It was a 2 days stay with my daughter. Hotel is in a walking distance to restaurants. I felt safe driving back to the hotel late night with my daughter. We didn't use the pool or jacuzzi. It is a very nice hotel. It is a 30 minutes drive to downtown.

Clean room with mini fridge, comfortable bed/pillows! TV connection was a little temperamental but we didn't watch much. Nice pool/hottub.

TLDR : Older property updated, food is good, location is good, staff is good.

Standard expectation: Overall stay was good. Location is great. It an older property that's been updated.There had been a storm and when we woke up the floor by the window was wet. Looks like this was a known issue based on seeing repair attempts. There is one very slow elevator, which is almost comical. In room TV and options is very dated. One morning we could hear our neighbors \"working out\" but that's not on the property just be aware rooms are connected. However the hotel has quiet hours 10pm - 7am, which is why the room next to us decided to wait to \"work out.\" Breakfast was good and only at once at the restaurant in the evening. Staff was great! Our server was energetic and professional. Overall staff is 10/10 ! The bodega market in the lobby has more than expected.

We had to change the room twice. The AC was down on a summer day and the other room actually did not lock behind you as we thought, so we asked for a different room when they were not able to fix it. The height of the rooms is pretty low, its an older building.

Ordered food at Bar Louie, the restaurant in the lobby. Food was great, however the service was slow. We would stay here again the next time we’re in Chicago.

I was very disappointed with my stay. I was celebrating my son's 13th birthday and booked two rooms. At check-in, the front desk agent placed our rooms four doors apart, which was inconvenient for our group. Both rooms only had two towels, despite there being a total of six people in our party. I requested additional towels, but they were never delivered. Throughout the night, other guests were slamming doors and banging on room doors, making it very difficult to get any sleep. On top of that, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable—I could feel the springs through it. Considering I paid over $700 per room, I expected a much higher level of service, comfort, and overall guest experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet those expectations.

It is an old property and it shows. The carpet in the rooms is old and musty. The bath tub has moldy caulk, the shower curtain is poorly installed that leaks excessive water next to the shower head. The baseboards are dusty, the bathroom door kept slamming behind us and has liquid brown stains flowing down it.
Unpleasant stay overall.

The staff provided great service and were very friendly. The room was okay, but it could benefit from a better showerhead. I also noticed a few stains on the sheets. Other than that, my stay was pleasant. My only other suggestion would be to keep the pool open a little later than 9:00 PM.

The beds were comfortable. Pool was nice. The rest was just mediocre. Water station was broken. Elevator was super hot and super slow. The bathroom side mirror fell off the wall and smashed, I had to ask again 3 hours later for someone to come clean it up. Hallways were dirty. There’s more “elite” and “points” parking spots than regular. The price was affordable for NU graduation weekend but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Good restaurant—food and our server, Jerrod, were the highlights of the stay. The bathroom was new and clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast starts sort of late at 6:30– maybe a coffee station earlier would be helpful for early risers. The carpets need to be replaced, or at very least—vacuumed thoroughly. TV had no signal, which we reported in person and by responding to text message with no help.

We originally were given cards to a room that was already being occupied, so the security in that way doesn’t seem secure, it made me uncomfortable thinking that could have happened to us while we were there. Then I asked for an extra towel later in the evening since there were 4 of us and only 3 towels, and it never got delivered to the room. Overall I didn’t feel very safe or comfortable/clean there. We became quite paranoid for the rest of our stay, feeling like we needed to check for one way mirrors and cameras, and we’re not usually like that.

Feel that they are short staffed. Very hard to get anyone on phone. Took over 20 mins to get towels. Staff at bar louie for dinner was rude.

They held an event for 1,000 people so there was no parking for hotel guests. I drove around for 30 minutes hoping for someone to leave. If they had told me, I would have stayed somewhere else. I will never go back.

No one told me about the breakfast.

The exterior of the hotel presented an impressive and well-maintained appearance. However, as soon as we got into our room we realized it was a connecting one—connecting door was unlocked and open. The door only had a basic sliding lock instead of a deadbolt, which raised concerns regarding security. After checking our room throughly we up pushed the desk in front of the door. Additionally, we encountered several issues, including a broke hand soap pump, inadequate water pressure, and a bathtub that failed to drain properly. During use of the shower, we found ourselves standing in ankle-deep water, indicating a significant drainage problem, and the AC wasn't working so our room was hot. We won't be staying there again.

This is at best a \"good\" hotel but not excellent. It is convenient for the Airport area and is priced accordingly.

From my experience, a great deal of staff training is required to ensure that the staff truly understand \"customer service\" and how a smile, an acknowledgment, a \"hello\" can make such a difference.

From the moment I tried to check-in to be told, bluntly, that check was not until 3 and I should wait \"over there\". No \"welcome\", \"how was your journey\", \"nice to see you\", thanks for choosing us\", etc... It became clear later that this was the Owner's Son - there is clearly need for a great deal of \"customer service\" training ...

We arrived at 1am, the reservation was made and paid in advance. This man asked for every possible proof of id minus a blood sample. He was doing his job, that’s fine. This hotel has a bar located inside, it’s loud but did not bother us. It is a weird hotel with the pool in the middle of the lobby, the complimentary breakfast is only complimentary for 1 adult and 2 kids, what if you have 2 adults, is it complimentary, I have no clue. Our room had 4 people and 2 towels. One of those towels had something black on it, see the photo, so I asked for more towels. They gave me 3. We came back to the room after being out for the day, room serviced, and only had 2 towels again. So they took my 2 extra clean towels back. The room has 2 double beds wouldn’t having 4 towels make sense.

Anyway, the shower/ tub did not drain so you have to take a shower in your own dirty water. I asked 2 times to fix it. If the shower is running and you use the restroom, you can’t flush the toilet while the shower is on.

The room next to us had to change rooms because saw roaches.

The customer service is not bad, it’s just average. No one is rude but they aren’t super nice either.

You can tell the hotel is locally owned and they are working in the hotel, watching every single penny spent to the point that it affects the guest.

$574 for 2 nights, I am not from Chicago, maybe I could not get better for the money, I don’t know but I do know if I were to come back to Chicago I would not stay here.

We found out on day 2 that our door does not lock and is not up to code. You can open the door without a key! The inside door block does not work because the door does not line up to the frame.
There is dried blood on the edge of the tub and under the toilet.
Management not available and you’re told to send videos of the concerns to an email ([email protected]). No response. I have the videos.

The hot tub did not work and the pool was disgusting (stairs were all slippery as if covered by algae). Breakfast was excellent, although they ran out of coffee and it took a very long time for them to replace. In the room the air conditioning did not work and even though the thermostat said 67 the room was very hot. Also, the faucet in the shower was backwards (hot was cold, cold was hot) and very loose.
The night staff was nice, but he told us that we could use the backdoor to get back into the hotel after putting the parking pass on my truck but it did not work with the key and we had to walk back around the entire hotel. The receptionist in the morning, despite hearing that we were going to the hot tub, and getting bracelets for it, decided to let us find out on our own that it was not working. Had we known, my fiance wouldn't have specifically gone out at that moment to get a bathing suit. Instead we found out when I went to try the hot tub. When I reported that it did not work she said, \"Oh, I know, they are working on it\" . This was extremely frustrating. This looks as if it could be a gorgeous hotel, but stuff like that, especially since the hot tub was one of the reasons I booked that location, really brings down the overall quality of the location.

The staff was great, the facility fine, just a couple of minor things. The toilet paper holder was quite inconveniently placed, and there was plenty of hot water, but the temperature kept changing. The doors and stairwells are a bit weird. For some reason, the door for the stairwell to the second floor didn't unlock with the card key for the second floor room, but the door to the first floor did. All pretty minor things. We didn't visit the bar or restaurant so I can't speak to those.

Our AC was broken and it was probably about 80 degrees in the room, we notified the staff and requested maintenance and the front desk staff said they would send someone and/or change our room but neither happened and it wasn’t followed up with so we had to keep our room door propped open to get some air. Housekeeping also never came to our room so we had to go ask for garbage bags to discard our trash. We also requested more towels and instead of the front desk giving us a few, they said they would be sent to our room and again, never came. Horribly inattentive staff and not at all worth a $500 2 night stay. Please do better

I reserved and paid for ahead of time through Expedia for two nights the luxury room with two queen beds. Upon arrival I was given a room that we could not get into because it was an adjoining room and the prior occupants had flipped the security latch over that is on the inside of the door that prevents people from coming in. The room he sent us to next was small with two standard beds. The AC had not been turned on and the refrigerator did not work. I went up to the front desk and explained the situation and he said he would move us to a different room. He asked me to follow him to look at the room because he did not want to continue to move me from room to room. So room number three was exactly the same set up as room number two. Then he suggested I go to a standard room with one bed. At that point we had spent way too much time walking around this hotel while he tried to put me in every room other than what I had purchased. He told me because I booked through Expedia. I would only get a standard room or basically just get whatever they had available because Expedia does not forward the booking information to them that the only information they get is that I booked a room. I have used Expedia They are awesome and I have never had a problem before at any hotel that I have booked through them. He said in the future, I need to call the hotel directly if I want to make sure and get the proper room. It was a terrible experience.

The room was clean and uncluttered, a bit dated in decor and amenities. The TV is not smart tv so be prepared to watch streaming content on your phone. Could use renovation. Staff was polite and friendly but the front desk seemed understaffed. I would often have to go downstairs to get help. And help took its time coming to the room. Dinner at the restaurant was an unpleasant experience, I ate the worst steak ever there.

Would I go back there? Yes. Hopefully they would have upgraded to smart tv!

The room appeared to be clean but we found ants shortly after we got settled. Reported it to the front desk and request the room be treated immediately, 45 minutes later after a second trip to the front desk we got a response. They sprayed and made no other effort to correct the situation. Told
Is the would re clean in 2 to 4 hours after the spray had a chance to work. Luckily we had a concert so being out of the room wasn’t an issue. When we returned all seems better. When we got up in the morning we found more ants which I took to the front desk. All we got was an I’m Sorry. I requested the room be thoroughly clean and we headed out for the day. When we returned 6 hours later the room had still not been cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff was not helpful and no consideration given to extreme inconveniences that the situation caused. Poor customer service and very bad experience. They offered to change our rooms but had nothing comparable to what we paid for nor did they offer any compensation for the trouble and stress. Worst experience I have ever had. Would have found a different hotel but the room was prepaid and no way to get refund.

The receptionist was not helpful a few times. I had a few issues since the beginning of my stay there was no power on the side tables to charge phones but maintenance came to fix that issue. Later on my bathroom door didn’t close and didn’t lock and was told someone from maintenance would come they never showed up. The laundry room has signs on the dryers saying only quarters because the card machine wasn’t working. I went to the reception after waiting and waiting they had me going all over the place because reception has no quarters to change. I went to the bar where they told me to go and they also didn’t have quarters. I went to the little store and they didn’t have any quarters. After I find out the card machine did work. I felt frustrated
