Initially booked a Superior room, after a few days I noticed an awful smell. We were moved to another Superior room on a smoking floor, during the night we spent there the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking. Due to the unavailability of another Superior room, we were upgraded to a deluxe room. Due to constantly being moved from room to room, we lost a bag of belongings that have still not been found. Overall, I would say that the rooms are extremely outdated and the bathrooms need a good scrub, but the other facilities at the hotel, especially the rooftop pool are good.

Cockroach infested rooms, complained on the first day, moved rooms 3 days after to another infested room, have pictures and videos to prove this.

The price compared to the place is not worth it.
As the place is old.
And the cleanliness of the bedrooms and the kitchen needs to be monitored more, and it is also preferable to use insecticides in the place.

Terrible nights stay in two bedroom apartment. Out of date food in the fridge, previous occupants hair extensions in the kitchen drawer, body hair in the beds, ripped linen, mirrors not cleaned, no smoking room stank of smoke like an 90’s night club and furniture was run down to stay the least.. would never stay here again for any reason

My cousin and her husband have been visiting me at the hotel without asking any identification. And all of a sudden the receptionist won’t allow her to visit me without any identification.

The best part of the hotel is the rooftop swimming pool. Sanju, the lifeguard there is very pleasant and friendly and it's peaceful up there. The gym is ok, enough to have a decent workout.
The hotel overall is a bit dated.

My checkin experience was great, I was informed that I had been given a free upgrade to have more space as we were three people.

However, after getting our room. The experience went downhill.

Firstly, the shower in the bathroom leaked really badly. There was water all over the floor after using the shower. We spent so much time trying clean the floor as the wet floor is very dangerous.

We informed guest relations several times about this and we had a couple of visits from the staff who informed us the issue has been fixed. But it still leaked and the floor was still wet and was very dangerous.

Secondly, the additional bed we were given had a mattress that was in such a bad state that I got no sleep at all on the first night. In fact I had a sore back as a result. I informed the front desk in the morning explaining about the mattress and the leaking shower. I also told staff that we would be out all day after 11.30 am, I was promised that everything would be looked into and sorted out by the time we got back.

It was not.

So we had to call front desk yet again to ask for the mattress change.

Thirdly, several times we informed guest relations that we are three people and to please provide us with three bath, hand and face towels. Yet we had to

I love the fact that this property is clean, well maintained and gives one a sense of being at home in a quiet and peaceful environment. However, I am not deeply impressed with the unyielding attitude of the staff at the reception at the time of my arrival, who had difficulty understanding that, unless stated clearly otherwise on the hotel website or other hotel's subsidiaries, when a customer pays for a super deluxe room in a hotel apartment, on arrival the customer excepts to be assigned a room; not a studio. Having travel a very long distance to get to this hotel late in the evening, I cringingly stayed in this facility only two nights to enable me find a better hotel apartment I was happy and comfortable with. I found a better hotel apartment on Al Rigga Road in Deira, which is better and has better customer service. I was really looking forward to spending three weeks of my vacation in one of the hotel apartments in this facility, but the unwillingness of the staff at Movenpick Hotel Apartments in Al Mamzar, Dubai to work with me made this hotel to loose me as a customer and guest. Had the hotel staff worked with me in assigning me a \"room apartment\", not a studio, as I had requested, I would not mind spending my entire vacatuion in this factility. My advise to anyone who wishes to stay in this facility is to ask many questions and clarification between super deluxe room and studio; premier deluxe and regular room; and a hotel apartment.

No one explained the master switch to turn on all the appliances and the electrical switches. We had to keep asking for small hand/face/wash cloths and they kept bringing us the big body towels. No one told us that we also needed to leave our key card in the slot in the wall also for the electrical to work.

The hotel is in a quiet area but within easy and quick access to the airport. I booked 2 rooms but we were upgraded to a 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were efficient and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this Movenpick hotel. Actually, we will be staying there again next month when we top over in Dubai.

The suite is large. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with ensuite in each room. There is a kitchenette with large fridge, stove, microwave and washing machine so you could stay quite comfortably with your whole family. The lounge and dining area is also quite large and there is a guest toilet too. Parking is free with valet service provided. The staff are welcoming too!

Awful Experience- do not book!!

Arrived at the hotel at 1am to find that we were placed in a smoking room even though I had requested non smoking as we had small children with us and rooms as close as possible were 4 floors apart. When we requested to sort out the tourism tax in the morning as children were crying they refused and wanted payment there and then. I said to take a copy of my credit card.

The management team do not care if you have an issue and have no customer service skills. We had to request towels everyday and the room was dusty and dirty with broken furniture and specks of paint all over the apartment, crockery and cutlery were scarce and if you did request anything it would take ages for anyone to get it back to you.

A late checkout was requested and we were told it would cost £70 for 5 hours - I had to go online and was able to book the whole room for cheaper from their own website.

I felt like the management team were always hiding in the office and did not want to listen or see the problems we had with our rooms

when this was brought to the attention of management they acted as if we were asking something beyond what you would expect of any standard if accommodation, and although they are listed as 5star they consider themselves non rated as they are apartments which I would totally agree.

We didn't have a day without an issue that needed to be reported. However when speaking to the front desk manager Ahmed about overall issue he just made excuses!

Worse hotel experience I ever had!!

Hotel was overbooked, forced into a smoking room with four kids. They \"refreshed\" the room which they sprayed air freshener over everything causing the pillows and chairs to remain wet for 28 hours. Promised to move us the next day but didn't have the rooms \"available\". Housekeeping ringing the doorbell and came in at 0300 in the morning with a mixup to clean the room. Very persistent about us paying for breakfast when it was supposed to be included. Worst experience ever at a hotel.

The hotel was very nice especially for the very good price. We enjoyed the facilities and room was very quiet. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We couldn't figure out how to use the stove in our apartment and they sent someone to the room straight away to show us how to work it.
Although my husband and I are excellent speed walkers we found the metro to be to far from the hotel. It took about 10-15 minutes to walk there and took taxis after our first day.

Staff were friendly and helpful, giving me information and directions when requested; I was upgraded as well to a huge suite, which was spotless and of the highest quality. Internet was good. I was also allowed to stay an extra hour after checkout. The supermarket in the same building was extremely convenient. All in all, a pleasurable and problem-free stay, and great value for money.

I've stayed here 18 times over the last four years. Yes of coarse I've got a choice, I stay for the convenience of the grocery store right on site. They have enough movie channels to keep me happy. The kitchenettes are the biggest seller for me. It's very simple... if it ain't broke don't fix it!!! This is more or less my home away from home. If you want to just relax, take a chill pill, prepare your own meals, enjoy a nice quiet hotel this is it.
