The hotel is just by a metro station and a supermarket, so great location. Staff was nice and helpful. Reception closes at 8 PM, which almost caused us a big issue. Our passports were locked in a safe, but pin was not working. We needed a key. There was nobody to open the safe to us when we return to the hotel
At 9:30 PM. After a few phone calls to the HDQ team and talking to the people at the Indian restaurant next door, they figure out a way to open the safe and saved the day, orher use we would miss out flight at 3 am, since they don’t open until 7. The room was big and comfortable.

Close to underground station so easy access to city centre. Convenient parking under hotel. Clean room. Nice to have a balcony, and shutters on window. Very good restaurants (Indian next door and Italian nearby) and a supermarket close by.

Beds had quite hard matresses and awful pillows, so not comfortable.The curtain fell off when we closed it! The bathroom was a bit smelly. Very hot room (to be fair the temperature was particularly high when we stayed) and while we were grateful for the fan the room was very hot and the fan was noisy.

Not clean - One of our comforters was very dirty and stained. When we tried to get a replacement, we were told the housekeeping staff went home and we had to wait until the next day for clean products. That was not good customer service.

Noisy - There is a restaurant entrance below our room which put a table outside so there was a lot of loud talking, laughing and drinking until after midnight for two days in a row. We had to shut the windows to sleep, but that cut off the fresh air and the room was stuffy.

The room was clean, comfortable and fairly spacious, and the staff were very friendly, although we were not told how to get back into the building when reception was closed. Although the hotel is quite close to an U-Bahn station, it takes a while to get there from the centre which wasn’t always ideal. Still a comfortable, quiet place to stay though and would recommend this hotel.

The room was ok. Dishes weren’t properly done so had to redo them before using. There was also a dirty towel in our bathroom when we arrived, which wasn’t great. Overall the rest of the room was clean and comfortable. We traveled with our two kids (5 and 8) and it was a great set-up for us. Easy to access the subway (a 5 min walk) and organic grocery store and regular grocery store within walking distance as well.

Do not recommend! Booked this stay because listing had laundry listed but upon arriving, front desk Clerk Laura said no that’s not true. She didn’t offer any complication or help. Instead, she took a screen shot off the listing and later deleted that fact. I contacted hotels and they only offered me a credit towards a future visit. They also contacted Laura who agreed they don’t have laundry but no solution and no credit or refund. Additionally our room was directly above an Indian restaurant where it was noisy. People stood out front smoking which wafted straight up into our windows in addition to the street noise.

close to REWE grocery store..
Though upon checking-in the staff did not tell us that there is free coffee in the morning which we could have made our stay more nicer.
There is no air condition in the room, feels hot during the day, even when windows are open..

Great stay, good location.

We arrived to a very warm welcome. Check in was also quick and easy. We arrived at our room which was clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. We stayed 3 nights, it was a little over warm even with the heating off as we were on the second floor and the insulation was very good. I forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the door on our second morning and the very efficient room servicing team tried to come in at 08:30 whilst I was in the bathroom. I put the sign up that night and was not disturbed early again the day after. Great stay, very close to both the Erdinger and Augustina restaurants as well as the metro station. Great location and great breakfast too, we’ll be back again.

Schoenes Hotel mit nettem Team

Hotel ist gut gelegen (U-Bahn, Supermarkt, Restaurants) und auf der Strasse gibt's kostenlose Parkplaetze. Zimmer ist recht geraeumig (fuer angegebene qm Zahl) und hat eine Kueche mit Kuehlschrank und Microwelle, was insbesondere fuer Reisende mit Kleinkindern sehr praktisch ist. Eine kleine Terasse gabs auch, dafuer fehlten Essecke und Couch, die auf den Bildern gezeigt wurden. Bad und Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich. Matrazen waren weich und unbequem. Statt des bestellten Kinderbetts bekamen wir ein Beistellbett. Zum Glueck hatten wir ein Reisebett dabei.
Fruehstueck war gut und hat genug Abwechslung.

Very polite staff, Hotel needs improvements.

I was looking a hotel in a specific area in Munich and at that time it was the only one with available rooms for under 180 €. It cost me 90€. I wasn't expecting much but I was a bit disappointed. The first room I was given smelled like someone had smoked in there.
Then I was shown to an other room. The room it self was fine and spacious. The shower wasn't thoroughly cleaned and the water was not that hot. The doors are not soundproofed at all, in result, you can hear everything that's going on in the corridor.
I must point that both two receptionists I talk to were very professional, friendly and polite.
That was a plus point.

Oktoberfest Jumping Point.

Stayed here during Oktoberfest. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city, however one block from the U-Bahn (subway). Great staff and very helpful and rooms were excellent. Great overall value for the price. I will be staying here again. The only negative issue is parking. There is parking on the street as well as hotel provides underground parking for €12 euro/day but the turn to get down the ramp is rather tight, so if your not an experienced driver prepare for damage to your vehicle.

This was our first stop coming from the United States. We don't speak the language. The staff went out of their way to help us get settled and oriented. Very comfortable clean hotel, convenient to the metro. I would stay here again. I took a pic of the buffet. It was very pretty. But it comes in upside down.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Empress Hotel. The room for 4 guests was spacious and nice (two bedrooms upstairs, small kitchen and sitting room with TV downstairs). There is a 24 hr gas station/convenience shop, a Bier Garten next door, and the U Bahn is less than 2 blocks away. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Munich!

I stayed here for one night for a business visit. The room was very clean and very spacious. For a family this room would be perfect as it is like a small apartment with kitchen etc. For business purposes it is less well suited. They told to park on the street even though they were supposed to have parking. Breakfast was ok.

A GEM! Clean, modern, comfortable, quiet hotel!

With the new name (used to be Hotel am Klinkum), this hotel also got a great remodelling! The rooms are large, clean & furnished with new modern furniture. The location is outside the city center, but VERY easily reached from the U6 station Grosshadern. Neighborhood is quiet and great. Good restaurants near by as well as a grocery store. It was great for my business trip. I would also bring my family here as well since the rooms are large and there is a nice courtyard for spending some \"downtime\" outside. I recommend it to everyone, even at the risk of it becoming too popular!

Not for the lightest of sleepers.

The room was great overall, but the only issue I had was the room I was in absorbed all the noise. From the church bells going off at 0700 in the morning to the guest in the hallway unlocking and opening their doors to their rooms. I would recommend this place, it was nice overall, but pack some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

Si può parcheggiare in strada abbiamo sempre trovato posto.

Le uniche due note negative; il divano letto davvero troppo duro è stato doloroso dormirci e la tapparella della finestra sopra il divano letto che non oscurava assolutamente nulla. Un peccato perché le altre due finestre hanno le persiane.

Super war die Rezeption-sehr hilfsbereit etc.
Achtung bei der Einfahrt in die Garage 1. Tor holt sehr weit aus-wenn man durch das Fenster mit dem Schlüssel öffnet steht man zu nahe, dann Einfahrt sehr eng und glitschig. Hinterradantrieb sehr schwierig zu korrigieren!!!
Ansonsten mein Zimmer war geräumig unter dem Dach mit kleiner Terrasse. Sehr heiss, keine resp.nicht gute Verdunkelungsvorhänge, Klima bläst direkt aufs Bett, bei Hitze unter dem Dach sehr unangenehm. Safe war blockiert, im Badezimmer ein unangenehmer Geruch, oberflächlich aber sauber, Handtuchhalter 2/3 ausgerissen. Kein Duschmittel (Rezeption sofort korrigiert)Frühstück ok einfach bitte den Orangensaft mit weniger Wasser strecken. Mehr Zeit für die Details aufwenden vor allem bei der Putzabteilung, denke jedoch das ist dem Zeit-Spardruck vom Management geschuldet.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut zu Fuß von der U-Bahn zu erreichen (eigentlich nur schräg über die Straße). Alle an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig. Manche Möbel sind schon ein bißchen älter, was aber überhaupt nicht stört.

Besteck, Geschirr, Boden im Frühstücksbereich, Stühle dreckig. Habe es weitergegeben an die Empfangsdame, Sie meinte dass sie es weiter gibt. Abends war es sehr laut. Nur teils frisches Frühstück so wie Rühreier, Wiener und Weißwürste. Der Rest war nicht frisch. Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen, müsste mal wieder etwas renoviert werden. Rundum Services war in Ordnung.

Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt grundsätzlich zu empfehlen. Sie liegt verkehrsgünstig - 5 Minuten zu U-Bahn und Bus - und ist trotzdem sehr ruhig, jedenfalls das Hinterhaus, in dem unser Zimmer lag. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig, allerdings mit Ausnahme der Bäder etwas überaltert. Das Frühstück war reichlich, variantenreich und lecker.
Nicht gefallen hat uns der Empfang, in dessen Rahmen uns vorgeworfen wurde eines der zwei gebuchten Zimmer nicht bezahlt zu haben. Ursache sei möglicherweise eine Unterdeckung der zur Zahlung benutzten Kreditkarte. Dazu ist zu bemerken, dass beide gebuchten Zimmer in einer Zahlung bezahlt worden waren und dies sowohl von Ebookers bestätigt als auch als Abbuchung in der Kreditkartenabrechnung nachweisbar war. Obwohl dies sicher war blieb ein Gefühl der Verunsicherung und Unzufriedenheit durch die Unterstellung

Dieses Hotel hat die besten Zeiten hinter sich.
Besonders die Badezimmer müssen renoviert werden, da es überall dicke Kalkverkrustungen und Schimmelflecken gibt.

Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sauber. Die Betten sind sehr gut. Lediglich der Fernseher war etwas klein für den Sichtabstand.
Das Personal war freundlich. Jedoch könnte man beim Frühstück häufiger mal die Tische abwischen. Man musste erst darauf aufmerksam machen.
Was nicht okay war, war die Sauberkeit der WCs im Erdgeschoss. Das geht so nicht.
Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer war tadellos.
