We booked a deluxe sea view and it was great, spacious and right next to the pool. We had issues with the internet dropping out which required an engineer to reset. Could not fill the kettle in the sink due to odd shaped tap, had to use the bath tap. The toilet rocked and the shower head was black. I did make a review comment on arrival giving our room number and the following day the house keeping manager came to our room and had these issues fixed.

The second page of the welcome pack has a full page of amenities and damages charges listing practically everything in your room.

Be aware there is a strict check in time of 1400, and check out 12 midday, signs clearly stating a full additional days charge will be applied if late. Its not a very welcoming experience. Its all a bit OTT.

Great panoramic view from the breakfast area, but don't leave food unattended if you eat outside, the birds will eat it. Plenty of variety of food to eat. A lovely lady on the egg counter making to order, but no poached egg which is my holiday go to.

Some day the lady at the breakfast reception asked if we wanted our room serviced, seemed odd as I expect my room serviced every day on holiday.

Things to be aware of, the hotel is set on a hill side and its a long trek to the top if walking. There are transfer buggies, but you may have to wait. Some of the rooms will have no view at all from the balcony, just a brick wall.

All in all we enjoyed our stay, but they could do better.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Staff is not helpful and do not care about the experience of their guests. Rooms are extremely dirty, I had to throw away my socks from how gross the floor was. Our ceiling started to leak water, we called to notify them immediately, they said they would send a technician. We called again an hour later, still nothing. At this time we also asked for clean towels and toilet paper. We left the room for 9 hours, came back and nothing had been done about the leak and no towels or toilet paper. We went to the front desk and they basically said they didn't care. At 12:30am we got a knock on the door that they wanted to look at the leak. 12:30am!!!
Upon checkout we asked for a refund of one night due to the leak and poor service (we stayed for a total of 3). They refused and said they don't do refunds. Staff was extremely rude.
Upon checkout several other guests were complaining to staff about a variety of problems (broken toilets, no hot water in the villas, bodily fluids found on sheets in a new room) and staff and managers did not care.

Reception was very rude to start. They have a bad attitude and are very transaction oriented. The room was full of insects and ants wherever you go. Though I can’t take away that they have a nice sunrise view. Would recommend booking earlier at a better hotel along the strip. Those are 2 nights and money I’m never getting back. Very poor service overall.

Room needed maintenance and overall cleanliness was poor. I found a roach in the restroom and there were ants throughout the room. Housekeeping did not do a good job, and the customer service was below average—especially from the night shift front desk staff.

Additionally, the hotel requires a 2000 THB deposit but does not accept credit cards for it. Guests are forced to withdraw cash from the ATM, which charges a 5% fee.

They charged 1,200 baht just for a guest visit, which is unreasonably high. It feels like they’re taking advantage of their guests. On top of that, the gaming zone was closed, and even the gym wasn’t available during my stay. Most of the facilities I booked the hotel for were not accessible, which was really disappointing.

Rude staff... ridiculous rules around the key card, towels, check out. Terrible treatment. Filthy bathroom with feces stains on the toilet seat. They Did not clean room every day. They were not kind and offered No hospitality. The only people who were kind were Tip and Sak. Tip and Sak were wonderful!!! Everyone else made me feel unwanted and were extremely rude. The check in lady greeted me with a frown and asked for a voucher as soon as I arrived. I never received a voucher only a receipt via Expedia. I told her I did not have a voucher and she frowned her way through checking me in. When my sister arrived they did not show her to the room. It was a very confusing matrix with a shuttle that is difficult to access...they said my credit card will be held for 2months with a 2000 Baht hold. At check out they the said 14 days. I felt hustled and unwanted. I cannot express how mean and rude the front desk was. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. Terrible, horrible and filthy experience. And, not very nice very nice staff.

The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. I woke up with body aches and stiffness. The staff service was terrible. Staff were rude and barely speak english. The toilet in our room leaked everytime we flushed the toilet. Pee, poop, and water along with toilet tissue came out from behind the toilet. The bathroom smelled. The shower leaked water everytime we showered. I will never stay here again and i dont recommend anyone else stays here. By the way, i complained to the front desk about the toilet leaking. They said someone would go fix it. They lied. It didnt get fixed.

It was a terrible experience with us, it was my honeymoon staycation, the toilet doesn’t seems hygiene at all, the shower tap was broken, I complained several times, they just just to wait for 4 days of my stay. The elevated stairs are off at late night, which was very tough for me to get out of the resort. They are just selling the view and nothing else I would say.
Never expected this from this Andamantra team.

The pictures sale you a paradise, but the reality is that is a very outdated hotel and the cleaning is very poor. I’m the bathroom and aircon were very smelly. The only good thing is the pool view and the small pool were very nice too. Aside from that I would skip this hotel.

Worse hotel ever

This hotel is the worse hotel that I stayed in my life. I have booked 2 bedrooms Villa which looks luxurious in the photos but nothing true.
You need to go up and down 90 stairs every day to get to the room. Aircondition doesn’t work and they sent staff to fix it 3 times. Toilet get blocked after half day of use and we had to call for them to come and sort it out. Showers don’t work
Fridge doesn’t work on my freezer .
Staff don’t care and they just hung up the phone on you … spoke with manager every day to move us to different room and they promise but never happened.
Majority of staff don’t speak English and they send wrong food orders.
All over was holiday from hell ..

Took at least 30 mins each time and they held our passports and wouldn’t give them back until the checked the minibar.

No staff to help with luggage upon arrival. We had 5 luggages with 3 kids and a stroller, lugged our own luggage up a flight of stairs to lobby. Waited over 30 minutes to get checked in. This resort is huge with very limited shuttle carts so it was extremely inconvenient to get to places within the resort. There is also no elevator. Morning of check out we called front desk at 6:30am for someone to help with our luggage. Waited 30 minutes, called again and staff finally came 10 minutes after calling the second time. Needless to say we didn’t have time to have breakfast and was in a major rush because of the delay from staff. How this resort markets themselves as 5 star is beyond me. Do not recommend this resort.

The staff were very friendly. Check in/out was simple enough. The location is excellent. There are a few pools. It pretty much has everything you could need.
We had the honeymoon room. It was our actual honeymoon but no real fuss was made for us. The rooms are slightly dated. Overall it was an interesting excellent stay. The only negative was our room was quite far from the actual lobby but that is at the cost of some excellent views.
The hotel do provide transport from your room so you can use this if needed.
I’m still easy to book tours and taxis from the lobby

This is just solely based on my experience. When I first checked in the room was half way cleaned. I had no towels and there were strands of hair on the pillows. I don’t think they ever dust. Where the head lamp was at was extremely dirty and dusty. I’ve stayed a total of 6 days. I asked for an iron or steamer because one was not in my room. I never received it, even after being reassured that one will get to me. I asked everyday for an iron and never received it. In my room there seemed to be some type of plumbing issues with the toilet. After every like 5 flushes the toilet gets clogged. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but I can look past that. The jacuzzi on the balcony needs major renovation. I used it one time and the paint from the jacuzzi from where my skin was in contact with the jacuzzi, peeled off and was stuck into me.

I did like location of the hotel. There’s a 7-11 right outside the property, which was convenient. It’s about a 5-10 ride to patong beach and bangla road. The food was also mediocre. Not the best but definitely not the worse. Overall, would I stay here again, probably not. Do I recommended this hotel? No I do not.

Upon entering our room, we were overwhelmed by the smell of paint, and then we noticed the paint stains on the floor, and it was a room that were newly painted for high season, and immediately people get stuffed in there. They should clean the rooms thoroughly and make sure the toxic fumes are completely gone before letting people stay in there. Also, the shower drain needs to get declogged. The water flooded the bathroom because hair built up in the drain preventing water to flow freely when taking a shower. Also on the balcony, the tea table was covered with cement, the builders probably lived in that room.

There is a lot of construction on the property. Lots of noise, dirt, exposed construction areas and debris. I do not recommend staying here for now. Maybe next year when all upgrades are done this will be a nice place. For now I would recommend staying somewhere else. Even if you complain the staff won’t help you much. They do have a nice breakfast and upper pool area. If you are staying in the area above the big upper pool you will be ok. Anywhere lower than the upper pool save yourself a big disappointment. Lots of other properties to stay at around here.

Resort is lovely, staff were very attentive. Room was a little bit worn, but in a tropical climate, that’s to be expected. Air condition worked amazingly! Food was delicious too and not over the top expensive. Lots of different choices at the buffet breakfast. The resort is on the side of a mountain so does have a lot of stairs, but you can get shuttle from rooms to lobby.

We stayed In the honeymoon room 1 king bed with an out door jacuzzi tub on the balcony .... way too hot and dusty to use the jacuzzi tub so its useless ...roooms are very out dated and have alot of moldy smells ... we kept finding dark black hairs short and long all over the bed and room .. we both have dyed blond hair so we knew it wasnt ours.
Towels are extremely thin and tearing at the corners
This reflects the low price of the hotel...
If you can overlook all that then its a great hotel in a great location close to all the main tourist attractions and night life.. Breakfast was basic ..pool was nice staff were friendly.. hotel is set on a steep hill so required mini trucks to take you from room to anywhere in hotel.. If you just need place to crash safely at night ..this is the perfect place.. if you have high expectations and money to spend then I recommend a higher end hotel so you wont be dissapointed or pointing out their numerous faults

Not what it is cracked up to be!

Looks good on the surface but there were many problems! Several of us traveling together and we had several rooms. All rooms look run down and like they haven't been updated since being built. My room, had a leaking toilet and we had a couple bugs in the restroom (thinking due to the water leak), and the rooms have lists of items you'll be charged for if taken but several listed items were never in any of our rooms (even a 2nd room I was moved to). This is very concerning! My second room, the shower door wasn't set properly so it wouldn't shut so water flows out the shower. Another family member's room, water backed up so flowed out the shower. My first room, the room door sometimes wouldn't catch so we always moved stuff into family members' rooms for safety. Techs would come and leave saying they'd return and never would. We had to wait to move rooms on our 3rd day even with the continued problem! Also, shuttle service was limited though we were told to use it instead of walking to our rooms/lobby...we had to walk up/down hill due to often having to wait with no shuttle in sight. This location comes off as top notch but it truly fell short and no accommodations were made for us since we paid through hotels.com instead of the hotel directly...at least that was the reasoning they provided.

There are definitely some really nice view points for great photos & Chef Pee was outstanding and only staff member to make guests feel welcome but thats it ,other staff was rude front desk 1 hr delay check ins with poor communication false advertising on rooms moved rooms twice still not to have ocean facing room with deluxe king bed, amenities not qorking properly daily never got to use bath the whole trip as never got cleaned even when asked to do so Got double charged on food and drinks than also got charges to room when we never billed to our room amd always paid cash for all our food and drink through the resort espically from blue horizon bar not enough staff on at bar and when there was 3 or more they just stood around talking amongst themselves would take 10-15 mins for them to take ypur order than usually another 5-10 mins before you would receive drinks ,both spas and sauna rooms was never mentioned when check in than qhen asked they only point ypu to the day spa whoch didnt have the sauna or public spas to use.Wifi was non existence most the day be lucky if ot worked for 20 mins before cutting out and having to constant refresh or restetting wifi through out resort was what we was been told . Overall i will never recommend your resort to anyone

We stayed in the largest and most expensive room in the hotel and received no special treatment whatsoever. Buffet breakfast was disappointingly very basic and virtually the same every day with only one cerial option (cornflakes). Most of the hot food was based around eggs and no bacon at all. Local dishes were dull. Two options for juice. Breads and fruit were basic also. Omelettes were up to expected standard. Room had more than the usual number of defects you expect in Thailand and had to have the maintenance team out several times to fix shower handles, electrical switches and pool issues. The cleaners were good and kept the rooms and bedrooms clean and well presented. Room service was slow and also not very good. No atmosphere in hotel because everyone seems to go outside to eat or drink. Hotel is so steep that you need to take a small truck to go anywhere and you spend quite a lot of time waiting for them to arrive. The check in staff are very slow, seemingly incompetent and also not very friendly. We were not welcomed at all on arrival. Travel desk was very good and helpful. There is a 7/11, massage and clothes washing shops right next to the hotel which is really convenient. 200 baht ride to Patong central beach. Best local food is the street stalls on the beach road 250m north of the hotel entrance or the Sunset Bar across the road from the hotel. Would only get cheapest room available if I ever stayed again (which is unlikely).

Overall an ok experience, but not staying again.

Overall, just an okay experience. Location is good, but not really beachfront. The food is serviceable. The place is a bit dated and run down. Pools are nice. The kids had a fun time on the slide. The most difficult part about the resort is the difficulty getting to and from the room. The hotel is built onto a hill and is too steep to walk. You have to take the hotel shuttles to get around the property and they are not always there very quickly. The staff could use some training on how to be hospitable, but I do feel bad for them. They have a hard job, especially with all of the Indian and Middle Eastern tourists who don't care to follow the rules.

While this resort does not have the look of a 4 star hotel on your arrival, it quickly grows on you! The staff are bar none the BEST in all of a Phuket. They repeatedly went above and beyond to assist in whatever we needed and I left having met some wonderful people!
The breakfast is yummy and has lots of variety, plus a beautiful view. The pool is clean and service os top notch.
THE SPA TREATMENT IS INCREDIBLE. Ming, the spa manager is amazing and so helpful and sweet, I went twice in three days because her massage package was the best I’ve ever had!
My only complaints was that housekeeping was a little relaxed and I didn’t have towels a couple days and found it hard to get any and I had to request they clean a very obviously used tub and wipe down all the table from the previous clients. The room was not very clean on my arrival at all and I ended up Using Clorox wipes to clean because the tables and tub were pretty yuck. The linen and beds were clean and the housekeeping staff so

This resort have serius problem regarding service. Staff are porly trained and have no service attitude. First when I came here I had to pay 1500 bath in deposit whith out no explanation and the 2 ningth fully paid this is first time I vitness that here in Thailand The location is good and this has potential to be great If not for the sevice attitude I triet to have dinner at one of the resturant All the staff vas at the bar with 2 or 3 customer and no one to look after the table I finisht the first course when I gave upp went to the bar to pay the bill becorse no one paid attention to the table

The location and view from the resort are great. It's also a very large resort with multiple swimming pools throughout, each providing a gorgeous view looking out over Patong and the sea.

The resort is also obviously older and it shows that age a bit. The rooms could use a refresh, but it wasn't so bad that it impacted the stay. My only real complaints would be about WIFI (extremely slow) and accessibility.

To get back and forth from your room to the main entrance you have to use their shuttle system or hike the very steep road (or pathway) up and down. This means you spend a lot of time waiting to go down and back up when you return.

Overall I liked the stay here but it would not be my first choice when I go back.

Perfect Patong resort for the less picky guests

We stayed in the Grande Deluxe Ocean Facing Room. It was a little more expensive, but the view was worth it. We stayed here for 14 days using the Phuket Sandbox Program.

Here are the positive aspects of the resort:
- Location: a 10 min walk to Patong main stripe. At the bottom of the hill, there's LOTSSSs of restaurants, a 711, a laundry service place, a massage place to rent motorbikes, and even a local night market by the ocean. We felt like the \"fun\" part of Patong was accessible but not in our face.

- Views: Because the resort is on a hill, there are many many beautiful views from the top dining area, our room, and the Tropics Pool. Each morning, and sunset, we had a stunning view of the ocean. It felt like being at a super luxurious resort but half the price. I'll get to why it's half the price later. We were in Building 3, so we opted for the smaller pool, and it felt like we had the pool to ourselves. When we wanted to eat by the pool, we walked to the top pool and stayed there.

- Service: FANTASTIC! I think it's because I speak Thai that I received this level of service, but everyone was so accommodating and helpful. Here are examples:
- Jay (she moved our rooms because we were not happy with having two twins. She also helped moved the Covid test for us twice).
- Oil and Hight (They helped our German friend upgrade rooms)
- High (Printed our release forms early)

- The hotel is OLD and needs renovating
- Breakfast lacks variety

Positive experience

Good experience. Good value for the money. Only negative was the hotel is on a hillside, so going from room to streetside was tiring. Could use free hotel provided transport, but hated to constantly bother them.

I liked the welcoming I received upon arrival and the help I was given in carrying my bags and getting the shuttle to my room. However the shuttle service was very unpredictable, there was a miscommunication and they refused to give me back my pool towel card on my first day (BUT - it just took some explaining but I always eventually received a towel during my stay after I didn’t have it). There were some repairs being done near my room which was confusing because it’s a busy time for the hotel and the noise was quite loud. I was up early for tours but if I had wanted a sleep in it would of affected me. They also tried to charge me for a “NYE Buffet Dinner” that I most definitely didn’t attend and it took quite a while at check out to get my deposit back and not pay $230 AUD for that.

Disappointing

This was really disappointing for a 4 star hotel - I was only there for one day - first hotel room had a broken drawer with nails hanging out. Hotel was almost empty, the restaurant had a very small menu and most of the food was not available. There was a lack of staff and the receptionist staff were overwhelmed. It felt like the place was closing down.

The shower has door that leaks water all over the bathroom. The room is adjoined with no locks. One night around 4AM, some people checked in late and opened our door while we were sleeping. We were mortified!
The food here is really terrible, and the worst Thai meal we've ever had, ever.

The property is huge. It is situated on the side of a mountain which means that there are over 20 individual buildings. They have “shuttles” to take you around (pick up trucks with a bench in the back). Every time you want to move between buildings, you have to call a shuttle and wait. My first room had roaches so they “upgraded” us. The upgrade was to another building higher up int he mountain which was still under renovation. Our room was on third floor. No elevators and no sidewalks. Bathtub was on the porch. I’ve never seen anything like that. The view was great... but there is not really a beach. The ocean view is true but the beach is down the hill and across the street and it’s not a “beach” where you can go swimming. Rats all over the beach because it almost looks like a dumpster. If you have mobility issues, do not get this hotel. Stairs and hills everywhere. Even to get off the “shuttle” is about a 2 foot drop. Someone with disabilities may not be able to do it. To enter the Spa, you have to climb like 100 steps. The restaurants did not have half the things on the menu. Everything was expensive and disappointing. The staff was rude. I never expected that. I requested help getting transportation to the mall and they refuse to help me. We made the best of the vacation, but if you can avoid this hotel, please do so. There are a lot of better choices around the area... oh, by the way, it’s about a 1hour drive from the airport.

But the rooms and building is too old needs renovations, and new furneture and new equipments, it's a runout facilities
required AC in the lobby, customers waiting in the lobby for taxis or other things were switting and angry, some of the fans in the lobby were not working,

The staff was very nice and the amenities were great and readily available. We did have a lot of issues with our room. Had to have someone fix the water (only boiling) air con not working but they did switch our rooms immediately. Breakfast and spa there is superb, as well as the bar service. Would stay there again!

Problem with receiption staff - very bad English and don't understand your inquiry. Some days the room comodities were not refreshed - no water, no soap etc. Otherwise everything was perfect. You must use shuttle in hotel area ! SPA and the pool was perfect !!!

This place was incredible. Our room had an excellent view (room 6305 - King bed with jacuzzi tub on the balcony). The pool outside of our room was warm, large, and had a nice swimup bar. We had a driver from the lobby to a short walk from our room and vice versa. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of options. The dinner buffet was good too but a little pricey at about 800 Baht. Overall this place was great!

NOT a 4 star hotel!!

Worst quality room, photos say it all.

Not only was the room below quality but it smelt intensely of mold. This we deemed below health and safety standards as well as causing extreme discomfort.

We requested we move rooms and were shifted (after a battle with unhelpful staff) to a room that didn’t smell of mold at least, but was still very much below a 4 star standard room. It was appalling to be told this was an upgrade! It was virtually exactly the same as previous.

Only good thing about this hotel is the pool. Thats it. Rooms need to be updated. Ours was suppose to be no smoking but we found cigarette ashes everywhere. It was so disgusting. Hotel staff is just ok, not really friendly. We went to the pool and wandered around for 10 minutes looking to order food and drinks, staff just looked the other way, it was unreal. On top of everything is WAY OVERPRICED. Most places breakfasts are included or maybe $3-5 dollar. Its $10 per person here and nothing special, same exact breakfast as other places where it was included. For a the price of this hotel I expected much much better. Would NOT stay again.

Centara Blue Hotel and Spa Phuket

Hotel is extremely beautiful and well maintained and the staff is very helpful and polite.
But house keeping is terrible. We stayed 3 nights and not even one day they gave us any extra water or anything else that we asked for. It dint bother us because we were friends and we managed to buy necessities from outside, but if you go with family then it is a big problem.

Good location, gorgeous views, great facilities.

I had a fabulous stay at the Centara Blue Marine. The view is fabulous, rooms are comfortable (I had a Panoramic room with a plunge pool) and the staff are so friendly and accommodating.
The pools and poolside bars were fabulous, I especially loved the main infinity pool at sunset.
Breakfast was a treat each morning with an excellent selection which catered to all dietary requirements and tastes.

Service was horrible. Could not get room service, nor extra towels. Final had to go get coat hangars on own.
The hotel told me they were booked. I had a midnight flight and needed a Late checkout.
So I booked another room on Expedia. A suite. I never got the suite only the extra 8 hours for the same room. Found out they would have let me rent the extra time for less than 1/2 for what I paid.

We stayed for 5 days, the room had the cleaner outside when we arrived apparently it was ready apart from no pillow covers and hair and nuts on the floor and dust and who knows what else dotted around. They left us in town even when we signed the sheet to say we were returning. Breakfast was good but a joke at the same time. They wait till all the food is gone and then if they have to they will put some more out , this means your waiting around and it's just not what you want. If you turn up at the end it's just items others have left dried out salad.

We had a villa with our own private pool it was more than ideal, the spa was amazing and it's close enough to Patong that you can walk however hiring a scooter makes it easy, your away from the hussle and bussle so it's a nice retreat
