Reception staff friendly upon my early arrival. I was able to store my luggage safely until check-in time. Room was clean. Hair dryer was missing from my room, but reception was prompt to have one brought to my room. I have stayed here several times and will continue to do so. Thank you.

The room was spotless, extremely well equipped and very centrally located. Just a 5 minute walk to Lidl and the S-Bahn station. There was no issue at all cooking in the apartment and getting into Munich to sight-see.

The basic room is quite small but cleverly designed. We found the bed uncomfortable and after 5 nights both had bad backs. It’s sort of on the floor on one side. Our room also smelt mouldy quite often and there was a bad drainage smell downstairs on the reception level. On the positive side it’s cheap and close to the Metro/city.

Being able to do your laundry in the room was a huge bonus and major reason for me choosing this hotel as it was part of a longer trip and I knew I would need to do laundry. I had a fantastic experience staying at Wunderlocke. It was my first time visiting anywhere in Europe, and it was nearly impossible to find any sort of problems with the accommodations at this stay. An extremely friendly and helpful staff at the bar and reception, and the rooms are incredibly clean with plenty of amenities. You really can’t beat the price of what you’re getting here, and the location makes it extremely convenient for public transportation around the city via the U-Bahn or bus. We love the Wunderlocke! This is our second stay, in apartments with a different layout than last time, and we were perfectly comfortable and pleased with the accommodations. As I've mentioned before in my last review, the only area of improvement - - and it's small but important - - is that they add shower curtains. The bathrooms are modern and adequately equipped, but the shower is wide open and the entire bathroom floods, no matter how careful you are about angling the shower head.

The hotel is designed as a place for long-term stay. The kitchen was decently equipped and had an in-room washer/dryer. The space was tight for us but the kids enjoyed the loft bed. The hotel is located a little far from the city and will require some walking to get to the closest metro station. We liked everything about the hotel and the area though. The biggest downside of staying here was that there was no parking, not even for a fee. On day one, I had to park 1.5kms away from the hotel but I had better luck on day 2 and 3.

Flooring is a bit worn in places and a wooden stool in my room fell apart during my stay. The hotel uses some ghastly scent in the lobby and hallways which I found obnoxious, I would always hurry from the door of the room to get outside, the smell was quite unpleasant. Hotel is close to public transit, but there are very few choices in walking distance for food. The hotel was very clean and quiet.

The TV faced the kitchen and not the bed so you had to really crane yoir neck to watch the 2 or 3 enhlish channels..the rest were in German. I had initiallly booked 2 days and then wanted to extend two additional days but the system booked the same 2 days again for my wife and i. They refused to change the dates or provide a refund for the duplicate booking so we ended up.paying twice for the same two days and they would not budge. Horrible customer service by the head office. The people at the hotel front desk were fine people and helpful. The area is average. Far from the old town or any particular happening place. Had to use taxis and Uber to go anywhere so it was an expensive decision to stay there. Like $30 to $40 just to get to the main Munich old town, one way.
