The pools were beautiful. Grounds were lovely. Lots of chairs at the pool. Room was very comfortable. Staff was nice. The beach looked amazing but $32 a day for an umbrella plus between $10 and $32 per day for a chair each plus gratuity per day was out of our budget. I was annoyed with it. The bathroom fan was extremely loud. And the eggs they served were not real, they were egg beaters.

The property was incredibly clean. There’s plenty to do for adults and children, very family friendly. Kenneth was very helpful with room needs. The pool is fabulous, lots of birds and lizards for entertainment. Great outdoor bar with friendly pool staff. The beach is nice with plenty of places to sit. We highly recommend this beach resort and would return ourselves in a second.

This resort was the perfect get away as all of my kids had something to do. Besides relaxing by the pool and beach this resort offers so many activities for kids and adults too! I very much enjoyed hanging by the adult pool! The staff was so kind and helpful with my special needs son as well! We will definitely be back!

The property location and condition were very good.
Our room was a mini suite, which was beautiful, fairly well appointed, and we overlooked over the pool area and could see the ocean in the horizon.
The issue is there were a ton of kids at the resort. My guess is that Lago Mar is a precursor or a day after property for those that enjoy cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. We were there for three days and could not get a seat at the pool. There is a children’s pool with a ton of kids and an adult pool that is nowhere near big enough.
If you want to go to the beach, there is only one company that you are allowed to rent umbrellas and chairs from. One umbrella and two chairs is $62 per day plus gratuity. So if you’re staying for a few days, do the math…
The ownership needs to reevaluate some of the real estate within the resort area and allocate rarely used ball courts for additional pool space.
The director of Food and beverage was fantastic and bourbon expert! He was great. Thank you Dante!

The hotel and pool area is very nice but busy, need to get sun beds early if you want some. The room was nice with comfy beds but with a connecting door you can hear noise from the next room including in our case a crying baby and loud mother. For the price you might expect a free bottle of water included but they’re $5 each.

Room was clean AC in the living room was very cold not very strong in the bedroom. Had to maintain door open to try to get some air from the living room into the bedroom to try to sleep comfortably biggest drawback is when you want to watch TV to wind down the Chromecast only available feature built into the TV does not work properly . Does not stay connected so you cannot watch Netflix or prime video or anything properly . Lago mar needs to upgrade their televisions to have these apps readily available where you can sign in with their own accounts to Netflix Prime Video and so forth to be able to watch .TV function is basically useless unless you want to pay for a premium movie

The best family vacation so far!
The location was beautiful! The cleanliness of the rooms and the resorts overall was exceptional! It was very peaceful place. No loud parties and music.
They thought of everything! As funny as it sounds I love that they even had a scale in the room :) Everything is so convenient at this place so you just leave your worries at home and enjoy your time there. We love the history of this place and that it’s family owned. A lot of the staff there works for decades which itself speaks a lot about this place and the owners. This was our first time there but we fell in love with this place and we are committed moving forward to visit there at least once a year if not more.

Lago Mar was excellent!!! We traveled with our 3 children (7, 9 and 11) and there was a lot to do. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! The service is amazing. The resort is not super luxurious but the service is 5 Star In my opinion. Plenty of good food options available also.

Lovely post cruise stay. This was our 4th time visiting Lago Mar. The resort is beautiful, clean and well laid out. Our family enjoyed the pool and beach, as well as the casual dining. We did find the service to be spotty. We were best served by the front desk staff and concierge. Otherwise, we found some of the staff to be stuffy and not very personable.

We arrived around noon on the day of check-in. The front desk staff was not very welcoming and had us wait while they had a conversation between themselves. Then the person who checked us in did not know how to use the system and had to wait for someone else. We were checked in and told that our room would be ready by 4:00 and then given no instructions or map of the facility. We had to figure all that out on our own. We went out to the pool and there were no chairs available. We then went out to the beach which looked to be warm and we requested chairs and found out that just one chair and one umbrella was $56. We paid the money and had a chair set up only to realize that the beach was too windy. We did our best to stay out but had to go back almost right away and were not refunded for our chair. We then had to essentially sit on the pool deck without chairs for the rest of the day. While we waited our room. By 4:00, we had yet to hear from the hotel. I went up to the front desk and was told that our room was ready and I asked why I hadn't didn't contacted and was told it had just been made ready which I found unlikely. The restaurants in the hotel were either the soda shop which was fine but really like a diner, the promenade which had a limited menu, or the main restaurant which really seemed geared towards older people not families. The resort was beautiful and had a very old Florida feel but it was laid out strangely and there really wasn't enough room in the public area

The property pool, playground and beach area really nice, although the property itself is really outdated: toilet is shaking, rooms and the whole building needs a lot of renovation, outdated furniture. In life it looks different from the Expedia.
The stuff at the Soda shop was kind of moody and annoyed. On a good side, the reception stuff was really kind and nice.

This was our first stay at LM. We were there for 3-nights. We traveled as a senior couple but noticed that the facilities for families with young kids were good- family pool, playground, basketball hoop, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and ping pong on the beach. (We loved the large adult only pool by the outdoor cafe bar) And, the staff loved interacting with kids. In fact, the staff was superb! Friendly, helpful, hard-working, and very respectful. We had a leaky shower head when we arrived and within 10 mins of our call it was tightened and fixed. We particularly give a shout out to Dany in food service, who added his positivity to our days. We stayed in a large king suite with ocean view. Although some reviews called the room furnishings “tired,” we found the room quite comfortable: the bed and linens were comfy, plenty of drawers for clothing, large closet, kitchenette, and well-lit separate dressing area. Separate bathtub and a large shower in marble. The dining facilities were good. Eggs were cooked perfectly and all ingredients were fresh and nicely presented. There were several options for breakfast and lunch. Dinner at Acquario, the main dining room, was fine but uninspiring. Some more delicate and savory flavors are welcomed. We selected the resort because it is on the beach. The beach is clean and large - the best antidote to the cold, freezing New York winter we just came from. We will definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area!

The ideal multi-generational escape. We traveled with 2 adult children, enjoyed the beach and the adult pool. The tiki bar/poolside dining is excellent. The diner/ice cream bar has affordable breakfast and lite meals. This is relaxed luxury. Large than typical rooms, balconies make for a great place for coffee or if you need to do some remote work. Well cared for, pleasant professional staff throughout. Ideal place for young families with all kinds of games, courts, play set, bball court. Keep every age happy all day long.

Staff was very slow. Room was dated. The resort was dated. And for over $600 a night they should be ashamed of themselves. This elite dinner was the same room as breakfast. Staff rude and nasty. We asked for an accommodation or asked for anything, everything is no no no not worth it at all. Pool service, bad empty bottles laying around cigarette buds no one cleaning gross.

Great resort, loved the pool, music by the pool, pool bar, restaurants, large rooms, and the staff. They could not be more accommodating! The rooms are a little outdated, so is the inside restaurant and inside bar. Not a problem at all, just could use a refresh. My one and only complaint is the cost for everything. The place is a fortune, and you still have to pay for chairs on the beach which is ridiculous. I would love to go back, but at $800 a night, it's not likely.

We had a great overall stay at Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club. The property is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The private beach access is a huge plus and makes it feel peaceful and exclusive. There were also lots of family-friendly activities on site, which kept everyone entertained and made it a fun trip for all ages. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The only real downside for us was the mattress — it was quite uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. We also found the beach chair rentals to be more expensive than expected.

Overall, we truly enjoyed our time, made wonderful family memories, and would likely stay here again.

The room was huge whereas the bathroom was a little awkward. The resort was beautiful with lots of facilities and two pools, all located right on the beach.
Food was generally good and, though the breakfast buffet lacked a few elements, all the essentials were there. We found the restaurant staff rather laid back and they made a few quirky errors. Management was quick to put things right, so overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

The room was large and perfect for our family of five. The resort was great and so fun for our kids with the playground, mini golf, shuffle board and being right on the beach. They even had sand toys you could rent for free. The staff were all amazing - we chatted with the same girls at the soda shop everyday and they were so sweet! We didn’t leave the resort and unfortunately there’s no restaurants within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay with our 2 year old. The resort is very family friendly but does not feel overrun by kids at the same time. There are so many activities to do, places to eat and the beach is absolutely incredible. The room was immaculately clean and all of the stuff we came in contact with throughout the resort were so nice. The only exception was the older ladies cooking at the Soda Shop. They were rude and unpleasant to be around. They were constantly complaining about something, being condescending and unnecessarily harsh to the younger girls up front doing coffee or being rude straight to your face. It became a situation where I felt like I had to brace myself before going in in anticipation of what drama they were causing. Very weird vibes and unnecessary, it’s not that hard to be a decent and kind person to others. Otherwise, our trip was great and we will definitely be back.

Great spot for families with shallow and heated pool, on site playground, mini golf, and access to the beach as well. Property was well maintained, clean, and friendly staff! We enjoyed the live music at the pool in late afternoons while kids continued to swim. We would absolutely stay here again.
