Disappointing.

An apartment hotel sounds like a good idea but there were no utensils. So it was difficult to eat your takeaway. Not even a knife, fork or spoon. The carpet was stained in many places too. There were two of us but only one bottle of water, one tea bag and one capsule of milk. Not what we expected from our previous stays in a Novotel.

Another good stay in Clermont-Ferrand.

This was our third stay at this hotel. We use it as a stopover when travelling to or from Spain. The Room was comfortable and spacious enough for our family of four. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel also has secure parking. The Breakfast is very good. It is self serve and the variety is excellent.

I enjoyed staying at the Novotel Suites; my room was spacious and clean and the concierge staff were helpful and friendly. I would just note, in case it is important to others, that the kitchenettes have been stripped of all their cutlery/tableware etc but there are still kettles, tea and coffee.

Overnight stay durings a roadtrip, we checked in late and unfortunately did get not a spot in the parking as it is quite small. Other than that, the room was big, a little outdated from the decoration, but clean. Good breakfast for additional fee.

We had an excellent stay at Novotel Suites. All aspects of our stay were first class.

The car park was spacious and, for the location of the property, was fairly priced in our opinion. The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. While we walked into town ( a comfortable 20 minute stroll) there was a tram stop right outside the Hotel and it was very close to the rugby stadium, the reason for our visit to Clermont.
All staff were friendly and helpful and we could not fault any aspect of our stay and would happily use again if we returned to the city.

It was a pleasent surprise to find this \"gem\" during our short trip at Clermont Farrand. The staffs were all very kind and professional. The room was excellent. The only catch was that the windows didn't really block the sound from outside. However, it didn't prevent us to have a good night sleep.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff.

Hotel is located with tram at the front door. For restaurants take the tram 1.50 euro and take the exit Jaude where there are a multitude of restaurants.

OK for overnight business or sporting event stay.

I was in Clermont-Ferrand for a concert at Cooperative de Mai and chose the Novotel Suites for its location.
The room was very clean and seemingly newly painted. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom nice. But there were absolutely no decorative touches - no art on the walls at all. Not even a bedspread. Usually I don't care about decor, but it made the place a little depressing, even though the walls were sparkling white. And in the middle of the desk/table area was a gigantic, very ugly lamp. The refrigerator did not work.
As to the staff - the evening clerk was brusque, with heavily accented English. She rather reluctantly helped me figure out when I should have a taxi to the airport come the next day. She wrote down to have me receive a wake-up call (which never came, though the cab did). And she never smiled. Not once.
Breakfast was adequate but uninspiring. Few options for eating out in the neighborhood.

Helpful staff. Off street parking at €12 per night if you need it. Rooms very clean and good facilities. Fridge and microwave really useful. Reliable wifi as well. If travelling by car only 10 mins from the various restaurants that cater for passing tourists at a reasonable price (Chez Leon, Buffalo Grill etc).

Chose this for short walk to rugby stadium\n

We checked into a newly refurbished superior suite on the 6th floor. Contemporary furnishings in modern fabrics, also good setup for business meetings. Well appointed with separate WC and bathroom (also separate shower to bath). Kettle jammed under water tap in small kitchen basin. The buffet breakfast was the best experienced in this class of hotel. Wide selection of fresh well prepared food. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, comfortable, clean, very pleasant reception. Only downside is the parking - either pay for the hotel lot (which holds only 10-11 cars) or park on the street and feed the meter/risk a parking ticket. Also, one night there was a game at the nearby stadium and it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a spot within 2km of the hotel. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay.

Great family Hotel

Stayed at the Suite Novatel in Clermont Ferrand on way back to UK from South France. With 2 children I needed a room that slept 5. This was absolutely perfect, 2 good sized queen beds, lovely shower and a privacy blind that pulled between the 2 beds was a great touch. Cannot fault this hotel at all, very friendly and helpful staff. One tip is that to avoid the hotel parking charge, try the parking meters right outside, especially if arriving later in the afternoon or evening. You can pay the meter in the evening and it rolls over to the morning so you can have a lie in!

Good Hotel for Business Person

Nice spacious room with good continental breakfast. Conveniently on the tram line with stop outside of the hotel. Not much in the surrounding neighborhood. Too far to walk from train station to hotel and no cabs in the city. Would definitely stay again.

Great value for money

This hotel was great value for money especially if you have a family. We had two small girls who loved the rooms. Kitchenette was great. Breakfast was great value for money and had a really good and healthy choice of food. I like the idea of fridges with food you could take to your room too but re only downside was re portion sizes and cost. We'd definitely stay here again but beware there are very few restaurants and convenience stores nearby, you have to go to the centre for this.

Excellent hotel for a stopover

The Novotel hotel in Clermont Verrand was well situated for a stopover and much needed after a long drive. Our room was clean, tidy and had a divider to separate the children's beds from the adult's bed. Breakfast was included in the price of the hotel room and offered all that we could have asked for. The hotel itself does not offer many more features but for a shot stay, it was overall very good.

Good value for money for large families

Having a suite with beds for four people along with microwave, fridge etc meant that this type was hotel was great for our family of seven (5 children) during a stop off while travelling through Europe. The breakfast menu was a little sparse but still good value for money as kids eat free.

Typical Novotel suite style room, quite spacious, modern fitout, comfortable bed. Good service from the staff. Location is about 1.5km from main tourist / restaurant precinct, however there is a tram service outside the front of the hotel. Breakfast was quite good. Overall very good.

Conveniently located between the railway station & Clermont's Stade Michelin. Both within a short walking distance of around 15 - 20 mins. Whilst located outside the old town where there are numerous bars & restaurants to choose from, there is a tram stop (1 Mai) immediately outside the hotel. The trams run frequently & are reasonably priced. If you are there long enough, there are savings to be made if a carte 10 is purchased for the tram system.
Comfortable, modern room with excellant breakfast offering a wide choice to include hot options. Would definately stay again.

Great location if you are thinking of driving from UK to Southern France or Costa Brava.
The hotel rooms are very child friendly with plenty to keep the kids occupied - the suite box.

Chambre globalement ok. Matelas pas très confortables.

Lors de la réservation 1 chambre pour 4 personnes 2 adultes 2 enfants il y avait bien stipulé 2 lits doubles ou 1 lit double et 2 lits simples. J'ai choisi cet hotel pour ce critère, les autres propositions étaient avec 1 canapé lit, chose que je ne voulait absolument pas! Une fois dans la chambre que vois-je....1 lit double OK et...un canapé lit C'est honteux à ce prix mà on est en droit d'attendre de vrais lits comme indiqués dans la proposition de réservation.

Une nuit en famille dans cette résidence avec une cuisine.... vide ! Pas d'assiettes, pas de couverts, pas de casserole. Je ne sais pas à quoi ca bien pouvoir servir le lave vaisselle. 2 pauvres capsules de café et une machine à café qu'il faut déplacer jusqu'à une prise puisque l'emplacement de la prise électrique de la cuisine est... vide.
Dommage, le reste allait bien.

Checkin und Parken waren sehr gut. Nur das Wifi war sehr schlecht, dauernde Abbrüche und tlw. gar keine Verbindung. Zimmer sauber und praktisch.

Séjour en famille avec 2 enfants. Chambre calme, propre et suffisamment grande pour loger à 4. Mini Kitchenette pour se restaurer avec plateau de courtoisie. Literie un peu dur (mais peut convenir à ceux qui ont cette préférence). Déjeuner de qualité avec du choix. A 20mn à pied de la cathédrale et facile de rejoindre la chaîne des Puys en voiture. Personnel agréable.

Parking beaucoup trop cher, ce n’était même pas indiqué sur Hotel.com !!! N’importe quoi… Le pire c’est qu’il y a des places gratuites la nuit juste devant….

Séjour en famille

Arrive a 2h du matin, la personne à l'accueil nous a très bien accueilli avec un grand sourire et très avenant. J'envoie pour 4 personnes impeccable que ce soit matelas comme oreillers. Le petit-déjeuner impeccable avec du salé comme du sucré. Le personnel toujours avant et à ton sourire ce qui est très agréable. Je recommande bisous
