Very disappointing

For these kind of prices, this boutique hotel definitely needs to up its game, there are NO USB plug points in the room, not even 2 pronged plugs, there is 1 international plug! The bath towels were tiny not even bath sheets. The bathroom window had no burglar bar on and could not be shut. In all the boutique hotels we have stayed in in South Africa, this was the MOST disappointing

Very old world charm historic building, amazing views from roof terrace of mountains, ocean and city. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is cooked to order and has very good options. The food was very fresh and tasty.

Outstanding Stay

The service at this establishment is exceptional, the location is extremely convenient, and the breakfast selection is truly impressive. You can also enjoy a variety of freshly brewed coffee and other menu items. We tried the egg Benedicts and they were absolutely delightful. Furthermore, the staff members are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us wish we could have extended our stay.

What this property lacked in certain amenities (iron, electrical outlet in bathroom) was certainly compensated for in hospitality, warmth and friendliness. This property is somewhat out of the way as far as access to the waterfront, museums, beaches, attractions, etc; all requiring a cab or Uber. The included breakfast was moderate but filling and freshly-prepared per order. The room was large with the bathroom encompassing 50-percent of total square-footage. Although I wasn't completely comfortable with a door-lock requiring a key to exit the room, I became used to it. The maid staff were great and attentive and the reception crew provided the proverbial \"cherry-on-top\" with their kindness and smiles. During my 6-day stay, I quickly came to knew each of them and considered them \"family\" up to my check-out. My room's carpet could use replacing due to the evident wear-and-tear and slight smell of mold (most likely from the heavy rainy-season). If you are looking for peace & quiet all the while being treated like VIPs, I highly recommend this property.

Quaint hotel, good location!

Quaint hotel in a nice location just off the Cape Town CBD. As hotel is small it can be noisy if a large group are staying and most of the room doors are also the windows which open directly onto the walkways so not that private, and if you close the curtains you sit without view / in the dark. Rooms are nice, bathrooms modern, very friendly staff and good breakfast.

Pleasant location very easy access to city & attractions. Fabulous staff & amazing chef, great breakfasts & dinners. All the check in staff were lovely especially Liane who was always happy to help us in any way, including getting us up & running on Uber! Highly recommend to anyone wanting a unique experience in Capetown, great roof terrace with Table Mountain view.

I loved Three Boutique. Everything. I’m cycling the world—700+ hotels around the world and this is one of my favorites. Let me count the ways:
Staff—everyone—desk staff, breakfast staff, housekeeping staff—are lovely, gracious, warm people. Ashlin, Leoni and Pieter, all from from the front desk, were exceptionally welcoming, helpful and just downright lovely people at this small, beautiful, historic-building hotel.
The rooms. I had three, all fantastic, all super clean, super comfortable and lovely. Great sleep on super beds on a quiet cul-de-sac in interesting OranjeZicht, also a close and interesting walk through the park to the CBD (10-15 min.). Robes! In room Nespresso-pod type coffee! Sherry! Mini fridges! Just great!
The breakfast. Superb—delicious variety of fresh fruits, muesli, plain yoghurt (plain—hooray!). Hot made to order breakfasts also looked good, but I always go for fruit, muesli and yoghurt. All first rate. Delicious REAL coffee—no instant.
The Roof Deck—utterly amazing! Fantastic views of Table Mountain—up close and personal in all its glory and many moods. Serene and fantastic.

Oh, did I gush enough about all the staff? They are all great!

Stay here—you can’t and won’t go wrong!

Thanks again Ashlin, Leoni and Pieter and all of you lovely,lovely women for the great breakfasts and rooms. I had a wonderful ten days, spread over three rooms and three visits—thank you all!

Lovely boutique hotel

I spent one night here as I was attending a conference close by. Although I arrived very late, a staff member was available to show me to my room. The hotel manages to combine an historic old building with modern rooms - a comfortable bed, good linen and great shower. Some paint work in the bathroom was a bit shabby and in the early hours of the morning I was awoken by noisy neighbours. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented and - a bonus - they have a real cuppachino machine. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Great Service !

This is my first trip to South Africa and was pleasantly surprised to have a driver waiting with my name outside airport clearance. Do note that I had not arranged for pick up so this was done solely at Three Boutique's discretion. Thanks guys!
The Hotel is in a quiet and safe location with good views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel areas and room were really clean . Enjoyed their breakfast and that decanter of sherry in room every night (smile)
But most of all the staff especially Liani and Peter were wonderful. They provided good suggestions on area visits and were happy to do their best.
City Sightseeing Bus is a good way to get around and see Cape Town - a must do.

It's a comfortable and reasonably-priced hotel. Breakfast is included and quite good. The staff is friendly. Our only issue, and it's a minor one, is that the wifi was spotty. However this is a problem we ran into throughout the city. On the whole, we would definitely stay here again.

Going the extra mile....

From the time we arrived, after midnight, our experience was one of pure joy and pleasure. Everybody that we came into contact with, from the cleaners to the manager, went out of their way to ensure that our trip was without fault. Very reasonably priced (includes a choice of breakfasts), stunning coffee machines in the rooms, airconditioned, small fridge (unfortunately our was not working) , beautifully appointed bathrooms with a heated towel rail, extremely comfortable beds etc....etc. I could go on and on. What more can one want. I can highly recommend it to the most discerning of travellers. If I have one gripe it is that there is no view whatsoever, unless you go onto the roof top braai area.

A very nice guest house

We stayed for several nights at The Three Boutiques hotel, the location was very nice within a short drive to the Waterfront, with a fantastic view of Table Mountain from the roof terrace. The staff were very helpful, we arrived early due to an overnight flight, they allowed us to have breakfast & managed to get our room ready early. If being a bit picky, the only very slight criticism was that the eggs at breakfast were always slightly overcooked with the yolk being hard & not runny. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay & would be happy to book here again.

This was a brilliant little place with a nice story behind it and with great and friendly staff. The owners have shown that attention to detail means everything to them. The management and staff went out of their way to book trips and sightseeing tours and other activities for us which made it so easy for us. They advised on what to do, when to do it and booked it all on our behalf. Thanks 3 Boutique Team. You guys were great!!! This is the kind of place we won't hesitate to go back to.

Beautiful hotel amazing service

We arrived and immediately Simba made us feel welcome. He showed us around and our room was beautiful and comfortable right next to the pool.
We ordered room service and the food was divine.
After a very lovely sleep we spent the afternoon by the pool.
The hotel has amazing history and the in room booklet was informative and interesting.
I would definitely recommend.

Mixed experience at a well-located hotel

In theory, this hotel should appeal, but there was just something off. The room I had was smallish, and made to feel smaller by the way it was organised. While there were all the usual conveniences for a modern 3-star hotel, and slightly more, these had a slightly Ikea-esque feel, and therefore calling the hotel a boutique seemed pretentious.

The reception staff was friendly and welcoming but not exactly polished in their service.

The shower had a tendency to flood the bathroom and overall, the place wasn't as memorable and desirable as one would have hoped: it just hadn't quite decided what it was going to be.

Mixed experience at this hotel.

The neighborhood is far from the main attractions so if a getaway is what you are looking for, this place will be great. Excellent views of table mountain from rooftop terrace. Cute, but tiny, pool.
However, the setup of this place makes it kind of noisy. The wind races through the exterior corridors, shaking the windows and doors. Birds hang out right outside the rooms as well and make all kinds of noise.
The place is clean but needs additional updating. The roof was leaking in the bathroom, causing puddles in the floor. Additionally, there was some water damage to the walls and doors.
Had some issues with lack of privacy and service in general. THere are no \"do not disturb\" signs in the rooms. Staff came in at all hours of the day, with no more than a quick knock as they were walking in. Towels were often not replaced (either one or both were missing). When I wanted to check out, I waited about 30 minutes for someone to arrive who could take my payment. This place is definitely not staffed 24 hours.

Great place for a great vacation!

Excellent staff! 100% satisfied! The hotel location is a little far from the CENTER like museums, restaurant, only about 5 minutes, but the hotel has a shuttle that can take you everywhere for a small fee. Very nice place to stay, a lot of trees around, an excellent view of table mountain. That was a must for me! to see table mountain in its full view every day! Quiet and very safe area. Wi-FI is excellent! Nice place overall!

Amazing place to stay

Really enjoyed our three day stay at Cape Town at this beautiful guest house. On arrival we were shown around and given a complimentary drink. Advice on what to do was brilliant and only a 10min walk to the tour bus which is amazing. Restaurant advice was excellent & shuttle service to the waterfront was just what we needed to catch the rest of the football game. The roof top view is stunning of the mountain and to watch the sun go down. Pool is solar heated and always had it to ourselves. Breakfast has many choices including pancakes & all sorts of eggs. Would stay here again when we next go Cape Town as such value for money. The owner is very friendly & always willing to help. Organised shuttle back to the airport & even picked up other friends on the way for an amazing price. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
