DO NOT STAY HERE! I needed a place to stay for my small business trip and I understand that you get what you pay for. First gentleman was nice but the tall man of Indian descent was rude at checkout when I asked for a receipt of my deposit going back on my card. I couldn’t understand his accent so he started yelling at me saying they don’t give receipts. My room was okay but there was hair in the shower and on the day of checkout there was a roach in the bathroom. They have two buildings which one is a long term stay that is very dirty and the outside of both buildings are in horrible condition. It wasn’t until I entered the second building that the hallway looked decent. The road that the motel is on looks like it’s on a closed street with many potholes that I passed it up on my first attempt. I should’ve listened to my gut and gone elsewhere but I was exhausted from a three hour drive plus an eight hour workday. Stay at your own risk.

I want to like this property. They are trying. Newly redone rooms that have all new flooring, paint, beds are very nice. The hotel itself is old and has seen better days. I think they're working on it but the parking lot and surrounding area seems a little time warn and not real safe. Leaving our motorcycles out gave us a moment's pause. Staff is excellent and very nice. Heating units and low water pressure took away from the experience. No washcloths and just the bare basic soap with no shampoo and time worn towels. Got to give them credit for trying and give the staff kudos for taking care of us. Everything is headed in the right direction. I hope they get this upgraded externally as well as they have done the rooms. A little more intention with showers and water pressure and heat a/c. All in all it was clean and comfortable but I'm not sure I would bring my other half to stay overnight

This place is disgusting. The hotel clerk was very nice and I thought everything was okay but I soon as I drove back to the building where my room was there's debris all over the parking lot it looks desolate I go to my room and I immediately smell musty odor it's dark it is nothing like the pictures posted on Expedia and there are stains on the sheets. So I didn't even take my things into the room I turned around and I went right back to the front desk and I asked to check out and she said no problem and that I would get a refund. That was over 2 weeks ago and now through Expedia I'm fighting for my refund and the hotel has told Expedia that I was a no-show. If I was a no-show how did they authorize my debit card $50 for incidental deposit? When I call the hotel to find out what's going on with my refund they're acting like Expedia is the one not trying to give me a refund.

As soon as i walked in the lady working the front desk immediately started complaining that i was there to a woman sitting in the lobby with her children working with her. As soon as she was finished complaining about my presence, she got on the walkie figuring out which rooms were due for check out and room numbers owed amount leaving me to stand there for the next 5 minutes before she had even said hi to me. I immediately asked for my reservation to be canceled. It was dirty, uninviting, older men and women smoking everywhere and bugs crawling all over inside. This was not a place i felt safe having my family. It looked nothing like the photos and definitely not somewhere worth $100

I stayed at OYO Mona Lake Motel in Muskegon and had to leave shortly after checking in. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and crawling near the window. I even took a picture of one — that’s how bad it was.

I know some people book budget places to save money — I get it, I was doing the same. But this one? Not worth it at all. It felt dirty, unsafe, and neglected. The front desk didn’t seem surprised when I complained, which tells me this isn’t a one-time issue.

I ended up leaving and paying more just to feel clean and safe somewhere else.
If you’re even considering staying here — DON’T. It’s not worth the stress, the bugs, or risking your health. You can do better.

This property is a SCAM. These pictures are clearly edited and in no way, shape or form a legit representation of this location and hotel. We pulled up and drove off immediately. The building was so dilapidated, we passed it at first thinking it was an abandoned building. The windows are busted and boarded up, landscaping is higher than the building, the place is disgusting. Staff was great and very nice, but the room was nasty. Old dirty pillows that smelled, shower obviously wasnt clean because it still had hair in it, room had a really bad smell, no phones to ring front desk, night stands had some type of grease on them. Our last night we had water leaking from bathroom fan so we were moved to another room which wasn't as bad. Makes me wonder why someone would even have the gross room even available to stay in. Never again will we stay there.

Within an hour of arrival we canceled and went elsewhere. The ceiling was bubbled from hvac above and looked like it was going to drop. Walls were noticeably dirty. Even the telephone cord looked like it had either dirt or chocolate on it.
The general area was terribly rundown and felt unsafe. Not at all like the reviews stated. Or the pictures on the website.
Staff initially refunded the cost of the room. But ran it through their audit long after we left and took the money from my card.
Now, I either have this reversed or dispute the charge with the bank. Bogus management or ownership should make this right immediately.

Went there and they had no rooms at 745 pm, so we had no place to go..it was scary looking there and the registration desk didn't look like it was attached to hotel. The add is deceiving.

PICTURES ARE OF GENERIC HOTEL AND NOT THE LISTED PROPERTY. Genuinely the most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. My room had a smell that still haunts me almost two weeks later. Smelled as if a block of cheese had been left in a hot room for weeks without any ventilation. Smell was so bad I nearly threw up and had to put Icy Hot under my nose to sleep. The rest of the room was so dirty that it was nauseating. Was truly a horrific experience that will lead to me vetting hotels I stay at in the future much more closely.

You can't beat the quality for the price, and it was a relatively safe area. I would not recommend a woman staying here alone, but a family with a man, or a man solo would be safe. The hotel is under new ownership, and they are trying to make it better, which is awesome, but it takes time.

The room was clean. That is about all for the stay that was good. I was not told to keep the receipt for my 50 dollar deposit. Nor was I given one. This morning when checking out I was told I needed the receipt to get back my deposit. I explained to the lady that I wasn’t given one. She told me someone would be contacting me about it when a manager was available. I still haven’t gotten a call. I called the hotel about my pillows that were left in the room. The staff said they threw them away. I asked to speak to someone about the issue and again was told to call tomorrow during business hours. So now they have my 50 bucks. 2 king size pillows. Thank god I set my phone up to find my phone. Cuz getting things ready to leave this morning I left my phone on the bed. Went back in the room to get and r bed had already been stripped. I asked the front desk if anyone saw my phone. I was told there was no phone. After it started to play chimes it was found. So my experience at this place was they cheat and lie. Also the microwave didn’t work. Never again.

We stayed there a few years ago with our pet. It was kind of rugged coming into the property, but the room seem clean and we had no issues. this time we stay with our pet. We noticed there was no chair in the room. We only had the bed to sit on. The bed sheets were stained so we had to sleep in our clothes. Other customers were very noisy, slamming doors talking throughout the night and starting a loud vehicle throughout the night. Since it was cold outside I assume maybe they were staying in the car and was continuously turning on the car to keep warm. We Did not sleep well that night at all And was very glad to get out of there that next morning.
