We arrived very late due to a difficult journey but were received in good humour. We needed a room on a floor close to the ground because our three dogs who came with us and we were swiftly moved from the 5th to 2nd floor despite it being close on midnight. We then having sorted ourselves out and took the dogs for a walk from which we did not return until 2am.
The night porter was extremely patient.
At breakfast the next morning on the terrace it began to rain and then thunder. Your staff did everything they could to make us comfortable by providing access to a terrace room. One of our dogs was however, petrified by the thunder and lightening. We continued to eat breakfast on the terrace under parasols. The service was excellent. So too the room and the hotel as a whole. Thank you

What was a truly fantastic hotel is now a little tired for 5 stars. The spa is no longer included in the price and has gone down hill since our last visit.

Not a 5 star hotel
In no way is this a 5 star hotel we refused a hot meal in the restaurant on the night we arrived and no alternative hot meal was offered i.e. no in room menu was available. I suggested a compromise that my partner and I had a single main course in the bar area this was flatly denied. The staff were officious and unfriendly with no help given to find an alternative restaurant. definitely not recommended as a luxury hotel.

Wonderful Spa
The only thing that let the hotel down was dinner on our first night. The food was excellent and the service to start excellent. We were then left sitting with empty desert plates for 20 minutes waiting to sign for our meal. The wait was due to the waiter chatting to his friend and showing each other photos on their phones. Not what you expect in a 5 star hotel.

A nice room. Pre booked parking for 15 euros. Not overly helpful staff. Extremely disappointed to be told that the adjacent Spa was closed all week. Reading the hotel website it read as if the spa was part of the hotel complex. It isn't. It would have been helpful to have been informed there was no swimming pool etc before we arrived.

The hotel is a short drive from the Puy-de Dome and the \"volcanoes\" area, where we had spent the day. The staff was very welcoming and informative. We arrived after 6 pm, and the hotel restaurant was fully booked (I think there was a large party there); but the woman at reception (who was very pleasant and spoke excellent English) offered to make reservations for us at another restaurant. We decided instead to just go across the street to the local bistro, where we had a fine meal--nothing fancy or memorable, but just what we needed at the end of our day. We returned there for coffee/pastries the following morning; very convenient. Like most European hotels, the rooms are small; but given that fact, the room was lovely. Also note that the \"toilette\" is in a separate room from the tub/shower and sinks--also fairly typical.
We didn't have time to use the spa, but fluffy robes and slippers were provided. Towels in the bathroom were also high quality.
Parking: We had anticipated paying about 15 euros to park the car overnight with the hotel. We put in 3 euros, which would have taken us 'til noon, 'though we left by 11 am.

Our stay was only for a single night, as we used this stop to break our journey from the south of France back to the tunnel. the room more than ticked all the boxes. We took our evening meal in the Hotels Panaromatique restaurant, which was also excellent

Excellent hotel close to Puy-de Dome
We stayed one night in order to visit Puy de Dome (by car). The hotel was excellent, we booked a standard double but we were given an upgrade to a privilege (I don't know the difference). The room was not huge but there was a large bathroom with 2 wash basins (and a separate toilet). The room had a fridge, kettle and the teas and coffees.

With high quality hotels the devil is always in the detail from the plush robes and slippers to the fancy l'occitane bathroom accesories.
The hotel was immaculate and I especially liked the tube of smarties places on my 5 year olds extra bed.

Great Service at nice hotel
The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The room was clean and nice. The restaurant was good and breakfast was elaborate and tasty. My only complaint was that the internet service was annoyingly spotty. It makes you log in everytime you turn your phone or computer on, and would drop service every few minutes. The location is about a mile and a half from city center, but there was convenient, clean bus service that left from right across from the hotel. There is a fancy spa, and hot springs attached to the hotel. A really lame casino is down the street. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very nice definitely living up to its 4* rating. A few things to consider: the Spa that is shown as part of the hotel is actually a public pool that is attached to the hotel which you share with the entire city, very crowded and the spa staff treat you as a second class citizen if you are coming from the hotel (weird) we even had one of our towels stolen. When we checked out both times they tried to charge us for services that we had not used and also charged us for local taxes that we thought we had already paid through Expedia (annoying).

Arrivée le lundi 27 octobre 2025 à 15h45, nous avons attendu 5 bonnes minutes avant que quelqu'un ne se présente à l'accueil accompagné de la sonnerie du téléphone qui n'arrêtait pas. La double porte, proche de l'accueil est recouverte d'un velours rose dont les contours sont noircis par la saleté. La chambre est rangée mais pas totalement parfaite, des taches sur le mur, \"les papiers peints seraient à refaire. Les peignoirs fournies sont hors d'usage, des fils pendent et ils sont rêches et de petites tailles (je fait du xl). Durant la nuit j'ai fait un malaise et mon épouse à appelé le 15. Cinq personnes, ambulanciers, docteurs, infirmier, sont intervenus et mon gentiment transporté aux urgences de Clermont Ferrand. (même eux ont constaté que les pampilles des luminaires dans le couloir était tenu par du vulgaire fil de fer. Pour un hôtel 5 étoiles soit disant élégant il ne faut pas être trop regardant.
Là ou j'ai le plus de regret, c'est qu'en tant que client, qui paie une chambre 186 €, ils auraient pu se renseigner sur mon état de santé, un simple message. Même pas, rien, quelle considération pour leurs clients ! Je ne vous dit pas bravo.

Pour accueillir des équipes cyclistes l hotel a jugé bon de reléguer ses ‘autres’ clients a petit déjeuner dans une salle type salle de reunion plutot que dans la salle de restaurant. Pourquoi pas. Le problème est que l execution de ce petit déjeuner a beaucoup laissé a désirer: choix très limité, bien plus reduit que ce qui est proposé normalement par l hotel, service reduit (pas de tasses, pas de lait froid, plus de jus d orange...) On pourrait passer l éponge pour un Novotel, mais pas pour un etablissement de 5 étoiles. Un impair donc

Nous avions lu beaucoup de bonnes critiques avant de venir et nous étions curieux. Le quartier est effectivement très animé avec de nombreux bars et night-clubs. On ne s'ennuie pas le soir. La chambre était impeccable. Juste le carrelage dans les toilettes qui a tendance à amplifier le bruit des dégagements intestinaux pendant la selle, mais c'est un point de détail si votre conjoint a l'habitude.
