A comfortable stay in the heart of the city

This was my favorite hotel on our trip. The location is in the central part of the city, with a lot of good things to see nearby. There are dozens of options for dining and a supermarket in close proximity to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were great. The front desk staff speaks English, and they were always kind to everyone in our group. The spa area was well equipped and clean. There is a parking garage below the hotel which was reasonably priced and convenient. We will return.

I would not recommend it

This hotel is an example of man at the service of architecture: there is nowhere to hang your towels in the bathroom.

In addition, they have cups instead of real glasses in the room, and the room was really quite dusty on the floor and bedside tables. I expected more....the service from the front desk employees was very good, but there was nobody available to come to my room to bring me real glasses etc

The +
- The room was big enough for 2 adults and a baby in his stroller with a nice view on the mountains.
- The toilet is separated from the shower.
- No noise from street nor hallway nor from other rooms
- Inside parking

The -
- The room was not very clean (lots of hair in the toilet and the shower, some dust in corners and in closet).
- The hotel have no place to change the baby diaper even though the restrooms are big enough to put a table for that. I had to do it on the small table in the lobby :(
- From the parking, you have to climb stairs to reach the lift that goes to the lobby. No way to do it with a stroller or heavy luggages and nobody to help you through.

A nice hotel, convenient to walk to the Old Town, good underground parking. A nice clean well appointed room on the the back of the hotel away from the road at the front. We looked onto the what appeared to be an old hospital which looks like it will be knocked down or renovated in the future. Something to be aware of in the future. Definitely would stay again.

Stayed here 3 nights over weekend,.
Good points: v easy public transport access with tram and bus stops outside. Goood 5 min walk to main Place Jaude. Light, bright and quiet bedroom at back onto block of flats/offices on 4/5 floor. No disturbance and good sleep in big bed and good temperature control. Smart modern furnishings and super bathroom with huge walk-in rain/spray shower. Tea and coffee making most welcome. Great Jacuzzi and steam room on ground floor to relax. Free wifi and use of computer and printer. free newspapers
Poor points: paper cups, rather than china; nothing in English language on tv; breakfast not included and charged ridiculous E15 each. (Fortunately plenty of bars and cafes eg Univers, nearby with continental breakfast cE5).

Hotel staff need more training in case of problem

Personal items in bath room are taken and broken by cleaning person, probably by mistake, this could happen, but some employees in front desk really need a good training to learn how to communicate with clients in a such situation

We came here for a long weekend and found ourselves extremely bored. There was nothing to do here. On Sundays there was nothing open so we spent the day wandering around aimlessly. For a university city I expected that the mall would have been open but it was like a ghost town. great stop if you're passing through but no more than one night. Won't be back unfortunately. Hotel itself was ok but charge €15 per person per day for breakfast, so go to a cafe for cheaper (if you can find a place that does brunch!!! - we ended up at McDonald's)

Parking issues

The hotel was good and I had no complaint about anything. The only issue was parking which you had to walk 5 or 6 stairs with the suitcases before getting to the elevator.

Also, there was a fee for parking which was annoying.

The Superior Double room was modern, fresh and comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was large with a good shower. Secure parking is available on-site. The bar area was relaxing after a long day of driving.

Vheck in was quick, however the receptionist guy that helped us had no interest in being friendly. When we asked questions he responded very fast like trying to get rid of us soon. Not very polite I would say....and to me receptionists are the face of the hotel.

Decent room. Very clean and enough room for a family room. Having a separate toilet was really good. Parking is below hotel underground. Very convenient but expensive at €15 per night. Soon builds up. Similarly better value breakfast can be had across road at Cafe Universal.

Modern Hotel Close to Attractions

Checking in and out of this hotel was very easy. The rooms were very comfortable, although on the small side, which we find normal for Europe. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have had anywhere. The room amenities were very good. The air-conditioning works very well. WiFi was excellent. Parking in the enclosed garage was easy and ample. We did not have the opportunity to try the restaurant.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. My double room was not large, but everything in it was clean, bright, and crispy. Particular highlights included a gorgeous view of the Puy-de-Dome, a comfortable bed, a delightful shower head a' l'italienne in the bathroom, a sleek hammam-jacuzzi spa, and a delicious Roquefort-prosciutto-croissant-coffee-filled breakfast, which was included into the price. The staff aere friendly and helpful. The hotel is within a 10-minute walk from the old town, with its magnificent Gothic cathedral, Notre-Dame de Clermont.

Beware - no restaurant at weekends

Can't say much about this hotel as we only slept there one night. But the room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. Shocked to find that the restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday nights but there is a 'tres jolie' bistro around the back on the way to the car park. Parking extra secure which is good in a city centre but not cheap. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that or the staff.

Great hotel for stopover on route to the south, my only criticism is that the large bedroom window opened fully to a 100 foot shear drop to concrete, I had a 6 year old and 3 year old with me, had they opened the window the danger was huge to fatal injury.

Clean hotel but overpriced breakfast

Overall the stay was very pleasant. The hotel has just been re-done and is nice and clean. The staff was friendly and able to take decisions 'independently'.
We were extremely surprised, shocked and disappointed to be charged 17 EUR per person for breakfast. The breakfast was nice but certainly 17 Eur is not a justifiable price for it.

Great location, wonderful rooms!

I have been traveling to Clermont-Ferrand for years and haven't been able to find a great place to stay. This hotel is centrally located, with bright, airy rooms, a small (but convenient) gym, free and fast wifi and good breakfasts (although expensive). I would highly recommend this place again, and I will definitely stay next year!

Excellent location only short walk from main sites and old town. Good secure parking at extra cost. Rooms newly refurbished, excellent fittings, comfortable beds. Very clean. Staff excellent. Bar, dining and public areas newly refurbished with some minor works still on-going but no disturbance. Overall good value considering city centre location, new decor and secure parking.

One night stop over in the middle of France, centre of Clermont Ferrand. Very comfortable particularly after a camping trip! Secure underground parking very handy even at 15 euro. Restaurants nearby, 5 mins walk. Declined breakfast at 17 Euro a head but plenty of cafes just outside the door, turn right.

Vintage Elegance in the French Quarter

Got off to a rocky start when the room booked was \"not available.\" The concierge was very accommodating, let us look at a couple of rooms before upgrading us to a very nice jr. suite. The room was very nice, the bed enormously comfortable. Had some sticker shock early - I believe we should of been told at the time of booking that there would be a hefty additional daily parking fee for a car. Slow elevator. Very convenient — right in the middle of the French Quarter. Walking distance to Bourbon St. and many restaurants. The free double decker bus tour we got with booking was great! Overall our stay was very good!

Hotel is getting a huge upgrade. Stayed in a renovated room. Pretty well renovated. Half open bathroom, which may a privacy problem to some people (only the upper part of the wall is open). And if you want to sleep in a cold room and have a warm bathroom in the morning, that's an issue.

When all is done, the hotel can be perfect. I didn't take the breakfast, but I 17euros is a lot from what I heard from collegues. Better go around the corner to le Jardin ...

Le séjour s’est très bien passé. Le personnel était très agréable du debut à la fin et la chambre était impeccable.
