Nice potential ignored by the owner

It’s a shame the owner won’t pay for a strong pipeline to the Internet. Wi-Fi is very strong but there’s no connection to the Internet. My smart signal was only two bars out of four. If you need Internet, don’t go here.
The swimming pool was filled with about 100 kids when I checked in, and they were still there until dark. I never saw an adult swim time posted.
I was up early in the morning but I never saw anyone cleaning the pool, and the water didn’t seem very clean.
I had a room with a balcony, and the view is spectacular looking at the sea. The room is very spacious, the bed is fantastic, extremely thick and comfy, and for big pillows provided. The bathroom is clean. Those were the best things about the hotel.
There was only one outlet for charging next to the bed. There was a bedside table lamp! However the on off switch been removed and the wire taped so I had to unscrew the bulb when I went to sleep.
The Aircon unit had a filter completely clogged with dust, and the cover had been taped shut, impossible to clean. How stupid is that?
There were a few more outlets around the room, but these days most people like to have the phone charging On a table next to the bed.
The shower was spacious plenty of water and two nice clean towels.
The personal safe was not operating, but they gave me one of the keys!
Walking from my room to lobby, I had to walk in filthy puddles of water and trash in view along with exposed hoses and dirty air con units along the walkway.

Good hotel for the money

Has a small private beach you can take the stairs down to enjoy. Also a few pools for the kids as well as one for adults. Restaurant menu was okay. Free breakfast was from menu and was limited. Staff was fantastic. No wifi in room. There was in lobby with a pw but I wasn't told during check in. Unfortunately there was an event for the families of an adjacent hotel staff for 3 days which made it quite noisy. Quite far from the main road so if you want a taxi that's an additional 100php to the fare. However overall it's a good place for the price.

Very sad, won't come back.

I used to love this resort but it was not how I remembered it years back. Now they've let it go and the staff is not at all hospitable. Pictures posted here in this app is not how the rooms really are. They gave us only one bed when posted are two beds. They said we chose a king sized bed as an option, but on the app it says a choice between a king sized or a double sized bed, thinking the other bed is a default. We arrived with only one bed. When we complained that aircon not working properly, we were moved to a different room and there it was, two beds. This, after booking two rooms over the weekend. Also, breakfast was only for two adults. App description did not specify this. We thought we had two adults, two kids worth of breakfast (plated breakfast, not buffet). Should have gone to our other choice resort.

What a nightmare!

My very first worst hotel and resort experience. Words are not enough to express our disappointment but one thing for sure, we will not stay at this hotel again nor recommend this to our friends. Lessons learned!

Total ocean side relaxation holiday retreat!

Looking for something any major city hotel may not possibly offer, be it for a full lone relaxation or to bond with your close friend/s while free from the urban noises & smells, but still comes with the must-have clean room, adequate amenities & quality service..well, this is IT! I'd visited Cebu just about a dozen times before, including 3 previous hotels of stay also in Lapu Lapu where its airport is located, this time being my very first to spend the entire stay in a hotel by the sea in that region. i was immediately engulfed in its natural as well as man-made beauties after check-in! Lacking of WiFi in the room but only around the lobby and resto-cafe areas did not in any way affect my overall relaxing holiday stay. In fact, i could not recall on top of my head where else i had seen or experienced 3 swimming pools (well, one of them was closed for renovation), let alone to enjoy the great ocean view simultaneously, at such affordable pricing!. To get back to the city life of shopping malls, gourmet venues or evening drinks..just tell the front desk to call for a taxi which always comes over in only 5 to 15 minutes. There's a mere 50 P, or slightly more than a dollar, on top of what the meter reading turns out to show.Given another chance i'd love to go back there again for a full holiday relaxation!

Grand place fading but still worth it

I booked this to relax after a long flight straight to Cebu and wanted to be straight on the beach. The hotel is quite grand and must hae been the best 15 yrs ago a little dated now. The room was comfortable but no wifi ( lobby only) thd staff attentive and friendly. It's a bit out of the way. Has a sm beachfront w nice sand and some snorkelling and really nice pools (2) they let me check in really early 8.30 am! because it was not full, which was a big plus for me. resto was only ok

Cebu on a budget, lower expectations.

There were several aspects of the stay that were fine (two pools, nice view of the water, quiet). The room was what I expected for the price and was perfectly acceptable but not glamorous. Wifi was only available in the lobby. The negatives were centered around the service. The restaurant on site was average at best but they also ran out of beer, mango juice and hamburger during our stay. They were unable to make alterations to anything on the menu. The front desk was unhelpful with arranging off site activities. The hotel itself is very isolated from anything else and requires a taxi or jeepney to get to the main road. Live and learn, I hope to return to Cebu but I won't be staying at Vista Mar.

Horrible. No outside food. No lifeguard.

I had a horrible stay here, and would not recommend multi-day stays, particularly for those coming with family. For those not aware, they have a \"no outside food\" policy that is NOT stated on hotels.com or any of the agreements before you book (Shame on you for not requiring something this blatant to be specified, hotels.com). They confiscated our food which made is quite mad, we left 2 days earlier out of our 4 day stay. The pools are good but no lifeguard on duty (We had a close call drowning experience with our child. Short story: If you're travelling with kids that don't swim, I don't recommend coming here. Long story: hotels.com limits how much I can type, see more details on my tripadvisor review). Other details: No elevator - difficult to navigate toddlers and strollers up and down 3 (or 4?) flights of stairs just to get to room from lobby, especially when they're napping. No in-room wifi, wifi in lobby sucks. Far away from commercial areas, definitely not walkable. \"free breakfast\" only from 6-8AM (Probably to discourage you from actually using it), the beaches really sucked.

Overall, this was the worst part of our trip to the Philippines. As such, I highly recommend avoiding this hotel. Check out my longer tripadvisor review for more specifics.

Has great potential =great location!

Beautiful location - beautiful hotel, clean rooms however, garden areas could use more cleaning and sprucing up so it is attractive to guests.
Staff very nice, coourteous and accomodating.
Front desk should be well lighted and front desk staff's work area should not be on the corner. The way it is right now, it gives the impression that the front desk is not manned because it's dark and you don't see anyone right away.
This hotel has a lot of potential if outside garden areas are well cared for and \"manicured\".
I would consider staying here again next time I am in the area.

Spring Getaway

The hotel is far from many shopping areas, restaurants, etc. The restaurant located in the hotel is only ok, much better options available in town. The free breakfast is good - fruit, omelets and other basic breakfast items. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, however, taxis are required often. No spa amenities and very small beach area.

The hotel is trapped in 1970s. I ordered a cheeseburger that tasted like 30% beef and 70% fat. If you are seriously considering non-lean beef in your cheeseburger then this is your hotel and restaurant. My suggestion is to head out to the hotel next door or go to The Crimson Hotel.

안락하지만 부족한 서비스마인드

장단점이 명확하네요
장점은 예쁜 수영장과 안락한 분위기
단점은 서비스와 청결도
룸서비스가 24시간된다고했는데 호텔자체 전화문제로 인해 룸서비스가 불가능했어요 이틀뒤억도 호텔에 두고간물건이 있어서 연락했는데 전화연락이 안되었어요 문제에 대한 개선의지가 없어보였어요
그리고 수건에 음식이 묻어있어서 찝찝했어요 바닥이 더러운건 이해했는데 청결관리가 잘 안되는것 같아요
가격은 저렴하다지만 서비스가 많이 부족해요

깨끗하고 조용한 리조트

리조트에 객실이 14개 뿐이여서 매우 조용했고, 편안하게 머물렀음
주변에 편의시설이 없어서 다소 불편했으나, 리조트 프론트에 이야기 하면 지프니 셔틀이 5분 안에 도착하여 택시타는 곳까지 무료로 데려다 줌
막탄 시내까지 가려면 셔틀타고 뉴타운가서 택시타면 110페소 정도 나옴
수영장은 인근호텔 수영장을 합해 5곳 정도로 사용이 편리하고 깨끗함
매일 객실을 청소해주어 깨끗하고 주변이 아주 조용하여 가족끼리 휴양으로는 좋은 곳임
직원들도 아주 친절합니다.

プール、ビーチは近いが。。

深夜到着なのでホテルにタクシーを頼んだのですが迎えに来なかったです。
一般のタクシードライバーが新米だったのか、ホテルの場所が分からずウロウロ道を尋ねながらようやくたどり着く状態でした。

写真にあるカエルのプールは滞在中一度も入れず(掃除が終わらないのと、ペンキ塗り直し)残念でしたが他の2つのプールは8時まで入れて、楽しみました。

部屋にはトイレットペーパー補充とバスタオル交換に毎日来てくれますシーツ洗濯はしてくれないようでした。

Wi-Fiはロビーの、電波がいいところでは使えますので、部屋から出てネット接続しに行かなければならない状態です。

Chambre propre mais pas de wifi dans la chambre !

Nous avions réservé une chambre à l'hôtel Vista Mar Hotel situé au bord de mer. Mais surprise à notre arrivé on nous a informé qu'on nous transférait au Mirada Hotel situé env. 300 m , quand au déjeuner on a dû se rendre dans un 3ème hotel !!!

막탄섬 자체가 크지는 않아서 이곳저곳 이동하는데 큰 불편은 없었습니다.

今回1歳、4歳の子をつれて宿泊しましたが、子どもはプールが気に入り快適に過ごせました。
ただ、海は藻がたくさんあって入れなかったのは残念でした。

値段相応です。

周りに何もないので、長くいるのは苦痛かもしれません。

金庫が少し調子が悪いので、時折不便です。
ドライヤーが無いので注意してください。
シャワーのみです。
洗面所は水が出るところが少し不便なところにあります。
まぁ、でも値段とこじんまりとしているところはいいかもしれません。
韓国人がたくさんいました。韓国ぺっぽでは有名なのかもしれません。
wi-fiはフロントのみしか入りません。

ホワイトサンドのビーチと綺麗なプール

ホワイトサンドのビーチは狭いが綺麗に清掃されていて気持ちが良い。プールも二つあって快適。部屋は少し古いが割と広い。韓国人の家族連れゲストが殆んど。静かなロケーションだが、移動手段はタクシーをフロントで呼んでもらわなければならないのが難点。

う～ん？！

ホテルのOUTSIDEは海もプールもきれいで、なによりも朝日がすばらしかった。ただシーズンオフだったのかお客様が少なく閑散としていて、その為かフロントからレストランまで１フロア全体がクーラーが入ってなく、とても暑くて汗びっしょりになり不快でした。タクシーもフロントに予約してもなかなか来なくて、乗ったタクシーもメーターを隠してセブシティまで通常の２倍以上の請求をされました。ただホテルのスタッフはみんなフレンドリーで総合して悪いイメージは持ってません。けど次は行かないでしょう（笑）
