A great hotel with nearness to the lovely beach.

Our check-in was good and stay comfortable. Unfortunately, we were accommodated in the old building on the right side of the pool, entering from the check-in counter. This building did not have a lift to the third floor, where our room was located. My wife and I found it difficult to go up the stairs. We were both senior citizens.

It’s a terrible check in . They put us close to the garbage . I can provide the pic . It’s a hazardous area compared to the rest . We tried to complain several times but they keep on ignoring us and prioritized the others who will just check in without issue . An issue should comes first . They only took action when my family member went to Barangay office in boracay ( it’s where you complain for hazard and other health related issues .

The overall stay was fantastic. The staff were fantastic, and the location was amazing. We hardly spent time in the room considering that the White Beach was right out the front of the hotel. Spending most of our time there and in the nice and heated, albeit not huge, pool was the perfect vacation.
At the end of the heavily developed part of the White Beach, you won't need to go far to find something unique to do or something to eat. Additionally, the location is right in the middle of the island so you can get to anything around by Trike in <=15 minutes.
The staff were great and helpful, the facilities clean, location perfect, and island amazing.
You'll enjoy your time at Astoria Boracay.

Best Value on the Beach

om the moment I walked into the door, I felt welcomed. I was warmly greeted by all staff and security. The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. Toiletries were provided. I was given a complimentary fruit basket and upgraded tona poolside room. Ivan with the glasses at the front desk was so helpful and accomodating. Milo the dining manager noticed every little detail. For example, the breakfast table had a slight wobble, but he noticed and fixed it right away. The location of this hotel is in a prime spot. What a comfortable stay. It is definitely worth a little extra money tonstay there. You can pay more for less at other hotels, but this one provides excellent value for your money. Thanks to everyone there for making it a great stay

I like that the property is beach front . I like that the staff maintain the exterior of the property really well and the pool. The staff and very friendly and accommodating and helpful . Buffer Breakfast that’s included with the rate is also good . The only thing that make it a four star is the shower and the bathtub need an update .and also the sink was not draining well during our stay , even after fixing it . Those are minor issues but shower is very important ... so they should upgrade it . It is old

Very good front desk personnel

There was a storm incoming prior to our trip and the front desk immediately updated us of the situation. They called me personally to inform us that the ferry was not allowed to cross. Until the time that the phone lines and cell sires got damaged, we were frequently updated. I will come back for sure.

Great hotel in a perfect spot

The hotel is lovely and is in a great position on White Beach (the main strip of Boracay for restaurants, bars and clubs). You are close enough to quickly walk left down the busy strip, or, turn right and within a few minutes you are into the quieter station with a more tranquil beach to relax on (this is why we chose to stay here on two occasions!) The breakfast is good and the hotel has an amazing band on each evening which you can watch from some tables on the beach with a mango shake or a cocktail. The staff are really lovely and helpful and if you need a rest from the craziness of the Boracay strip it's a brilliant hotel which is built to offer privacy right by the pool where you also gets lots of sun! Many other hotels have their pool on show from the strip which I wouldn't find as relaxing. The only item we noted on our latest trip was that there was an unannounced renovation on some of the rooms across the pool.

Honestly diving to Astoria we were a little worried as we looked at the surrounds. Once we got to the hotel we were quite surprised. The room was quite nice. The pool area was nice but once going to the back of the resort it was beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and made sure we had whatever we needed. Two of the servers at the restrauant we amazing. They made sure our food was good as well as reserved us places in the day as well as in the evening. I actually should have written their names down to recognize them. We are actually going next to Astoria in puerto next. Just don’t compare the rooms to Americanized rooms.

Great staff but a lil moldy smelling in our room

The room is nice and modern and clean but there is the moldy smell in the room we first stayed at, but they moved us right away when we complained. The next room was just slightly moldy smelling so we just took that one.
But the staff made up for that, they are really kind, pleading and accommodating. Place looks cute and clean, buffet is yummy too

Upon arrival, they did not gave us our welcome drinks. The following day, we received a call at 9 in the morning just to remind us not to hang clothes in the hallway. They are offering free drying services for the swimsuits but when I called to avail their services, I was told that the dryer is not working. I also noticed during the duration of our stay all guests hang their clothes along the hallway. They do not have 24 hrs room service. Although their staff are all friendly.

Nice hotel at great location, near d mall for walking in 10mins.
Room is big, including table, dishes (eat at room),microwave,and space is big too.
Only one disadvantage is some type of rooms that don't have Windows .

The Hotel was great except for the WiFi is too weak and slow connection. There was a bad odor in the bathroom. I don't know where it came from. The Shower and The bath tub was combine and I dont like that idea. The staff and service was great.

Modern hotel by white sandy beach & attentive staf

Excellent service with modern design. Better if sunbeds were not blocked by wall like "wind breaker"(which is common along hotels here except for a few - see photo) - blocked wind & seaview. Booked into a deluxe room with 2 queen beds - new & clean with a bit of damp smell perhaps due to absence of sunlight. Room has no windows but has glass wall facing corridor.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. The construction was kind of annoying as it was happening in the room right above us when we stayed here. Breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious! Pictures make the pool look a lot bigger than it seems but it was still enjoyable and water was clean!

The hotel is well located being close enough to access the main water sports activity centres, bars and restaurants but not so close be to be too noisy. Great pool to cool off in after a day on the beach and in the sea. Big clean and modern rooms well suited to families. Excellent. We would definitely go back.

We stayed here for a week with 2 children. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located right on the beach and as mentioned before the hotel staff were exceptional. Downsides were it was a little noisy from both the road traffic and beach entertainment and the beds were a little small and there was a smoking area right outside our non smoking room. Breakfast buffet was nice but a little to orientated towards Philippino cuisine for us particularly for the children.

Hotel is near to the beach, but poor maintenance.

Bad condition in the bathroom, the tub was clogged, not worked after fixed. The worst, toilet bowl was clogged too during the last night I stayed. And, I had food poisoning during the night. Never wish to think back how bad was the night. It's definitely not deserved with the price I paid.

super loud music was an issue

Our 16-year old daughter called it "the hotel from h$lll" due to the Ultra-loud music played by the DJ and the band from dusk til almost midnight. the bar next door was just as loud playing 100+decibels of DJ music for the firedance entertainment.it was like a competition on who can be the loudest! is it a hotel or a club? how are the guests supposed to have a restful sleep with the music pounding til almost midnight? then the club guests move from the club and continue their party at the pool side outside the hotel rooms til the wee hours of the morning. let this be a warning to people like us ( likes peace and quiet after 10pm) or an invitation to people who love to party all night (loud music is not an issue). we moved out after the 2nd night. we did not want our poor choice of a hotel define the rest of our stay in boracay. it was not all bad. during the day, the hotel is perfect. nice location, nice rooms and amenities, lovely staff. but the night staff are not empowered to resolve the loud music issue at night. perhaps they have been desensitized, or maybe because their front desk is located at the back of the hotel, away from the noise. apparently no managers after 10 pm. the hotel manager was very apologetic when i met with him on our 3rd day.but we had to go. the dj next door was also kind enough to turn the music down on our request on the second night. nice people. it is boracay after all. we will be back. but not here.

The Astoria Boracay is a diamond among the rough.

From the moment my family arrived until we checked out the Astoria treated us like royalty. The hotel staff went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel comfortable, relaxed, and entertained throughout the week.
In particular, Hazar greeted us at the dock in the Astoria van and drove us to the hotel. He filled us in on where to eat, what to see, and what to do during our stay. After following his recommendations we learned that he gave us great advice. Later in the week Hazar even gave us a private tour of the island!
The breakfast buffet at the hotel was exceptional. Rosanne and John John made sure we were comfortable and started every one of our days with a big smile and pleasant conversation. Both of them went out of their way to check on us when they saw us outside of the restaurant as well.
Our stay at the Astoria was fantastic. I have paid much more money for hotel rooms and received far less service. I would recommend the Astoria Boracay as the perfect hotel destination for a vacation in Boracay.

Astoria is a great hotel, right from the staff to the hotel design to the room comfort and the food. Very rare to find a genuinely nice set of staff and Astoria has done a great job with that. We were checked in early to our rooms without even asking for it. Location is fantastic and right on the White beach and just at the end of the whole stretch of bars and restaurants around the d'mall area. (Though I must admit that the water sports activity centre right next-door spoils the peace of the front beach area, but was not a real issue for us).

Design of the hotel is very chic and modern and we really liked it. Pool and the sunbeds are really nice too.

Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Boracay !

Phenominal service & great location

Astoria is a great place to have some rest & enjoy. Very conveniently located on the beautiful white beach, it has a lot of dining, shopping & activity options within walking distances. The staff is great at providing personalized attention and really understand the imprtance of service in this industry. In the end this service takes the overall experience at Astoria up a few notches. Our room was directly across the pool and even though the pool is relatively small and in the middle of the hotel (with all the rooms opening onto it), there was enough opportunity to relax & let the kids have fun. The breakfast was good with enough choices and as with everything else, the service was always with a smile & prompt. The two major drawbacks with this hotel are the lack of windows in the rooms & not enough bright lights which make it somewhat dingy, especially on an overcast day & the second is the noise from all the activities which run till late at night and can be easily heard in the rooms. Some may actually like being so close to all the "action" but for us (travelling with 2 kids), it was more of a bother when it interfered with the sleep till well past midnight. Inspite of these, the overall experience was very good and Astoria scored very high due to the excellent service & attitude of the staff. Would love to go back there if we go back there.
