Apartment had cockroaches, building and apartment has strong smell of spices. Parking is advertised as available but is actually for an additional daily fee. Anyhow what really was a no no for me is the cockroaches, which is what made the stay terrible, as a hotel that should be controlled, unless they have a cleanliness issue.

Extremely rude reception staff

The entrance is in the car park and had a strong sewage smell. Once in the hotel is was better and clean enough. However, my wife made this booking in my name with her credit card as security. The reception staff cancelled my booking as it was not my card, although payment was supposed to be taken at the hotel usu g my card with me present My wife called from UK and spoke to them they agreed to accept my card as the booking was in my name. However the next morning the new reception staff said my booking was cancelled and i had to pay new rate as they had no note saying existing rate would be honoured. They actually said pay it or leave! Clearly they just wanted a booking made directly cutting out agents and charging more for the same!
I would not stay there ever again after such a huge issue being made that could have and actually was resolved

Pathetic experience with abysmal service levels

The front desk does not even understand the meaning of the word Customer Service. This hotel is not fit to be listed on any E-commerce website. Nasty fights with customers over trivial issues are common. It's best to avoid this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Dubai.

I was conveniently located near everything. Great size of rooms we rented 2 bedroom apartment and it was great. Hotel need extrema cleaning in the bathroom they have mold and out dated. Water press of the shower's are so low that it will take you a while to take shower.

No longer a nice place to stay

This is no longer the Al Manar Hotel that I used to book rooms for stay years ago. I checked in on the 23rd of November for an 9 nights stay. I called room service three times and after 1 hour my requested item was delivered. Room service is very slow. Cooking range cannot be used and washing machine is defective. Very poor maintenance. Room service is not prompt. No longer a nice hotel to stay. This used to be a good hotel years ago.

A very pleasant stay.

Had a 3 day stay while exploring Dubai. Apartment had everything we needed for self-catering. Nice to have free underground parking. Fast internet. Very friendly staff. Easy to get to areas of Dubai and lots of grocery stores etc within walking distance.

My parents are staying in this property and they have nothing to say but praise. Staff have been very family and helpful because my parents are their medical treatment for my father. They love the rooms, mother love the kitchen area and the rmtiry structure of the hotel.

Arrived early & had to wait 2 hours for room & got upgraded to two bedroom but it was of no benefit to us. Huge area with kitchen but it did not have pots etc. did not need lounge area. The pool area ok but did not use. Close to airport was only reason we stayed here. Nice local restaurants in the area.

You get what you pay for....Rooms are spacious but poorly equipped - had to ask for towels, bath/shower mats, fixing of the A/C (although these were fixed eventually), and then on check out charged for broken glasses which we were not responsible for we presume caused by the cleaner. Some items (eye medicine in fridge), airplane headrest, USB drive items were accidentally left in the room from visit previous just 5 days earlier - hotel staff claim there was nothing left behind, so could not return any of them. Very poor show.

Comfortable stay for nearly two weeks.

It was an amazing experience for me. The service is discreet but at the same time prompt. They are very helpful and the apartments are big and clean. Only they have to install new refrigerators as sometimes the milk was spoilt . I stayed there for 12 nights and had comfortable stay.

Room - Spacious (pick the studio option that comes with kitchen). There's some weird smell in the room but you get used to it.

Good hotel/apartment. Very close to rail/train.

Located in Old Dubai..a very nice area to get the feel of how the native ppl live. Authentic places to eat were plentiful and very reasonable prices. Many supermarkets around to cook home meals in room. A lot of glitches in the room, stove, microwave. Staff on floor of room very quick to help..staff at front desk somewhat helpful. Everyday my husband requested the cleaning staff to supply us with 2 hand towels...they never would. Make sure to request toilet tissue.. No view from room window at all. Felt very, very safe in area.

Just Awesome - Wonderful Experience !

It's been wonderful 13 days with Al-Manar. Originally Booked was Studio but provided Double Room without any extra charge. Wow ! Free Unlimited Internet with High Speed. Excellent furnishing Inside. Such a lovely Amenities.

I would greatly impressed with their Staff - Especially Mr Santosh - Kerala (India) And Mr Mohammad Saleem - Kenya. Many Many Thanks Guys - It's highly appreciated !

They are the Best Receptionist ever I had experience.

Nice hotel and neighborhood, but I hate thar the internet is chargeable hourly and yet Hotrls.com doesn't say that. So you pay and go there and be surprised that you have to pay 10 ADH per hour.

Cheap and cheerful!

The front desk staff were amazing and tried their hardest to fulfil any request made to them. Housekeeping polite and also helpful.

I have previously stayed in self catering apartments elsewhere in the UAE and had problems with electrical safety and kitchen equipment supplied but no issues here.

Rooms were cleaned out daily to a good standard.

I can't comment on in house catering as I was self catering throughout my stay.

Nice but overpriced compared to other Hotel Apartm

In general, a ok Hotel apartments but little overpriced compared to other hotel apartments on same level in Dubai. For me it is a mystery how the hotel have got the status \"Luxus Hotel Apartments\" There is many \"Standard Hotel Apartments\" in Dubai with much more luxus and much better service. For a guest it's matter, because have to pay 20 Dirhams instead of 10 Dirhams extra per night in Tourist fee. There are not free WiFi and this cost about 20$ extra per day (75 Dirhams) - very expensive.
I decide use mobile internet (200 Dirhams for 10 GB/one month) it is fast and I used my mobile as Hotspot so I had excellent connection much cheaper.
The rooms are in ok condition, there are what you need and clean.
There are many shops, Supermarkets and restaurants around and Metro nearby. Airport just 10 min away. I had to stay in this area, and stay in the hotel 8 days. After I decide move to another Hotel Apartment nearby with more space, better condition, same price and free bottle water, coffee/tea, WiFi and Standard Status !!

We only stayed one night as a stop over. Hotel staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. No view but we didnt care for 1 night. We were happy to stay in Almanar, even with my 7months old baby.

Lovely experience with maintenance concerns

The hotel was well cleaned and staff was very hospitable. Upon entry to the room, the temperature was too cold for comfort causing the need to shut off the Air Conditioning altogether. Turned on the hot water heater, went to the Business Center to use the computer for an hour of pleasant experience, went to the restaraunt for a wonderful dinner experience that took about an hour, and returned to the room. In attempt to bathe, the water was still cold so upon draining the water from the tub, the water spewed up from the floor drain. After calling service desk, I was informed that maintenance was on th e way but after waiting three hours, I went to sleep and the maintenance crew never showed. Left a critique with the check out desk upon departure. It was a pleasant experience in a very nice-looking hotel, but it must address the maintenance issues. I saw other patrons complain and leave early that same evening.

The Apartment is ok for the price 60usd

The Major points for the hotel apartment are
1. closeness to the airport.
2. Nicely Furnished
3. Has a gym and pool
4. Close to a number of supermart
5. Has a fitted kitchen
The Point Against this Hotel
1. You pay extra charges for WIFI or internet use
2. The internet was not available in my room and l had to go to the lobby. This was not okay for me. I was told they were trying to carry out some repair work.
3. The Shower cotton was too close to the people, quite disturbing.

For one or two nights ok.

Not many positives. Price ok. Metro nearby. Staff nice. Internet not for free but with 10 Dirham per hour comparatively cheap. Had stayed there before but found it slightly less comfortable than in the past. The best element is a very, very nice little restaurant when you leave the hotel on the right hand side approximately 10 metres away. The food was amazing.

We stayed for a week and were quite happy.

There are some really nice and helpful staff at this hotel who were courteous and made our first stay in Dubai easier. Our airport arrival time was after midnight but with a special request I made a week before arriving the hotel arranged a late check-in and transfer which is exactly what a weary travelling family needs. The hotel room was spacious and clean and having a kitchen meant we could cook when and what we liked. Our air-conditioned rooms were serviced daily and when there were minor details overlooked such as a missing towel which was quickly resolved when I spoke to the front desk.The staff also gave us help when we needed information in general and helped us with the transfer to the airport on the flight out.

First and fore most this hotel is definitely no 4 star.
Very shabby to Dubai standards. Its in quite away from the Jumearh area, we spent a lot of time there so it was a trek most days to get to and from the hotel.

Near to the Airport
Near to Diera
Also walking distance to the Metro, but if you are a tourist then I suggest you do not use the Metro as at peak times it is packed. A very good service but just too busy.

The staff are very helpful but don’t really resolve any of your problems. Over all I would not recommend it to anyone.

Apartment was well maintained & clean. However hotel staff, esp reception was especially unhelpful & at times rude. I have wot essed rudeness to other hotel guests. Hotel was difficult to find, a few taxis didnt know where the hotel was. Once we spent 30 mins trying to find the hotel. Tv reception was poor, we could barely see what was on tv. Amenity was only the bare minimum. We had to call room service to have them provide towels for us.

stategically located for sights and departure

I arrived a bit late due to snow. Was a bit disappointed when the receptionist kept attending to other people coming in to make bookings and ignoring me who already had a booking, had only a few hours to my flight yet I had called to let him know I would be late. It would also be nice to have some one assist to carry luggage to the rooms let alone direct to the rooms for especially the female clients.

If you have a choice between sleeping on the floor of the Dubai airport, and staying in this hotel, stay in this hotel. Otherwise, skip it. There was no hot water in my bathroom, the towels were the size of hankerchiefs, the desk clerk would not connect me with an AT&T operator, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke, and someone tried to get into my room at 6 A.M. The Metro was within walking distance, though, one positive note.

Decent hotel for the budget traveller

The entrance dosnt give a good impression as you enter via a dark side street. Lobby and overall ground floor is dated and a bit tatty. I was upgraded to a two bedroom suite which was nice. Comfortable and spacious although several large cracks in the walls which wouldnt take much to repair. Cleanliness was good although rugs and sofas need a shampoo. Bed was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep. Was there just one night so dindt try their FB - was going to take breakfast but buffet was very dissapointing. Cheap at Dhs 35 but would have rather paid more and seen a better spread. Best thing was the staff - friendly and efficient. Housekeeping promptly brought an ashtray on request and smiled and greeted me whenever I met them in the corridoor. Michelle on Reception was great. Lovely warm welcome upon arrival from her. Even though she was alone most of the time and had to handle phone and guests at desk she did so with professionalism and warmth - a real asset to the Hotel.

I just wish i had taken photo's to prove what a dreadful place this was, very hard to find in one of the worse areas of Dubai. The smelt and looked like it had been used as a brothel. chairs had stains everywhere. I was meant to be there for 3 nights but checked out the first morning, even locals would not recommend this hotel. Be warned.

They need to work more on cleaning, the staff is good, the sitting sofas need changing, however, they do follow up on the daily room cleaning, the beds are clean, only the sitting (tv) room need more cleaning.

First of all. The room was very nice. But overall I was very disappointed in the room I stayed in because of several factors: The first is the location. The enterance is under a parking garage. 2. I had a cold shower. 3. There was a tea pot, but no coffee, tea or other condiments in the room. When I called and asked, room service only offered to bring a cup of coffee. 4. The hair dryer only blew cold air. 5. There was no wireless internet in the room like it says. 6. There was no robe or scales (which is no big deal) in the room like it says. 7. Yes it had a balcony, but my view was a dark building with no view what-so-ever. 8. Lastly, smoking room was an option to click when getting room, and I was informed there are no smoking rooms, so u can just smoke in the room! I smoked on the balcony.

This hotel is not easy to find and is in a bit of a wack neighborhood. However, it is very close the airport and that is very convienient. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but one inside this is a pretty nice place. The room has a lot of amenities and the multi room suites are top notch. Heck of a kitchen!

Good Hotel, but still requires improvements

The Pros,
1- Cleanliness.
2- Modern Furniture
3- Good Air Conditioning
4- Near Restaurants and other interesting shops.
5-Quite

The Cons:
1- Staff was helpful, but need a lot more training.
2- Non- smoking rooms are not really non-smoking, they have no way of enforcing the non-smoking rule, therefore, in essence all of their rooms are smoking rooms.
3- Their room key system simply dose not work, they really need to install a new one.
