Excellent nearby restaurants Athena for Greek, San Bello Italian and Baal tapas/pub. Quite far from oldtown so used the subway which was good. Deep and slippery tub with nothing to hold onto, no coffee/tea in room but otherwise nice hotel. Breakfast was good.

The staff were super friendly. The room and hotel was really clean and in a lovely neighborhood that was walkable to a few places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was also good i’m definitely a perk for that fresh coffee readily available.. the bed was fantastic and that it wasn’t ultrasoft but more on the firm side so I definitely appreciated that. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Munich.

The Hotel is nicely appointed, located in a quiet, residential area. The street lighting is a bit low at night but I always felt safe (even as a single woman walking alone when I was back late).
Our room was a good size.. the bed & quilt were lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small but ok.. a mention regarding the screen to deflect the water from the shower head.. it is a bit short so we often ended up with a very wet floor mat. The breakfast (2 rooms to accommodate overflow) was good.. hot items, cold meats/cheeses, fruit, pastries.. a tureen with coffee at your table & the hot chocolate was great! It would be nice to have proper cereal not the dusty oat kind as it’s a bit dry. There is a nice Greek restaurant The Athena (walkable 10-12 mins) very good lots of food and reasonable.. otherwise not much else around. The local train station (Stiglmaierplatz) is just around the corner (10mins walk) and 1 stop to the Central Hauptbahnhof and 2-3 stops to lively Marienplatz (depending on where u get off) we exited Sendlinger Tor a nice walk in with lots to see and do. Check your prices there is a €9 day pass all transports.. you may only need single tickets up to 4 stops for €2 (ck so not wasting money!). Allow approx 70-75mins walking from the Hotel to the train Stn switch at Hbf and to MUC Apt €16.70 p/p one way.. quick and convenient.. A nice stay. Thanks

Really nice quiet hotel. The staff was very attentive. The rooms were excellent and very quiet. There were a few small things missing. It would have been nice to have a tea kettle or coffee maker in the room, there was body soap but no shampoo, and there was no hand lotion. But overall, the hotel was very comfortable.

Wifi signal rather weak in the room, seems due it being at the end of the corridor, wifi signal was fine in other areas of the hotel. Still, staff provided alternatives like switching to a room with a better signal.

Just adding some wifi signal repeaters and it would be solved.

A great find

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was in a quiet street, but a 5 minute walk to the underground and only one stop from the main train station. It's so easy to travel on public transport in Munich. The staff were lovely and friendly at the hotel and there was a great selection for breakfast.

It was a bit dated but clean and valued for money.

Overall it was a good stay. However, on the first morning at 8am, a cleaning MALE staff opened my door and turned the light on with the Do Not Disturb sign on. It made my rest of the stay very insecure as a female.

I did mention this to the receptionist and I hope it won't happen again to other customers.

Hotelli sijaitsee erittäin rauhallisella alueella, mutta silti siitä oli todella lyhyt matka keskustaan. Lähin metroasema 3 min kävelymatkan päässä ja metromatka siitä päärautatieasemalle kestää 3 min. Hotellihuone oli oikein siisti. Hotellin luokitus 4 tähteä, mutta ehkä 3,5 ois osuvampi. Henkilökunta ok. Samoin aamiainen. Lähellä olevan kirkon kellot soivat usein, mutta loppuivat onneksi aina iltaysin aikoihin. Ilmastointia en käyttänyt, ikkunaa pidin välillä auki ja hiljaista oli! Voisin hyvinkin yöpyä täällä seuraavallakin kerralla.

A great hotel all around. Bonus that we we were able to check in extra early. Stayed for a week and enjoyed the free daily breakfast that had everything from bacon and eggs, to cereal and pastries and sausages. Comfortable and clean room. Service was great too. About a 10 minute easy walk to underground station. Highly recommend.

Great rooms with very comfortable beds and duvets and a breakfast that was perfectly sufficient.
Some mornings had rather slow breakfast staff that made me feel invisible (no offer of coffee and none on the table after passing me 20 times each time avoiding eye contact) but all quick enough once you firmly assert yourself.

The one major problem was that the WIFI didn't work in the room. My devices said the WIFI was on a channel that was competing with many other WIFI's. Only the slightest trace of a single bar - occasionally. If you need WIFI to work, then this is not a hotel for you.

I thought the room itself was very good. And the proximity to the metro was fine.

The hotel is in a good location and has great staff. Check in was quick and we were actually allowed into our room a couple hours early. This was super helpful since we had just come in from an international flight. The room was very quiet! There is a good breakfast with attentive staff. Housekeeping super quick and our room was clean and comfy. Unfortunately we had poor wifi.
You will be near church bells and they are very loud, but do not ring during the night.
There is a big step up into tub which might be an issue for older or less nimble visitors.

Lovely place, great foos, no wifi

An absolutely lovely hotel not far from the city centre. Me and my daughter visited enroute our inter raio trip.
Clean, neat and lovely modern rooms. Loved the balcony_styled windows and made full use during the day.
Breakfast is superb! I cannot commend the chef and staff enough, the options are excellent and i especially loved the cold meat and egg salad.
Only negative with the place is poor wifi as i didnt get any durong the stay and both me and my daughter had to use packet data.
Also, if youre someone from a tea or coffee loving place where tea/coffee facilities come with the room, you'd be disappointed. There is no kettle in the room.
Otherwise, an impeccable place.

It was great! The best part is the breakfast in the garden. So peaceful and cozy! They have a great selection of local pastries and other food items. It was really the highlight. The only thing that needs improvement is the weak wifi signal. We got a corner room (which was great bc it gave us many windows for great view) but the room was too far from the router to receive good signal. Other than that, everything was great. It was also close to a lot of local restaurants and bars. And easy walk to the train station.

If i would have to pick the best and the worst point:
Absolut top is the breakfast! Not only the quality of pruducts but also the very welcoming and kind staff!
Not top? I struggle to find something!

My son and i loved those 4 days in Munich, not only, but also because of the hotel!

Apart from the rather small boxed parking underground lots - everything is perfect in this hotel.
Unfortunately, there is no street parking in this area possible one has to rely on the hotel facilities. No problems with compact cars but larger cars hardly fit.

Great for Oktoberfest (if you book Superior room)

This hotel is the perfect location for visiting Oktoberfest - it was an easy flat 15 min walk away in a safe neighbourhood. The same applies if you want to use the train to get into the city or airport.

The reception staff were fantastic and gave good guidance. We also appreciated they accommodated us by speaking English.

It is very hard to find parking around the hotel so we also really appreciated they allowed us to park in their basement while we checked in with our bags before returning the hire car.

The rating is for the Superior Room. We initially booked the basic room which was fine on first appearance. However, the air conditioning in that room did not work. We were so hot in the room at night (even with no clothes and blankets on and it being only 5 degrees outside). After raising this issue with reception and the hotel not being able to fix the issue, we were swapped to a superior room which was spacious and has fantastic air conditioning.

The buffet breakfast was lovely and had good variety.

Location was a bit far away from old town center and train station. Would not advise this if convenience is important to you. We did learn to use the metro to get around, but walking would have been our preference.
Also, the first room we had looked directly out on construction. After being awakened by it our first morning, we asked for a room change and were promptly accommodated. Loved the second room.
Also be advised, wi-fi can be sketchy. Had okay signal in first room, but almost none in second. More boosters need to be installed.
One further item, tub/shower combo could be very difficult for elderly people, or those with movement or balance issues, to enter and exit.

Overall very good stay at this boutique hotel with nice ambience and very spacious rooms. There is only one lift but it is a small hotel so not much issue. There is no parking in the lane being somewhat narrow, but also good nice walk around the area. Underground is about half kilometer away and supermarkets about 15-20 minutes walk. There is a bakery very close and even an Indian restaurant just 10 minutes walk.

Stayed there last year and was impressed with the size of the room. This time, the room was much smaller and appeared a bit worn ( scraped edges on the furniture, flat cushion on the room chair, wall paper slightly peeling off the wall). Construction across the street...noisy at 7am.

Good location in a residential area with a major street a block away. Only noise was the construction across the street as of Dec 2018. Free breakfast (yummy) and wifi made it a stay with no issues. Will stay again in the future! Public transportation and Uber made getting around Munich easy. 25 minute walk to the city center, Loewenbrau brewery is a 5 min walk.

The location was decent for the price. I liked that breakfast was included. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the Marienplatz. You can take public transportation - 21 tram, or the underground - but we walked in the way to the main plaza since it was sunny outside.

We ate at Augustiner-Keller for the first night. The restaurant is only a few blocks away and had a very energetic atmosphere. It’s one of the large beer halls that serves Bavarian food for a reasonable price.

We downloaded the Rick Steves app and used the walking tour explore the city. The app is free, so I would highly recommend it. You can go at your own place. We also found Eataly in case you’re a fan.
