On check in Cedric gave us an upgrade which was lovely of him so a massive thank you, at breakfast a young lady I believe called freebi was so helpful the full stay, when my wife was unwell she made up a box of pastries for the room and the next day she saw me sat at the bakery and made a point of asking how my wife was, she really is a star ⭐

From the time we stepped off the shuttle at the resort, everyone was so friendly & accommodating. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety. The servers were so friendly & would go out of their way to bring us extra of our favorite foods. The pool area was very clean & the beach was beautiful. Our room was also very nice , with a nice little balcony overlooking the pool & beach area . Would definitely go back next time in the Philippines.

Brilliant worth 6 stars if more .we were promptly checked in without delays by staff who recognised us on passed visits . I loved to know their names but I forgot . We were 2 Filipinos & 1 crazy British white guy lol I didn’t get the rooms I reserved but the replacement rooms were lovely. We ate in the Bakery some very nice meals in the evening .then spoilt for choice in the kitchen breakfast buffet

Staff are very courteous and friendly. Our room was cleaned daily, bottled water and coffee, personal care items were refilled and fresh towels provided. We love their breakfast buffet and the Halina outdoor restaurant. We were glad they have a beach access which we enjoyed early in the morning before it gets too hot.

Honestly, i really didnt love this place. The service was extremely inconsistent, i dont want to detract from the staff that were lovely- mainly those on security and the door but many just couldn't have cared less. The food was absymal and 10x expensive as ordering better food on grab. New years celebration was pretty dissapointing, i would not recommend this place and would not stay again, not nearly enough sunbeds at the beach or the pool for the amount of guests and horribly managed breakfast queue

The only thing that lets it down is the location. I walked to the Newtown main area and it was through some dodgy areas. Not much else to do within walking distance

I was deeply impressed by the outstanding hospitality and professional service provided by all the staff, led by Glen. The bed was very comfortable and the entire hotel was clean & well-maintained thoroughly satisfied. There was a small mixup for the Airport pickup, in which Glen quickly set right by providing shuttle service back for our departure flight. The staff assisted us for a tour by contacting the provider even though we didn’t register our tour through the hotel. The staff was very helpful, Glen greeted us every morning for breakfeast and even provided hotel nurse service to my wife when she was stung by jellyfish on our tour.

We will definitely come back to your hotel. Thank you very much for making our first Cebu trip memorable.

Make sure to snorkel in the hotel beach, there is a lot of sea life and the staff will provide you with breadcrumbs to feed the fish as you enjoy your water activities.

I had an amazing experience at Reef Island Resort. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and taken care of. The energy here is all good vibes — everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help.

A special shout-out to Chay and Hannah, who went above and beyond. Their warmth, professionalism, and kindness stood out and truly made my stay memorable. They are absolute stars.

I had an excellent time here. The staff was exceptional and the room was amazing. The location is a ways away from stuff but I got a free lift to Mactan uptown and using grab to get back was easy. The pool and beach area was amazingly tended to. I was very impressed with this property.

My wife and I decided on the last minute to include Cebu in our Asian Travel visiting from Canada. A fried of mine who is base out if Cebu City and works as Medical Director offered his corporate contact at another 5 star resort. The discounted price was actually lower than The Reef. However, getting answers from our inquiries went by unanswered or very delayed. In spite of the attractive pricing, we decided to look for another property.

Mr Joshua Lumapas was excellent in his response time and offered suggestions on how to make our visit even more memorable. The client engagement was quick, concise, and very approachable. He made its very easy decision to choose The Reef at that point.

Upon arrival at the property, I had the pleasure of meeting and engaging with Mr. Glenn Ylanan and Miss Rose Brusas. It set the tone foe what would be a very memorable weekend. Both Mr Ylalan and Miss Brusas made my wife and I very welcome by their engaging smile and wonderful service. We wished we had more time at the resort to enjoy the view and the hospitality.

All 3 stellar employees are excellent brand ambassadors of your company. While a lot of what they exhibited is innate to their personalities, I am sure the training and culture provided by Management has a lot to doing with it.

We look forward to our next visit and experiencing more of the professionalism and welcome from employees like Glenn, Rose, and Joshua.

The hotel is beautiful with very friendly and helpful staff. John from concierge and Rosie at the front desk made our stay even more memorable. The beach and pool are stunning, the breakfast had a good variety and good food and the hotel offers a free shuttle into Newtown in the evenings which was perfect for dinner. We would definitely come back to stay.

Dirt parking for guests. Swimming pool groutlines are missing, glass shower door does NOT open all the way. Thanks to the staff who upgraded our deluxe room to a junior suite, but I’m glad it was free because i dont think it’s worth the advertised price of the room.

We were upgraded twice the stays we had here , that being a larger room with sea view , Breakfast was a buffet choice with a great selection . As for the staff from porters to front desk great help with a. Smile . I don’t particularly mention 1 but in this case would have to be Rose we chatted endlessly till my transfer arrived .

It was a nice hotel. Very clean and comfy. Nice bed and bedding. We were given a free upgrade for our first stay. Only complaint is the fees for water sport activities. Almost double in some cases when compared to Shangri-la and Costabella where we also stayed during our 2 week vacation. No cable tv. Only Netflix and YouTube. The staff were kinda enough to let us use one of their log in accounts. I was hesitate to use my personal account on their wifi.

Beautiful hotel by the ocean

Hotel room was of adequate size. It had a nice balcony that had a sea view. Room came with 2 free water bottles a day. Room had AC that would turn off if balcony left open, environmentally sound. Biggest complaint is shower was never warm, even after mentioning it to the front desk. Pool area was nice with loungers and umbrellas, but not a lot of them and they filled up fairly quickly. You could order food/ drinks from the pool, which was convenient. Pool was only 4ft deep, but was open until 10 pm. Morning buffet breakfast was very good with lots of selection. There were several vegetarian options. Dinner and lunch had way less options. Lunch at the bakery was ok, the garlic rice and Margherita pizza were very good. The Adobo chicken didn't have much flavor. The food at The Kitchen had very limited selection and really no vegetarian options. The Spa was nice, with clean and private rooms. Treatment was reasonably priced and provider was very polite. Upon checkout they provided us with a take away breakfast as we would be missing it (although they did put can juice in it for the airport) and scheduled a taxi as requested. All the staff were amazingly nice, saying good morning and being helpful. Overall stay was very good with beach access, nice pool area, food options ok 8.7/10.

Really beautiful. As an avid snorkeller I was impressed to be able to walk into the private beach and snorkel. There's not much in walking distance or to do here but relax, and swim, but it sure excels at relation and swimming. Such a perfect resort getaway. Magical view from breakfast too.
Nice free towels at beach and poolside.
Staff super helpful, helped me book a ferry on my phone.
Exactly what I needed, zero complaints. Even the coffee was good, and I have very high standards for coffee.

The only issue I faced is the front disk assistant. Upon checking in, she was asking for my booking confirmation. Going through several countries in my travel this time, I mad booking with several agencies. So I had a hard time finding out which one I made this booking with.
So I asked if she can tell me which travel agency was the booking done with!!
She replied Expedia. No im having problems with phone reception, so I asked her ( if you see my reservation and n your system, why do you need to see the confirmation #, my name and my reservation are there and you see it, she replied, it’s is the hotel policy. Stoped and time consuming i think.
Lesson, Always have your booking confirmation ready when checking in

This is the nicest resort we have stayed in LapuLapu Philippines. It’s not so crowded, plenty of places to sit , relax and enjoy great scenery. Swimming pools are very nice , food is great . Other then the restaurants on site there weren’t many other options available in closing walking distance. Had to take a care to get off the premises.

Rooms were very clean and had a good gym with a beautiful view.

The pool is small and not enough chairs for then inner of people this place holds.
