The resort is old and lacking in being maintained. The bedroom was neat, clean and bed comfortable. The bathroom had stains all over the roof and shower fittings kept coming apart. No hot water first night but was fixed immediately when told staff. Our key card stopped working and we repeatedly had to go to front desk to get it renewed. The restaurant had very nice food but the breakfast menu not so good. The large outdoor pool was lovely but got very busy later in the day with local guests. The other 2 pools were closed for maintenance. Lots of staff who were very friendly and helpful. Location was great and there was a large supermarket over the road.

I recently encountered an issue with a booking error, resulting in the wrong date. I personally visited the hotel to request a change to the following week, but they were unable to accommodate this change. It’s unfortunate, as I frequently visit the area and was considering a 30-day stay if the accommodation met my needs. It seems a missed opportunity for both of us. I had hoped changing the date would be a straightforward process.

This hotel is pretty nice and in a relatively convenient but quite busy location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating plus the food at the restaurant was quite good. We really enjoyed the pool and the views from the beach. Swimming off the beach is probably not an option as it is quite shallow but it is nice looking and well kept.

I love the accommodation with balcony and the prompt service. I love the hospitality of everyone. Despite the effects of typhoon Odette, Jpark was functional and waa able to feed us with their sumptuous buffet. Great nob JPark

The water flow was poor to nonexistent in our room and others. Two of my friends had to change rooms three times to be satisfied, another had a room whose door did not lock, another had a room with a window that did not close completely and was accessible to intruders. The room key facility wasn’t working so every time we wanted to get into our room a staff member had to let us in.

Expedia should remove this hotel from their website. No running water in the room. Took them all morning to fix but still not enough to have a shower in. The kettle stunk. The toilet flushed with dirty water. The staff at the poolmade me go back to my room and wait for pool towels to be delivered. Reception staff were not helpful. The hotel is set up for Japanese Chinese and Korean package tours. They closed off 75% of the pools as they had a private bank rent out the pools so we couldn’t use them. Place was old and worn and dirty Not a good experience.

I needed to stay in the area. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was good. I had no time to use the pools. Bathroom sink tended to cause splashing outside of bowl. Safe was unsecured/movable. One elevator was out for \"Preventative Maintenance\". Though I never saw anyone work on it during my 4-day stay. No wi-fi in rooms.

Elevators are really slow, it does make you think twice about running up to your room again. No wifi in the rooms only the lobby - and that didn't work 2 of the 3 days I was there.

Not satisfied this hotel need tlc bathroom have mold , fan not working, wall is so thin you can hear any noise in the hallway and outside.We booked for 4 people but they only give two towel a day and no towel for the swimming pool.You need to go to the lobby for the enternet.

A nice stay if you get it in the $50 ish range.

Beach was not what the picture makes it out to be, muddy, garbage floating, very little fine sand. The beds were hard as a rock it had no spring whatsoever. The location was close to the street which was nice and the pools were great, no towel service at the pool.

Inexpensive place to stay

You get what you pay for and I didn't expect a 5 star resort. What the facility lacks in upgrades is made up for by the incredible staff. They are all so nice, attentive and helpful.

Everything about the hotel / resort facilities was very good. The pools were great especially the slide. It is very convenient for any water based activities but no beach as in sand.
The service was not good. We are a family of 3. Asked for fresh towels at desk after swim. They never came. Called to ask again. We finally receive one only. There was no high chair for dinner. Grrr. 2 very nice waitresses helped take care of our son while we ate.
Mostly this place seems to cater for Korean tour groups. There was one hot Korean there so it was good ha ha.
The view of the water, boats and Islands from the balcony is very nice. I would recommend this place for couples and family with young children. It is very close to Mactan grand mall which is good. Taxi to there less than 100P.

Beware of this hotel...false advertisement!!

They advertise WiFi in public areas but it doesnt work. Kept getting bumped off every 20 minutes and the bandwidth was worse than dialup. Phones dont work in any of the rooms. And no hot water either! The front desk wont credit you for amy of these deficiencies. They just say \"sorry sir\". This is why they charge in advance coz they know you will check put early. What a nightmare!

Generally good. The a/c was not cold enough but room is spacious and clean. Have great view also. Complete room amenities, with microwave oven, ref, water heater, water boiler, had separate kitchen sink. Very nice. Staffs are very courteous and hospitable. Pools are great with slide for the kids. Bar at pool side is also ok. The lowtide didnt give nice view of the beach. Can't swim at the beach, too many sea slugs.

Enjoyed the pools. Food we ordered was good. Free breakfast was nice. Should have better grounds management. Perhaps early and late walk arounds. Entrance needs landscaping work. Carpet in the halls would be a big help with noise. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will come back

Bad experience from arrival, flights were delayed so we arrived later than expected. check in was smooth but we waited a while to get to our room as only one lift was working for all 10 floors of the hotel. we were hungry but all restaurants were closed. The AC in the room is terrible and hummed and cluttered, the shower wasn't working, basically dripped with no actual water, the fridge was broken, which was inexcusable, especially in that amount of heat. All of this was reported several times but the only thing that was fixed was the shower, and even then it was merely running. the staff were pleasant and tried to help, but the actual hotel needs renovation. There was a party a block away with loud music so we stayed up until 3am, we asked to switch rooms but were told we had to pay extra to stay on the other side of the hotel which was quieter. The pools were nice, but were used by people from outside the hotel so a little crowded, the roof top pool was out of use. The breakfast buffet was mainly Filipino food, the lunch/dinner menu was limited but what was served tasted good. The wifi could only be accessed in the lobby and during the day was really bad. I feel like the once the hotel is renovated it would be a better stay.

Very friendly and courteous staff. They go out of their way to assist hotel guests. I had a problem with the local tour I arranged while I was in Manila. I asked the help of the young lady at the reception area and she helped me without hesitation. She even called another male staff and he used his personal phone to help me talk to the manager of the tour company. Unfortunately, because I was too upset at the tour company, I forgot to get their names. The hotel staff, from the young people assigned to open doors, the receptionists, the kitchen helpers, housekeepers, waiters and waitresses, gardeners, and janitors, are the assets of this hotel.
The hotel itself needs major refurbishment but the customer service I experienced at this hotel needs no improvement. They are excellent employees. I thank them all.

Adequate hotel for short stay

This hotel is suitable for a one night stay if you are just arriving or departing from Mactan airport.

There is not much of any dining area for lunch/ dinner, though there is no extra charge for room service.

On the map it looks very close to the airport, but it's still about 20 minutes away. It has a private beach, but the water is very shallow for a long way out and we never saw anyone swimming in it (just foraging for sea urchins). You cannot walk along the beach to any other places.

White taxis ( the cheapest, safest and most comfortable option to get around) can be called in without a surcharge (unlike many other hotels on the island)

The hotel looks old. Although,the room was big,it looks old. The tv is old. They only provide two pillows which means one pillow for each two double bed and is quite uncomfortable as two of us sleeping in each bed. Imagined you sleep sharing a small pillow. There is no wifi also in all rooms. Even their lobby the wifi is very weak. During my entire stay i cnt connect to the internet. The service was good as staff were very polite and accomodating. The pool was great but the beach was dirty. Overall,it was just okay. Nothing fantastic.

Under the Marcos Communist Regime

They need new management. This hotel has potential, but the management causes a bad atmosphere. For example, I was talking to the girl at the counter, then all of a suuden the general manager butts in and act like the front desk girl is not even there. Then I was in the elevator and gm went in and started yelling at the employee in front of my kids. The pool was also managed as if we were visiting a maximum security prison.

Worst experience!!!!

It's a worst experience for us booking this hotel!!! When we arrived we are ask by the manager that they will transfer us to another hotel resort as the room we are staying the door cannot be open & it will take awhile someone can open it.The resort staff send us to that said hotel to our surprised its not a resort & no beach or swimming pool its just a small pension house & small room around around 5-8mins drive or 20 mins. walking distance from the resort.EGI Manager lied to us that it will be the same hotel resort type its just no swimming pool but with a beach.

We ask the staff to send us back to the resort & just stay for awhile We decided to just go back home straight instead sleeping in that pension house much lower rates per night & big difference with what we paid for this booking as we booked a family room for 4 persons.
This booking was a family get away as our family just stay the next town & our 1st time to this resort we just wanted to have a short getaway in a resort & not just sleep in a pension house. Even taxi drivers told us that we should not booked that resort as they are lousy resort we should booked elsewhere. According also to that the pension house staff this resort been doing this kind of thing for such a long time they always over booked the rooms & they will just send the guest to other hotels/pension house lower rates than them.

Please don't waste your time in this resort find elsewhere. We won't be back in this resort ever again!

The hotel looks like it is being modernized improved. The outside area around the pool was very tired and staff looked like they were trying to Imove the area. This hotel is mainly catering to the Asian market. Staff struggled with English but we're very friendly. Breakfast was vast with lots of choice. The restaurant was nice but was not used much

I enjoyed my stay at the EGI Resort and Hotel. The room was comfortable. The cable offered many channels that came in clearly. I like the fact that there was a water heater, so I was able to make my coffee whenever I wanted it. The pool water was nice and warm. I loved it and I had a great time with my fiancé. Thank you EGI

I will say it is one of the worst hotels I have stayed on and cannot recommend anybody to go there.
There is no beach, no umbrellas or sun loungers. It is also state there are free Wi-Fi, this is only in the reception – internet at the room cost extra and only work sometimes very slow.
Several items in the rooms are none functional, like AC, Fan, bathtube hot water etc.
You coulnt see the bottom in the swimmingpool, thats how dirty the water was.
Breakfast was very poor too

Great place for the price, easy to commute from

Though the beach front of the hotel isn't as good as some of the other ones, you can easily go to the better beach areas from EGI. Shangrila/Portofino areas with better beach setup is just a few minutes away and can be biked from EGI. Their pool is pretty ok, swam there a few times and they have 2 separate pool. Areas to eat outside the hotel seems limited to korean/filipino food and the roads outside isn't maintained well but we never had any issues going to them and the prices are very reasonable. There are a lot of massage places to choose from too. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent which is included in my package and if you want to save money from eating outside there's a Savemart close by to get some food and drinks to store in the hotel. Overall I was satisfied with my stay for the price I paid and would not hesitate to stay with them again. They don't have a closet safe though so if you have valuables it's good to bring them with you or lock them in your luggage just to be on the safe side.

The water heater was not working, the pool is murky, the breakfast is so-so. The internet was not free in the room. I was told it was free only in the lobby. When i bought an internet card to try to connect in room the connection was bad so i did not use the wifi card.Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall this is a tired hotel. I will not come back again.

Good on-the-beach for the price

The hotel was good overall. Things to note: after landing in Mactan, stop off at one of many convenience stores and pick up these suggested items to make your stay more comfortable. Soap bar/liquid, filtered water, snacks (there is not gift store there) and toothpaste. Water socks/shoes are good for the beach area there. Swimming pool is nice with one small bar. This is a simple resort-style hotel with most amenities in place though I had trouble with the internet service there and customer service is relegated to an outside third party. Over all, for roughly $60USD its a great deal if you want to be at the beach. Time to the nearest mall is 20 mins, to the city center is 1 hour. Good value

For 1 night we had his nice hotel all to ourselves. There were no other guests (that I saw), so we were free to enjoy the quietness of the place... but, maybe it was a little too quiet. There was a Philippine holiday the weekend we stayed, so this explains the lack of guests. It was nice, but strange. Other than than, the grounds of the hotel was nice; not much of a beach though. Breakfast was OK and the location was so-so; not much going on in the vicinity. There is a small village to look about and some delicious rotisserie chicken to be had.

A clean comfortable room, but not much else.

The hotel gives the appearance of once being, or at least aspiring to be, a class-act five star resort facility. The main hotel building, restaurant and two pools were acceptable maintained, but certainly not up to expectations. There didn't seem to be many guests when we were there. There was much evidence of abandoned construction projects, as though the hotel had high aspirations but was unable to follow through.

The staff, while friendly and courteous, we're not well trained and were unable to provide amenities or local information that you'd expect. By contrast, we visited the spa at the hotel next door and found it to be busy, vibrant with immaculate facilities, helpful staff and a general well-maintained appearance.

The service and staff are fantastic. Nothing seemed to be a problem. However property a bit run down and he hotel restaurant caught fire whilst we were there. Also there is no internet avaliable in your rooms as indicated on booking site. It only works in the lobby.

Very nice place...Rooms were good size very modern, comfortable and clean. I liked the pools very much,they are set up for kids or adults.You can walk to the beach front and get a jet ski very easy.The restaurant was very nice setting with the view of the ocean and boats.The food was defiantly good quality.I went to several and this one was the best.The staff was very friendly. trophe stayed 5-2012

This property needs maintenance. Much of it is being reclaimed by the elements. The ants are out of control and I am still working to control the infections they caused. If you stay here bring Neosporin and use it daily.
The aviary is nice and the staff is good. The location is very good, on the Bay of LapuLapu.

Rooms are not quite what is advertised on the net. Toilet did not work, no water, but they did fix it. Public washroom's do not have toilet paper, you have to bring your own. Meals were good, staff was very accomodating and friendly. No ice in hotel for drinks. No face cloths , we had to buy our own. The hot water was not hot, it was warm. We had to buy our own toilet paper as there rolls are very small and may not last the day. They say they have wireless, but you have to go down stairs in main lobby to receive a good reception . In our room you had to sit by the door in the hallway to get even two bars on the computer. There was no shuttle service to or from the airport, where other hotels provided this. Always had to ask the front desk to get taxi's or vans and took quite some time.

The Hotel EGI in Cebu

sea view room, but no slipper. Small private beach, 3 swimming pool is good. Hotel entertainment is high price. Noise always in room for many Korea pupils live here for study. Seems this hotel is Korea cooperation school.

good location,good reataurants in the area

The hotel is in a nice quiet area and many good restaurant close by,plenty of opportunity for good diving.
The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful when needed and overall I would say it is a good hotel for it's category,not 5 star but nice.

過去の口コミにもありましたが、「朝食付き」で予約したにもかかわらず、実際には朝食が付いていませんでした。

部屋に入った瞬間、下水のようなにおいがしました。しばらく使用されていなかった部屋なのかもしれません。水を流したところ、においはおさまりました。

カードキーの反応が悪く、10回ほど試さないと開かないことがありました。ただ、スタッフにお願いすると一度で解錠できたので、使い方にコツがあるのかもしれません。

エアコンの音が大きく、少し気になりました。

シャワーのお湯が出ないトラブルもあり、スタッフに修理をお願いしましたが、次に使うとまたお湯が出ないという状態で、3泊の間に4回も対応してもらうことになりました。

プールは広く、利用者も少なかったため快適に過ごせました。ただし、毎回フロントでタオルとリストバンドを受け取る必要があり、それが少し面倒に感じました。

ホテル周辺にはスーパーマーケットや飲食店が多く、立地は便利です。

セブシティ中心部に行く予定がなければ、宿泊費も比較的安く、コストパフォーマンスは悪くないと思います。

感想

2回目のセブ島へ。Grabで空港からホテルまで、スムーズに移動できた。町の通りは煙が立ち、空気が汚くて、とても町歩きに出たいとは思えない。
ホテルのチェックインにて、hotels.comのサイトでは朝食無料と明記されているのに、朝食は付いていない、フロントの方に言われた。残念。
予約時に高層階の海側の部屋を希望していたが、三階の部屋で、残念。部屋の床には食べ残しや髪の毛が落ちていて、蚊が飛んでいる。清掃が不十分で汚い。気持ち悪い。
ティッシュ、ハンドタオル、スリッパは無し。冷蔵庫、ポット、水、歯ブラシ、ドライヤーはあり。ホテルの斜向かいにスーパーがあり良かった。
ホテルの前のビーチはジャリで、ホワイトサンドでない。海水の透明度はまあまあ。
ホテルのスタッフは総じて、いい感じでした。
