with small children and a king size bed.

I booked the same size room as last year for our Anniversary.
I even ordered a bottle of wine with 2 glasses as a surprise and the front staff blurted out here are your charges for the wine you ordered !
So no surprise there
Last year the room was very large and spacious and cost me over $800 Canadian
This year same size room and cost , but the room was a standard king size room with a very tiny bathroom where the door almost contacts the toilet .
My wife was upset with ME because l booked it and when l brought this to the attention of the front desk l was told nothing they can do …… they were sold out.
They also mentioned because l ordered my stay through a third party ( Expedia) that Expedia doesn’t show proper room sizes and info is lacking , but same reservations as last year just a different outcome for some reason this year.
I feel l overpaid for a standard room and would never pay over $800 Canadian for a 2 night stay in a standard king size room.
This ruined my Anniversary stay and will not take a chance and return as l do not trust that l will be receiving what l am paying for .
I’d like an explanation of why this occurred and why l paid so much for a “ plain” smaller room .
