The reception staff were exceptionally helpful. We arrived late as our train was delayed and they were able to help with transport and dinner reservation.

Staff was great especially the guy who helps with the breakfast and the bar area all day, very helpful and remembers each morning what your favorite coffee is. We had a great view with a balcony overlooking the sea and directly across the street from Onde Verde Hotel for a lot less money. I would recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay here in Praiano. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful—they really made us feel at home. The whole hotel is beautifully kept, spotlessly clean, and decorated with so much care and attention.

Breakfast was just amazing every morning—not only delicious, but served with the most breathtaking view. Sitting there with coffee and pastries while looking out over the coast is something I’ll never forget.

The location is perfect too, the quieter end of Praiano above the marina with amazing restaurants and walk down there, with a bus stop just outside, which made it so easy to get around. It felt like the best spot on the Amalfi Coast—peaceful, but still close to everything.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Such a wonderful place, and we’d recommend it to anyone

This hotel was very quaint across the street from the sea We had a beautiful view and balcony that we used and enjoyed daily A short walk and you were at the beach and several very lovely restaurants to eat / drink at It was also a short drive to downtown area Breakfast was very pleasant and food was fresh Our only small complaint is that the bed was very hard and the pillows very flat Plus shower was one of kind The staff and location made up for that

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The property is located near a bus stop which was really convenient since it is located between Positano and Amalfi. The room was clean and spacious. The view from the room was beautiful and the walkout balcony was a nice size. The bathroom was spacious and great water pressure on the showers. Breakfast was tasty and the staff was excellent. They even provided dining recommencations and made reservations for dinner and helped with transportation arrangements. We had a really nice stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic hotel with incredible views of the coast from our balcony. Clean, quiet, good breakfast with the same views as our room. I would recommend having some sort of transportation to get around from here. We rented a scooter and had a great time riding from Amalfi to Positano.....and everything in between.

Hidden Affordable Gem

Stayed one night on my way to Agerola for a wedding. For a few hundred a night I had stunning balcony with 270 degree ocean view. Definitely get a balcony unit. Location was ideal for relaxed stay as it was situated in quiet Praiano halfway between popular (but overcrowded) Positano and Amalfi towns with bus stop right across the street. The beach (stone) and water access were about ten minutes walk down steep hill but very doable for any healthy person. You can rent umbrellas and chairs for swimming and sun bathing. Also, the walkway down was dotted with multiple good restaurants and bars with ocean views. There was also a convenience store 100M up main road where you can also get the bus passes and an ATM (but not a bank so be careful to decline dynamic conversion offer to avoid fees). I did not have a car but I think they offer parking. This was a lovely spot to relax and you can use the bus to explore but relying on the bus alone can be time consuming as it doesn’t stop if it’s full so a car will be desirable if you want on demand mobility. Taxis are extremely expensive ($90 Euro to Amalfi) and sometimes hard to book. You could just stay at the hotel area to relax for several days and pay for guided tours (Amalfi, Capri, Positano, Sorrento, etc) but bring a car if you want to be independently mobile. Note that parking in the towns will also be really expensive though.

We had a wonderful stay at La Perla. The views from our rooms as well as the beautiful breakfast room were fantastic. The location was great for restaurants and water taxis as well as the cove for swimming. The small local stores had all we needed and more. The people in town were warm and welcoming. It was a gem of a find on the Amalfi coast because we had all the charm and none of the crowds.

I’ve visited Praiano over ten summers, sometimes at a rental house, sometimes Hotel Onda Verde. This hotel is just above the beach and above Hotel Onda Verde. Onda Verde has a few more luxury options (view restaurant with great menu and an amazing pool) but frankly I prefer this for the value. It’s small and charming. The gentleman at the morning breakfast is very kind, housekeeping is done to the highest standard, the hotel is convenient to great restaurants and the best beach. I could not have been more pleased. I think the breakfast menu would benefit from fewer but better items, but that’s a small thing. Coffee with a view is all I really need in the morning. Highly recommend. I will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Room is always cleaned. So happy about the AC system. Very convenient location right off the coast. If you don’t want to pay $50 euro for a taxi everywhere you go, don’t miss a location along the coast. It’s harder than you think to commute in areas up the mountain without your own car or scooter.

Wonderful spot with incredible service

We stayed here on our mini-moon. It was a last minute change of itinerary after we got rained out of the Aeolian Islands. Davide & team were extremely helpful as we made last minute plans & gave us a lovely room in honor of the occasion. The hotel itself is gorgeous - balconies with stunning views, very clean, delicious breakfast to fuel us for a couple of long days hiking & walking. Excellently located too: bus stop outside the front door, a few minutes' walk from the start of the Path of Gods trail, and a fierce set of restaurants nearby (try Il Pino & Da Armando). If we ever make it back to Amalfi, would stay again!

The staff was the rudest I’ve ever personally dealt with. Refused to call a taxi when. checking out, even though when I checked in they said they could call a taxi whenever. My room appeared clean but the sheets had yellow stains on them and there were ants everywhere in the room. The stairs and hill to this place are absolutely awful and the staff is unwilling to help you. Do not expect a big breakfast of any type here. The smallest selection I’ve had while in Italy for 2 months. They will not help you and refused to change my sheets when I asked.

Excellent location in Priano, can easily walk to Marina Apia to catch a boat to Capri or walk to many fine restaurants within 1-12 mins along the beautiful scenic alleys of the Amalfi Coast. The hotel is spotless, friendly and helpful staff, and offers a delightful filling breakfast including coffee bar to make your morning cappuccino or espresso- and all with a dreamy view of the coast! Definitely booking this hotel again next visit.

If you have stamina to climb.

Prepare to have good stamina to climb up a steep slope then flights of stairs to your room.
It may have been a 3 stars in its hay days but it’s definitely a 1 star for me. The toilet seat was missing when they check me in and the room looked like an hourly love motel. We asks for a replacement room and they were v poor in attitude. Managed to get a change after being upset against our liking being on a holiday. Made us come to the reception (4 flights of stairs) when we didn’t park our car properly - due to lack of parking space. Perhaps the reception lack vocab of English, he said ‘I don’t care..’ even when I look pathetically tired and couldn’t get to the slope to park the car into their locked car park. Overall really unpleasant stay at vacation area.

We loved Hotel La Perla - the location (spectacular), our room with a view of the ocean, the dining room manager (amazing and helpful). There was nothing not to like. We loved staying in Praiano as well, away from the busy tourist scene of Positano and Amalfi. It is a bit of a climb up to the hotel but it is absolutely worth it!

Hotel was hard to find. Google maps pin location is incorrect and takes you to the wrong location. When you do find it, it has good parking space. Hotel is up a ramp and steps with no elevators so lots of climbing. Front desk guy was not very welcoming. He didn't even offer to have someone take our bags up the stairs so we had to drag them ourselves. Room was decent. Had a great sea view. We had to leave at 5 am the next day and told the front desk guy. He did not warn us that there is no hot water at that time. I assume they turned off the hot water for the night. This is was ridiculous. We couldn't even shower before leaving because the water was too cold. Disappointing experience overall.

They need to improve the Wi-Fi , too slow and even our phones being from the US , it worked better than it . Location should be correcy d in Google , GPS always tell you to tahr some extra turns. After struggling up the access road with our luggage, Raphael great us and carried our bags up the long flight of stairs to our rooms. Check in process was very smooth and welcoming and included a description of the amenities and breakfast available. While the room was typically small and appeared to be in need of some updating, it was incredibly claim, comfortable and quite! Breakfast included a variety of sliced meats, cheeses, fruits, eggs, pastries, yogurt, olives and freshly made delicious bruschetta. But the best was the sfogliatelli! When I inquired at check-in if breakfast included this delicious little clam shell pastry, Raphael exclaimed - Yes! Mamma's!!
These were the best! Great experience great sleep and great breakfast! Thank you!

Great spot to go to Marina de Praia and the wonderful restaurants and beach there. It is a little difficult to get to the neighboring towns because the buses are full, but worth the effort. I would recommend taking water taxis wherever you want to go!! The hotel offered a nice breakfast every day and we were able to do laundry there, so that was nice! The terrace in our room was a fabulous place to drink our morning coffee and relax in the afternoon/evening before dinner.

Beware, the single rooms are so tiny and the shower even smaller at width of about 14 inches meaning you can’t really lift your arms or take a real or comfortable shower.

Also, the hotel seems to have limited connections to taxis and drivers if you need that.

There is no lift so stay away from the third floor rooms which is really like the fifth floor up.

After traveling from half way around the world for 30+hours to a country where we were not able to use the internet or phone till we could purchase or use local wifi....we arrived jet lagged, tired and hot, 1 day late due to travel problems. We were greeted with a surly \"You are lucky your room is still available\". This was a prepaid 1 week reservation. We were then given directions to a room with a single, shuttered window with almost no natural light. Thankfully, the room was clean and the A/C worked, but the hostile check in interaction put a damper on what should have been a fabulous week on the Amalfi Coast. Friends Staying at a nearby hotel, averaging about 40% less a night were greeted warmly and helped at every turn by the staff there. They were there, as we were for a wedding at a different hotel. Every time they needed assistance they were helped. So attentive were the staff at hotel Torre Saracena, that when the van to take us to the wedding venue did not appear on time, They called for another taxi service without our asking. The original taxi showed up at the same time, the staff handled the potentially difficult confrontation and arranged another fare for the driver. Now, I will always stay at Hotel Torre Saracena whenever I return to the Amalfi coast. I will never stay at (not) la Perla again.

Cool little hotel, the views from the dining area and especially from our room were excellent. The staff was very helpful. They negotiated a price with a taxi driver to pick us up, take us to Pompei, wait two hours (with our luggage) then take us to the train station in Naples. It wasn't much more than what I paid for a taxi from Naples airport to Praiano.

The hotel is a good quiet location and we had a parking space although there it’s limited and hard to manoeuvre in. There’s a steep ramp and a flight of steps to climb up before you reach the reception area and no lift.
The views from from the breakfast area and roof terrace are beautiful.
Our room was a good size with a balcony and air con which worked really well. WiFi signal was decent and rarely lost connection. One downside was the poor construction of the party walls which meant you could hear the sound coming from adjacent rooms. One morning I actually woke up to an iPhone alarm that was going off in the next room and it was so clear that I thought it was mine on low volume. I could hear toilets being flushed and guests taking showers. Not sure if all the rooms are like that but ours certainly was and can only imagine as the hotel is dated others must experience similar problems.
There was no kettle in the room nor iron available to use, we were only offered an ironing service which was chargeable per item of clothing. Breakfast was pretty basic too.

The Hotel is on a hill that requires some effort to climb to, then you have stairs at the hotel. For younger and fit persons this should not be to difficult, but for those with health conditions, mobility problems, I would not recommend this hotel.
I love the location and staff, we had a great room with a wonderful view, best of all Parking for our car.

La Perlamazing!

This place was Amazing! I would definitely stay there again we spent 4 magical nights there and chose Priano because it was affordable and it’s central location to Positano and Amalfi. The bus stops often and it’s only 3€ round trip to either. There is also a local but that will carry you around. We rented a scooter which the hotel arranged and went all the way to Maiori stopping everywhere along the way. The staff speaks English and were super helpful on any questions or concerns. After reading some reviews I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary but it ended up been one of the nicest hotels in our trip around Italy. The location is great, right next to the sita bus stop so there's no need of walking or climbing up the stairs. A few restaurants close by, il pirata being the best option. Close to the beach and a minimarket aswell.
Praiano town is just a 15 min walk where you will find more options to dine and shop.
Staff was on point, helped with everything we needed. Rooms are fully equiped w even a spa bathtub. Rooms are huge and the view from the balcony is incredible.
Large buffet breakfast over a terrace overlooking the amalfi coast. One of the highlights!

Boutique hotel expansive balcony views over Amalfi

A favourite stay toped only by hotel Fortuna in Hvar. Room is large well set out with balcony from which you have a complete uninterrupted view of A malfi coast and ocean and sun drenched. Down the stairs to the beach a number of great restaurants. Staff friendly and very helpfull they have free parking. The breakfast is wonderful which was a welcome change from usual Italian breakfast of cakes.

What an awesome GEM!

What a gem this place is. Excellent location. Great service, friendly people. I couldn't have been happier with this hotel and will definitely stay here again. I realize this is a 3 star hotel and not a 5 but it was excellent for the 3 stars and a budget. Vincenti, Adolfo and Rafael were wonderful to us. The cleaning lady was fast like lightning and did an excellent job. She had ESP when we left the room because we would come back from breakfast and everything was done! :)

Great hotel and staff. Conveniently located near the beach and bus stop. Rooms are clean and have the basic amenities. There is no elevator, and you will need to haul all by stairs, but that's the Amalfi Coast as a whole.

The only downside was the sounds proofing of the room ,we could here the next door guest while using the hair dryer as the bathroom window was located in the corridor!! Breakfast was OK, not the best selection for £160 per night, no menu on table so I did not know if we could get toast or eggs or any a la carte items.

Hotel with great views and easy Marina access

I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had an ocean view room with a balcony, and the room was clean and well maintained with a spectacular view from a very confortable balcony. We also enjoyed the location - it's in Praiano, which is a bit quieter than other parts of the Amalfi Coast, but still provides easy access to the bus and the Marina, both of which we used to access other cities along the coast. We also enjoyed checking out Praiano, which is quieter, more authentic and peaceful than some of the tourist trap towns along the Amalfi Coast. Additionally, the bustling Africana Night Club is basically just downstairs from the hotel, which makes nightlife super easy to access. The service was okay, and the breakfast was excellent. Overall, this place is a great deal for those who want to stay close to the key tourist attractions on the Amalfi Coast without breaking the bank and without all the hustle and bustle.

No elevator lots of stairs

The hotel staff was very obnoxious no hospitality at all... we had luggage and they did not offer to bring it up the long stairs. They don't have irons in the room and they will iron your clothes for you and hand it over the next day with a sneak attack charge during check out. No help at all with tourist questions. Anything you ask them they respond with \"impossible\". Not worth the stay even though it's cheap you want to be somewhere your comfortable. The beds are hard as a rock and there's no soap or shampoo.

Great holiday spot

La Perla is clean and staff are friendly...we stayed in the ocean view rooms and had 5 glorious days of the most breathtaking vistas as the hotel is across the road from the beach and up on a hill..great exercise going back n forth...the rooms are cleaned every day but the patio chairs were really uncomfortable. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to accomodate requests and offer advice...enjoyed staying there

View - the Amalfi coast I imagined

Great location. Away from the crowds but bus stop right outside door takes you to Amalfi or positano in 30 mins. Beach and restaurants just across the road. Steep 5 min walk downhill. Balcony great for relaxing with THAT view and catching some sun. Also has a roof top terrace. Simple room and hotel in great location with all you need

A Short Visit to the Amalfi Coast

We booked a couple of weeks in advance only. The booking process was easy and straight forward: in addition contacted the hotel in advance to inform them that one of us was gluten free receiving an immediate response back reassuring me that this was not a problem. I also was able to book a transfer direct from the airport to the hotel which also went off without a hitch. the journey to the hotel was entertaining and absorbing. The hotel is simply decorated but spotlessly clean. The maid service during the mornings was effective and unobtrusive. All the staff who worked in the hotel were pleasant and courteous. Gluten free bread and pasta had been bought in specially to supplement the GF toasts and biscuits. The food offered for breakfast and dinner was simple, well prepared and represented good value for money. The wine list, though short also was good and was excellent value. The view from the dining room balcony and our room balcony across the sea was stunning. Our room also had AC which we did not have to use but worked. The receptionists, who both spoke English, were able and willing to help with local knowledge and booking the one tour which we went on. Our visit was very enjoyable and we shall definitely return.

Very scenic and serene area. Unless you have an itinerary, you are left on your own. Felt isolated. On main road which is very busy with tourists, buses and motorcycles and scooters which made walking anywhere a challenge. Front desk staff didn't make us feel welcome, more like we were a bother. Would be better if someone was better at speaking English. Room was adequate but shower was smallest we've ever encountered and water went all over floor.... Hence the drain. Beautiful view from dining area but if you linger around too long, be prepared for a vacuum to be around your feet as they take their cleaning responsibilities very seriously. Which is a good thing, I guess. And, no elevator... Walking uphill. And upstairs also a challenge... Hence no room service. But we actually enjoyed our stay here, despite all of the negatives. Breakfast and dinner menu was fairly good. Waiter was the best of the staff.

Room with a View

La Perla is set up from the road and commands a beautiful view over the bay. It is not suitable for people with leg disabilities and there is no lift.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. The evening meals are inexpensive and very good. We would certainly stay here the next time we visit the Amalfi coast.

Good hotel in Praiano, right next to the bus stop

Hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the bus stop and 10 minutes walk down to the beach. The bus will take you to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. It takes on average 30 minutes to get to Positano. Note that there are several stops in Positano.
Single rooms have a twin bed that will only sleep 1 person.
Furniture in some rooms is dated.
There is enough parking on premises if you choose to rent a car.

Breathtaking views, super friendly staff

Excellent location (bus stop right outside the hotel, few steps from the beach) with lovely views of the Amalfi Coast. Staff was extremely helpful with any questions/requests we had such as organising transfers to/from Naples airport, giving us tips how to visit Capri, Pompei, Vesuvio and do other day trips on the Amalfi Coast. Positano and Amalfi are both only 20 minutes away by bus. Breakfast is simple but delicious. Our room was small but cosy and clean. Praiano is literally a hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast especially for people who'd like to escape the crowds. Has some good dining options too in the city centre, such as La Strada.

Hotel La Perla is a Little Gem

Fabulous hotel with beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it and eaten on the lovely terrace with magnificent views. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly, like home away from home. The rooms were kept so clean and were done by the time we has eaten breakfast. The beach is so handy and with a bus stop right at the hotel to take you anywhere else to shop. We walked to town everyday easily and there was a huge choice of restaurants all within a very pleasant walk or you could choose to eat at the hotel (which was delicious). Always lovely to come home after dinner out and have a night cap on the terrace. A really good experience

Room opened out onto communal rooftop terrace with stunning views of the coast. Room was basic and clean but a bit dated. Praiano is not a big town like Amalfi or Sorrento but has amazing restaurants off the surrounding cliffs. This place was perfect for chilling out and not being in the crazy tourist parts. Access to boat trips etc available and bus stop right at the door should you wish to explore further. Great restaurants and also beach access very close by. Smoke alarm was a bit annoying with the very bright flashing light going all night.

Lovely hotel on the Amalfi Coast

We stayed here for 5 days in a lovely room that had a balcony with an absolutely wonderful view of the coast. Our bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and a window with an amazing view.

Great location, easy to get about Amalfi Coast by bus, bus stop located nearby. Quiet location, not so touristy as Positano. Hotel located on the road with steps and path down to beach and steps beside hotel leading up to village of Praiano.

Not a 3* hotel

Hotel very tired, not in the best location, not even a shop nearby to buy water. Nearest restaurant a good walk and not recommended for the faint hearted. Got no sleep as room was too hot even with air conditioning on the highest, we dreaded the return to our room because of the heat so stayed out as long as we could. That said it's very cheap so as they say, you get what you pay for but lesson learnt for us is that we will pay a bit more and get
better comfort. No shower facility or room available if you need a late check out. Hotel is clean throughout.

Enjoyed this hotel it was reflective of its three stars you need a car but the parking here is good and hotel easy to find and access. There are a fair few steps but there is every where on the Amalfi Coast. We had a sea view with balcony....stunning to wake up to. Feel it's a fair price for this hotel.

Hotel La Perla

Excellent sized sea view room. Breakfast also included. The room was cleaned everyday and the management was extremely attentive. The hotel has a bus stop right outside and breathtaking views straight down the coast line. I am very well travelled and overall I thought this hotel was excellent value and would recommend it to friends and family.

Amalfi Coast gem!

Absolutely stunning sea-view from room! Quiet location but good place to explore from with bus stops just outside. Good big clean room, safe, mini-fridge, TV, plenty of storage space for clothes, comfortable bed and a big balcony with deck chairs... To look at THAT view! Friendly staff on the whole. Nice continental style breakfast. A very good three star hotel with a beach and some very good restaurants and a beach close by. Steep ramp and steps up to hotel but wasn't a problem for us. Loved our stay here! Would happily stay at La Perla again.

Fantastic view on the Amalfi Coast

This is a lovely hotel with really nice staff but take care if you have breathing or walking difficulties as its high up & quite a few steps with no lift. Would suit the younger traveller.
