Standard hotel in a resource town. It was clean, conveniently located, and had availability. It's obviously seen a lot of use, but there was fresh paint (although it looks like they mopped it on), the linens/towels were clean, and check in/out was seamless. I would stay here again.

We checked in late (10:30 pm). When we opened the door to the room, the smell of cleaning chemical was so strong that the three of us had trouble breathing. We all have asthma and had to take our inhalers within a few minutes of entering the room. It was so late, though, that we decided to suck it up. Our son fell asleep right away, so we didn’t want to wake him to move rooms. We were exhausted from travelling for 14 hours that day and just wanted to sleep.

My husband and I couldn’t easily lock or unlock the deadbolt. We left it unlocked, as it was more of a fire hazard than a safety feature.

The lamp’s electrical outlet was so loose that nothing could effectively be plugged into it. We unplugged the lamp but the wall socket had no power. The lamp’s electrical outlet apparently had a switch by the door, which we didn’t see until the next morning. Maintenance didn’t know about the switch for the lamp, so we were under the impression the socket didn’t work at all. A note near the lamp would have been helpful. Anyone I’ve spoken to has said they wouldn’t look for a light switch near the door to operate a lamp.

The ac said the room was 65 but we were all sweating. When maintenance came to our room at midnight, we had just gotten the ac to come on and stay on.

When checking out, I brought these concerns up. The lady at the front desk said she would speak to her manager about a discount, but I never did hear from anyone, and was charged the full amount of our stay.

The room was roomy and clean. The lobby had a coffee spill on the tile that was not mopped up all day and the water / juice / coffee area was always messy. The gym was bare bones but adequate and the sauna was a nice touch. Breakfast was typical. The location was great and easy to find. Staff was friendly.

I booked a room to accommodate my pet. I was unaware of a surcharge that was required above the price quoted. This bothers me as I booked a 'pet' room. I assumed all costs were included in the price.
The air conditioner was a window unit that was very noisy and made it hard to sleep.
I found the mattress to be too firm but that is I guess personal preference.
The WiFi was not pass word protected as a result I could not use my computer.
The outside of the property was really dirty. I parked towards the back so that my pet would not be disruptive. However there was garbage all over. There is also a lounge right next to the property and many of the patrons of the lounge were hanging around the parking.

Overall ok stay but there were people partying the room above me at 2am. I called the front desk and there was no relief from the noise for at least an hour.

There was a guest laundry which was helpful to have on site.

The room was spacious and comfortable.

The room smelled strongly of old cigarette smoke. The bed was not comfortable, and the door would trigger an alarm if it was not fully closed. I could constantly hear noise from the next room, as well as footsteps from the floor above.
The gym is very small, so it is not ideal for working out.
The breakfast was quite good.

Overall a very good place for the money.
The AC unit in our room, when set to auto, ran continually thru the night, so that was a bit of an annoyance.
At breakfast, they ran out of omelletes at 9 am... 30 minutes before breakfast was over. No muffins even offered. So, for brekkie I'd rate it a B- to a C +.
Otherwise, we're happy with the choice to stay there.

It too bad the hotel has made the whole ground floor into a dog kennel and there is a shortage of rooms for people who don’t want to sleep in one. Put the dogs upstairs out of the way and don’t inconvenience all the other people.

Room was clean and spacious but very hot and we had to open the window to cool it down.
No kettle in the room for tea only coffee available but hot water available from the breakfast room which had to be carried in the lift up to the room.
Korean restaurant adjacent had good meal choices.
Breakfast offered a range of hot and cold dishes, but if you are trying to be more ‘green’, please get rid of the plastic knives and forks (the knives wouldn’t even cut through the omelette) and paper cups and plates?! Why, all the waste was put in together, no recycling at all!
No, please use proper crockery, sort the waste and wash the dishes

I love that it is a pet friendly hotel, and I was able to book a room on short notice as we were tired of traveling for the day. It was a lovely large and very clean room. The only trouble I had was not being able to figure out the tv remotes, but that isn’t very important, in my opinion, so I didn’t even bother to call front desk for help. There is a great Korean food restaurant on site which appeased our appetite. The next morning, we were very impressed with the continental breakfast that was offered. It set us up well for our final day of travelling.

I absolutely love this hotel. The staff were so attentive and friendly. They allow me to check-in early without paying additional fee. The place was so clean, pristine. I think they recently renovated the hotel, because everything look brand new, so well maintained. There is unlimited water, coffee and juice at the lobby. The best part is the breakfast. It is so delicious, so many choices, so complete, plenty of food. Even though is by the highway, the rooms are so well insulated that you can’t hear any noise. I highly recommend this place.

It’s clear that Expedia / Hotels.com customers are a low priority. Despite repeated requests to the receptionist for a quiet room after 12 days on the road I got the noisiest room next to the elevator on the 2nd floor. Worst sleep in 2 weeks. Noisy all night long.

This place caters to Asian bus tours and East Indians and gives priority to giving them the best service. SimpleDiscrimination.

Even after complaining to reception about all the noise no compensation offered. This is my third and final time staying here. Lots of better places in Hinton Ab.

Disappointed in the cleanliness of the room, there was only 2 pillows on a king size bed, and the air conditioning was not working properly. It was so loud when the air conditioning did kick in and the noise from the highway I would never stay here again. The hotel website says if you find a price online that’s cheaper they’ll give a further discount, Expedia was cheaper and they didn’t honor that so we booked through Expedia. We booked the room to enjoy the jacuzzi but due to the poor cleanliness of the room we didn’t chance going in it. Disappointing to say the least for almost $300 for the night.

Room was clean, but very stuffy and window didn't open. Seems people with pets get the worst rooms despite paying the same price plus extra per pet.

The staff was very friendly, breakfast was decent, parking was good. The cleanliness of our room could have been MUCH better…there was glitter all over the floor by the entry door into the room, there was hair all over the bottom of the jacuzzi tub(we used Lysol wipes we had with us and cleaned it out ourselves) we also found a couple hairs on the fitted sheet(one short and one super long) I should have called down to the desk instead of cleaning up myself but by the time we got fully settled into our room we were tired and just decided to deal with it. We also asked someone at the front desk to help us with the tv in the living room as it wasn’t working and he wasn’t able to do it himself and said he’d send maintenance up to fix it but no one ended up coming up.

The rooms were very clean and up to date. View out back of the hotel from our window was looking into wrecked cars. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was ok. Your regular hotel breakfast. The fellow looking after it was very friendly. Easy access to hotel right on the main highway to and from jasper.

The front desk clerk went beyond her job to help us out with a little problem we encountered and we were most appreciative of that. The tub is quite high so I would like to see some support bar to hang onto getting in and out. The breakfast was nice but the room was too small to accommodate all the guests and very crowded. Parking was alright but very full. Room was very clean and well maintained.

It was a clean hotel and close to lots of things. The pub next door is awesome. Great karaoke, but did not win at the vlt. Would’ve been a better stay if the hotel would have refunded me my losses at the VLT’s.

Overall great, if you have the drink voucher, Mae sure you ask the check in stuff, the person who helped me took the voucher off my checking in paper and put it aside, and in the end I have to make my way to ask about giving those vouchers to me…I want to believe it was a mistake but it seems on purpose.

Property was good value for money; staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. Perks included a good breakfast, and excellent Starbucks Coffee (don't ever change this). Gym was missing some accessories - it would be a good idea to purchase a few sorely needed pieces for the machines to make them more functional. Overall, quite satisfied with our experience.
