The AC didn’t keep the room cool (room 217). We ask the staff, but they did not find any suitable solutions. Room temperature was constantly between 24 and 28 degree celsius.

La chambre était propre, mais était infesté de petit insecte qui vive dans l’humidité des milliers , quand nous somme aller avertir la réception il nous on dit qu’il ne pouvait rien faire. Ce n’est pas un grand lit mais bien deux lit simple un à côté de l’autre, il n’y a pas de service au chambre pour les appartements comme nous. Attendez vous à donner un dépôt de 350euro
En louant avec hôtel il nous donne la vue sur la cour et non pas la plage. Le parking est très très limité un problème

I liked that the property was in walking distance to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room did not have wash cloths nor hand towels, and there was a note stating that towels should not be removed from the room. There is a pool on the property but no pool towels are provided. The pool was also not clean.

Hotel should be used for overnight. Not allowed to switch towels to be refreshed (it is only done once a day) so if you would like to go to the pool you have to utilize the same towel you shower with. Not sufficient pillows or bedding. At least the lady at the front desk was pleasant.

very desultory check-in, no help with luggage, rudely told that 2 star hotels are not required to have water to drink in rooms. No tissues, 3 sachets horrible shower gel, no soap or shampoo, no coffee maker, no fridge or water or information in rooms. Beds smaller than a US single, could not push 2 together well as queen - big gap. Not like room in photos on their profile. Stuffy when arrived, then freezing and blankets well hidden, spent night too cold as a/c not adjustable. Perfectly clean and decent shower is about all I can say.

Location was great, short walk from the beach :)
A lot of restaurants nearby, a 10-15minute walk to the main road and another bigger beach is a 15-20 minute walk away. 2 minute walk from the casino and other great restaurants.
Everyone is super helpful when it comes to questions and are super nice.

NEVER again! Hotel with rent-a-fridge!

Arriving - hotel parking is very small and was full. Had to park 500m away.
Room:
Floor was dirty - feel it with my feet!
There was not even a single glass!
No fridge in the room - if you want you can rent it for additional charge!! First hotel with rent-a-fridge!
There was a mold smell! They offered me another room on the ground floor - same smell!
NO WiFi ! Hotel network was with no internet access!

Very nice hotel for the price. Breakfast is served between 8-9 a.m.. the variety for breakfast can be more elaborate. Rooms are very clean and there is daily maid service. All t.v. stations are only in french so that would be a con for solely English speaking persons. The area was a bit hard for me to find but it was my first time to the island. There are many restaurants and a casino within walking distamce. The public bus also passes on the main road by the hotel is pro and their or three rental agents in close proximity of the hotel. All in all the for the price and location service was excellent !

It was ok for the night.

I only stayed for one night but a few things stuck out to me. One, the property was under construction and wet cement everywhere. Two, they had a nice small pool but didn’t offer towel services should you want to swim. Third, the cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable because I cleaned the shower floor myself upon arrival. Lastly their television services only provides 4/5channels which were entertaining if you speak French but I didn’t mind. Over all it was ok for the night. If I stayed for a free days I wouldn’t want to be there.

Bare-bones hotel trapped in a parking lot maze

Bad points:
--The hotel is extremely difficult to find (you have to pass through multiple parking lots to get to it)
--Parking at the hotel is extremely tight (pro tip: more parking is behind in back, but no signs point to it)
--Beach is far away from the hotel, and the hotel area is not \"walkable\" in general
--Cleanliness was disappointing, as we found old bars of soap in the bathroom, etc.
--Design of rooms is bare-bones, but at least accurate to pictures

--Hotel seems very safe

Hotel was truly no frills: towels, but no wash cloths or hand towels; a single flat pillow on top of uncomfortable sheets; and a barely functioning A/C that was so loud that it woke us up out of a dead sleep towards the end of our stay. Our \"double\" room was *tiny*--barely big enough to fit the two twin beds squeezed into it. Wifi signal was very weak/infrequent. For the price of the room, expected more space and amenities. Might be fine for one night, but nothing more. Would not stay again.

1st at arrival WIFI is charged with 5 Euro per night, despite it is advertised on hotels.com to be included and hotel staff does not care about it.

2ndly, no water in first night for total hotel and 2nd night no electricity in our room.
However, anything like this has never happened before and it is an exception according to staff!

Convenient value hotel, you get what you pay for

I had no major issues. Customer service could be much better and staff has limited English proficiency so it was lucky that I speak some French. Fridge and WiFi are additional charge and there are no English channels on TV. Not complaining just advising! This is a great place to crash at night while enjoying Gosier and the nearby amenities it provides (beach, stores, casino, restaurants, etc.) I would stay again. :)

If you are just looking for a hotel to over night in, this is perfect. I'm not sure if this is the french culture, but the room is very simple. It's basically a rectangle. The breakfast was very simple too. I found it a bit over priced. The bed room was tidy though.

There were only two negatives in an otherwise excellent experience. It was hard to find the hotel, in spite of having carefully researched the route. I recommend written instructions that include \"Safari Pizza\" as an important landmark. Also, the breakfast was very poor - the cereals stale, not attractively presented, and far too pricey for what we were able to enjoy. The room was great - comfortable, well organized, well lit, secure, and very clean. The location is fantastic - easy to walk out to a different restaurant each night. We never went to the beach because we used this as a starting spot for exploring Basse Terre. But, had we wanted the beach, it would have been nice to have some idea of how to find it.

The hotel is OK for one night. We couldn't believe there was NO elevator...! A hotel WITHOUT an elevator !!! Our room was on the third floor and we had to carry our luggage up and down in the stairs...
Otherwise, the hotel is located in a great neighborhood.

Not bad hotel and price close to PTP airport.

The hotel is actually a part of a huge complex, where part of it is a gated community for permanent residents (and it looked like permanent, retired French citizens from the mainland), and part of it is temporary/hotel stay. I just wanted to be there a night to catch my plane back to the USA the next day. With the bodyguards at the gates, it can make you wonder what type of area you are in at Le Gosier (a suburb of Pointe a Pitre), but it's fine, especially for a quick stay. I'm an American, I don't speak French, but I could get by pretty easily here. People speak enough English or are just helpful in general.

Stayed on night because it was close to airport. Hotel was very clean, and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very uncomfortable and squeeked every time I moved. My fault for not realiszing it was more of a motel and had outside corriders which made me a little nervous as i was traveling alone. Room was very dark because I didnt feel comfortable with curtain open to hallway where people were passing by. Good hotel for a night or two but not for longer stay.

Nice Hotel - quite location

The hotel experience was good as I only stayed for one night. However, my hotel had no towels, and they carte in the room which provide information, etc, was dirty. This definitely need to change. There was food all over the thing. The check-in person (male) never smiled and is a bit unpleasant sometimes. He was the only one there and seemed to be alittle over whelmed.

Inexpensive but missing some expected basics

A bit tricky to find and cramped in with several other places to stay. Parking was a bit tight and tough to find space. Front desk controlled everything. WiFi was extra, mini fridge was extra, and could have use a couple of hand towels along with regular towels. TV was mounted next to ceiling which made it only viewable if you laid down on the bed. would have preferred no TV and swap for a fridge or free WiFi.

Not the best place to stay

While marketed as a hotel, this is really a cheap motel. No elevator. Rooms are cramped. Bed took up most of the room. Maintenance of the hotel was shabby. I wouldn't set foot in the shower, it looked so bad. Towels were like kitchen towels. The only good thing was it was reasonably clean and the air conditioner worked well. The staff were less than helpful. No coffee maker in the room and the only coffee available was if you purchased the breakfast for 7.50 euros or if you purchased it from a machine. There was no place within walkable distance to get breakfast, though there were places for lunch and dinner.

Its basic accommodation , nothing special

I would expect to find a refrigerator in the room as part of the norm, and not having to pay extra for same upon arrival.
The internet is so normal and inexpensive for everyday use, and should not be paid for as extra .

otherwise it was a regular hotel experience.

My French language was not good ,, but the staff made effort to accommodate me by speaking English the best way they new it.

Good overnight near airport

Last night great friendly stay before return home. Selected because near beach, near airport, had pool, English spoken, great value (all true), near Le Gosier centre (yes, but nothing there). Saturday arrival by local orange bus from PàP dropped off at door. Sunday taxi 35€ to airport. Used baggage store, pool (nice, clean) and loo to chill after 11.00 checkout before 3pm depart. Really great value overnight stay. Brilliant quality meal at Grill top of hotel street on corner, so didn't need breakfast - corner shop used for lunch. Basic but ideal overnight.

Karaibes Hotel was a clean hotel and served a purpose of a room for a night which didn't break the bank. We were in transit to Dominica so just needed somewhere to rest our heads for a night on the way there and a night on the way back. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and they sell cold beer or even champagne behind the counter. The room is very basic but at the price compared to others in the area, it's good value for money. The location isn't great but there is a fantastic pizza restaurant across the road called Safari.

Stayed here for three days on my first trip to Guadeloupe. Hotel was a great budget choice. The rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. The location is great for first time travelers because of the proximity to the bus routes that can take you all over Guadeloupe. There is also a beautiful beach about 15 min walk away. They also have English speaking staff for those not comfortable with French.

This hotel is a budget hotel, and for that it is definitely fit for purpose. Book a five starhotel if you want luxury. It was basic. They charge a small fee for internet, however the room was clean. The area and traffic noise wasn't as bad as other reviews had it. I would recommend this hotel for couples or friends who want to come back and rest after a night out.

I was just looking for a place to sleep and wasn't expecting much from the price but pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The room had the basics - a bed, towels, soap, AC, etc - which was all I needed. Tip - don't get the breakfast there because there are local places nearby where you can get breakfast though at 6 euros its wasn't too bad. This isn't a luxury hotel but if you're looking for a nice, clean place to sleep while exploring Guadeloupe, consider Karaibes.

Only had 1 night stay and hotel was basic, clean and comfortable. Room was all tiled which made it slippery in bathroom and when returning from pool if slightly wet. Air con was noisy and had been set on low setting so room never really cooled down.

Hotel was surrounded by vast parking lots. Multi-lingual staff was helpful. Room was very basic, no fridge or in room coffee. You even had to pay if you wanted a glass. Many of near-by shops had closed down, not much choice of places to eat within walking distance, tho' the 3 that were there were OK. Nice beaches within walking distance. 5 euro breakfast was very basic. No-one at reception over night.
It is located in Pointe de la Verdure but there is hardly any verdure.

The hotel is located relatively close to Le Cheyenne - a dance club - I wanted to go to in Gosier and it is also very close to the beach. Moreover, the hotel staff spoke English which made things much easier for us. The staff was also very friendly and willing to help.

Quelques mésaventures

J’appelle avant le séjour pour signaler que l’on arrivera apres la fermeture de la reception et on constate que mon enfant n’a pas de lit parapluie dans la chambre alors qu’il apparait dans ma reservation. La receptionniste arrange le probleme.
Puis lorsque nous arrivons le soir, il n’y a pas de reservation à notre nom à la borne et la reception est fermée. Heureusement le receptionniste qui venait de finir son service nous a vu et a réouvert la reception pour nous donner nos cartes.
