You must pre-pay for the breakfast that most hotels offer for free. And it’s not that great. Air conditioners aren’t the typical kind we have in the states. My room needed updating like a new paint job and carpet cleaning. But overall it’s a decent hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast. I loved the lack of miniature products in the bathroom - having refillable shower gel, etc is very eco friendly.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't working during our stay, which made the room uncomfortable to sleep in.

Family trip for the Christmas markets

7 of us stayed here for a weekend visit to the Christmas markets. The service is great and the rooms are spacious. The pillows are extremely soft with some of us struggling to sleep on them.

The shower got blocked in one of our rooms and it turned out after maintenance had been that the plughole hadn't been fully cleaned which isn't great but was only a blip on an otherwise great stay.

There's a Lidl up the road, a bus stop and burger place right outside the hotel. We had rented a car, parking at the hotel is €15 a night which is steep however if you're lucky you can find parking on the road which is free.

Would stay here again.

The rooms were nice but hot and the only way to cool off was by opening a window with no screen which let in all kinds of bugs and we had to move to another room. Had to sleep without clothes because it was so hot in the room! The Aroma Therapy Shower was nice and Breakfast was amazing though!

The hotel is 10 mins away from the UBahn and a 14 minute ride to the Bahnhof. With that said, this was a very clean and well organized hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our one night stay.

This is my go to hotel when in Munich for business. It’s near the subway only a 5 minute walk. There is an amazing beer garden 1 block away. The hotel is modern, clean, and convenient. The rooms are very small so this is better for solo travel.

Hotel located far from the city in less save area and walk to the train station takes 15 mins. Didn't feel save arriving to the hotel after 11pm neither when was coming back from the city between 9-10pm. Generally food in a restaurant is a good quality. Double bed is made from 2 singles pooled together with space in the middle (who love double bed when you have a row in the middle?!)and 2 single duvets ( if you are a couple 2 single duvets are not great, no difference to twin room). Wouldn't stay there again, there are better hotels and cheaper in a safer neighborhood.

Clean, smart and modern hotel clearly aimed at the business market. Poor location for tourists with nearest U-Bahn/S-Bahn stops a good 10-15 minute walk (though bus stops were closer). Hotel itself was fine in the way all of those business market type hotels are, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and tastefully decorated though lacking any real character. Perfectly adequate but not exceptional.

Bus 53 at the doorstep (every 10 min), U3, U6, S7 easily reachable either by 53 bus or by foot. Lidl, Aldi, Penny, pubs and restaurants closeby.

Never again! Had to change rooms due to a broken sink; waited 8 hours for someone to fix it before we demanded to change rooms. New room was two twin beds (not ideal for a couple), bed sheets had holes. Fire alarm went off at 1.10am for no reason, whole hotel evacuated. No explanation was given to English speaking guests, as the front desk workers only gave instruction in German. Hotel room card didn’t work once we were allowed back in the hotel. No one at the front desk to help with this issue

Nice hotel, clean and well maintained and friendly staff. The beds are a typical two twins pushed together so not the most comfortable bed type but common in Europe. The bath and bedroom were a little too small for us. Breakfast was expensive so we got food at a local store that was nearby. Lots to do in and around Munich with the subway just a few blocks southwest (not labeled well for us Americans - it was actually off a dirt path).

Good find in Munich South

Very nice, clean and modern rooms, friendly staff, and the highlight for us was the restaurant - really exceptionally tasty food for dinner and breakfast. Lots of parking in a parkhaus next to the hotel. Only negative is that the room was too hot and changing the temperature on the \"climate control\" made no difference.

This hotel was nice but it was very far from the city center and main attractions. The nearest train is a 15-20 minute walk and then it's about 8 stops to the Marienplatz. It's a lot of train riding going anywhere. They were friendliest in the hotel's restaurant where I ate breakfast. The front desk people were not very friendly or nice in my opinion. I would not stay in this location if I were to return because it was too far away from everything. I did take an Uber from hotel to the city center and it was about 13 euros each way.

We recently stayed for a week in this hotel.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and have a good grasp of languages.
The hotel itself is well enough away from the city centre, but easily accessible by the Metro. It doesn't take long at all to reach the Munich sites. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the nearest Metro station (Aidenbachstr., train U3).
The room is exactly as in the photos. Simply decored, clean and efficient as a base.
We will likely use Leonardo hotels again in the future, as they are spreading around the globe.

This hotel was great. Very new and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are tiny, but if you're spending enough time in your room to notice it, then you're doing vacation wrong! Didn't give it five stars because 1. The bed wasn't that great and 2. The location is fine but about 30 mins and two trains from the main areas. Overall totally worth the value and would stay again!

Good location in new and upcoming neighborhood

The Leonardo was in south Munich in a newer neighborhood. It is a newer hotel and has all the modern amenities of new construction. It seemed like a lot of other new construction in the area with a mix of professionals and families. Great access to busses and U-Bahn station. Stores and restaurants were nearby. A block away is the Augustiner Beer Garden one of the best in the city, Of course fee wifi is always a plus.

Affordable and Beautiful Hotel near transportation

Our stay was great! I felt very welcome and the front desk helped us with all of our questions. Luckily a U-Bahn station was just two blocks away, which was only a 5-minute walk. We had no problem getting to the city center and the main train station. I was a little disappointed with their wifi, though. They only allowed free wifi without streaming capabilities. It was then stated that you could purchase the premium wifi for 6 Euro a day or 19 Euros for a week, but when I asked to purchase it they said it was not available.

Wir haben nur übernachtet, ohne Frühstück. Zimmer, war alles okay, würden wiederkommen. Aber parken viel zu teuer und Bad zu klein.
Wenn man auf die Zimmerreinigung verzichtet bekommt man einen Getränke-Gutschein je Zimmer für die Bar. Gute Sache, aber wie wäre es mit Gutschein für 2 Getränke pro Zimmer? Wenn man zu zweit dort übernachtet.

Das Ende unseres Aufenthaltes war positiv. Die vierte Nacht unserer Buchung wurde kostenfrei storniert. Dafür danken wir. Der Start war ebenfalls positiv. Wir hatten einen herzlichen Empfang mit vielen Tipps und Anregungen. Alles dazwischen entsprach leider nicht unseren Erwartungen. Die Zimmer sind ähnlich klein wie in einem Motel One. Nur, dass das Badezimmer noch kleiner ist. Wir haben uns aber bewusst für ein 4 Sterne Hotel entschieden, um bei 5 Tagen Aufenthalt mehr Komfort zu haben. Dazu kamen leider große Probleme bei der Sauberkeit. Schimmel und Silberfische. Das größte Problem war aber der offensichtliche Personalmangel. Unser Zimmer wurde erst abends gereinigt. Live erlebt um 20 Uhr! Die beiden Damen waren offensichtlich allein für das ganze Hotel zuständig. Das dann die Qualität der Reinigung leidet kann man bei allem Ärger darüber sogar nachvollziehen. Darüberhinaus war an Sylvester und am 01.01. die Bar sowohl im eigenen Hotel als auch im Schwesterhotel gegenüber geschlossen, was dann schon fast nebensächlich ist. Für uns war das unter anderem aber mit ein Grund für die Buchung. Eine Info dazu gab es einen Tag vor Anreise in der Highseason. Vielen Dank! Frau Auer an der Rezeption war dann alleine( auch hier fehlte wohl Personal) die Leidtragende an der Rezeption. Sie hat die Aufgabe trotz der Umstände verbindlich und freundlich gemeistert.

Ich hatte das Comfort Doppelzimmer gebucht. Das Zimmer ist genau wie auf den Bildern. Das Hotel ist ebenfalls wie auf den Bildern. Man kann in der Nähe kostenlos parken (in der Nähe eines Parkhauses um die Ecke). Das Zimmer war auch sauber und angenehm. Daher kann ich dieses Hotel empfehlen.

Leider war der Balkon nicht sauber. Frühstück war sehr gut. Auswahl groß. Geschmacklich sehr gut und auch ein schönes Speisesaal. An der Hotelbar leider keine Cocktails.
