Up checking in I found many lightbulbs missing and went to shower and the shower wouldn't drain. The front desk staff was super nice and accommodating and moved me to another room which was much nicer but had no hot water.
The staff is great though.

First room I was assigned was not clean, it actually was a complete mess with trash everywhere and the shelf ripped off the wall.
The second room was attempted to be clean but the wall next to the bed was bowing like it was going to fall inward, had drywall all over the floor and the smell of mold was very strong.
I renovate houses for a living, I know mold very well and my throat was getting scratchy within 5 minutes of being in the room. The wall with the bow is completely compromised and was wet, behind that drywall I will 100% guarantee that its black and not being addressed.

Even with all this I tried to make it work by propping the door open, I was only trying to sleep for a few hours before getting back on the road.

It was bad, I could do it. I packed up and left, got another room further down the road in Daphne at a very nice Fairfield.

I do not know how this hotel is allowed to keep their franchise rights. Its complete trash and needs torn down.

Great location but maintenance is awful and clearly nothing is being addressed properly.

The staff was very friendly. However, our light fixture was broke upon arrival and hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom. There were discarded chicken bones found on top of the toilet seat (even though housekeeping had just left the room), and our bathroom flooded pretty much each time one of us took a shower. It’s a great location along the parade route, but could use some major updates!

Dirtiest room I’ve ever seen. I work in hotel housekeeping and the state of the room vs. the $400 I paid to stay two nights was ridiculous. Floor hadn’t even been swept or mopped. I have photos of everything. I was appalled at how different the photos on the listing are compared to how this room actually looked in person. Roaches crawling in the room. Comforter on the bed was disgusting. The whole room was unbelievable.

This was the most run-down ratty room I have ever stayed in. The door was barely hanging on the hinges. Daylight was visible on all 4 sides of the door. The toilet seat was not connected to the toilet. A lounge chair was nasty and looked like a science experiment gone bad. I will say the staff was very friendly. I. Will sleep in my car on the street before I stay there again.

The staff was friendly. But in room 208, the curtain sheer was torn, the writing desk was bent way down in the middle, the nightstand drawer won't close properly, the TV and phone didn't work. The a/c/heating unit was so high up on the wall, I had to use a rolling office chair to stand in (yikes) to change the temperature. The mini fridge and microwave in the room was very nice. The coffee maker was so filthy, I cleaned it thoroughly before using. My friends were in room 309 - plaster had fallen off the ceiling and was in the floor when they arrived. They also said they saw bugs. They checked out immediately. :(

Booked two rooms for a week, Stayed one night realized the conditions were questionable, checked out the next day, manager was not present and I was told to come back the next day for refund, I returned the next day, but the manager was not present again, called several times several different days have yet to been issued a refund. Meanwhile I had to book 2 rooms at a different hotel problem still unresolved

This was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, bathroom was dirty and there was a strong odor of urine, bathroom door was completely broken in half and the shower was extremely dirty and wouldn’t drain. I will definitely be passing this place by next time through Mobile.

We arrived at the property at 7pm, the buidlings looked cute, the price should have been the giveaway this wasnt going to go well. We went into reception and it took more than 20 mins to get anybody to help. (Just as a reference, the Holiday inn across the street helped us immediately and was extremely friendly) So when we finally got staff, she was not friendly, no help on where our room was located, no suggestions on things to do in the area, just handed me the key and nothing else, until I was walking out when she gave me every excuse for why she \"didnt hear us\". The elevator reaked of smoke, we got to the room, the key didnt work. My husband had to go get a key that did work, at this point I was already trying to book elsewhere. My point here is do not book here, the Malaga Inn was 2 blocks over and great.

First we were given key cards that didn't work and when we were able to get in to the room, there were no linens just a mattress, the floor was dirty and there were empty soda cans strewn about. When we got a new room it had 2 double beds instead of the king bed we paid for. Coffee maker had everything but an actual coffee pot. Saw 3 roaches through the course of the night. We left before sunrise.

Shantell Jackson was great!!! when we first arrived she was very helpful with directions to our destination that night and what restaurants were good in the area!!. However when we were finally able to check in later it was not Shantell at the counter, it was another lady.

Our stay was extremely disappointing & honestly stressful from the moment we arrived. Despite completing check-in ahead of time, I waited about 7 minutes in the lobby before an employee came out to assist. We were initially assigned a room on the third floor, with no elevator available. After carrying everything up, our key would not work. When we tried to enter the room, we discovered someone else was already staying in the room. This was extremely alarming & unacceptable.

We went back to the front office & were given a new room, thankfully on the first floor. The entire property felt very sketchy, with questionable activity & people lingering around the rooms and parking lot. While it’s technically in the historic district, this is by far the worst “hotel” in the area & should honestly be labeled a motel, not a hotel. The room itself was filthy. There was no working heater, it was 36* outside. The Floors were so dirty that our child’s onesie was black with grime after crawling for only a few minutes. Roaches, visible mold & a strong smoke smell. Flooring was poorly installed, with sections not even connected, exposing concrete underneath. Curtains were damaged & would not close properly, we had to improvise a way to secure them just to have privacy. The condition of the room made us feel uncomfortable & unsafe. The only positive thing I can say is that the breakfast was decent & we didn’t have major complaints in that area. This property is nothing like the photos!

Bathroom door and room door didn’t shut securely due to water damage, after dark people were loitering outside rooms and in parking lot and we were verbally harassed by a woman who was either mentally ill or under the influence of something.

The hotel rooms where old the 1st room they put us in smelled of mold the second room they gave us nothing worked in it and the 3rd room the heat didn’t work tv had one channel only the room are nothing what the promo on there site the outside was full of people dealing drugs all night the staff there is very rude when asking about things and telling people are internet is down so deal with it they promo that for a small fee you can leave car there for cruise but only if you book right from them not though 3rd party they never say that till you get there we seen people coming there to check in and taking one look at it and leaving right away they don’t have coffee or any kind of breakfast like they promote in a nutshell this hotel need to be condemned and tore down by the city I would stay away from there if your looking to stay for a cruise or to visit the city

We had ordered this room ahead of time of our vacation and got approved. However, driving 7 hours to this Quality
Inn and thinking we have a room available at around 10:30 pm we were not greeted by anyone. The attendant came around the corner of the office area and said if we had a room and we told her yes. She asked if it was from a third party and we said yes. We were then told there was no rooms available and they had overbooked her. We were then told that they tried to call and didn't have a phone number available. Well, no since we booked the reservation online with an email. NOT ONE person from anywhere sent an email once we got there and checked the email where the reservation was sent to. We then had to call around and find another place to stay at almost midnight that night after traveling all day. The service was unprofessional, and we will not be booking another stay with Quality Inn. I had to call from my personal phone and book another reservation while standing in your lobby. We ended up staying about 3 blocks away from your building and will most definitely be giving them a 5-star review. Do better or do not list your rooms on this website.

So, room was VERY worn out, smelled and in bathroom light fixture was just hanging by wires, bathroom shower was moldy and the molding wasn't at all in place, TV didn't work, and the list goes on. Have pictures. Went to front desk and the only option was to move to 4 th floor, but was told elevator was out of order.Couldnt do that due to knee replacement surgery. Cannot believe how disgusting this was. And Expedia has it on their list. Horrible.....

Worst motel room I’ve ever stayed in in my life! The place needs to be torn down. I have a longlist and pictures. Room stunk, was filthy, caulking coming out of the bathtub exhaust fan didn’t work in the bathroom, stains on the floor by the toilet Toilet roll holder broke.Floor had pieces broken out of it. Desk and tv table were warped and looked like they were going to fall apart any time. Lamps were rusty. Stain on the chair. Room right next to us looked like it was broken into. Garbage in the hallways. Ice machine didn’t work and probably a few more things I forgot.

Booked a King bed months ago, was told after a few puzzled look faces that it wasn’t available, how about a twin beds. Said it was OK. Got to room, one bed with pillow cases, the other bed had no pillow cases. Turn the tv on…no channels/cable. Went to office was promised someone would come looks at it. No one comes. I go take a shower later that night, no full size bath towel. Only wash cloths. Turn the key in the next morning told the lady at the desk all that happened and was told “I don’t know why they lie to y'all, haven’t had cable in some time and the owner puts no money into this place. I’ve stayed here last year…and this place has gone down substantially in the last year.

We travel a lot, and have stayed in amazing hotels and some pretty crappy places, but this was possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever had. On check in, when I gave my name, the girl at the desk couldn't be bothered to get off her personal phone call. She didn't ask for ID or Credit Card, just said there wasn't the King room I'd asked for available but we could have 2 doubles and gave me the room cards. This, despite the fact that there were only about 4 other cars in the parking lot. Going up stairs, you could see at least 4 rooms we passed had been stripped and not re-made. Our room was filthy and smelled awful. I picked up the lid to the ice bucket (which looked like someone had used as an ashtray) and a cockroach ran out from under it. Needless to say, we went straight to the desk and told her the room was unacceptable and she canceled our reservation without blinking and eye-still not hanging up her personal phone call. Since we'd booked through Expedia, we asked for something to signify that we hadn't stayed there and she insisted she couldn't give us anything as we were 'out of her system'. It took hours on the phone with Expedia, but we were able to get the stay refunded, as they weren't able to contact anyone at the hotel (I'm guessing she was too busy on her personal call to answer their call). Final words: I would not, under any circumstances, stay at this hotel. I would sleep in my car first! If I could give it a negative star rating I would.

Upon getting there the night staff lady didn't appear too friendly. She wasn't rude or anything, just not friendly. The key to the room didn't work so we returned to have it fix, it still didn't work so the night clerkobwd me to a new room. That room was musty smelling. I discovered that it has water on the floor leaking from the AC unit. I reported the issues to the morning clerk who was friendly and said she would have maintance check on it. Other than the leaking AC and musty smell the place was ok and did what I needed.

Fine. No one seemed extremely interested. Breakfast was. Horrible. Like earring left overs. Breakfast personal stood eating an apple. Toaster was broken. and we had to put towels on the floor to absorb the a/c leak. Overall it was “ok” only stayed avoid 6 hours. Enough to get a bath sleep bit and leave. The staff sssms disinterested and depressed. Maybe that’s what you get with the late and early shift. We checked in late and left early. It wasn’t dirty just dumpy and aged.

Place is in horrible condition and dare I say a potential health hazard.

To start the elevator smells like cigarettes and burnt motor oil. When it made it to the floor i was staying on it felt like it was struggling to make it.

The room i stayed in was falling apart. Had to use brute strenght to push the door open. Part of the ceiling falling off and walls badly cracked. The bed was hard as a rock. Towels provided had multiple stains looked like blood and pee or poop. They were cleaned from the smell of the towels. The room reeked of mold and mildew. You can see mold growing on the ceiling near the ac unit. In the same area as ceiling damage. Lastly The night i checked in the cable was not working for the tv.

Definitely not worth the amount i paid for the night.

The place need major tlc. The pictures online are very misleading.

The girl at the front desk was extremely nice when i checked in. It is also close to bars and clubs if that is your thing.

It was quiet. That also may be becase alot of rooms on the floor i stayed on appear to be unusable.

We had been driving 14 hour and just needed to take break. The location was easy off/on the freeway.

The property is beautiful however, the rooms have not been maintained. Our room had black mold above the AC, in the shower, and along the ceilings.

The ceiling showed moisture blisters.

NOW, lets chat about the good things which are just as important.

The beds are amazing, best night sleep Ive had in weeks.

Oh and the shower water pressure. WOW!!! It was outstanding, a standing massage.

In spite of the mold. I would return again for the bed and shower.

When we arrived we were told that because the cleaning staff hadn't showed up that day that there were no clean rooms for us. They were able to find a room, but the door wouldn't lock. Then the next day something malfunctioned in the door, and it wouldn't open. The maintenance person wasn't there, so we had to wait for over an hour in our pajamas. This caused us to miss one of our activities. Then, when it was fixed, we had to move to another room. The continental breakfast was great, the pool was good, and the manager was very nice.

We checked in late in the evening and the person at the desk was very sweet. The building is old and rundown. There was a bag of trash just sitting right outside the elevator door overnight. Once we got to the room, it smelled of mildew. I had to go down to the lobby to request new sheets and change them as the sheets on the bed were incredible stained and there was a good amount of hair in the bed. There was also hair all over the bathroom floor. We stayed simply because it was so late and we had an early morning the next day. We were supposed to stay two nights but checked out after the first because it had been so bad. The clothes I slept in still smelled like mildew multiple days later.

Checking in was okay, friendly enough. Left without checking room for lets be real I rented through Expedia. 3 hours later I returned to the Quality Suites to find the room door open but went inside anyway, took a look around, went back outside to double check the room number and immediately left the place, went to the office imformed them, at which point they checked their laptop and was told \"NON-REFUNDABLE. I just looked at them, turned around, got in my car and hit the gas to put as much distance between them and me as possible. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot to the main road before I had to hit the break for it being the 3rd of July. The one thing I will say about what I experienced is \"it made my skin crawl \".

Worst experience ever! Would not let us use the restroom before checkin. We got there 5 hours early. After we checked in the room had mold on the walls and lamp shade. The curtains closed with a thumb tack. The floor had water all over it from the air conditioner. The toilet was flithy and had rust all over it. The room smelled terrible. We stayed an hour and asked for a refund but was told we had to pay for a whole night because we were in the room for an hour. Do not recommend this place at all. The health department needs to get involved.

Mold, leaks and more.

Throughtout my 1 night stay I was put into 3 different rooms. 1st room(416) the AC unit drain had water running down the wall within inches of a wall outlet, the sink wouldnt drain, and the bathroom door had been broken off its hinges. Upon returning to my room that night the lock wouldnt work, so they moved me to another room(111) until morning to get maintenance to fix the door, so I had none of my belongings except what I had on me. This room smelled of mold so bad as soon as I opened the door. Pictures are attached of some spots. Water was standing under the floors and would push from under it when you walked on it. The walls were moldy and some even soft from being wet. So i got moved again, this time to 205. This is 3am by this point and im just ready for bed. Luckily the only thing wrong with this room was the toilet wouldnt flush. I got into my original room the next morning and got my stuff. Reported these issues to the staff. Have stayed here multiple times and always ignored 1 or 2 issues but ran into quite a few this time with each room they gave me.

One of the days the electricity was out overnight and all day. Also the room was not cleaned once or gave any new towels the entire stay. I have a CPAP machine that I need to be able to breath and could not use it without the electric being on . Just a very old hotel. I understand it’s in the historic district but that doesn’t mean the rooms need to be as old!

First room we were given had not even been cleaned from previous guest the second room upon entering smelled like mold and the bed bases and furniture had mildew . The air conditioner leaked water all over the table and floor

Disappoint from Baton Rouge Louisiana

There were rats running around and the door to my room had on opening larger enough for a rat to come in. I did not stay there. I did my bike ride and went to Greyhound bus station and waited for my return bus back home to Baton Rouge.

Fair price for older property in historic area that is showing some wear. The bed was clean and comfortable. The other furnishings were quite worn. Walkable to cool entertainment options nearby. Breakfast was pretty much what you find in most two or three star hotels. What you give up in aesthetics you keep in your wallet AND can spend on the great restaurants a few blocks away .

We booked a king room. When we got to the property the man at the desk told us the elevators were not working and our king room was not available, I asked if we would get money back, he stated no. So we went to the room, initially the key was not working so we had to go back and reprogram the keys. The room was dirty, the blankets were stained, we were only offered two towels. I would have paid more for a better hotel!!!!!

The bathroom wasn’t cleaned when I took the room. It looked like it had a public hair and some urine on the toilet seat. My room didn’t have towels. I had to go down and ask for towels and I gave a complain about the toilet. The guy who worked up front was very nice but his problem solution was limited. He offered me bleach to clean it myself. I figured I might as well since it won’t get any cleaner by itself. The floors were sticky. The bed was made and clean. The parking was easy and plentiful. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Staff member was nice but that’s not enough for a good stay. A better solution would have been to offer me a new room. Knowing what I know now I would have paid an extra $40 and went elsewhere.

There was feces in one room and the other room the door wouldn’t close or lock… we ended up not staying there as a result of a poor excuse of a hotel… Expedia should be aware of all the hotels they deal with, and should give refunds accordingly!!! Highly upset with Expedia and Quality inn!!
