I came back to La Mejor on a second visit, and it was just as delightful as the first. The location, the quiet interior rooms (granted, no windows), and the breakfast all standouts. But once again, the thing that really made my stay was the awesome team of people working there. They were all so kind and went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my time in Hanoi. Dieu was tremendously helpful with support and recs. And Jane’s understanding of what guests need to ensure they have a great experience is unmatched. On my first visit, her local recs and bookings were gold. On my most recent visit, I had a problem completely unrelated to the hotel and Jane went way out of her way to solve it. If I was boss, she’d be in charge of everything.

The people there make the experience and when I’m back in Hanoi I’ll stay there again.

The staff was phenomenal and the customer service excellent. They really care that you have a wonderful experience. The hotel has everything you need and a rooftop bar with a nice view (despite the super loud club music even during sunset). It’s located in the middle of bars, hostels, etc. so there is expected noise at night which didn’t really bother me. Walking distance to the lake, restaurants, etc.

This is an awesome hotel in a great area. Everything Hanoi has to offer is accessible from here. After a day of enjoying busy Hanoi this hotel, restaurant and bar serves as an ideal place to recharge. The quality of the room exceeded my expectations as did the breakfast.

It’s the service they provide that makes them stand out above other hotels. The hospitality is beyond normal. It appears their model is to provide service that is well above standards and provide for all your needs to make your stay comfortable. Gourmet restaurant inside and also a rooftop bar. Classy. Hotel located in the middle of a busy/party area of the city with many restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to someone who wants to experience a classy stay in the middle of the action with many options within walking distance.

The hotel is very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. The setting in the old quarter is central and close to most things. We booked the La Mejor Suite which was very nice and well presented. The suites is however directly below the restaurant and you hear a lot of foot traffic noise in the morning. Despite being very central located the hotel blocks out the majority of noise well, even with several roof top bars being close by. Closely located to beer street which is lively to say the least. Roof top bar in the hotel is amazing and staff were fantastic. Overall a nice place to stay.

The rooms are set back from the noisy main drag and located right in the hears of nightlife and quiet daytime coffee shops and cafes.

The shower had very hot water quickly and with high pressure. The bed and linens were high quality - and the breakfast with eggs to order had ample meats, fruits, breads, and rice options.

I highly recommend this hotel !!

Arrived in HaNoi on a weekend - the hustle bustle in the old town was mind boggling and the street in front of the hotel was impassable but the hotel staff met our taxi at the corner and carried our bags to the hotel. I loved this trip, and staying at La Mejor made it even more special. It was my first solo adventure, and I’m so glad I chose this place. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed to visit, and the complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations, especially with the beautiful morning views.

What truly stood out was the staff, so warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They even prepared food for me before I checked out, knowing I had an early flight and would miss breakfast. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.

This was our favorite stop we stayed at in Hanoi and northern Vietnam. Everyone we interacted with showed such great hospitality and was very welcoming.

This hotel is a gem. Right in the thick of it in the Old Quarter. Lots of bars and restaurants, ATM, laundry, spa, SIM card shop all a few minutes away - it had everything you might need on its doorstep. Walking distance to the lake and water puppet theatre too. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well looked after. We stopped two different times in the same week and experienced two different type of room. Both were very clean and comfortable. The rooms at the back of the hotel with no windows were quieter as further away from the vibrant street below. But perhaps the best feature of this hotel is the staff. All without exception were cheerful, polite and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Anh (Jane) and the team were first class. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. We were served hot ginger tea on arrival. Very refreshing. Everything was to our satisfaction. The staff were excellent and all of them spoke very good English. Welcome fruit basket in room was also appreciated. The bed was big and comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. Hot hot water for showers. Because of the location it can get somewhat noisy at times from the action outside. No fault of the hotel. Close to everything you need. The hotel has a very good restaurant which we used a couple of times when we wanted to get out of the mele of the Old Quarter. We enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

The perfect haven of calm in the vibrant beer street precinct.
Staff were welcoming and very helpful.
Our room had a sting area which was a lovely bonus.
Food and service was a standout. The hotel offer a lovely breakfast which offered an excellent variety of options. Dinner in the restaurant was wonderful with a very good menu. My husband had the duck which he said was the best he’s ever eaten.
Sky bar is a good spot for a pre dinner drink with good views and an evening breeze.
We loved our stay and hope to return soon

Great hotel

Very good hotel.

Fantastic location for nightlife and restaurants. Close to tourist attractions.

Right on beer street, but very quiet in the hotel room.

Excellent service from staff throughout the hotel.
They were happy to help with any questions, recommendations with food places, bars and tours.

I was greeted at check in by reception staff called Jane.
Very helpful and friendly.

Then I met Du who recommended tours I wanted to visit.
Brilliant recommendations, I went to Halong Bay and Ninh Binh.

I arrived at the hotel early and as soon as the room was ready they allowed me to have access to the room.

Highly recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Thank you to all the staff, I really enjoy my stay at the hotel.

Right at the start of beer street, in the heart of the old quarter. Views from rhe “view” rooms are a bit funny, but the room quality and location make this a winner. Like most hotels in the old quarter, the street frontage is quite small, so easy to walk past it. Breakfast is amazing as well, and the staff are super friendly.

La Mejor and their staff gave my wife and myself a five star experience! Du looked after every need we had, from booking a grab/uba to day trips and massage and salon bookings for my wife. And as translator for some of the business i had to do while at Hanoi.
It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel.

Luxury in the Old Quarter

Formerly the average Ta Hien hotel, recently upgraded to a luxury venue. Excellent reception service (Thanks Anne) amazing breakfast on the 9th floor looking over Ha Noi, and a bar on the rooftop. Close to the tourist bars, but if you want value for money cheap venues very close. Hoa Kiem lake, Water Puppets 5 minutes walk. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby in the wonderful surroundings of the Old Quarter

My gosh this is the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Right from when we walked into the hotel, we were greeted with drinks and snacks and our bags were brought up to our room for us. The host gave us various recommendations for food and activities around the area. The room was lovely. They even offered us a complimentary upgrade without us even asking! It had all the amenities needed. In the morning, they offered the best hotel breakfast I have ever experienced! So many different cuisines represented in the large spread of hot and cold dishes. It blew all my expectations out of the water. I wish I could always stay at this hotel wherever I traveled! Kudos to a great team at La Mejor Hotel!
