The place and the area surrounding the hotel left a lot to be desired. When i checked in i had to wait for ten minutes until someone showed up. The grounds were not maintained well and the room was crawling with ants. The bed was broken and i ran out of soap after one shower. Also, i wouldnt spend much time in town. Not much to see or do.

Disappointing, would nt recommend

People at the reception were very nice, but overall the place was a disappointment. Room was cramped, moldy, bed was uncomfortable. TV didn’t work well and internet was marginal. Air conditioning was either too srong or too weak. Dining room was not too clean and breakfast options were very limoted. Defintely would not recommend staying here for this price.

just ok hotel

Well first thing I speak english and this is french everything country so no tv to watch and understand while in room when i was not reading. NO WIFI in rooms, not a good thing so i could not do anything on the internet only in the lobby/office area big turn off for me. My mattress was very thin which hurt my back. Everything about room was nice besides the thin mattress. Close to the beach, gas station/small store in walking conditions.

Basic hotel in close proximity to a nice beach.

The room was clean, however we had no hot water. We had to leave before the front desk was open so we had to make due. The room was clean but dated. There were a fair amount of mosquitoes, do keep windows shut and AC on. Only 5 min walk to the Club Med beach, as well as a terrific restaurant (Kote Sud).

Easygoing, basic hotel close to the beach.

Very pleasant experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice washrooms with clean drinkable water. Less than 5 minutes to the Caravelle beach. Good restaurants minutes from the hotel. 15 minute walk into the charming town of Sainte Anne with another nice beach, many good restaurants and other services.

Excellent for a 2 star hotel

It's not evident from the website that this hotel is literally on oceanfront. You walk through the smallish swimming pool, through a gate to the beach - albeit not swimmable. But walk 50 yards to the right and you are on the Club Med beach (which is public), and is a gorgeous beach. You can rent chairs for a day from Club Med for E10 or just spread your towel. There is an ok beach bar there. Instead of turning right from the hotel, if you turn left you can walk about 1 km along the ocean front to reach the St. Anne public beach.

Another plus for this location, you are about a 5 minute walk to one of the nicer restaurants in St. Anne, Kote Sud. Highly recommended, reservations are a must. Otherwise, you probably have to walk into town for other restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is also ok. They can call a taxi for you if you wish to go elsewhere. Taxis are expensive.

Taxi fare from airport was E60.

Rooms themselves are basic, just what you might expect for a 2 star hotel, but they were clean. Staff was very friendly but only a few could communicate in English. Generally the same everywhere in Guadaloupe. If you go, it's helpful if you have command of a few basic phrases in French.

Book for beach and breakfast

The best thing about this hotel was it's close proximity to the beach. And, it wasn't just any beach, it was the perfect beach. I mean, there's a reason Club Med built right on top of it.

That said, the room was basic if not a little depressing, but what can you really ask for at this price point.

The breakfast was great. It was certainly much better than most continental breakfasts that I've had state-side as it included chocolate croissants.

Ok hotel at best. Close to best beach on the island however if you dont speak french or have a rental i wouldnt suggest staying here as there isnt much to see. i would suggest spending a bit more and staying at a all inclusive hotel. Staff was nice however not very helpful and breakfast buffet was kind of a joke....

Family feel to this hotel, everyone that worked there was very friendly. Had a friendship drinks night which meant we met other people staying there. The Rotabas had everythig we needed and its close proximity to the beach is great.We would stay there again and recommend it to others.

The hotel staff were friendly, the room was clean and confortable. The pool was small but OK. It was a short walk to the beach and centre of St Anne. The food was OK. Although the hotel is a little isolated, I was pleasantly surprised after having read some less complimentary reviews.

Basic accommodations

It's a very basic place. The rooms are like small cottages; the bed takes up nearly the entire space. While it is nothing special, it is about as inexpensive as you can go in the area so it is not fair to say that you don't get much for your money; that's just how prices are there. It is within walking distance of the same beach used by Club Med. Oh, and it is a little hard to find so get directions before you go. Be aware that the traffic between the hotel (St. Anne) and Pointe-A-Pitre can be very bad at times.

Completely runned down and the service minimal. Breakfast buffet is a joke! Even at half the price which we paid, I would feel it is too much!!Never again and we were happy we had only booked 1 night!

Not using their great potential

This place has a great potential but they don't seem to like to use it. The room was dirty and the outside area was dirty as well with empty bottles and cigarettes on the ground. Could have been ok to pay half of the price we did and was glad that we stayed only three nights.

The place has a good location near the st anne and we managed even if we didn't have an own car.

Basic Hotel In A Great Location

Basic hotel in a great location, next to the best beach on Guadeloupe (Club Med/Caravelle Beach). St, Anne is one of the better places to home base as well. You (and the general public as well), have free access to Club Med's beach and there's no hassle (you just can't use their toys, beach chairs, etc.).

This place is not fancy, and I would have loved better shower facilities (no hook for the nozzle ... completely hand held) but the staff is friendly, it's fairly clean, it has a small decent pool that no one used the whole time we were there, and it offers free wifi in the lobby.

Nous avons passé un séjour fort agréable avec mon fils et moi. Bel accueil, bienveillance de la gérante et de toute l'équipe de l'hôtel. De plus, petit déjeuner inclus avec pleins de choix que nous avons adoré. il y avait tout sur place, snack, restaurant, piscine et plage à proximité. Nous reviendrons probablement ! Nous avons du attendre pendant 1/2 heure avant d'accéder à notre chambre. Le ménage n'était pas fait à 17h30.

Il a été bon, pas exelent , les employée ne sont pas contents, dificil un sourire, distants mais poli.
La proprieté benefice de beaux jardins, une belle entrée, mais le restaurant es vieux, le parking horrible, la plage est infranchissable mai a 50 mètre est magnifique.

Le seul problème étant l'odeur de poisson régnant un peu partout dans les environs, à l'extérieur.

Hôtel qui pourrait être très bien. très bon emplacement et personnel très gentil. en revanche pour le prix les prestations attendues ne sont pas là : pas d'eau chaude le premier soir, pas de kitchenette, piscine pas éclairée pour y aller dès qu'il fait nuit, porte du bungalow fermant mal, chambre non faite tous les jours, portillon d'accès à la mer fermé et plage non nettoyée, il faut aller à la plage du club med. enfin resto et snack fermé pour cause congés alors que ce n'est pas indiqué sur le site.
Petit déjeuner très bien mais beaucoup trop tard pour partir ensuite faire des excursions (indiqué à 7h mais en réalité à 7h30)

Hôtel antillais ancien et charmant noyé dans la végétation, le personnel très aimable est à votre écoute. Il faut faire avec les imperfections, car on a la chance de pouvoir profiter d'une magnifique plage à proximité sans avoir à chercher une place de parking.

Einfach aber gut! Ja nicht zu hohe Erwartungen ;o)

Wir hatten einen Kurzaufenthalt auf Guadeloupe geplant und wussten, dass es rund um Saint Anne schöne Strände gibt (türkisblau) und man auch kiten kann.
Das Hotel ist sehr einfach, Frühstück ist auch OK und man kann auf der Terasse Mittag- oder auch Abendessen.
Was einfach super ist, die Nähe zum Strand, zum Hotel nebenan. Dort gibt es eine Landzunge, auf der einen Seite gibts diverse Wassersportarten, auf der anderen Seite eine Bar, günstige Liegestühle und dort kann man gemütlich schwimmen und schnorcheln.
