Air and heat worked tv worked nice room big compared to most hotel rooms everything was clean beds were comfortable and staff was great and easy to work with overall its nice quiet small hotel that you dont have to pay 300 dollars a night for its comfortable we planed a 2 night stay and didnt leave for 10 days

We usually stay at roadway Inn every time we come to Muskegon. This time they did not have a lower level room for us, which we are handicapOther than the struggle of getting up and down the stairs, the room was clean, but the beds was not comfortable. I wish this hotel had a elevator that would’ve brought my rating up.

Absolutely no reason for a restaurant with an attached bar to close at 10 pm on the weekend of bike week. I “thought” I could return to my hotel/motel at a reasonable time to enjoy the amenities. I was hungry and thirsty. But unfortunately I went to bed. Spent zero $$$ and got a great nights sleep. Then enjoyed a great breakfast the next morning in the restaurant.

Check in was great. When I go to the room the door would hardly open. The outside around the entry door had all sorts of trash around it and the security door wasn't closed. It did not close tightly at all making it a huge security issue. A handle on the drawers was off. The A/C worked great. There were no cups in the room to get a drink. The first day there was almost no hot water in the shower and the shower handle has just about fallen off.. I have stayed here a number of times in the past and it was much nicer. In the future I will have to find another place to stay. This place needs a lot of work and clean up. Way over priced for the accomodations...!!!

The place is a dump. There's supposed to be no smoking on the property. But yet people are smoking weed in their rooms and you can smell it. It's very ghetto, and people fight in the hallways, yelling back-and-forth all night long. It's a drug haven.

The past coupleti.es I have stayed there has been extremely loud guests inside and outside the building from 7pm until 5am. Nothing was said to anyone about the noise and I'm pretty confident the whole place could hear it. For the price you pay, facilities are fine. Environment however, will keep me from visiting again.

I had hoped for more at $170 for a night, but this place was terrible.

The photo on the wbsite of the pool table is actually th bar next door.
Very dirty, run down, falling apart place. Beds and pillows uncomfortable, no trash can in the room at all, floor trim falling off the wal, tiles in the bathroom falling off the wall, large mirror above the des hung crooked, not just out of alignment, but actually hung crooked.

Not great. Things were missing from the room and it was half cleaned. When we brought it to the attention of the staff they said they couldnt fix our problem. Then my husband came back toward the desk and the staff was calling people picky for expecting at least a clean room. Mind you we stayed in the room because they were sold out but another couple asked to be moved right before because their room had not been cleaned at all.

While the room was clean, the chairs had old, stained and worn upholstery that smelled heavily of cigarettes, along with the curtains. The flooring was tile, so the mattress and bedding, along with the other furniture must have been the source of the heavy tobacco smell. Clerk at the desk was nice though and linens were clean.

Room was badly on need of repairs. Window sills were severely water damaged and separating away from windows and walls. Drapes were filthy had insulation coating that was peeling off. Heater has noise of fan rubbing on something all night long. Caulking around sink was separated. Door swiches were dirty brown. Bed is old lumpy mattress. Very old motel and poorly maintained. Would never recommend it.

when we arrived at the hotel to check someone was dumpster diving in the back of the building. the parking lot is shared with a company so they can store their trucks. once we were in the building, the inside is extremely dated and dirty. the front desk area looks like a makeshift space that was thrown together. the lobby itself was clean. the lady at the front desk was ok, she didn’t really make eye contact but gave us the info we needed. when we walked into the room the light switch did not work at all. we ended up just using the lamps in the room. the curtains didn’t close all the way. the room itself just looked dirty. we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the bed there at all. in the middle of the night during our stay someone tried to get in the room. we did what we could for safety on our end to prevent someone from being able to open the door.

it’s crazy how much the price of the hotel was for the quality. i recommend to just spend more money and go somewhere nicer. this hotel is not worth it at all.

The only reason not to review this even lower was the friendly woman at the front desk and the comfortable bed. The carpet in the halls and our room was sticky and very dirty. The window curtains had holes in the liner. There were numerous holes and scratches on the walls. The side chair was very old and as filthy as the carpet. The tv remote could only be used for channel selection-not for on/off. There were patches in the ceiling. The room across from ours seemed to have people coming in and out every 15-30 minutes until early morning hours. The desk chair had most of the vinyl worn off. i would never recommend this place to anyone and at a cost of almost $300 for 2 nights!

The manager Cheryl has been very polite, courteous, knowledgeable, respectful, and made sure my husband and I were comfortable. The housekeeper kept our room clean. A very old motel with a very large attached restaurant. Several rooms were being dried out while we were there, there was water on the carpet of my room, the owners were not particularly welcoming in the restaurant, where breakfast was available, was very old, very understaffed, and what is the equivalent of a low level McDonald’s. The hotel was a little out of the way, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with. One suggestion, I was on the second floor and required the use of stairs on the outside to get to the second floor. There was no operational light to see the stairs. An accident waiting to happen. And the security door did not seem to close securely each time. Needs checking. Other than no breakfast, it was an ok stay. I think people should be able to expect a small bite to eat even if it's just a simple muffin.

Not worth saving a bit of money

The rooms are very clean. It is a budget motel and a bit outdated, so you pretty much know what to expect! Two complaints, 1st is the overwhelming smell of smoke in a smoke-free place (I am severely sensitive and got a headache within minutes of entering room) Luckily I carry air fresheners so that helped a bit. 2nd is the bed! So hard and completely uncomfortable. After first night, I was having horrible neck and back pain. I unfortunately booked “No refund” to get a better price- MY FAULT! We would have left and gone somewhere else if we could have gotten our money back! 3 days later and still having issues. Just beware this is cheaper but it’s not worth saving a couple of dollars for lack of comfort

What you see online IS NOT what you’ll pull up to. This place is located in an awful neighborhood. You’re greeted by the scent of pine-sol and stale cigarette smoke. The place is falling apar!! Dripping ice machine, exposed wires, dingy walls and decor.. it’s absolutely disgusting! I made it as far as walking in the room and walking right back out.. the drapery was falling off the rod, the stained carpet and again, cigarette smell was a NO! I’m pretty sure any good review is a bogus or paid review. It’s a total scam!
