The property needs to be upgraded. The furniture on the balcony was dingy and unattractive. The tiles on the perimeter of the balcony as moldy.

The entire hotel is old, past its time, and neglected, the room, the balcony, the lobby, and there is no beach access! They have a FENCE!!! installed right at the beach front so you can's walk to the water. Unbelievable! there was no hot water in the entire facilities for TWO DAYS! and the night staff is friendly but poorly trained. I went to the front desk to alert them there was not toilet paper or paper towel in the bathroom lobby TWICE, still nobody bothered to replenish the bathroom supplies. They charge too much money and claim to be a 4 star resort. Clearly there is much work to be done before they can make that claim. Location is only good with a car, but there are surprisingly good small restaurants around. Don't go to this hotel if you expect to have a relaxed stay with walks on the beach. It will not happen.

The room was ample and comfortable but the hotel in general shows time has passed for this hotel. Grafiti art that looks like trash. No hot water in the premises for two days in this hotel that claims to be 4 stars. They said the best they could offer was taking me to another room for a hot shower, but alas! no hot water there either, and the same with two more rooms! I ended up with a cold shower in my room late in the evening. The hotel shows its glory days are gone. Old, worn out furniture strung around the balcony with \"art' paint dripping down to the tiles. Outdated, uncared, unmaintained facilities. No paper towel or toilet paper in the lobby bathroom. The hotel needs a major upgrade and decor update all over. And there is no access to the beach! they have a full fence right at the border of the beach front. The hotel is called Arawak BEACH resort, do not come here if you expect to touch the ocean water, it will not happen.

This was the worse experience of a hotel that I have ever stayed in on holiday. There was a cockroach infestation. They could be seen in the bathroom next to the sink and the bedroom area running behind the fridge. One was seen on my daughter's toothbrush head. The air vent was thick with dust and had hairs hanging from inside it, and the seal around the shower was mouldy. There is a derelict building site next to the hotel. The pool was out of use when we arrived. Awful is the word for this place. I left after two days as it was hazardous and unbearable.

Solid option in Le Gosier
We were fortunate to stay right after the rush of the holidays and nearly had the entire property to ourselves! Room was large, bed comfortable, space clean, balcony overlooking the ocean [with the waves lulling you to sleep each night]. There is a good breakfast, plenty of outdoor seating, lounge chairs directly on the beach, huge pool with more lounge chairs. Staff is friendly and the building is secure [locked gate at entrance and on beach]. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Nous avons partagé nos petits déjeuners avec les oiseaux, tourterelles, poules et coqs. Dès que nous avions le dos tourné ils venaient manger dans les assiettes ou nous lâcher une fiente sur nous (côté sanitaire on a vu mieux !).

Dommage que cet établissement ne propose que très peu de possibilités de restauration, c’est triste, on aurait envie de prendre un verre bien installé, bien servi avec des tapas autres que nems et samoussas…

Belle outil mais un service perfectible
Bel hôtel, placé à la Pointe de la Verdure au Gosier, à 10 minutes de Pointe à Pitre. Je n’ai pas pu profiter de la plage à cause des algues sargasse mais c’est une belle plage. Par contre, arrivée tard la première nuit je n’ai pas été informée de l’existence de 2 dispositifs de climatisation dont un dysfonctionnel que j’ai utilisé, donc une très mauvaise nuit. Ce n’est que le lendemain que cela m’a été indiqué et ce sans excuses, il m’a été dit que j’aurais dû appelé dans la nuit et j’aurais eu l’info. Bref!

Déçue par ce 4 étoiles. Il est annoncé deux restaurants, on a une pauvre carte avec un seul menu pour le diner, un choix de 2 plats, 2 entrées. Quelques tables dans une salle vide. Personnel gentil. Service long. Petit déjeuner avec viennoiseries de la veille. Responsable de service peu aimable quand on demande du thé qui ne soit pas du thé noir. 4 étoiles je rappelle. Le reste du personnel gentil. La chambre ... pas de piles dans le coffre, robinet qui coule mal, bruit dans les gaines techniques, ... C'est au bord de l'eau, l'emplacement est pratique. Visiblement l'hotel mise plus sur les groupes, les colloques que la clientèle touristique.

Nous devions séjourner 9 nuits mais nous avons préféré écourter notre séjour pour de nombreuses raisons :
- l’hôtel n’est pas insonorisé, nous entons le moindre bruit de toutes les chambres, les pas, les portes, les discussions.
- environnement très bruyant, nous étions au 6eme étages et pourtant on entendais les discussions du parking.
- le ménage est fait à moitié
- le choix du petit déjeuner est extrêmement pauvre, pas de choix
- le restaurant n’est pas à la hauteurs, très peu de choix, 25€ un plat de pâtes avec 4 crevettes surgelées c’est vraiment honteux
- le standing d’un 4 étoiles n’est clairement pas présent,
- transat en plastic sur la « plage » ou plutôt derrière un portail coulissant.
Le prix de 200€ / nuit est tout simplement incompréhensible !!!

Très bonne impression pour une première expérience. Le personnel d’accueil du jour était formidable et très réactif. Encouragement donc appuyé. Nous souhaitons aussi souligner le réel professionnalisme de l’employée qui nous a servis au restaurant le soir de notre arrivée, nous l’exhortonso à garder cette dynamique et cette sympathie. Ces points positifs ne peuvent que générer une certaine fidélité, nous y retournerons dans cet hôtel.
