We did not get the room we pre booked and paid for in September 2025 for one full week . We arrived last week and instead of seaview we got the view of another hotel with extremely loud noise from air conditioners cooling that other hotel with piping showing. So balcony not usable so trip ruined. When we went back to hotel staff they moved us next day to same room one floor up which was worse. Staff were unfriendly and WiFi never worked well …we never got text messages the whole week. Do not stay in the clipper it is very run down and very basic. The pictures on site are all very deceiving and old. Breakfast very plain and not tasty so we ate off site at the nearby restaurants . The staff in the restaurant are not friendly either.

Reception/check-in was pleasant and professional. Zenitude Hotel is divided in two main sections: Clipper and Residence Salako. I was in Clipper. This section requires a lot of renovation and clean-up.
The bathroom was unbelievably dirty. There was mouldy grime between the tiles in the shower cubicle and the bathroom floor.I had to buy AJAX and a scrubbing brush to clean it off.
The room was not so bad. The cleaning staff was very pleasant and efficient - they made do with whatever they had or what was given to them.
A hot water kettle for coffee and a microwave oven would have been nice.
The corridors and exterior of the whole place needs a good renovation - they were doing mostly patch-up covers on our floor.
The grounds are very nicely maintained. The semi-private beach was very accommodating. The breakfast was very good with a large choice.
Supper, when we decided to have and pay (EUR35 pp), was okay. Le Pelican, the resto-bar is a pleasant addition to the hotel.
For the size of the hotel, parking was very limited.
All in all it was a pleasant stay but a tad too expensive for services received.

Nice clean place well located but the staff/hotel doesn’t care to provide basic services such as a working safe (spent 40 min on my time on arrival to finally convince them to fix it), telephone service (was in repair for the whole 3 day stay ), wi-fi in the room ( signal not strong enough, had to go outside to get a signal).

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. House keeping did a great job each day. Beautiful views from balcony. Full access to the beach.

Convenient proximity to airport, restaurants & beaches. Le Gosier is definitely the place to stay.

Our only main issue was the lack of WiFi connection. There was no WiFi in the room. NONE AT ALL. And very limited internet access around the property.

The Breakfast here was very good. The Pelican Bar is very nice and handy. The beach is small but nice with plenty of natural shade. The rooms are quite small. Though you book a room expecting a balcony view it is misleading. The hotel has 3 separate buildings of rooms so it seems a bit disjointed and is spread out. The 3:00 checkin is so inconvenient....it truly should be 1:00. There are several restaurants very near that are good.

Happily surprised for the price we paid. Staff is nice and helpful. The property could use some upgrade for sure but this is the Caribbean and its charm. The view on the mountain and volcano was spectacular. This hotel has a great central location so you don’t spent 2h in traffic wether you want to go to St Francois or to Basse-terre. The buffet was modest but quite tasty. Parking was secured which was nice for our rented car. Will probably stay there another time.

Dinner at Pelican Grill was very tasty, but servers should understand that not all visitors are Guadeloupeen and would understand the menu.

This hotel is not worth your money. It was a place for my family to rest our heads while we were in transit and nothing more. We experienced the following problems: (1) the rooms were not properly cleaned especially the bathrooms, (2) the rooms are extremely outdated, (3) one of the toilets were leeking, (4) the internet was not working in any of our rooms, (5) they dont provide tea or coffee in the rooms, (6) the staff in some cases are unhelpful, (7) the walk up to the rooms with your heavy bags is a task, no one to assist. I could go on and on but I will stop here. In conclusion, I regretted my stay and this hotel will never have my hard earned money again.

Property desperately needs renovation, the beach is not clean daily. Invited people such as local teenagers drinking on the hotel's private beach leave empty bottles everywhere.
My vacation was ruined, my 14 years son was injured severely from their insecure shower and was sent to the local children's hospital.

Overall hotel location was great for what we were doing. The room was average but bed was comfy. Front desk service was super helpful but the restaurant was awful and not worth the money. We had better luck branching out to other local restaurants. Front desk speaks multiple languages for those that are English speakers only, but French is definitely a prerequisite. Guadeloupe is a beautiful country and I enjoyed the seclusion very much. The resort had a very nice beach and was close to other local beaches which was convenient. If your down for an adventure, you can stay here at a relatively cheap rate and the venture off on your own. Definitely rent a car to get around. Lots of beauty to see.

Scruffy approach road but hotel reasonable.

Resort itself is nice enough for the cost. Excellent breakfast every day. Excellent beach. Room was ok with good AC though we did not get the requested 'Superior' room upgrade. Swapped rooms with a family member and 'Superior' basically meant a higher floor so better views and a kettle - no cups or coffee/tea just a kettle. Hmmm!
Staff generally helpful, particularly Odile on Reception.
Speed of Bar service in the evenings was 'interesting' but always polite and accurate.
Evening entertainment was often (but not always) mediocre.
Didn't use the pool but always looked pleasant and immaculately maintained.
Gardens nicely maintained.

My wife call previous to check in and ask for a single bed for the Toddler, we arrived and they have a crib, even we ask and they never make the change, so we sleep with our kid for 5 nights. The rest is good clean facilities, good Breakfast, they need to clean up the beach area, is full of cigarettes butts, I guess is not hotel fault, is the disgusting people who think that the sand is a big ashtray...

perfect location to discover the island

Nice hotel newly renovated, super close to a nice beach. Location perfect to discover the island but you should rent a car to go tp the best beaches. The room was nice with the ocean view but some lingerie disappeared. I notify many times the issue but none was really caring. The wi-fi in the room didn't work. Again I notified many time the problem but nothing changed.The resort is nice but badly administrated.

We were pleasantly surprised with our 5 day stay at this resort.
This is a terrific property for a 3 star hotel.
It appears to be recently renovated.
Facilities were clean and modern.
Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.
Pool and private beach were fantastic.

The hotel is perfectly located. Lovely beaches, restaurants to choose from and a casino nearby for the game enthusiasts. i was pleased with the food. The staff were very friendly and always tried to assist. my only disappointment during these 7 nights was that i had to sign in every morning to have internet access. Hotel was clean but if you are looking for an english friendly hotel keep looking. Although they advertise themselves as English speaking they do so begrudgingly. As for the food … mediocre . Typical buffet stuff. Luke warm and it all tastes the same. If you get the free breakfast it is fine but lunch and dinner you will do better walking across the street to the many small establishments. Our favorite was called \"La Verdure\". Food was excellent and they were very nice to those of us with limited French. They also have a store where you can purchase snacks, wine, beer and soda.
They advertise 3 bars but the main bar is not open to the general hotel guests. We tried to purchase a drink but we're told no . The best we could figure out the hotel uses this bar for companies etc, who rent it out for their \"meet and greats\". You can get a drink in the restaurant but you have to hunt down someone to wait on you as they are all preparing the food for lunch or dinner. The beach also has a bar but it has a small selection of beer and soda.
All in all if you speak more than a smattering of French you will be fine but if you aren't secure in your french you may want to try another place.

Our fridge didn't work the whole time, they said they couldn't fix it and all the rooms were full so they didn't have any spare ones. 5 out of 7 days the nightly entertainment was so bad there were only 1 to 3 people watching with a full hotel. We asked for a 220v to 120 v converter, he said he would get one but we never got it.

Had a great time in Guadeloupe. Resort beach was excellent, private. Complimentary breakfast buffet was good. Room had a nice view from the balcony. Casino and its money exchange were only a block away. Great staff. Rent a Car next door. Only minutes from the airport. Entertainment every night. Good for families or couples. Excellent lunches and dinners available. Watersports on site. Plan to return. Good value for the money.

Sleepy enclave with a great experience

A few days before our departure I got very nervous reading the reviews. Here's a tip, if you are basic, entitled and your idea of fun is being a douche , this hotel and actually, this island isn't for you.... My French sucks but I tried but almost all of the staff was able to communicate my simple needs and oh, yeah I used something called Google Translate if I was unfamiliar with a terminology. The room was great, only thing the pillow is a little hard, the bathroom was excellent, a renovated shower that was uber relaxing. Nice view but we hardly stayed in our rooms. Breakfast was great, proximity to restaurants, public transportation and the other resorts was a nice touch. Check in and check out was smooth and easy and front desk was pretty helpful.
The beach was great, sleepy not a scene for playing Frisbee or getting turnt, Mon Dieu merci! If you are accustomed to being entitled and never happy with anything- stay home don't ruin it!

Take away a star (or two)

Arriving at noon, we were told our room would be ready at 3 pm. At 3 pm, there were no towels in the room and the bed linen was incomplete. There were no towels at the beach, either. We finally got linens at 9 pm. We asked to reserve a taxi for 5:15 am the next day, and luckily we re-checked, because the taxi was never ordered. There was one pleasant, competent woman at the desk in the evening, otherwise staff members were not helpful. It was not a language problem, as my French is excellent.
We chose this hotel for a one night stay because of its three stars, overall good ratings, and proximity to the airport. However, the beach water was dingy, elevator did not work, and the entire property seemed outdated and not well maintained. It is located off the beaten track and walking at night is not recommended. Although there seemed to be relatively few guests, the staff seemed harried and basic amenities (linens) were lacking.

This was a last minute overnight reservation as our flight got cancelled. We arrived very late. The staff went above and beyond to make our check in as quick as possible since we had to leave at 5am. The gentleman who checked us in, walked us to our room to make sure it was to our liking and even suggested a wake up call so we wouldn't be late for our morning flight.

Good location for airport and day trips

We stayed there three nights on the front end of our week-long trip, and one night at the end. We chose it because it was reasonably close to the airport, and the plan worked well since we arrived at night and left in the early morning. The Salako building is starting to show some wear and tear. We had problems with the bathroom doors in both rooms we used. The included breakfast was good. The evening buffet dinner was not worth the 30 Euro price. The hotel's location is good for day trips on Grand Terre. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The hotel staff was so welcoming, and helpful. Most of them also spoke English. The room was very comfortable and clean. The food at the hotel was delicious. We did not get to spend time at the beach or the pool because we arrived late at night but it was a nice stay.

There were a couple of issues that made this a not so great experience. First, we had 4 people reserved for the suite but they claimed I had to pay an extra 37 eur for the 4th person. I told them I reserved with the names of all 4 of us but they still made me pay. When booking through Hotels.com, there was no mention of the extra cost.
The other issue was that there were only 2 towels in the room. I had to call multiple times before anyone came. I also requested sheets and pillows for the couch on separate calls and visits to the reception desk. They never came. My kids had to sleep without sheets or pillows.
The last thing was, we arrived after 6 but wanted to swim in the pool. There was no way to get a beach towel when we were at the pool since the cabana closed at 6 even after asking an employee walking by. SInce we had not enough bath towels , we ended up getting out of pool and walking back to the room dripping wet.

Fine enough for one brief nights stay

I have learned threw the years to go for the most expensive hotel available while in the Carribean because most 3 star hotels are not up to even American \"motel\" standards. That said, this place was fine for one brief nights stay before I had an early morning flight. The food was pretty good and the staff was nice. There was a pool and a beach which was nice. Loud at night though. The room was very standard with tile everywhere. The bathroom was old and the bed was small with only two small pillows. I asked for two more pillows and the nice maid brought them right up for me. So basically it was fine but I certainly would not spend the bulk of my vacation there.

The hotel is decent for the price. Views are exceptional. The office is a long way from the hotel itself. Bring an electric converter if you need to charge cell phone, or computer. Cable television was not working during the visit and management claimed that cable service had malfunctioned everywhere. Taxi from airport was expensive.

Cheap and cheerful

This hotel is actually three hotels right next door to the pricey but lovely L'Hotel Creole Beach Resort. We paid 1/4 of the price and enjoyed the same beach, a much more \"fun\" bar and a clean, cold room with free wifi and breakfast. Staff was VERY helpful and provided a power converter for free! There is a trio of great local restaurants across the street near the Casino, but we found the onsite dinner buffet really pretty good - we just weren't' hungry enough for the whole shebang more than once. It may not look like much as it's in a pretty urban area - but we are coming back again. We used this as a stop before getting on a sailing adventure. Cab to hotel is 30Euro. There are car rentals avail across the street. AND there is access to a luggage room and shower if you need to hang out while waiting for your flight. Pool, beach, spa - what else do you need?

The hotel wasn't that good. I had been booked for a sea view but what I got is another building in front of me. pillos are bad also the bed. What makes this hotel okay is the beach, it's very nice.

Service not just bad it's non-existent

Worse service ever. Our door lock broke on a Friday night and they had the nerve to tell us we would have to wait until Mon. morning to get back in to our room. They offered us a different room at the adjoining hotel managed by them. When I raised the issue of not having access to our clothes etc. the manager said we could \"I could take my wife shopping for new stuff\". Needless to say I had him call the general manager and they finally relented and brought a locksmith out. This along with no towels one day and no pillow cases the next made for a very unpleasant stay.

Caters to European Tour Groups

Hotel was clean and rather empty except for 60 French police there for visit of President Sarkozy who was staying nearby. Minimal hotel staff. Beach was biggest disappointment, small and water was not too clear. Neighboring hotel beach looked much better.

Good, clean and good food at beach restaurant.

The hotel is very nice and clean, it has its own private beach and the staff was very friendly and helpful. And the food was excellent! The hotel and rooms are a bit simple but functional. The room had a mini fridge, but it was empty so if you go there make sure to fill it with your own stuff (drinking water, snacks, etc) because there is no room service and there are no stores nearby.
I went there on a business trip, but the place is more for couples, honeymooners or a family trip.

Mid quality but good service

We missed the first breakfast without knowing it was free and part of the
charge. Restaurant is good quality. Room was satisfactory and has
a great air conditioner. Room is outdated but a good deal for the expedia
price.

Caters for groups. Not very good

A very dated 3_star hotel catering for groups. Lots of wear qnd tear associated with mass tourism and poor maintenance. Staff not very interested in much at all, almost surly. Breakfst buffet pretty ordinary and hygiene suspect. I had stomach problems a few hours after my first meal. The rooms are OK for a couple of days, but avoid this place if you are looking to stay for a week.

Koselig personalet og rent. Imidlertid ikke fornøyd med informasjon vedr håndduker, om offentlig strand og risikoen for tyveri dersom man lar håndduk ligge på solseng når man går og tar lunch. Ved tap må man erstatte eur 30 pr håndduk.

Le personnel étaient très gentils et l’ensemble du lieux est propre et accueillant.
Seulement une odeur de cigarette lorsque la climatisation est à ouverte.
Les installations dans la chambre sont vieillissantes, mais le lit confortable.
