Clean, easy access, big rooms and simplistic.

Modern hotel on the outskirts of Padova.

Staff were friendly and attentive, great simple breakfast (continental) and good coffee.

I was left to my own devices, as I like, but I'm sure if I asked for more there would be no issue.

I work away on average 10 nights a month, so this isn't just some random review. I get to sample a lot of hotels, in the UK and worldwide.

The hotel is functional and ideal for business trips or for travelers arriving in Padua by train or bus. Its proximity to the station makes both arrival and departure very convenient. The rooms are well soundproofed and equipped with all necessary amenities. The hotel’s restaurant is a good option for breakfast. The reception staff is highly efficient and professional.

During my visit, construction work was underway near Padua’s train station, specifically related to the Verona–Padua high-speed rail line, temporarily affected accessibility, making it slightly more difficult to reach the hotel on foot from the train station.

Great transport connections around the hotel to get in Padua with ease in about 15 minutes.

Bed was large and comfortable but the room was a bit shabby and dated. Hotel is described as 4* but very much isn't - I'd say it's a decent 3* in my view. Rooms in the apart hotel section are isolated from the main hotel and you're told nothing about access to facilities - feels like you're not properly connected to the main hotel or allowed to use it's facilities but it doesn't make this clear when booking.

the air conditioning did not cool, it was terrible hot inside the room; the best western name does not mean anything, the fact that the air does not cool is absolutely not acceptable , we travel far, drive all day, do not speak the language and we expect to be able to rest in a room from a reliable chain.

The staff was amazing, very helpful, and courteous. The room was very large, especially compared to Italian standards; the bathroom was clean and spacious. The only thing that negatively surprised us was the cleanliness of the saucers of the cups in the room, but it's a very minor thing—maybe they just forgot to check them while cleaning the room. Also, consider that the hotel is not in Padua city center, so you'll have to walk to get there.

Moldy soaker tub air jets

After 3 weeks of traveling Europe, we specifically booked a room with a soaker tub. Unfortunately the air jets for the tub were filthy with mold and made the tub unusable. The manager offered to move us to a better room with another tub, however the jets on that tub were also caked with mold. The manager offered us complimentary breakfast to offset the expense of the upgraded room which we couldn’t enjoy.

Only stayed a night, but the staff were super helpful, the room was big and quiet, and my wife says breakfast was really nice. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the center but it's a nice walk along the river and we knew that when we booked. Room was clean but the seals at bottom of the shower door were noticeably a bit grungy while sitting you know where - so only four stars. Good value, I'd stay again.

I stayed in the separate Aparthotel building at the side of the main hotel. It was access controlled so safe. The room was a studio apartment which was modern, clean and had good facilities including a small kitchen. It had a separate sofa and desk/work area so it was also comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The only slight downside to this hotel was the location. There were no local amenities close by. It was in a bit of an urban desert, almost like an industrial area. However, to be clear it wasn’t unsafe, just empty. It was on an easy bus route to the station though, and you could walk to the main sights in around 20 minutes.

Good hotel and well presented, useful location - stayed 4 nights and found the staff helpful and friendly - room was good but we were unable to get the aircon system to cool the room could not get temp to go below 22 just blew warm air despite resetting and adjusting controls it seemed to be disabled or the thermostat was not working so made sleeping at night uncomfortable

The property is not maintained. I was very depressed the entire time I was there. The lawn was not mowed and after a long day going back to the hotel, that was very depressing seeing that. Also, nothing much to the room and facility. Very basic!!

This was a great place to stay in Padova! Easy walking access to the city center and train station (about 20 minutes) and located along a really nice walking/pedestrian path. The breakfast in the morning was great (eggs, sausage, meats, cheese, salad, croissants and pastries, fresh juice, coffee) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

After 3 weeks in small historic hotels it was a delight to experience space and a very comfortable ambiance and room. Only one big safety concern: shower floor was dangerously slippery and a shower fall can ruin a vacation and more. Suggest to include shower mat or recover shower floor with a different material. Great front desk staff!!

Overall, a very good hotel; however, we were surrounded by loud partiers in rooms on either side of the thin walls and couldn't sleep for several early-morning hours. The room carpeting could use a good cleaning (significant stains). Air conditioning and bathroom were good, as was the breakfast buffet.

This is an inexpensive and out-of-the way apartment. The gym is thinly equipped with strange machines to use and only a random collection of light dumbells. There seems little capacity or willingness to fix things. I reported a recurrent noise in the room next to mine that woke me up repeatedly in the early hours of the night and yet nothing was ever done. All I was offered was to move which might have solved the waking up issue but makes me have to do all the work. The pool (etc) that are in the pictures are something of false advertising unless you read the fine print that says you have to pay per day! The restaurant that is supposedly part of the hotel is not attached and is not open in irregular hours. The bar is nice enough and has bar food only. The staff was nice but not overly helpful or anything like that. I chose to stay here for my work at the university next door, but if I did not have such work I would have stayed closer to the Via Roma or somewhere like that. The walk to the center or the action is at least 20 minutes and as much as 45 and given Italy's hostile relationship with Uber and other rideshare services, this is not the hotel for tourism.

Room with out shower!

The hotel itself isn't that bad but iff they charge for using the pool and than find it used by an outside club doesn't make a very good impression at least you expect a discount. Also the shower wasn't working so I paid for a room with out shower for two days even I reported it. When I mentioned it by checking out and ask for some discount all he could tell me is
I should write it in the review it will help THEM.
I think that was the last time I've stayed in that hotel.

We stayed in an apartment - all cups, glasses etc. had been removed. The shower was poor and ran very hot then cold. We were unable to access the swimming pool. It closed at 6pm and we were also told if we wanted to use it we would have to pay 15 Euro each.

No coffee making facilities but the helpful front desk did provide on request.

The Hills on a week’s break from home.

A very comfortable studio room. However the hotel is close to the university and more suited for business. Approximately 2 Kms from the city centre. No nearby places to dine. The hotel charges €15 for the use of the pool. The breakfast is quite varied. Some of the front desk personnel were more amenable and helpful than others. A mall with supermarket is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The studio apartment had no utensils available making the facilities Useless. 10 minute walk from the train station. No effective air conditioning. No in room tea or coffee making facilities but the hotel did provide these (plus a kettle) after a request. An excellent hotel if on university business.

I initially thought I made a huge mistake by not staying in Venice proper... however, this place is absolutely amazing! Majority of the staff speaks fluent English and are extremely helpful! The facilities are amazing and spacious. My apartment had a dishwasher, fridge, stove top, and body wash was included.

This hotel has a very good location. It is modern and comfortable. For some reason to me unknown,however, our room appeared to be not completely equipped. There was a kitchenette, but not any utensils related to it (not a dish, a cup, a glass, a piece of silverware, etc,).
In the bathroom, not a tissue box.

We made 2 reservations for consecutive days through different portals weeks apart. Before our arrival Mr. Fabio at the front desk had already realized that we would want to stay in the same room. So check in for the \"separate rooms\" went flawlessly and Mr. Fabio made sure we stayed in the same room. Cannot say enough about the staff.

Staff was generally unfriendly. They need training in people skills. There were scuffs on the walls that should have been cleaned off. There was a power problem on the first night which staff would not resolve until next morning. Hotel is remote from city, 20 minute walk to train station. I would not recommend this hotel.

Modern and clean hotel in Padova

Bedroom and bathroom were both a good size. Very large beds! but I found it a bit hard. Good air-con (needed mid-September as it was very warm). Cleaned thoroughly every day. Had a room on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel and not bothered by external noise.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to use the spa, but the bar area was nice. About 15-20 minute walk to Padova train and bus station, but regular buses to and from there.
I would recommend this and use again if required.

Our room was a good-sized studio with kitchenette; however, cooking and dining utensils require an extra payment. Use of pool and spa are also extra. While the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable, the room was showing some wear and tear: walls with scuff marks need painting, a hole in the bathroom door, leaky shower spray, worn sofa and curtains. Best things about the hotel: knowledgable, friendly staff; the buffet breakfasts (extra 4 euros per person per day worth it!); nice bar; convenient location; free parking. Even though the hotel is not in the old part of Padua, it is a pleasant 20-minute walk along the river to the Scrovegni Chapel or an easy bus ride from very near the hotel takes you to and from the center of Padua and the main train station. We would definitely stay again.

Good and bad in Padova Galileo Hotel

This hotel comes with some good and bad points. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the hotel is fairly clean and my room (I booked the Comfort Room) was of good size and well furnished. Rooms to the Via Venezia front are very noisy but my room to the river side was quiet enough. The restaurant offers poor quality food at high prices and has no atmosphere. The breakfast (not expensive at € 4.00) is buffet style but most offerings are a tad on the cheap side, such as canned fruit, watery juices, anaemic sausages etc.. While many hotels charge as much as € 17 for a buffet b/fast, this one could charge € 8 and supply fresher and tastier food. As a Premium client, they asked an additional € 15 to use the Spa / Pool. I thought this very stingy. A 1 ltr bottle of water was € 8, a total rip off. This is why I rate this hotel \"average\".

Pool charge? Huh?!

Room with kitchenette, but no plates, silverware or pans rendering it useless. Previous guests had smeared their nose pickings all over the walls. Faux wood floor was coming apart. Mattress was cheap and pillows flat. Advertise indoor pool then hit you with a surprise 15 euro per person price tag and very limited hours of operation which is totally unacceptable when charging for it! Breakfast was lackluster and not stocked for later hours, so get there early. Staff was pleasant, but price does not reflect room quality. It gets the job done with no frills.
