Pleasant stay close to beach.

The view from the apartment was very nice, and the bed was comfortable. It was nice that there was refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. However, I was expecting more of a hotel setup, but it was more of a room-to-let. There was no service or change of linen or towels. The unit could also need some updating. It was easy to park on the street. It took around 5 minutes to walk to the beach. Wi-Fi was good.

I was very disappointed in this property. Although the location is incredible and the views are superb, the property is not well maintained nor clean. Bottom line: don't have a high expectations, bring your supplies if staying for a while, bring bug spray, this is not a true hotel with amenities. I really hope that this place improves because it's really a shame.

This apartment is unfortunately in some serious need of basic updating, it is ok for the price paid however, the location is primarily for French speaking tourists however the locals are extremely friendly and try their best to make you feel welcome. If you go you really need a car to get around, but the local bus service is really quite good for the local area if you want to go further afield a car is a must.

Decent space for the price with some odd quirks.

Cecile the check in reception is very sweet, but only on-site a few hours a Day, Hotel is like an older vacation rental. The balcony with ocean view is well worth the compromise at the price point though.

In room signs asking for a 10AM check out and a 25 Euro cleaning fee are not consistent with the Hotels.com booking or expectations, and thus makes the property a bit confusing and adds unneeded stress. Simply put it is Bush league. Put the right directions (11AM check out and no cleaning fee) in the room when hotel reservations come through.

Good condo near beach.

Location of this condo within walking distance of the local beach was great. Bakery, bank and tourist office were within walking distance. Supermarket a short drive away. However, the lack of water pressure and parking on the street in a congested area were a challenges.

It had a great view, good location to the beach and resturants. Had a kitchen for preparing meals. Could of had a coffee/tea cup and dish soap for cleanup.There were limited hours of office hours and check in was difficult. The najor drawback was the noise of cars on the street so sitting on the balcony was never pleasant. It was asumed that I had a working phone to call at check-in. People coming from out of country don’t have access to a ohone to call the manager so as to check in after hours. Quite frustrating.

Very basic hotel with no cleaning during our six night stay. Too little toilet paper and soap, though we were given more when we asked. Sewer smells very apparent. The view, however, was stunning and the lady in charge was very pleasant.

POOR COMMUNICATION!! BLAME EXPEDIA???

We arrived at 8:30pm as planned to the hotel. We found no one was available and the front door was locked. Finally, one guest came down and talked to us. He called the emergency number and no one answered and we sat on the street for two hours without access to the room I called Expedia customer service at least four time but no one could help. Finally, after two hours waiting, one Expedia supervisor arranged a room for us. We had to drive 20 miles to another hotel to spend a night. Overall, really bad experience. Next day, the property manager explained that there were emails sent to Expedia what to do after we arrive. We had received no emails from Expedia and hence a major inconvenience to start our vacation in paradise.

Third World in Guadeloupe

The town of Gosier where this residence hotel is suffers from chronic water shortages and restrictions, ongoing for several years. During our stay we were totally without water for four 12 hour periods over 6 days. Apparently, this is not unusual - read the online reports of the local municipality's meetings about this issue - you will see the locals complaining bitterly about this problem for years. Even during \"normal\" water supply periods, there was barely enough water to have a shower, maybe because out unit was on the top floor of a 4 story building. The two level unit we had has no air-con on the upper sleeping level, no windows at all (!) and no roof vent to let out the heat, so even in late December, it is impossible to sleep up there. It was 34-38 degrees C in the mornings - and over 40 C by late afternoon. The street outside is a main road, with lots of traffic and noise. The unit itself has a nice view of the harbour, but the tiny balcony (which is 50% occupied by a heavy granite table) is pretty much unusable. You can do much better elsewhere for about the same price. Look into Deshais (on western side of the island), or Saint-Anne, or Saint Francois. Avoid this place.

No one told us about the water shut off

The biggest negative about this hotel is that the water gets turned off in the entire neighborhood for 18 hours at a time every few days. No one told us about this. Imagine our surprise! This would’ve been nice to know. Also, the batteries in the remote for the air-conditioner did not work. And once the water was turned back on, the toilet leaked. Little things really do make a difference on vacation.
One more thing: the staff informed us just before we got there they would be on vacation for the week we were there. We therefore had no one to whom to voice our concerns.

walking distance to beach, room comfort was good.

MY arrival was late in the evening after sunset - a little difficult to take in the beauty, Next day, went around the town - super friendly locals. Beach was breathtaking - day and night. Neighborhood quite - but felt very safe town people take care of the tourist. Shopping a bit difficult as sunset - shops close.
Hotel had all the comforts of home - Wifi on the island very difficult - only wifi available at hotel.
Overall had a great time - would recommend to all family and friends.

Modest, older apartment close to the water.

The staff was very kind and helpful, but the facilities were certainly dated and borderline in disrepair. Although not \"dirty\" per se, the place had a sort of patina that made it feel unclean. The A/C did work well, which was important as the doors needed to remain closed to keep out street noise and mosquitos, some of which were already inside to welcome me. For a budget minded traveler who needs a small apartment's amenities, this place would be just fine.

It's nice to get so much space (2 bedrooms, kitchen, etc) for such a low price! The view from the balcony overlooking le Gozier island/bay is breathtaking! This is like an apartment building with maybe 6-10 apartments. There was a very nice, shady patio out the back of the apartment too (in addition to the south-facing balcony). Parking is not good though if you rent a car--there is only street parking. However, despite the street appearing crowded, I never had to park more than a block away. The air conditioning works very well. No elevator. No onsite food, but there are several options within a few blocks. Thank you Residence Tourquoise!

Convenient family locations

This is a well priced, family friendly, accommodation, with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. We were looking for a location convenient to the airport and the beach and this met our needs perfectly. Beatrice was very responsive to emails, met us on arrival, and provided suggestions for activities in the area. The building itself is a bit dated, but the apartment had all the conveniences we needed and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely use this location again!

Live like a local!

The \"un-all inclusive\", the real way to visit. Few blocks to beach. Fresh bakery one block (fresh croissants and baguettes every morning). Mostly French (you are in France after all) but anyone can still get by (don't be afraid). Enjoy the French/Caribbean culture! Parking on streets always available (might have to walk a block or 2-but rarely).Lots to do! The people are great!

Room is clean with well equipped kitchenette. Also balcony with lovely view of the ocean. However there is busy street in front of hotel. Double bed is really two twins pushed together. Not cleaning services during stay.

A nice place to stay

The Turquoise is furnished apartments. Clean sheets and towels are provided every week. The manager, Beatrice, was very helpful. She booked our taxi to and from the airport (it's recommended visitors rent a car, but we didn't). You can get by on high school French. We shopped at the local market everyday. The unit had a bar fridge, new dishwasher and cook top. Aside from walking the beach, we ate almost all our meals on the balcony. We would go back, no question about it.

Convenient hotel, though in need of some updates

Although the bedding could have been replaced and the bathroom needed a major renovation, the Residence Turquoise was a comfortable hotel. We were a little disappointed with the inconsistent front desk service (the owner was not always present during her posted office hours), but appreciated that the owner went out of her way to provide us with plenty of water when there was a broken pipe that interrupted the town's water service before we even had a chance to ask for help. The hotel itself was conveniently located and we loved our view. Further, the wifi was good, everything in the kitchen worked, and the air conditioning worked very well. It was a positive experience over all.

Better than we first thought

The hotel was actually quite good, but we were a little disappointed in the location. We thought it would be much closer to the water and a beach. It's at least four blocks from a good beach. The view from our balcony was wonderful, though! There are a couple restaurants close by. Unfortunately they close by 5:00. A few others a few blocks away are open for dinner. We had to climb a lot of stairs to get to our room and there's no railing, so beware. Would we stay there again? Yes, if was for just one night.

I made my reservation and went to the hotel I could not see anyone to welcome me. I had to stay at another hotel. The next day again I went twice again no one was there. That was not business'. That was very irresponsible.

We found the hotel/apartment on Expedia and it ended up being exactly what we wanted. A loft for two teen boys and a bedroom for us (though it was two singles pushed together). A chesterfield could have doubled as a fifth bed with a sixth cot stowed underneath. The kitchen had a fridge that was a little bigger than a hotel fridge, a dishwasher, glass top stove, dishes, cutlery, glasses. There was a locally connected phone. Bathroom has a shower with towels. New linens were dropped off a week into our stay. A little short on cleaning supplies so we paid the 30E cleaning fee on leaving. Over all a very nice place to stay which suited our needs perfectly. We ate breakfast there each morning and snacked at night. I think we saved a bit by staying there at a VERY expensive time of year and expensive part of the world. Remember: Guadeloupe is part of France!

My husband and I took the ferry to Guadeloupe from (our current home) Dominica. We loved the island and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Residence Turquoise! The room was very cozy and had a full kitchen! The location was perfect with an INCREDIBLE view of the Sea! If you are looking for an inexpensive yet quality room- stay here! There is no front desk or room service but this guest house provides the best \"home base\" for an active stay in Guadeloupe!

Wir hatten einen absolut traumhaften Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Aussicht ist wirklich spektakulär und gehört unserer Meinung nach zu den schönsten auf ganz Guadeloupe. Allein dafür lohnt sich der Aufenthalt schon.

Die Lage ist perfekt: Der Strand ist direkt fußläufig erreichbar und auch mehrere sehr gute Restaurants liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Man kann alles bequem zu Fuß erreichen und ist trotzdem ruhig und wunderschön gelegen.

Am meisten beeindruckt hat uns jedoch der Service. Natalia war einfach außergewöhnlich: Sie hat uns jeden Tag unglaublich geholfen, war jederzeit ansprechbar, extrem hilfsbereit und hat uns gefühlt jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Sie hat Taxis für uns organisiert, uns tolle Empfehlungen gegeben und ist immer proaktiv auf uns zugekommen. Dazu war sie durchgehend sehr, sehr freundlich und herzlich.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung!

Hébergement parfait pour une famille avec 3 enfants. Nous avons passé 10 jours agréables. L'hébergement est assez grand pour avoir un coin enfant et un coin parents. La vue est superbe et la communication avec la réception est facile et très agréable.
Il pourrait juste y avoir un tout petit peu plus de vaisselle.

Je pense que trop petit pour 6 personnes 1 seule salle de bain c'est pas assez . Pas fait pour des personnes plus âgées car pas d'ascenseur et 44 marches c'est difficiles . Cécile a été très gentille avec nous .Elle a fait changer le frigo pour un plus grand et la vue est magnifique . La plage est belle mais il faut faire attention beaucoup de vols et pas sortir le soir c'est pas sécuritaire .

L'emplacement est calme et parfait pour visiter l'île et la vue est magnifique sur l'ilet du gosier. L'appartement était spacieux et très propre . Le petit bémol serait pour la salle de bain qui est un peu vétuste et la connexion wifi un peu lente.

Mal entretenue salle de douche à refaire, jolie vue mais parce qu’on était au dernier étage sinon ça donne sur la rue et pas du tout sur la plage.
Dans ascenseur donc avec 5 valises dont 1 grosse lourde... plus jamais. Si c’’était à refaire j’irai ailleurs

punaise de lit a éviter

J ai séjourné avec ma femme et mon fils dans cet appartement très bien situé et avec une belle vue. Nous avons été bien accueillis mais nous avons eu un gros problème de punaise de lit qui ont dévoré ma compagne avec prés d une centaine de piqûres sur les jambes et bras! Notre fils de 2 ans a heureusement été épargné mais nous avons été obligés de laver et désinfecter tout le contenu de nos valises en rentrant et ma compagne souffre toujours de ses piqûres qui continuent de la gratter. Nous avons signalé ce problème mais rien n a été proposé: pas de changement d appart car pas de disponibilité, pas de geste commercial et en plus nous avons payé 30 euros en espèces pour le ménage.. ménage qui laisse a désirer car nous avons trouvé plein de cadavre de punaises de lit sous le lit après inspection ainsi que des saletés sous la banquette lit du salon ou nous avons été obligé de dormir... en effet nous avons passé notre dernière nuit sur la banquette lit pour fuir les punaises de lit de la chambre mais cela été très inconfortable..

Résidence très bien placée et très pratique

Accueil très sympathique, la gérante est conciliante et trouve des solutions aux éventuels soucis rencontrés. L'immeuble est très bien situé, face à l'îlet Gosier. La chambre est équipée de tous les éléments nécessaires à la vie sur place. Petit bémol sur l'état général de propreté, mais rien d'affolant heureusement.

Забронировали двух комнатные апартаменты второй этаж номер 3.Апарты большие даже есть свой дворик где можно посидеть покушать кстати только в 3 и 5 есть дворик ну и конечно балкон в видом на море тоже супер!Из минусов старенькие апарты ,комары ,шумная дорога перед балконом .Хорошая Хозяйка помогала что просили.Рядом прикольный пляж с душем но без лежаков .

La struttura e' piuttosto Obsoleta e trasandata , la reception c'e' solamente per alcune ore al giuorno e l'addetta parla solamente francese (e la cosa e' piuttosto ridicola , visto che nessuno degli ospiti era francese) . Detto questo , il residence e' in una ottima posizione , con un panorama strepitoso , vicino alla spiaggia ( una delle piu' belle dell'isola), in una posizione tranquilla . Nelle vicinanze ci sono tutti i servizi essenziali . E' necessario essere muniti di auto . La Guadalupa e' un luogo veramente magnifica , ha spiaggie spettacolari, pulitissime e ben accessibili. La natura e' bellissima , il clima (ci sono stato a Gennaio) e' magnifico . Unico handicap , un traffico intenso e piuttosto caotico , specialmente nei pressi dei centri abitati.

Belle vue mais ménage c'est pas encore ça

Déjà lors de mon arrivée, il y avait une coupure d'eau sur la commune. Mais heureusement la responsable a fait une réserve dans la chambre et très agréable. Il y a une très belle vue sur l'îlet du Gosier c'est un vrai plaisir... juste trop court mon séjour.
