Clean room.
Bathroom - clean
Beds - unfortunately, not comfortable. Possibly, a very soft spring mattress ruining the stay.
Parking - available.
Breakfast- unfortunately, not good at all. Limited options, but 7am-9am makes it too tight. A lot of guests, in short time leads to chaos. Not good experience at all.

Would prefer to stay somewhere else by paying a bit more.

Expensive given the quality and age of the property. They take a $100 deposit in case you damage or take something, which I resent, and then it takes 5 days to be credited back. The free breakfast was really low-end.

Rooms were of great value, but the exterior was not that attractive. Our AC was not working on room 106, so the lady at the reception switched us to 101.

The Good: very friendly and helpful receptionist - Catherine and other room service staff, spacious and very clean, newly renovated rooms and clean bed/linen. Good price, decent breakfast spread.

The Bad: the bathtub was choked and they didn't have maintenance person till 8:30 am to fix it, despite telling them I had to take shower and check-out soon, the available staff didn't bother getting a plunger and doing it themselves, and they didn't have any spare room which they could swap me in or let me use the bathroom - they offered employee washroom! While I understand given the remote location maintenance staff is not available on call, but I would have expected better emergency handling than this by having a spare room or existing staff helping.
Also the location is too far, takes 1hr / 80km one way drive to Jasper town, not worth wasting vacation time and fuel to save on Hotel. Next time I would rather book a hotel in Jasper.

The breakfast was absolutely terrible. The dining area is already far too small for the number of rooms and guests the hotel accommodates, making the experience even less enjoyable.

I stayed there for two nights and didn’t eat a single thing from the breakfast buffet. My partner tried to have breakfast on the first morning, but it was so bad that he refused to give it another chance the next day. Both the presentation and the taste were extremely disappointing. Without a doubt, this was one of the worst hotel breakfasts we have ever experienced.

I’ll spare the details about the rest of the experience. cleanliness, the unbearable heat in the rooms, and so on. Otherwise, this review would end up being several pages long.

During our stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Hinton, we had originally booked for two days. After the first day, we had to cancel the remainder of our trip due to a family situation. We requested a refund for the unused night, and the manager was very understanding and kindly processed the refund. The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. We greatly appreciated their compassion and excellent customer service during a difficult time. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was a non smoking room, but had a chair and ashtray outside the door. it seemed everyone smokes outside their room? Including a little wacky tobacky. The continental breakfast was a real let down. No fruit, no juice of any kind, just coffee and tea and water. No muffins, yogurt, granola bars and my biggest peave, hard boiled eggs! We just spent 8 days in Kelowna and I guess we were spolied because they had everything. The lady at check in said just leave your room keys in your room and leave. Then we got an email asking us to check out online. After we have been driving and had no service. So we filled it out once we arrived in Grande Cache and had service.

The staff were never at the front desk whenever we tried going there. We had to wait at the desk for at least 5 minutes just to check it! The shower head was useless - needs replacing right away! Fridge made loud noises, which I had to prop it up weird to stop that. But it eventually started making the noises again. Had to straddle/hover over the toilet just to close the bathroom door. Won't stay here again.

The woman who checked me in was pleasant and the room was clean and nice. The woman who checked me out in the morning on the other hand: completely rude and unprofessional. She was also the one who put the breakfast out and at 8:30 (it’s from 8:00am-9:00am) myself and my son, and another French couple came to eat and they had a couple sausages, completely watered down coffee and a completely empty water cooler. There was barely any milk for my sons cereal and I ended up giving the sausage to the French couple that I had grabbed for us because there was a boiled egg and three sausages left after they came in (there were 5 to begin with I took one for each of us) so I offered it to them.
Over all wasn’t an awful stay but that woman in the morning needs a serious chat from management about how she behaves when on shift alone.
