Great pool and landscape.

The hotel has a good pool, very nice restaurant and amazing staff. The staff at the front desk, Betty and Silvia, helped us throughout our stay with directions to some of the best beaches and activities to do in nearby Alghero old town. We had the perfect stay.

Good for one or two night stop over

We wanted somewhere handy for Alghero airport at the end of our holiday, and in that respect it suited us. Our room, a superior double, was meticulously clean but featureless. This staff were all great, particularly a gentleman on reception who was extremely helpful when we had a medical emergency. Some of the reviews described it as a boutique hotel. I would agree that it's small but definitely not what I would think of as 'boutique'.

Like a great African game lodge

Sa Cheya is one of those magical small hotels that you only occasionally find. As very frequent travellers we were looking for something different on the north-western corner of Sardinia - and we struck lucky. We planned most of this part of the trip around this hotel and had spent the first couple of nights in a lovely hotel in Alghero itself. Sa Cheya was then only a 10 minute 4.5 km drive out of town and into stunning countryside. It is easy to find and signposted from the main road to Olmeda.

The first impression on driving through the gates is of a number of beautiful small buildings spread over an area with gardens, grass, shrubs and tennis courts. The main building contains the reception area and the spacious breakfast room and has a number of the bedrooms as well. The colours are stunning lit by the July sun and everything blended in with its surroundings. There are only 20 rooms in total and we had a room in the nicer separate building. All rooms are named after flowers and we had girasole.

There is a magnificent pool with lots of sun beds and a little bar with an excellent barman who made the most amazing cocktails. There is a new building - almost finished - which will be the new spa - it should be wonderful. The whole place has a very relaxed and warm feel - the perfect place to spend a few days and chill. We had only been able to book 4 nights but after the first couple of days we got a cancellation for one more night. Great place, superb staff and food.

Very welcoming and friendly staff who managed to remember our names throughout our stay despite only a 2-night visit. We enjoyed it immensely. Lovely balcony, grounds and swimming pool. Requires a taxi to get in and out of Alghero but this was easily arranged. We would really hope to come back some time.

An amazingly warm welcome from Fernando on reception set the tone for our 7 night stay at the Hotel Sa Cheya. This hotel is great. We had a lovely big room with a large balcony, we found the beds to be very comfortable and the fridge/mini bar was very handy.
The breakfast was lovely and the breakfast staff were a delight.
We stayed mid May and although the pool was a little chilly, I braved it and it was lovely.
Cannot recommend this hotel and it's superb staff highly enough.

Great hotel

Had a very nice 4-day stay at Relais Hotel Sa Cheya in April. Hotel is lovely, staff very friendly, breakfast was very good. The pool was quite cold at that time of year but the kids didn't mind too much! Given the hotel location you really need a car to get out and about (or be prepared for lots of taxi fares). Would definitely return to this hotel if we ever went back to Alghero.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Hotel is not far from Alghero. Views out over the fields to the mountains are lovely. (It is not on top of a beach though if that's what you're after).
Nice large pool with good sun loungers etc. Room was very nice & clean.
The hotel staff very friendly, very helpful and made the stay all that more enjoyable. All speaking good English.
The on site restaurant is good; nice food, attentive service and well priced.

Unfortunately, our room was one of about 3 with a poor view - just of the carpark & didn't receive any sun. Avoid room 4 ;)

location, location, location.

We Booked this hotel for it's size ( 20rooms ) and location surrounded by countryside,
We had hoped for a quiet, relaxing stay and this was achieved in leaps and bounds,
Although fully booked the hotel never seemed busy and a sense of calm remained everywhere.
The staff were all extremely helpful and cheerful throughout our 12 day stay.
Our room was spotlessly clean and towels were changed every day.
Everything was as we had hoped and perhaps even better !
As a result we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and would happily recommend the hotel to other visitors.

Very Nice Hotel, That Should Fix Their WiFi.

Two night stay in Room 2. Hotel was nice and comfortable. Great pool. There is a big difference in the views of each room. Our was OK, others were much nicer and a few were worse. There is no difference in room descriptions/levels that I could discern. WiFi was the absolute worst we had in a month of traveling in Italy. No problem connecting with their local network but clearly there are problems with the quality and speed of the line.

Excellent clean hotel with friendly helpful staff in beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The drive down to town is easy along a straight road with a car park at the end on the seafront. Our room was lovely with a balcony surrounded by hills and olive groves.
Spent 10 days there and would have loved to stay longer. We hired a car which is an advantage for this hotel and it was only 5 minute drive down to the front. Had no difficulties in finding hotel. It is the first turn right after you pass a layby just as there is slight turn in the road.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast staff very cheerful especially if you try a little Italian.

Ideal Location!

We stayed here as a couple in mid July for a couple of nights before catching the flight home from Alghero Airport. For this reason, we found the location to be ideal. A little bit out of town adjacent to a fairly busy but generally unobtrusive, main road.

The hotel is fairly new and quite attractive. Staff are friendly and most speak excellent English (and Spanish!).

The room that we were given however, was not the best. We were on the ground floor facing the small hotel car park which was surprisingly busy early evening and meant that sitting outside on the small terrace, customers were often passing by (and sometimes through) your terrace! The room was nice although smaller than most other rooms and is probably only used as a last resort when the hotel is fully booked (Room 4).

The breakfast room is quite small and personal with a few outside tables on a front and rear terrace. The food was always fresh and nicely presented and offered a good choice. Staff at breakfast were also very friendly and could not do enough to ensure that you had a pleasant stay.

We would definitely return here again but would ensure we had a room overlooking the gardens next time!

Could be an amazing hotel

We stayed at Hotel Sa Cheya on its opening weekend which happened to be Easter weekend. We couldn't believe how cheap the price was on hotels.com and when we arrived the place was exactly how it looks in the photos, just lovely. It's a very short drive from the town centre to so very convenient. However we soon noticed that the rooms were incredibly cold and the heating was not working properly. In addition the water temperature was luke-warm at best. After the first night we mentioned the problems to the front desk and they explained it was all connected, they were having problems, having had just opened. We weren't too concerned until the second morning. My friend was leaving and had requested a wake-up call as with the daylight savings changes and lack of cell phone reception she wanted to make sure she woke up in time for her flight. The call never came which I find unacceptable. In addition there was now no hot water at all - the shower was freezing. On the last day the heaters in the room started working but the water temperature was only back to luke-warm. As we paid such a low price for the stay I have given an average rating but if we had paid more standard rates for the area it would have been unsatisfactory rating. I asked to speak to the manager but was told he wasn't available and the staff didn't seem to care about the problems we had had to put up with. Would not stay here again unless I was assured the problems had been fixed.

The hotel consists of 20 rooms and is situated 5km (15 euros each way ) from alghero. Its isolated And reminded me of a premier travel inn. There is an outside pool and restaurant which is small and mainly for the breakfasts. It also doubled up as the bar.
The hotel opened 3 days prior to our arrival, staff were excellent, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The customer care deserves recognition. The rooms are good for an overnight stay but I wouldn't stay more than a couple of nights. No kettle in room. Only shower no bath. Our safe had no battery, heating didn't work but these are teething troubles associated with a new hotel.
The breakfast included was good and they had gone to a lot of effort. Proper coffee from a machine And excellent quality. They deserve 10/10 for effort.

Superbe hôtel, dans un jardin/parc magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien agencées. Le restaurant propose des plats raffinés et de très bonne qualité. Une grande piscine avec des transats et parasols en suffisance. L'environnement autour de la piscine est spacieux et très fleuri. Alors que dire du personnel: EXCEPTIONNEL, tant à la réception que les femmes de ménage, le personnel du restaurant toutes souriantes et avenantes. ET mention spéciale pour Dina qui est plus que gentille, souriante, qui aime plaisanter et mets le client tout a fait à l'aise. Nous lui souhaitons sincèrement tout le bonheur possible et la remercions encore infiniment pour sa bonne humeur. Seul inconvénient, mais c'est le prix à payer si l'on veut profiter d'une telle infrastructure, dans un endroit calme et reposant, c'est qu'il faut prendre la voiture pour se rendre à la superbe ville d'Alghero qui ne se trouve qu'a +/-5 kms de l'hôtel. Si vous cherchez un bel hôtel bien agencé, dans un endroit calme, reposant, avec du personnel plaisant et discret, n'hésitez pas vous êtes à la bonne adresse.

Gute Lage ca 3 km von Alghero entfernt (Stadt nur mit Auto erreichbar). Relativ neue Anlage mit großer Pool-Landschaft und großzügigen Grünflächen. Apartment zum Pool hin, leider dadurch etwas weniger Privatsphäre auf der Terrasse. Sehr saubere Zimmer.
Kein gemeinschaftlicher Bereich, also entweder Aufenthalt im Zimmer oder außerhalb der Anlage.
Frühstücksraum hat „Kantinen“Charakter, nur 2 Tische außen in der Morgensonne. Frühstück ok, weniger Abwechslung, wenig Obst. Nicht wirklich 4-Stern!

3 Sterne Hotel, bestimmt kein 4 Sterne Haus, das sich auf einem Feld weit weg von allem befindet.
Das Restaurant das zum Hotel gehört, ist eine gute Pizzeria. Die Weine auf der Karte waren größtenteils nicht verfügbar.
Das WLAN funktioniert kaum.
Es zieht fürchterlich durch die Hütte unter den Eingangstüre.
Das Hotel hat ohne meine Zustimmung und ohne Vorabinformation den Gesamtbetrag für 4 Übernachtungen auf meiner Kreditkarte blockiert und das noch innerhalb der Stornofrist.
Lage: direkt an einer sehr befahrenen und lauter Straße.
Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich.

L'hotel è molto ben curato e pulito. Il personale cordiale e preparato. Anche se si trova un po fuori Alghero ( 4 Km ), la grande piscina a sfioro e il ristorante Villasole presenti nell'hotel, rendono il soggiorno comodo anche per chi non ama spostarsi molto con la macchina. La qualità del cibo e del servizio del ristorante Villasole è ottima.

Wir buchten 2 Übernachtungen im Sa Cheya auf unserer Sardinienreise. Sehr gepflegte, schöne Anlage mit grossem Pool. Freundliche Betreuung während des Aufenthalts. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Saubere, gepflegte Zimmer mit Balkon. Hotel liegt abseits, etwa 5 km von schönen Alghero entfernt. Nachts durch fehlende Kennzeichnung auch mit Navi etwas schwierig zu finden. Parkplätze gleich neben dem Hauptgebäude. Das Restaurant (vorderer Bereich der Anlage) ist empfehlenswert. Reservation empfehlenswert, da sehr gut besucht.

Wir wurden im Sa Cheya mit den Worten \" dieses Haus ist ihr Haus\" begrüßt. Genauso fühlten wir uns, willkommen, bestens versorgt, nichts war unmöglich, alles organisierbar. In einem schönen, großzügigen Zimmer konnten wir uns nach unseren Ausflügen, in die herrliche Umgebung, bestens entspannen. Es war tatsächlich wie \"nach Hause\" kommen und jedes Mal hat uns der Blick von unserer großen Terasse wieder begeistert.
Eine wunderschöne Anlage mit sehr netten Menschen und ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen im Nordwesten Sardiniens!

hübsches Gartenhotel aufs Land

Wir erhielten guten Tipps zum Ausflüge und Essen. Für den Strandtag hatte wir sogar einen Sonnenschirm vom Hotel kostenlose angeboten bekommen. Hierfür vielen Dank an Fernando!!

Man muss eine kurze Fahrt unternehmen um in die Stadt zu kommen. Leider hört man viel Straßenlärm und es gibt viele kleine Armeisen im Bad, weil das Hotel idyllisch aufs Land liegt.
Bessere Beleuchtung und Wegweiser wäre sehr hilfreich: abends im Dunkeln hatten wir Schwierigkeiten die Richtige Einfahrt zu finden.

Gute Lage für Ausflüge

Sehr komfortables Hotel nahe Alghero. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Leider derzeit etwas Baulärm.

Très bel hôtel et magnifique piscine

Les plus :
. Bel hôtel.
. Chambre spacieuse et moderne.
. Bon accueil et en français.
. Petit déjeuner copieux avec des serveuses très aimables qui essaient d'apprendre toutes les langues !
. Magnifique piscine.
. Parking adapté.
. Proche d'Alghero (il faut quand même une voiture).

Les moins :
. Le Wifi n'est pas du tout fonctionnel que ce soit depuis la chambre ou à l'accueil.
. Le long d'une route circulante. En revanche, très bonne insonorisation des chambres.

Schönes Hotel für ein paar Tage

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und hat einen Pool.
Das Personal ist mega freundlich! Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und ein guter Start in den Tag. Es liegt an einer befahrenen Straße, die man auch hört. Die Fenster im Zimmer sind allerdings gut isoliert. Wlan ist echt schlecht, wie generell der Empfang auf der Insel.

Super rapport qualité / prix , à conseiller !

Séjour très agréable avec un personnel très à l'écoute et chaleureux. Les 2 mascottes de l'établissement, le chat et la visite du renard qui s'invite le soir, génial !

Tolles Hotel im Resort-Stil vor den Toren Algheros

Wir haben die beiden Nächte in diesem Hotel sehr genossen.
Nach einem freundlichen Empfang wurden wir zu unserem Zimmer (upgrade) begleitet: Großes Zimmer, großes Badezimmer, großer Balkon mit Blick ins Hinterland. Sehr gute Internetverbindung. Wie - fast - überalle auf Sardinien war auch hier nur der Emfpang von italienischen Fernsehprogrammen möglich.

Mit dem Mietwagen oder den Leihfahrrädern kann man die tolle Altstadt von Alghero, die wunderschönen Stränder der Umgebung oder das Hinterland erkunden.

Auf dem parkähnlichen Gelände gibt es ein eigenes Restaurant, welches aber während unseres Aufenthaltes (April) nur am Wochenende geöffnet hat. Durch die Lage außerhalb der Stadt, muss man zum Abendessen nach Alghero fahren.

Da die Ausschilderung auf der Landstraße schlecht erkennbar ist, haben wir das Hotel nicht auf Anhieb gefunden.
