Staff was helpful and friendly. There is no continental breakfast which is a downside because there are not a lot of easy breakfast options nearby. Views from our room were lovely and the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I would stay here again.

The room was very clean. Amazing view of the lake. The bed was actually comfortable (I never think hotel beds are). Great area. We ate at the restaurant next door and then walked downtown for drinks… great area. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5 was because the family in the next room was very loud, kind of not the hotels fault, but still.

Nice room, comfy bed, great reception and check-in, good location, reasonably priced. Bar in the lobby is limited, as is food in the hotel lobby restaurant. The restaurant next door is nice but has Downtown Chicago pricing with OK food and drinks (you pay for the location). Parking lot is clean and safe. There is a "stargate" across the street :)

I love this hotel. I’ve stayed here 2 times now and will definitely come back. The only thing or really I have 2 complaints, one is the shower pressure. It sucks! And the second thing is, for the price of the hotel, there should be breakfast accommodations but there isn’t. Maybe you should consider it?

For the money, this should have been so much better. Started bad when I walked in and was in the lobby alone with zero ackowledgment from the person there. Finally went to the counter of zero personality where annoyance seemed to be plentiful.
The room was fine but all the decor was old and outdated. The bed gets a 1/10. Everything about the bed was worn to unusability. The view out of the window was of 2 industrial areas, a couple of parking lots, and some water in the distance. Then you wake up are creeky and sore from the terrible mattress and go downstairs to get charged $10 for 2 cups of coffee. I paid too much for these accommodations to have to pay for mediocre coffee from a place trying to be something that it just isn’t.
Be better off next time in a chain hotel. At least when they overcharge you, free coffee and breakfast is included.

Clean comfortable room with two restaurant choices, one in the hotel and another just outside called the Boathouse. The Boathouse was a great place to have dinner and drinks. The hotel also has a nice pool and hot tubs, as well as a store to get any forgotten necessities. Rooms are good size but they need some updating.

Always stay here when in Muskegon. Friendly & helpful staff, views of Muskegon Lake & Marina, Lake House Restaurant just steps away. Downtown Muskegon, with restaurants & bars nearby. Not much shopping available. Grand Haven has more shops & boutiques, but it’s close enough for an afternoon of shopping.

well it's never fun to show up and find out that the indoor pool and hot tubs are not available. I never would have reserved the room knowing this information. The Lady at the desk did not have a great attitude either. While alternatives for pool existed, not the case with the hot tub which is what we were looking forward to using. The place overall looks aged but we were ok with it.

Our stay at the Shoreline Hotel was disappointing from start to finish. For $400 a night, I expected at least a comfortable and reliable experience, but what we encountered was far from it.

The bathroom had visible mold in the corners, and the wallpaper was peeling in several spots, giving the entire room a neglected feel. Walking through the dimly lit hallways, with their dated fixtures and tired décor, made me joke with my wife that we’d checked into the “Tower of Terror” from Disney—only without the fun ride at the end.

Breakfast service was very limited, and even the basics felt poorly handled. The condiments for the in-room coffee were already opened and sitting in a cabinet, which did not inspire confidence in cleanliness.

Location-wise, this hotel is not well-supported: Uber is nearly nonexistent in the area, there’s no reliable public transportation, and getting around without your own car is extremely difficult.

For the premium price point, there was no significant benefit to justify the cost. Overall, this was a poor experience—one I wouldn’t recommend to anyone visiting Muskegon.

Fun times in Muskegon

Overall the hotel is slightly dated, but overall nice property. Rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable. The onsite restaurant was very good and bar and separate snack area were well stocked with options. Our room overlooked the water and was beautiful in the morning/evening. The fan in the bathroom wasn't working. But everyone was very friendly and responsive. 1 of the 2 Jacuzzi's was closed for maintenance. The outside pool was awesome.

The bistro and restaurant are awesome - love the hours for the bistro, too!
Ice cream in the gift shop is the best!

The views were beautiful however, our room was super hot, even with the “ac” going. I felt the rooms were very outdated for the nightly price, and the floor in our room was filthy. The staff were great though and the rest of the hotel looked rather clean as well.

The only thing is there is not much to do (walking) in the area.
The downtown shopping was really minimal.
We booked this property because it was within walking distance to the downtown.
But again there was not much there.
The grounds around the hotel is nice and they had a nice restaurant on the grounds (Lake House).
The room was small but had everything we needed and was clean.

The food at the restaurant was wonderful. The service was abominable. We waited at least 15 minutes for a server, then a half hour for our drinks. Our food was served and was cold before the wine was served.

Our hotel room was fine, but a little dirty. (Hairs and spiders in the bathroom.)

For the price, this was not an ideal experience.

The property is unique and charming. We absolutely loved our waterfront view and access to the Lake House restaurant next door. The only disappointment was the hotel Bistro. We hoped for a welcoming comfy vibe but it just felt small and a little neglected. This led me to knock the rating from 5 to 4 as the advertised space is misleading. All in all we loved our vacation and recommend a stay at Shoreline. We don’t have kids or animals but it appeared the pools and grounds would be excellent for both.

We liked that it was close to the Marina and the Express Ferry to Milwaukee. The staff were great! Check-in was a breeze. We had an issue with our deadbolt lock not working. The staff person came up to the room and looked at it. He put in an order to have it fixed. He told us someone fixed it, but he didn't (I guess that staff person wasn't great). The door was a bit squeaky, also. We had a great dinner at the Lake House and a very nice breakfast experience the next morning at the hotel Bistro.

Water damage, horrible cheap shower that’s been patched, ceiling in bathroom coming down, dirty and smells. More noise than we’ve ever experienced. Did not sleep! Was one of the worst stays we’ve had. If there was going to be a Harley convention in town this should’ve been mentioned at booking time.

Nice older building, but the furniture showed it's age. People in the room next door were EXTREMELY LOUD - unsupervised kids. I talked to the front desk about them TWICE (which I normally never do) and they were not much help. They finally quieted down after 11pm, but by then we really couldn't enjoy our stay. Left early in the morning to catch the ferry, so no problems in the am.
The front desk staff were friendly, but not super helpful. The balcony view was fabulous, but not worth all the trouble with the "neighbors"

Hotel is outdated. Rooms were tiny. We had to switch rooms after our first room had a broken bed. Our second room had a couple other broken things in it (desk chair, fridge shelves…etc) lots of spiders outside the window, overall looks nice on the outside, but the inside needs major re-vamping.

Hotel was quite dated for the value. Room was very clean and location on the bay was nice. The A/C unit was so loud it was hard to sleep with it coming on and off so we just left it on loud all night. Would not recommend the stay and would definitely not pay this much for the outdated loud room.

For the cost, the room was not worth. Room small, very average with tiny tv loud air conditioner, old bathroom. View was nice after we informed front desk our room smelled like smoke ( that room was pretty bad).They moved use to the second room. Hair dryer blew up and front desk promptly brought another one. The location was good but would not stay here again for the cost. Also a $100 charge is issued on your credit card which will be credited back in one to two weeks. I've never liked that concept because they already have your card on file, why chargd the hundred?

When checking out it was VERY busy and there were no baggage carts available, after waiting for an hour on one. We carried our luggage, cooler, etc to our car.
