Booked a Family room. Hotel is big and spacious. But the layout of the TV, bathroom and bathtub is very bad. Totally no privacy as it’s open space no curtains no partitions. More suitable for couples than families.

The hotel is nice and artistic in its design. It's walking distance to the fisherman wharf, a famous tourist attraction in Tam Sui area. My only negative comment is the breakfast, it has less variety comparing with other hotels in Taiwan. But it's free and I have no compliant.

Close for a conference
Had to stay here for a conference as all other hotels were booked in the area. It was convienient and there are bicycles to borrow for free. The breakfast was ok- 50:50 mix of local and western. Nice coffee machine. The staff was very friendly which was a plus. The room was just ok- but fine for a few days (was clean, bed was good). 10-15min Uber ride to Tamsui were there are plenty of restaraunts.

Fantastic view over the river
The view over the river from my room was beautiful and the rooms were newly renovated. Unfortunately, those rooms are situated right on the main road which means lots of noises. My room was on 6th floor and yet I still hear some even with the air conditioner on. But maybe things will be better on higher floors. Only valet parking is available.

Not a Jewel of Tamsui
Overall, Hotel Day Plus was a bit of a disappointment. Outside of the main check-in area, the hotel was very, very dark all over. The concrete floors stole something away from the romantic quality of the rest of the room, as did the open plan bathroom--not the most romantic of situations. The perimeter of the shower was moldy, but other than that the place was tidy and clean. Hotel staff was nice. The biggest disappointment outside of the room itself was that it was so far off the beaten path--while it was cool to stay in an area that was residential and see how locals did their thing, my husband and I had booked the place as a romantic, kid-free getaway for our wedding anniversary and so the location was pretty anti-climactic. But there is a really incredible noodle spot close by near the 7-11, and lots of local food sellers and fruit stands etc. The people of Tamsui are also very nice. Although the Fisherman's Wharf and Lover's Bridge are close by and walkable, there is not much to do at that spot outside of walking the bridge and boardwalk which takes less than a half hour. I suggest you stay somewhere on the strip of stores and restaurants located more centrally downtown to get a better bang for your buck and better water views. *Side note: we took a ferry over to Bali. It was a nice 10-minute boat ride, but due to the rain and being post-Typhoon, the area was pretty dead and kinda dirty. (sorry!) So, save that trip for a sunny day in early summer, not late August.

Loved the stay here! Amazing view from the room. The location is quite far off from the train station and main city area of Tamsui, but is within walking distance of Lover's Bridge.

A holiday getaway near to the centre of activity
Good location in a decent, orderly neighborhood, within walking distance to the river bank and Fisherman's Wharf, hence closeness to numerous eateries and shops. The streets around the corner are also served by several public bus services that run at regular intervals. A bus ride to nearby attractions and the Tamsui MRT Station is a breeze. Rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished.

The hotel rooms are nice and staff are friendly. But the location is a problem as you need to take a bus or taxi to go anywhere except fishermen's warf. It takes at least 1 hr to go to Taoyuan airport by taxi.

Some may think that Tamsui is far away, but I found the the neighbourhood calm and pleasant with lots of things to do. The bicycle trail into Tapei is great and a walk to Fisherman's Wharf at sunset is very nice. The hotel is clean and modern with helpful and friendly staff. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel with privacy. Booked a deluxe room and was totally awed by the bathtub next to bed. A great view too from the room. Staff are friendly and ever ready to help when ask for directions.
Bus stop is located less than 5 minutes walk away. Fisherman Wharf is just nearby and it's safe to take a walk there even though at night. Along the way there, will pass by some seafood restaurants. A nice evening stroll after dinner.

Staff: Courteous and helpful Room: clean and comfortable. European room design but sofa was kid size. Hotel offers bicycles and we had a great time riding bicycle along river bank. Location is a bit away from town center but closer to wharf. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed all amentities hotel offer.

Brand-new hotel, nicely decorated, clean, reception spoke decent English and were very helpful...couldn't fault anything. Had a 3-course lunch meal at its Italian Restaurant, which was very good. The surrounding neighbourhood was great for my morning run and grabbing local food for dinner. My business was at Tamkang University and getting a bus was easy and took about 20min.

此酒店位置方便，於輕軌淡水漁人碼頭站徒步五分鐘即達。酒店職員態度良好，辦理入住及退房手續簡單快速，可寄存行李。客房空間寛敞，設施很新，乾淨整齊，床鋪舒適。浴室很好，洗手盆位於浴室外，枱面大，方便我擺放個人衛浴用品，淋浴屏及馬桶分隔成兩區，非常好，乾淨衛生，浴室有提供洗手液、浴巾、臉巾、溂口杯、吹風機(風筒)、掛牆式沐浴露及洗髮露。房內有提供拖鞋、免費wifi訊號良好、書枱及枱橙，雪櫃及電熱水壼、馬克杯。房內唯二缺點是沒有衣櫃，近房門處只有一處供掛衣的地方，但位置設得太低，掛長外套的話很容易碰到地面。另一缺點是隔音很差，我入住的週末剛好有旅行團入住，週日一大早，那些大叔大嬸在走廊不斷大聲講話，結果我被吵醒了。酒店附近生活機能便利，附近有便利店、早餐店、咖啡館、食店、全聯超市等等。此酒店還有一項挺特別的小服務，就是入住時免費送贈一張明信片，住客寫好後可投進位於酒店門口的卡通人物\"夢獸\"，酒店會於一年後將明信片寄出(免郵費)，一年後就會收到一年前所寫的明信片，我覺得挺特別。整體來說，我很喜歡這間酒店，很有渡假感覺，下次還會再選擇。
